I am not claming to have a source but I know a couple or jurniolists from lpool echo. One being sports editor one being crime writer. Seen the crime reporter today he's a united fan. Asked him about suarez, believe what u want he told me he spoke to sports editor other day and that lpool still havnt made an offer but have opend talks for a deal worth around 15 million but Ajax said no and are holding out for 28 but he said ppl in the echo expect a deal to go through for around 20 million. He also said there is a definate intrest in Honda and Arda Turan but not to expect all 3 because it would cost around 40 million. Not sayuing everything is going to happen. Just what he's said

Just heard that we are prepared to let dani pacheco go to blackpool on loan as part of the adam deal.pacheco wants this so he can get first team football.good move for dani as he would play regular football in a deacent team and get good experience.

If all you eds are right about Honda, how do you know? To be honest, Honda is an amazing, skilful player, ok, he's 29 but he's a superv free kick taker, skilful, quite quick and has lots of experience and cheaper then Suarez i'd be extremely happy with Honda even if we don't get Suarez. How do you know about Honda ed? We haven't even been linked with him much recently {ed's note - Honda isn't 29 at all, he is 24. We have reps out in Qatar speaking to him, as do AC Milan, probably a few other clubs too.}

I live and work in blackpool and i know steave thompson well and charlie adam is off to liverpool if they increase the offer slightly holloway will let him join the reds but he is no mug charlie is a very good player if we don't get him he will be a massive hit at another club

No deal has been done for anyone, Lfc have some money to give kk but he's gonna spend it wisely and he'll get a quality striker for alot less than Ajax want for Suarez. And where's your info coming from anyway?? What we need is a few wingers to supply Torres and stevie. Get Glen on one side and splash the cash on another winger. Johnson isn't the greatest defender but will be a world class winger wiv pace and who delivers a good cross.

Luis Suarez deal is done! the hold up is regarding Ryan Babel! Ajax are haggling over the fee/ wages for Babel crying poverty if you like. Not sure about the exact amount for Suarez but the deals done in theory.
Now that the Suarez deal is as good as done Liverpool are attempting to close another couple of first team deals and are after a couple of right Charlies! As we've already heard, a bid has been tabled for Blackpool's Charlie Adam for around £4 - £4.5m. The bid was rejected by Blackpool however its expected the club will return with an improved bid.
Also I have it on good faith that Liverpool have tabled an £11m bid for Charles N'Zogbia. I fully expect this bid to be accepted as it is roughly around the price Wigan stated they required to release the player.
That leaves only the 6 month loan deal of Stephen Warnock from Villa to be completed which is a little more than a formality!

We have an Exec. out there (Qatar) discussing the move with his agent. Don't expect a signing soon though, it will be completed after Asia Cup or when Japan get knocked out. 29th, 30th or 31st expect it to happen.

1) that a fee has been agreed and the player has discussd terms and a move is imminent, or

Ajax manager Frank de Boer admits that the club are unlikely to be able to afford Liverpool striker Ryan Babel.
Babel is stalling over a move to German side Hoffenheim after Liverpool accepted a £5.8 million bid for the 24-year-old, who appears to have his heart set on a dream move to his former club.
But de Boer, who took over at the Amsterdam Arena following the departure of Martin Jol, says that the combined transfer fee and wages would be too expensive for Ajax.
"He would be a very attractive proposition for us because he can operate on either flank or as a central striker, " de Boer told the Daily Mail.
"I know him very well from the national team, and his arrival here would make Ajax stronger. But I can see problems with the financial side of it. It looks a very expensive deal."
Babel travelled to Germany to discuss a deal with Hoffenheim earlier in the week but returned to Liverpool without putting pen to paper on a deal.
And the striker, who became the first player to be fined over the use of social network site Twitter, seems keen to move to Ajax.
Liverpool could use the striker as a makeweight in their pursuit of Luis Suarez - with the Anfield club and Ajax unable to agree in their valuation of the sought after striker.
Babel has indicated that he would take a pay cut to join his former team but may have to take a bigger cut than he first thought, meaning the deal is not certain to go through.

So much for all you people on here who said "Suarez agreeing personal terms in Liverpool tonight, medical and deal tomorrow".
Stop Bulling for god sake, deal is nowhere near that done yet. We haven't even spoken to Suarez personally yet and are negotiating with Ajax's Rik van den Boog and Frank De Boer over a fee before we can speak to Suarez.
I would know if a deal was close and it's not. We are working on a few deals at the moment but none will be announced today or tomorrow.
Coentrao has told us he is waiting for Real to make him an offer because he wants to work under Mourinho. (Hopefully he resigns in summer and comes to LFC then we can get Coentrao) We are trying to secure Taye Taiwo on a pre-contract agreement (his deal runs this summer).
We won't be chasing Ashley Young this january because we have no hope of getting him. Maybe the summer.
Kiesuke Honda will come and will be on of 3 deals to happen in January. He will be the last to sign. An official has been flown out to discuss a move with his agent (Honda is at the Asia Cup in Qatar).
I also expect Stephen Warnock to arrive on loan until the end of the season. He won't be signed permanantly because we will be getting Taiwo or Coentrao (depending if Mourinho becomes Manager) and Aurelio will be used as back up (and possibly Insua).
To summarise, I expect 1 striker, Kiesuke Honda (£14m) and Stephen Warnock (loan) to sign in January.

It is being reported this morning that the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is keen on signing the Slovenian international midfielder Valter Birsa, who is currently playing in France with Auxerre. The Reds boss is on the lookout for classy midfielders to increase the competition at Anfield.
The 24 year-old Birsa is already a seasoned international with Slovenia having made 43 appearances since becoming the youngest ever debutante for his country when he was just 18. Footylatest.com

With only 10 days left in the transfer window we have not signed anybody! Now this fact would not worry me if the transfer market had been quiet/ stagnent however there has been quite a lot of movement, i.e. Bent, Dzeko, Bentley, Santa Cruz etc.
I was hopeful that we would sign at least 2 to 3 quality players however, at this rate I'm not sure if we will even get 1. Why are we being so slow in purchasing players?!
I appreciate and agree with the new club policy of not revealing much prior to a transfer however surely the fact that we have signed nobody in the 3 weeks of the transfer window to date does not bode well. Do the Ed's or others think we will sign anybody this transfer window?

Key Points from based on the Luis Suarez deal.
* Liverpool have offered £16.5m for Suarez but Ajax are reluctant to sell for less that £21m
* Ajax coach Frank de Boer has confirmed that a deal for Ryan Babel to join would be 'financially difficult' for Ajax as the transfer fee and wages would prove too expensive for the Dutch club.
* Hoffenheim are still awaiting a decision from Ryan Babel to see whether he will make the move to the German club for an initial fee of £5.8m rising to £7m
So, to sum up, it doesn't look as if Babel will be going to Ajax as they cannot afford him leaving his only option at the moment to be a move to Hoffenheim. If Babel goes, the £5.8m will be put towards the £16.5m to match Ajax's asking price for Suarez. Effectively, this deal hinges on Ryan Babel accepting a move to Hoffenheim.

Ed are we cloase to signing suarez and young as comoli has come out and stated we are after them in jan? kenny sed yday in his press conference that the days of shankly havent changed to him and that transfers and sums of money wud be kept quiet until a deal has bin done - so i wonder if we have agreed a deal for them? also is there any truth in jarvis coming as wolves signed his replacement yday in adam hammill? {ed's note - for one the interview was done ages ago and the situation has since changed with a new manager in place. Liverpool have just enquired about the availability of Valencia's left winger Juan Manuel Mata, according to one of their former players (initials JC) who is "in the know". With Valencia's finances not the best, a bid of around £22M should be enough. Mata can also play just behind the striker, or as a playmaker forward (which Dalglish is so fond of), and should prove to be a a very popular signing among the spanish players already at Liverpool.

Ed I believe he this is in reference to the sale of the club, when Hicks and Gillette were owners. Yes the club was sold, but why in the blue hell would it take someone this long to make this observation? I think he is trying to cast doubt on your being a reliable source of information.
Anyway, I have been told by a reliable source, (not the ed, lol) that Ken Agureo is going to have his Medical tommorow at the East Liverpool Health Care Clinic! It was a shrewd bit of business, as he was picked up for a case of Carlsburg and two packets of crisps! It was said they were holding out for a Pukka pie as well, but Kenny balked at the deal. But a last second switch from regular to salt and vinegar sealed the deal. I posted a couple of days ago Liverpool had Luis suarez and Ashley young at the top of their shortlist. . and would definitely be interested if they became available at suitable prices (can u back me up ed? ). . and Commolli has now come out and said it! which proves my point. . . but to tell you the truth I would have been happier if he would have just shut his mouth!
Liverpool want 2 wide/ goal scoring forward players to play just behind behind torres. With Gerrard and Meireles playing as central midfielders (Box to box) with Lucas mopping up just behind them. Again i will say if Poulsen can be sold Charlie Adam will be brought (said this in me previous post) and he will fight for his place with Lucas. . . this is until the summer at least. . I will stress that these are the players at the top of the shortlist and if they cannot be signed there are alternatives! but the january transfer window is a very difficult time to buy. .
