Luis Muriel, how real do you think our intetest is in him please? He seems another player that we are always linked with? Is there any chance on him and is he what we are looking for?

Believable6 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - There was plenty of interest in Luis Muriel over last summer but none from Liverpool. Muriel he has signed a new long term contract at Udinese, but there is still interest from Atletico Madrid and AC Milan. His focus is on getting in to the Columbian side for the World Cup and then perhaps he will see what offers are on the table this summer as he is not getting as much game time as he wants. If Liverpool are to be interested it would probably be as a replacement for someone else. Getting a work permit may not be easy either}

Many thanks Eds for the reply. Bang on as usual mate. Seems like always most rumours have know substance at all. I'm sure a few things will happen end of season and when we know we're we have finished. Suppose us fans are trying to establish who we defo have interest in.

Read an article that suarez representatives have met with citys and agreed a deal for a move in the summer.I know its typical newspaper horseshiite but could it be possible that he could want a move after the year he's had? cheers ed

Believable3 Unbelievable39

{Ed002's Note - There won't be any agreement but there is no secret that his representative's are continuing to talk with other clubs, and they have, as I understand, recently spoken with Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester City's Txiki Beriguistain. They have been talking to other clubs regularly for well over a year. Anything else is pure speculation.}

Ed I don't know if this is a question you'll know the answer to, but why would his representatives be talking to other clubs? After the new contract and seemingly suggesting he would be happy to stay, even without CL football. Is it a fail safe, in case we don't get CL?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They want to keep their options open. The player has recently been talking up Juventus again. We will see what happens.}

Cheers Ed appreciate it, would love to see him retire with us but that's understandable!

Hi Ed do you have a quote from Suarez regarding him "talking up juventus"? Can't seem to find any on the web.

Ta

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It was in Spanish and in an interview with Vtv Deportes from memory.}

He was answering a question that's all. He said it would be good to play in Italy for Juventus. Doesn't mean he is looking for the move.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is suggesting he is, but his representatives have spoken with Juventus and others recently.}

Hi Eds hope

Whats your honest opinion on Shaquri (Spelling) coming to us. Do you think we have a good chance of getting him or not?

Believable9 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Shaqiri is one of the players Bayern are looking to sell and they are seriously pissed with him right now. Fiorentina have a declared interest with Napoli and Juventus having made tentative enquiries. I would not rule Liverpool out of declaring interest as well.}

Why are Bayern pissed with Shaquiri eds?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He and his agent have been doing a lot of talking to the press.}

Hi Ed02. What is your Opinion of Brendan Rodgers as a manager? Both from a man management and a tactical perspective. I see you have mentioned in a post that he is not the brightest of the lot and that he needs to get better at recruitment. But still how would you judge him?

Believable7 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - As a manager he is still on the learning curve as he is still opening his mouth and putting his foot in it far too often. The club has done what it can to help him out with recruitment and I would hope that the previous mistakes will be learned from. As a coach he is generally well respected and he has adapted to get past the "6 seconds of panic" (as termed by an ex-player) which was simply not working out. If he carries on as he has done recently the club will continue to be successful and has the opportunity to re-establish itself as part of the "big 4" or whatever it is called. He has also copped well with off field issues and not let them interfere with his job.}

What is the '6 seconds of panic'? Not a term I am familiar with.

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - It was what BR required of his players after losing the ball.}

The 6 second thing was copied from Barca.
I think Brendan conducts himself very well with the media, yes he is learning however I can't think of many examples of him putting his foot in it? And the club should always do what it can to help the manager / coach with transfer targets, whatever the club.

Ed02,

Just really curious, could you explain this "6 seconds of panic"?

Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Rodgers has traditionally had his players chase after the ball for 6 seconds after losing possession.}
