Heard that we are looking at a young Ajax player called Lukoki. I have never heard of him till today. Anybody know much about him?

20 Mar 2012 23:01:59
Any chance of buying Viktor Fishar from Ajax? DutchRed

20 Mar 2012 22:44:27
eds, is there any chance that we might go for jacob mellis after he was released from chelsea? he was tipped to be a first team regular, and only got sacked for a practical joke rather than form. {Ed001's Note - I doubt we will move for him, he had chances at Chelsea, would they have let him go if he was that good? He will drift back down to the lower leagues I expect.}

Ed001...why did chelsea allow johnson to move on? {Ed001's Note - you mean Glenn Johnson? He was sold because he couldn't get in the team regularly and wasn't happy on the bench.}

Im pretty sure that stunt put his career up in smoke {Ed002's Note - Mellis has an opportunity to go to Burnley but is looking to seee if Sheffield United would want him.}

It was a joke ed. but ya i would imagine a few other teams would want him just if he gives any more crap like that he will screw his career over

20 Mar 2012 22:15:07
{Ed022's note - brand new player profile on Roberto Soldado, linked with Liverpool in recent times. www.player-profiles.co.uk - enjoy all!}

20 Mar 2012 22:14:21
He also said that Tello's buyout clause, was only 10 million Euros. Would love to see this kid at the club. He's a fantastic player and only 20.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

We would of went for him before his 2 goals against lavercusen in the CL an his goal today but now we ent got a chance hope we are still interested though proper talent would Finnish the spear head attack

20 Mar 2012 22:10:37
Ed, just watched the Barca game and Balague said that we are monitoring Tello's contract negotiations. Have you heard anything?

Thanks

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96 {Ed001's Note - he could have named any club in the world and he would have been pretty much right! But we have a couple of aces up our sleeves with him, Rodolfo Borrell and Pep Segura are still close to him. Believe me, if he becomes available we will be in there like a shot.}

We could do a lot worse than Tello and Soldado, Ill tell you that ;)

So do u think me hav a chance ed? {Ed001's Note - if he decided to leave, I do believe that we would have a very good chance, Liverpool are still held in high regard in Spain, add Borrell and Segura to that and we have a good chance.}

It won't happen regarding said aces too many better clubs across europe, even to take him on loan would be doubtful...

I think its most likely he's gonna stay there. He's been given chances to play and made that left wing his little play area. Don't think he will go anywhere.

I agree i herd this a while back so i really do hope so as good as young talent gets

Top 10 in the world in 6 years time,would be great as we could blood him in to the prem straight away,he runs at players unlike downing and has great pace,fingers crossed but many other clubs will be fighting too.dont hold your breath

We will need either a Spanish/Latin manager, or someone who has a track record of developing Latin players in the EPL, like Whiskey Nose.

The "buy British and lump it to Carroll" approach will make it more difficult for us to attract players like Tello.

If we meet the buyout clause does that automatically mean he has to come to the club?
taran {Ed002's Note - No. I know that Balague has said that Tello's contract is up this year but that is not my understanding and I very much expect that Barcelona will offer him a new deal. As for interest from Liverpool I don't know how serious it is but I understand the player has been watched. There is also some interest from Valencia.}

20 Mar 2012 21:08:47
Hi Eds is there any chance of buying Gary Mackay-Steven from Dundee united? Also when is Raheem Sterling going to be picked by KK? Thanks, keep up the good work {Ed001's Note - why would we want him back? Sterling will play when he is ready.}

You say that ed but if Liverpool had a real winger like GMS and not an over-priced diddy like Downing then think how many goals Carroll would score.

20 Mar 2012 20:19:57
Posted on January the 10th that Suarez will sign a new contract, check archives. Some of the post you will see under my name wasn't me.

Hello all
For those who like a bit of a flutter I know 100%FACT that alex fergusen will not be manager at united next season as the so called special one is tAking over not saying I wanted him at Liverpool but I did not want him at the scum either GUTTED! But trust me this is True GET YOUR MONEY ON ! Keith a

You could be right, I saw on the united page last week someone said exactly that, apparently he was talking to someone connected to Fergie through horse racing.
Is your source the same?

Chris in Tamworth

Not a chance , why , simples , cos the money is not there , to pay his huge wages , and the transfers he would demand .
redforever

Too right redforever. Also, Man Utd like to boast of playing attacking, attractive football. It's part of their brand, and not something they're going to want to sacrifice just for the sake of hiring Mourihno.

20 Mar 2012 19:40:50
hey eds

watching that twitter thing were people quiz garcia and he said he regrets leaving liverpool and he would come back, any chance of this? {Ed001's Note - no.}

20 Mar 2012 19:34:19
Arda Turan has expressed that he wants to come to the premiership next season, KD and DC are big admirers.
Jackson Martinez also keen to come to anfield, can see him partnering Suarez next season.
Gaston Ramirez, Isla and Fernando Reges also being scouted heavily.

Are KD and DC really big admirers of Turan? He seems like Honda, in that both players seemed to be there for the taking, but LFC never followed up on their reported interest.

-Red Socks

Which Isla? - Blair, St Clair or Fisher? cause Mauricio Isla has been injured for months. Hopefully Fisher, but knowing KK's age I reckon he'll be a big admirer of St Clair.

last yr we had a young mexican on trial bruna i think his name was. any news on what happened

Bueno
taran

Marco Bueno, he cant move till he turns 18, which is in Aprill i believe so he wont get here till the summer, playing really well for the Pachuca senioir side in the mexican premier league though.

I think you're thinking of Marco Bueno mate. From what i can remember he's signed a pre-contract with us or something along those lines and he will sign when he's 18. That is what i think happened with him anyways

Bueno his name is. i think he signed a pre-contract and will join in the summer when he is 18

How many goals has he scored for them?

3 goals in 290 mins (9 matches) so mostly sub appearances

Suffolkn'red

3 goals in 9 matches better than most of what we have at the minute

20 Mar 2012 18:56:22
Eds,
who do you rate higher?
David Hoilett or Matt Phillips?
And why?
And which one is more likely to sign at this moment in time? {Ed001's Note - Phillips by a long way, because I think he has the potential to be a better player. It is just unfortunate he is in the Championship so he can't prove it. He is also the more likely to sign.}

Adele tarrabt tore that league up though and we all saw what happened to him

I read from another site that Commolli set up a meeting with some high powered agent[s] few days back in Madrid. Do you know anything about this? Any leads?

Thanks.

1892-LFC

Probably Daz Surf and Persil new products and powerful new agents. Not impressed by Commoli. Why do we need him ?

Lol to reply

gee man

Didn't know Real had any mediocre players from the North East

20 Mar 2012 18:31:26
eds any interest in mason bennett of derby ? {Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure that we have made enquiries about him but Derby's asking price was too high.}

Derby aren't looking for less than 10million for the lad. City were also very keen apparently but were put off by the price. Derby are happy to keep him and develope him futher over the next year or two and still expect to get over 10m when he's more established in the future.

20 Mar 2012 18:30:09
Evening to the eds,just wanted to ask if you know of any interest in André Schürrle?remember people saying we had been looking at players in the German league a while back.

PM {Ed001's Note - Schurrle? Sorry if I have the wrong lad, but if you do mean him, I believe we have scouted him, but I couldn't tell you any more about him than that.}

20 Mar 2012 17:50:42
A few months ago there was talk of Leroy Fer from FC Twentee, are we still interested Ed? {Ed001's Note - sorry, I don't know, hard to say as we regularly watch them to assess De Jong's progress, it is easy for them to disguise interest in other players at the club.}

20 Mar 2012 17:38:45
Hi eds are any clubs interested or looking at Luciano narsingh? Plays for Dutch side heerenveen

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

20 Mar 2012 16:42:10
ed are we continueing our interest with matt philips? is it strong? ive never seen him play, only on ur description, but he seems like someone we need.

Kaizer {Ed001's Note - yes and yes.}

Currently are who are the likeliest to get his signature? what other teams are watching him as well? i remmebered u said spurs i think.

Kaizer {Ed001's Note - Spurs are very interested, but it is impossible to say who is most likely to get him. We are talking about dealing with Karl Oyston here, it is difficult to know what will happen! But I would think it is most likely, as it seems right now, to be between us and Spurs. There are a few other teams in the Prem interested, such as Stoke, but I believe Blackpool would rather hold onto him than let him go to one of the smaller Prem clubs. They want to get back in the Prem themselves.}

Thanks ed. would love to see him here.

Kaizer

20 Mar 2012 16:34:01
Hey ed i was just wondering you say a backup GK will be a target again this summer with Doni leaving.

Could Gulacsi be considered for the backup GK? Or will he be looking to move on or go on loan again for the good of his career? {Ed001's Note - he will get the chance to discuss that with the club in the summer, that is when a decision will be made.}

Thanks ed

20 Mar 2012 16:31:45
is it true suarez committed his future eds?
taran {Ed001's Note - not yet, but talks have been opened regarding a new contract.}

Cheers do u think he will eds?
taran {Ed001's Note - the only issue I see is if someone steps in with a huge bid for him, other than that I don't see him leaving. Madrid seem to have moved on to Cavani, so that should see him stay and the new contract would be part of it.}

He signed a 5 and a half year contract last jan, why does he need a new contract? {Ed002's Note - That would be in breach of the rules.}

How does it breach the rules eds
taran {Ed002's Note - It doesn't. Well spotted. That was in reply to a post about Sterling signing a long contract. Sorry.}

20 Mar 2012 16:23:34
Hey eds, are we interested in Junior Hoilett? {Ed001's Note - minor interest, yes.}

20 Mar 2012 16:36:51
Dries Mertens is a top class player. Is there any interest from Liverpool F.C. ?

Dries I have watched live on a few occasions at PSV. Sorry mate, but he is not what I would call world-class. Not good enough for Liverpool if you ask me. Yes he is quick, and scores goals for PSV, but he is more like a Fulham player than a LFC lad.

Andy W

There is probably interest but, let's be honest, he aint signing for your lot cause they're pish!

20 Mar 2012 16:18:15
Eds you mentioned that Doni is likely to leave in the summer. Will we need to bring in a replacement or will Gulasci, Bellford or Ward become back up? Don't think we need to buy one as Reina never misses a game. {Ed001's Note - we have looked at some youngsters to replace him, but I don't believe it is a need, more of a want.}

I reckon Brad Jones'll leave and probably Doni too. Danny Ward is expected to eventually replace Pepe and I think eventually him and Belford will contest for a place on the bench. Gulacsi will be sold when he returns from his loan because he's a good keeper and has been hanging around too long for a promising keeper

20 Mar 2012 16:07:32
Are lfc interested in Isla and Benatia of Udinese?

20 Mar 2012 15:20:54
Hey eds you say city would pay any thing martinez or they not intrested in de rossi too I think the little chance we have can happen {Ed001's Note - De Rossi is almost certain to stay at Roma.}

I don't understand what you're saying....

20 Mar 2012 15:06:54
From what I saw last week at Langtree Park St.Helens , Viktor Fischer the Ajax number 11 on the night , will be a world class player in a year or so, if he isn't already at the age of 17, so I'm told. The bad news I heard was that the Scottish purple beak has already tapped him up.
Why are we always left at the post with these guys ???

We only just signed teixera, and over the course of 3 years we must have signed nearly fifty kids.

Never heard that before. is it true?

Because of your league position? Or last years, or the last 20 years...

Gav

20 Mar 2012 13:53:39
Hey eds, don't mean to put you on the spot but you keep saying we need a right winger and a striker. Who would you like to see fill those positions and who would be available to us without champions league? Obviously I don't mean the likes of messi and aguero {Ed001's Note - I would love Higuain and Navas, but that isn't happening. De Jong and Ramirez look the likeliest at the moment, both would join without Champions League football.}

Hope we get the deal for Ramirez tied up asap, not sure Luuk Du Jong is the right striker for us.

And Matt Phillips, as I persume, of ur responces earlier. Heard Stoke are trying to get him. Hope, he'd be signed by us. I've seen many glittering reports about him from, eds and seen him play once and he was very good that day. YNWA {Ed001's Note - I don't see us moving for him in the summer though, personally I would probably move for him and Ramirez.}

Yea but both am not good enough in my opinion, id rather promote Sterling and Morgan instead and then when we get in the champions league then perhaps we could get the likes of navas and higuain {Ed001's Note - Sterling and Morgan are not ready for regular first team football.}

Ed i think higuain could be a possibility. Balague said he will probably go and he wants first team football. We can give him that. What do you think? {Ed001's Note - I think he will end up in Italy myself.}

How come Chelski and City would still attract top names without CL football wages? {Ed001's Note - you answered your own question. We are looking for players who want to play for us and the chance to win trophies, not money.}

Ed do you think we would go for higuain if he came available? {Ed001's Note - I am sure we would at least make an enquiry and find out if he would have any interest, unless it was after all our business had already been done.}

Hi ed, I know we are interested in Ramirez and De Jong from a long time. But do u know if we are still scouting them in matches and also talking to their respective clubs periodically. Do u think both Comolli and Kenny like them and are u confident that we will see them in red next season. Thanks

AJ {Ed001's Note - we have them watched regularly, contact between the clubs happens anyway.}

Morgan and sterling will be briefly used in some of the europa games next season if that is what we're getting. with regards to higuain, he is almost certain to end up in juventus i think.

There can be only one.....Ramirez....(cue Sean connery's beheading, followed by queen instrumental)

Allseeingaaiiii

Ed's, if Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain were ready at his age, I don't see why Sterling can't play a first team role next season. He's as talented as both of them. {Ed003's Note - Kids develop at different stages,their is no one rule for each individual}

Almost certain you think? doesn't sound very certain.

To the first reply! im not sure Luuk de Jong is the right striker either. He is a striker that actually can score goals, as opposed to ours!

Steve

20 Mar 2012 13:51:19
Hi to ed001 do you know of are chances for ilker munian (spelling)

Cheers {Ed001's Note - he was touted around Europe for 40 Euros in January, there were no takers. I don't see any change in the situation with regards to us, though there may be other teams willing to pay that for him.}

Thanks mate for clearing that up

Wow, 40 euros, a barain. {Ed001's Note - ooops! I missed out the million, sorry, bit like your g going missing. Maybe they have gone to the same place?}

20 Mar 2012 13:36:28
Ed001- Any more info on Bellers?

Dublad {Ed001's Note - nothing, as far as I can find out he hurt himself and was rested to let it heal. While he is disappointed and frustrated to be sat on the sidelines, friends of his are denying any kind of fight with Kenny. In fact they say that the pair of them are close and Bellers pretty much worships Dalglish.}

Cool thanks for the info. Glad there's no rift.

Dublad {Ed001's Note - obviously you have to bear in mind that this is coming from friends of Bellamy, so they might be covering his back. But I don't believe they are, Bellers is a changed lad these days, he has matured massively.}

I agree Ed, he's a totally different character. You can tell just by the way he goes about his game.

20 Mar 2012 13:13:52
Eds are we intrested in my best player javi martinez {Ed001's Note - yes, but there is little chance of him joining us, City would pay pretty much anything for him.}

20 Mar 2012 12:43:10
I've been told by my friend he thinks hamsik will defo sign for us wot do u reckon

I think that your friends are having you on. Take everything with a pinch of salt, it could happen, it may not. Nothing is certain with transfers!

LFC_7

I've been told by my friend messi will sign for us....

That your friends a liar

I reckon your friend has a good dealer!

Gav

Is your friend king Kenny?

Is your friends name mork

What are you smoking????

20 Mar 2012 11:22:35
Ed's I notice that Dimi Berbatov will be leaving uts in the summer, I'm guessing he'll command a fee in the region of £5-7m . Do you think we might have a cheeky bid? I think it would Carroll chance to continue his development without the pressure of needing to get 20 goals, and because of dimi's age he doesn't represent a threat to Carroll in terms of a long term replacement, say what you want about his attitude and work rate dimi gets goals. I'd be interested to hear your opinions

Thanks

Andy {Ed001's Note - sorry Berbs, you are useless, smoke 40 a day and we have no interest.}

Hey Ed.. I agree that Berba is probably not an option for us, but pls do not insult him. He is a very good and really underrated player, whose chance to shine was to a large degree ruined by Ferguson. I firmly believe that if he transfered to us or went back to Spurs, he will once again show the world why he costs 30 million pounds.

Drigan {Ed001's Note - he is slow and lazy, yes he has ability, but no good having ability if you can't be bothered to make the effort to use it.}

Useful info by the Ed. That's why Berbatov was PL's top scorer last year with many games on the bench. Really useless player... {Ed001's Note - with the service he was getting, it is hardly a sign of a world class striker is it?}

To the original poster, Berbatov is out of contract in the summer so there would be no fee, but rather large wages

Dodge

I do understand why SAF would'nt use him last year, he was only topscorer. We will not want a topscorer in Liverpool.

Unfortunately, it seems United will opt for extending his contract, then sell him for 6- millions - but never to a direct rival like us.

Drigan

It is a sign of a poacher Ed. Something we don't have. Even with the service he got, United last year was the worst United of the last 10 years, so I wouldn't call it top service...still he came top scorer.

He doesn't run around like a headless chicken. I don't want him at Liverpool ( his age) but the lads been a good goalscorer and skilful player who can actually lay a ball off and bring others into play.
Typical English mentality putting workrate before skill.
