Karius gone on a permenant deal now ed?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Besiktas say it is a two year loan for a fixed fee, a club performance based obligation to buy at an agreed fixed fee with Liverpool having a sell on clause based on a percentage of the profit made from any future sale on a sliding scale. Effectively gone for good.}

Good luck to him, hope he turns his career around.

Good luck to him šŸ‘.

{Ed002's Note - Good for you Ron.}

20 Aug 2018 21:59:34
Wish him all the best, I really hope he goes on to have a very good career.

Surely means migs will be kept to jan at least.

Agree21 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Right, he sure as hell will be unhappy given the work his agent has done.}

20 Aug 2018 22:03:35
Agree good luck to Karius and I think it's the right decision for him to develop elsewhere. Having just watched the Palace game, Alisson is a breast though and absolutely makes a difference in a game we would not have won last season.

Does this mean Allison will wear the number 1 shirt now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is a shirt number, who cares?}

20 Aug 2018 22:34:49
I genuinely wish him all the best.
I had issues with him but it was never a personal thing. He wasnā€™t suited to the premier league. If he comes back to Anfield as an opponent he will get a big cheer from me šŸ‘.

20 Aug 2018 22:27:54
I thought once itā€™s registered it was there for the season, and Ed002 I know he was looking at leaving but wasnā€™t Besiktas an option for him? Is there many teams left as an option for migs?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - His agent has been trying.}

20 Aug 2018 22:30:33
I hope Karius can regain his form and confidence with a fresh start.
Ed02, with Napoli and Besiktas both choosing different keepers to Mignolet, has he run out of options, or are there other clubs possibly interested. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - His agent wants a move - and January will never be good.}

Best of luck to Karius. I wish it would have worked out for him here, but I'm happy that he is getting a fresh start.

I know he made mistakes. never met anyone who didn't. Sorry he is going and will always remember his part in getting us the Champs league final. I seem to recall he was an integral part of that. Good luck to you Karius YNWA.

I still feel really sorry for Karius - maybe he was not at Alissons standard but he helped stabilise us last year until the final and didnā€™t deserve anything like the abuse those scumbags gave him. Nobody should ever have their life or worth judged by one game of football.

I sincerely hope he doesnā€™t associate all Liverpool ā€˜fansā€™ the same way and he goes on be successful and to look past that one game and to cherish some of the wonderful matches he played in for us and helped create. I sincerely believe we would never have even gotten to the final without him.

YNWA Karius, wishing you all the best.

Sad to see him go. However Alisson is a clear improvement and certainly our number 1. Karius deserves a chance to be a number 1 for another top team.

Good luck to him.

I find it very hard to feel sorry for someone who let down all his teammates and tens of millions of fans around the world, on two occassions in the clubs biggest game in a decade, all for a loss of concentration that you find it hard to believe a sunday league player would make. I also find it hard to be sympathetic given that after said mistake, instead of offering to give up his holiday to train all summer and reclaim some dignity (as many of our players have offered to do over the past few years despite not cocking up) he chose to go on holiday without shame and absolutely blitz his social media. And then on top of all that, when we sign a world class player in his position, which all things considered was warranted, he decides to complain about it in public to the press.

Iā€™m not saying i have any particular distain for the guy, i wish him well, but he has left like a spoilt brat and i will not miss him anymore than i did Enrique, Johnson or Balotelli. Mignolet will not get a move he has probably been looking towards for a much longer period of time and still has handled it with more grace than Karius has.

{Ed002's Note - The Liverpool will have to find someone else for the death wishes now. Someone made a really foul attack on TAA earlier - perhaps him?}

21 Aug 2018 19:04:16
I think you are talking utter rubbish Anonymous Woolback.

Are you forgetting the two point plank shots he saved earlier in that match that any keeper would have been forgiven for letting in. or the fact that he may well have been concussed. or that he had a Liverpool shirt on and was doing his best to represent that. Perhaps not having a rest when everyone else had the world cup in their sights would have fixed the loss or maybe the death threats would have convinced him to stay at melwood.

Agree14 Disagree5

21 Aug 2018 22:09:29
Sorry redalLover but you are talking rubbish, a keeper that makes the mistakes he made isn't good enough, end of, the fact he made 2 saves that as you say "any keeper would have been forgiven for letting in" does not mean he is let off for making 2 of the most basic errors in arguably the biggest game of Liverpools recent history, yes I feel for Karius but he will move on and maybe/ hopefully have a great career, its just not happened for him at LFC.

22 Aug 2018 16:03:27
Some of you guys talk as if they expect a goalie to never make a mistake. Every player in every game makes mistakes (even Messi) . Its just that's its more obvious when its the goalie. So Karius stuffed up - hardly calls for the level of abuse he has copped. And nor does it mean he isn't good enough. Its how he responds that indicates whether he should be kept or not.

Wish him all the best, the threats he received were bang out of order but we have our fair share of bell end supporters
Iā€™m sure he can still have a very good career.
All you guys saying he got us to the champions league final are only slightly right. he was in goal for the games. he made some saves, as would many many keepers but he hardly showed us he was world class, we got to the final due to out scoring those in our way.

Hello Redmen,

Sorry there was no loan update last week, I was Globe trotting. I wanted to go with ED2 but instead I was stuck with my wife.

Anyways I am back now, I hope you didn't miss me to much.

Danny Ings made his first start for his boyhood club Southampton and with his first start came his first goal.
Unfortunately Saints lost 2-1 to the bitter blues of Merseyside but I think we all agree its good to see Ings fit and firing.

Awoniyi is finally up and runnig with his first goal for Gent as they beat Jagiellnia 3-1 to reach the 4th round of qualifying for the europa.
Despite his lack of goals so far this season Awoniyi has started every game as the lone striker and has been a big contribution to the team.

Young left back Arroyo back with the Mallorca B team for the season opened his account for the club with his first senior goal.
His goal proved to be the difference as Mallorca B beat Poblense 1-0 in the season opener.

Wilson featured midweek for Derby as they beat Oldham 2-0 in the league cup.
Wilson got his first assist of the season as his pinpoint delivery was headed in for the opener.
Injury unfortunately ruled him out of the weekend defeat to Millwall.

Woodburn has waited for his first start for Sheffield Utd and he finally got it last week in the league cup. Unfortunately it was not a game to remember as United lost to Hull on penalties. Woodburn did however score his spotkick.
Things went from bad to worse for Woodburn who made his first league start on Saturday as Utd hosted Norwich.
A poor first half saw him substituted at half time. Utd went on to win 2-1.

Herbie Kane had an impressive game as Doncaster knocked Scunthorpe out the league cup last week.
Following his impressive midweek performance Kane kept his spot as Doncaster lost 1-0 to Burton at the weekend.

Shamal George started his first game for Tranmere in a 3-1 league cup loss to Blackburn. There was little he could do about the goals. George was back on the bench at the weekend.

Games are coming thick and fast for Ejaria and Kent at Rangers.
Ejaria started against Maribor in a Europa qualifier where a 0-0 draw saw them through to the 4th round. He also started the weekends 3-1 win over Hibs.
Kent came on as a sub against Maribor and played the full 90 against Hibs. It was his deflected corner that lead to the opening goal.
On a side note its good to see Gerrard make a good start to life as Rangers manager. Unbeaten in 9 and one round away from qualifying for the Europe league. Does anybody know the last time Rangers featured in Europe?

Lastly Bogdan featured as Hibs lost 3-0 to Molde and crashed out in a europa qualifier. To make matters worse he injured his hip in the game and missed the weekends action.

And that's your lot.

Only because they're my hometown team am I mentioning it, but it was Kilmarnock that Rangers played at the weekend, not Hibs.

I watched the game (and have watched a few of Rangers Europa games this season) . Kent is really fun to watch, very tricky, but at least 50% of the time at the weekend he lost the ball without doing anything with it. Definitely a good winger there, but needs to make better decisions.

Ejaria has looked good going forward for Rangers in the games that i've seen, but seems a little positionally naive, and doesn't contribute a lot defensively.

Steven Gerrard has had a really solid start, although they haven't really beaten anyone they shouldn't have beaten anyway. He's built a decent squad for a title challenge, but a lot of questions will be answered when they play Celtic next month.

Thanks very much.

{Ed001's Note - possibly, but Migs' reps are still trying to get him a move.}

Is there a possibility that they could both leave and we have the youngsters as back up.
