Hi eds, reading that Celtic have accepted bid for Ki from swansea.....there were rumours that he was being looked at by LFC.....he would have been a good alternative for sahin.....any chance we could hijack their move.....

YNWA {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware we have shown no interest.}

I wish we could too

Expect Carroll, Cole and Spearing to be sold befor the transfer window closes.

What are we gonna do with 2.50?

'expect' or 'pray for'?

I wouldn't get rid of Carroll unless we are going to reinvest the funds in this window. And seeing as though any buy now would probably be a rushed one, I'd just keep Carroll. We've left it too late, business should have been done over a month ago.

Thats ok saying that but the club isnt leaving alot of time to get players in is it?

Dempsey and Wanyama will be coming in.

First game of season and he's grabbing the back of his thigh, high wages, injury prone, sometimes lets his fitness drop.....seriously, who is gonna take Joe Cole?

Brooksey1973

Might as well Keep AC for a year, unless we get a big name as a replacement!

Cole & Spearing YES,... Caroll no!!!

... and Adam, Please.

I would keep carroll now unless they have someone decent in mind...
we've already lost our best striker bellamy, not to mention kuyt

borini?? hmmm

Well they can't be sold after the transfer window closes now can they Sherlock? Thats how it works!

Carroll? No. Why do we sell him when he just begin to shine?

Cole? No. He just got himself injured. Don't think any club will want to buy an injured player.

Spearing? I hope he will go.

Who on earth is going to buy a crock who is on 90K a week. Don't be stupid.

Skrtle signs new contract. Expect another striker to come in before the end of the transfer window

2 as Carrol will be sold to Spurs

Hi eds,

Was reading a post further down the page and you say interest in Dempsey has faded do you know of any reason why was it the transfer fee?

Thanks,

Red raj {Ed006's Note - I think Fulham tried to make us pay over the odds for him.}

Given our records with last summer's signings, I'm not surprised.

What market value! :-)

We'll sign him soon am sure if Fulham accept the next offer...
Skurks

We have to sign dempsey i know hes another midfielder but hes a proven goal scorer
avoorochie

Hi ed,could u clarify for me what over the odds is for dempsey,cause i cant put a price on last years tally of goals he got 23,and if he got similar for us this year which i have no doubt he would,what price could u put on that how much would we get for getting in to champs lge,ed cause i think with them goals thats where we would be,get this lad for the 10mil r whatever it is its a pittance.ray

At this time Dempsey at £8m looks a good option...knows the epl, strong aggressive player who can score goals

Why can't he buy his contract out?

Thank god he is rubbishe

Every team tries to make us pay over the odds for players, just look at Carroll downing Henderson. they think we are mugs, i think we are to for paying it. OK they are English. but we all know the English arnt very technical players. David Silva didn't cost to much more than downing, and don't say we didn't have champs league to offer, neither did they at the time.

Rodgers seriously looking at Adebayor on a season long loan, with City willing to subsidise his wages.

No he is not ideal, with his attitude and temperament questionable however one thing he will do is score goals, and it's something we are lacking right now. He is hitting his peak at the age of 28, Borini is too young to start every game. {Ed002's Note - I would be very surprised.}

As much as I don't really like the player it makes sense.

That would be a great move someone who knows how to finish most of his chances and also get to stick 1 to the cocky spurs fans.Tommy Irish Red

So untrue, he will go last minute to Spurs

Why would we buy him when we already have big andy. Surley if andy cant play in the tikka taka way then how is he gonna fit in. They play the same style and i for one think andy is alot better.

Gezza1982

What is the the point of pushing out one big centre forward like Carroll and bringing another player of the same type like adeybyour who's older doesn't make sense

How can you say borini is to young to start every game?? fowler, owen..........pretty sure they were both playing week in week out at 17 or 18 or don't you remember that far back!

Adebayor plays nothing like Carroll, he has pace and skill on the deck. As for temperament, I think he is a class act on pitch and a proper good lad off it. Only problems he has had are created from the clubs he has played for. Look at anelka and how as Liverpool fans we loved him while he was at afield and he is still popular despite opting for chelski. I think adebayor would be same. Tho I don't believe he will with us next year. Or ever.

Because Adebayor is great on the deck!

AZ

Would be a great signing.. if only to help get the Borini settled in & help Suarez out & maybe guide Caroll along...

Adebayor , good news if true . IMO

McGurk

Andy is a lot better than Adebayor? That has to be the funniest thing I've ever read. Adebayor is 10times the player Carroll will ever be. I'll be happy if Adebayor comes.

THE SUMON VAI

This would be a good move, he would easily be the best finisher in the team and may not be as strong, but he is quicker, has more technique, better finishing, better movement and passing.

Also once he has done what he needs for us this year (hopefully top 4). he can go back to City.

But in reality its not going to happen as Spurs need a striker more then us..

21 Aug 2012 10:26:52
I really think this is a signing that we desperately need! Our transfer activity has not been good for whatever reason, Macca's rumours sounded very exciting but a lot seem to have fallen through. Borini and Allen will come good but that is not enough to get us back in or near the top 4. Dgb79

20 Aug 2012 16:32:27
Is there any news on ricky van wolfswinkel? {Ed002's Note - Nothing of note to Liverpool.}

Class striker and good finisher, pacey too. would prefer susaeta or llorente personally but rvw would improve us. C'mon, he is better than cole at least and we have no out and out striker in the reserves... morgan is way out of his depth at this level NOW. Pachecho, sterling, suso and adjoran are not out and out strikers imo

20 Aug 2012 13:38:54
Eds heard we spoke to christian eriksen agent and team, deal will be done soon. Jay {Ed002's Note - I wouldn't hold your breath.}

I'll eat my arm if this is true. Pics to follow!

I don't really rate him as highly as others anyway.

Certainly not for more than 60 seconds anyway.

Absolute truffle

I wish lol but like Ed said don't hold your breath...
Skurks

Haha this is liverpool we're talking about... we only buy mediocre British players for inflated fees

Yes he will be our target then one if the north london clubs will sign him. We are a joke in the transfer market.

Dear Mr. Inflated Fees,
You are correct, sir. This window I recall us having signed
1) Oussama Assaidi (a very mediocre, at best, British player from Halifax. Look him up on the Youtube.) - approx 3m.
2) Fabio Borini (some old garbage from the outskirts of Cheltenham without potential whatsoever) - approx 10.5m
3) Some random british dudes like Skrtel and Suarez (not instrumental in any way last season) signed new contracts.
4) And of course, the Joe Allen figure. Sure, he looked like a world beater last season, and he tore us apart, and was our MOM the first game this season, but just a fluke for sure.

Sod off and support your own team.

To the dick above can't you read... i said "we" hence liverpool fan. person

What a cocky git with the reponse entitled dear mr inflated fees. what the hel kind of response was that you fool? clearly not every player is inflated fee or british, however.. downing, carrol, henderson, adam, allen.. need more be said? the fees on those 5 players alone could actually have bought a premiership club, such as swansea, with allen included in the package. this clearly illustrates a massive error in judgement by whoever sanctions these prices!

20 Aug 2012 13:09:11
hi ed do you know any news on the sturrige rumours it sounded like a done deal a few weeks ago but has gone all quiet now

thanks {Ed002's Note - A "done deal"? Liverpool has not approached Chelsea about Sturridge.}

Liverpool did approach Chelsea for Sturridge, but RDM didnt want to sell. Sturridge himself said it. {Ed002's Note - Simply not true. Twitter perhaps.}

Come on ed, you know the done deal not to join

Chelski only have Torres as striker at the moment and Sturridge always wants a role closer to central. So, I think, there is no chance of Sturridge will leave the Bridge.

Thanks ed for the update only used the word done deal as the rumours were quite strong

Apparently man city are prepared to offer £25 million for agger...I never wanted him to leave before but £25 million is a lot of money, yes he is our best defender but with that sort of money we could buy a world class striker...

While leaving a massive hole in our defence. Yeah, good thinking mate.

Why would a world class striker come to us. If he's that good surely he would go to a team in the CL. What do you want another Aquilani situation ie he comes here just for the cash but couldn't really give a **** about playing for us??

No, we need agger, he's vital...if we had that money would we really buy a world class striker?

But where would that leave us i denfence? Carra aint good enough any more, and coates aint ready IMO

If we can buy a world class striker for £25 million why did we spend £35 million on Carroll?

£25 million is not enough. They would need to up that bid.

World class striker? with 25 mill we would probably buy that 17 year old lad who made his debut for Southampton the other day, or some other english kid with a about 5 decent performances under his belt

Is Sakho available after thiago silva going to psg eds? Would be class replacement for Agger if he goes. {Ed002's Note - Arsenal and Lyon have sustained interest in Sakho and there is growing interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan and possible interest lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. PSG are not keen on selling and he seems keen to stay.}

...and leave the defending to Carra?

AG

I don't know about that, we tried before with £35million and it didn't get us much.

-Shane.

World Class strikers prefer to play in Champions League and after last saturdays performance I think we would be better off holding on to our best defenders! Liverpool needed to poach a proven premier league goal scorer eg; Defoe, Bent, Adebayor yet this hasn't happened and I'm baffled because owners as well as management knew only too rightly that it was our missed chances in front of goal which cost us badly last season!

And lose our best defender !

Maybe Wilson and Coates should be given the chance to step up. Surely even LFC who like to pay over the odds for players should be able to buy someone to replace for £10mil and use the other £15mil to buy a striker. Everton bought Mirelles for £5mil, 25 goals in 30 games. There are players out there....

Am I the only person worried that the first choice centre back for one of the worlds best international sides doesn't seem to be ready for a mid table premier league side?

He is not our best defender. He had a shocker of a game against west brom. Him and skrtel together couldn't even handle an amateur mid-table striker.

"He is not our best defender. He had a shocker of a game against west brom. Him and skrtel together couldn't even handle an amateur mid-table striker."

Heskey got a hattrick once....I wouldn't define our players on one game, mate.

The owners will sell if the right offer comes in, I'm sure the little quality we have they would be more than happy to cash in on as and when the big offers come in, it's a business to them remember.

Even if we did get £25M for Agger there is no certainty that the money would be spent on a quality replacement. Further to this, whom could we attract at such a late stage of the transfer window? Mediocre money grabbing Tw**ts! Panic buying springs to mind....and look what the last £35M got us!

The comment about the owners.

I believe they do have a long-term goal in mind: Make the club successful and sell it for a profit. They wouldn't risk their reputation in Sports Management just for short-term profits. Unless they really hate money and Liverpool Football Club to the point that they prefer to use the money to ruin LFC than throwing the monies into the sea.

Van Persie was £24 million, he's world class. Wouldn't come near us though as he knows we don't win anything.

No, with the money from Agger, we wouldnt by a top class striker. We'd be forced to pay inflated over the odds prices for some overrated nomark who isnt good enough to wear the shirt. Plus we would still have to buy a replacement defender for Agger, an area which I believe we are desperately short in cover for quality and ability anyway. And again, pay over inflated prices for someone not as good as Agger. No, we should keep Agger and tell citeh to stuff their money and begin to show we dont sell our best players instead of looking so bloody desperate. Different with the likes of Torres, he wanted out, Agger is quality and wants to stay.

Could buy a world class striker but lose a world class defender who loves the club.
I know what I would do on the situation..
Skurks

I think Coates is ready to step up in Agger's shoes already with Flanagan and Wilson as backup players. We should buy a defender at about 7 mil and the rest should go to either a top winger or a top striker. Its a very good deal. 25 mil for an injury prone player even if he is class. {Ed023's Note - Flanagan is a right back}

Sell Agger and ship 3 goals every match.

Even if we buy another forward Suarez is gonna start every game as the main striker which means the new striker will be on the bench,Rodgers tactics mean he will never play 2 up top from the start,if we were to sign another striker I'd love cisse from Newcastle he's a lethal finisher

Never mind a striker, for £25 million we could buy a world class defender

Oh wait...............

We spent 35 million on what has proven to be a Championship player!

I don't really mean that in time Andy may come good, but we don't have that luxury I'm afraid...

Black Red

And lose a world class defender !!

25M plus another 10 = Carrol. Money doesn't have to be big to buy world class

You say

"with that sort of money we could buy a world class striker..."

When are us liverpool fans going to realise that we are unable to attract "World class" strikers anymore.

Only reason he was 'only' £24m was that he was in the last year of his contract and wouldn sign another.

So why didn we go for him then?

Thats right, why would he come to a mid table club that is in decline.

Face facts, thats all we are now.

Hey Eds,

What about Witsel from Benfica, has always looked good when seen him play. Have we ever shown interest? {Ed002's Note - Witsel will not be moving to Liverpool.}

Witsel will go to Real Madrid.
RedAnt

Actually he will go to Man United if you believe rumours.

20 Aug 2012 12:23:25
Hi Edds have we missed out on sahin then as the mirror report

Leebo85 {Ed002's Note - I would think him unlikely right now. We should hear from Fazeli later today.}

Ed' who's fazeli? {Ed002's Note - Sahin's agent.}

According to William balague, Alonso has convinced Sahin to join liverpool. It's now a case of sorting out the deal. He also say's that Tello is a distinct possibility.

20 Aug 2012 10:30:05
Hey there edd 002 you have previously said that lisandro Lopez would be available. Do you think there is interest. Would be great signing {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest at this time.}

20 Aug 2012 10:25:30
The Sunday Times reported yeasterday that Spurs want to offload Aaron Lennon. If this is true, could he provide the injection of pace that we need and could he be used as part of a deal for Carroll to go the other way?

Learpholl {Ed002's Note - A decent thought.}

Sounds good, but lennon gets a lot of injuries

Yes much better than walcot..
he is a speedometer...excellent pace....

Would Lennon fit into the system we are playing? Generally he plays as and out and out winger

Injuries and end product missing too + he isn't going to weigh in with his share of goals either.

I would have him at Liverpool any day. Great player. Why AVB would want rid of him though i dont know. I would want Lennon plus 10mil for AC though. Jamie

Lennon can't shoot, his goal record is rubbish, he drifts in and out of games and is a one trick pony, I don't rate him at all, Theo Walcott is much better than Lennon, faster, better shot, good eye for goal, should be a striker not a right winger.

Are you serious
Lennon was the player with bale that slagged lfc and the city off for being a dump etc a while back he wouldn't come and IMO isnt welcome
Not good enough would rather have Walcott if we had the choice

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Lennon publicly confirm his hatred for Liverpool!?

I would rather have Walcott than Lennon but beggers can't be cfhoosers and if they are in a Liverpool shirt I will support them.

Couldn't be any worse than what we have at the minute and could well flourish under BR
Learpholl

Not as good as Assaidi. I don't think he would help us much

Lennon is not as good as Walcott and is a bit more of a knob also

gareth

Surely another wide player would be superfluous. it is a goalscorer we need!

As above - Lennon hates Liverpool. Which was publicly stated! Unfortunate, as I think he's a good winger, but he seems like an arse hole of a person in all honesty, and I can't see him coming anyway. 20m cash for Carroll from Spurs, up front ... would be ideal. Might spark a bidding war off with Newcastle though so I can see it going to deadline day!

All this talk of Carroll going is driving me nuts. Why do Newcastle and Spurs fancy him if he's so bad? We should stop being so idealistic and concentrate on just getting the ball in the bloody net - start boosting big Andy up and he'll find his groove again. The other clubs know this and it's about time we got behind him.

As for Carroll, get rid of him, he'll never be prolific as a goal scorer, he'll blow hot and cold through his entire career. Remember up until the last month of last season Andy was rubbish. He's over rated and over hyped I'd rather have Darren Bent and Jermaine Defoe at least they are proven goal scorers who've scored plenty of goals for several seasons and then I'd look at promoting Adam Morgan over the next 12 months to the team. We need goal scorers like Fowler and Rush not some over hyped Geordie who can't wait to go back home. Truth is Andy Carroll looks better as a central defender than he does a striker.

Raheem sterling reminds me alot of aaron lennon

Quality signing if we get him, doubt it thought, to all the people saying we have assaldi, but its about strength in depth, think about this for wingers lennon, johnson, assaldi, downing, much better than maxi and kuyt was never a winger... EVER!

Welshtrix

The gent who called AC an over hyped Geordie needs to look at who over hyped him,LFC valued him at £35M.Last year you constantly baited NUFC saying we can buy who we like off you,well you did you got Enrique and it looks like he is another overhyped geordie judging from the comments.Could it be that there is something going wrong in the heart of LFC look at your wantaways Alonso,Torres
Macerano,all great players who would never have left this once great club,but clearly the smell of decay was to much for them.

20 Aug 2012 10:13:03
Hi Eds, a website were reporting this morning about Kaka going on loan to Man United, u rekon we got any chance of intervening what with Mourinho and Rodgers relationship? {Ed002's Note - It was a Twitter rumour started by WonderDogSparky. I expect Kaka to head to SoCal at a convenient time.}

LA Galaxy, could they afford him? {Ed002's Note - Sure - Beckham would be being replaced.}

20 Aug 2012 09:34:34
From earlier today:

20 Aug 2012 08:28:41
Falcao, pato, damiao, cavani or higuain badly needed at lfc any possible? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Ed, this list was particularly optimistic by a poster who obviously plays FIFA
I'd like to suggest some strikers who I think are more realistic (realistic assuming we can afford them) and ask you the same question, any possible?
M.Suarez, Huntellar, Llorente, Guidetti, Lewandowski
Or we give Morgan a try which I wouldn't mind doing but don't think will happen

Chris in Tamworth

{Ed002's Note - I'll take a shot Chris: Suarez - No, probably out until November after an operation which will likely take place on Wednesday; Huntelaar - Schalke would likely sell if he refuses to agree any contract extension begore August 25, with Zenit and a couple of Italian sides interested - he wants a year the club want two; Fernando Llorente is interesting Juventus, Spurs, Cheslea and Manchester City with rumours of interest from Arsenal as well. There is a very good chance that he will move this summer and talks are continuing with Juventus. Guidetti has offers from Siena and interest from Sunderland, Palermo and Feyenoord - seems unlikely without interest; Lewandowski - there has been a lot of interest in the player but Dortmund and the player have been unable to reach agreement over a new contract - but I suspect that they will.

I did mention a couple of players yesterday who may well be affordable and available if money can be raised from sales and, critically, if the interest is there from Liverpool.}

Chris you say that poster is optamistic but then you list Llorente and Lewondowski as potential targets?
TT

From that list id have to say lewandowski, top finisher a d prob not cost mega money.

What about adding Darren Bent, Roberto Soldado, David Villa to it. Even the guy Rhodes from Huddersfield.., all proven goal scorers, taking into account level.

After watching the game, I'm not disappointed at our play as as it seems we were pretty much on top with Luis having 3-4 great chances, of which we could realistically have been 2-0 up.

The1st goal was a screamer, no ones stopping that.
Even in the 2nd half, after agger got sent off we still had chances (luis 2 again) should have been at least one
goal. WBA just hit us on the break 2-3 times and scored.
So its not all doom an gloom as we were trying to get back into it.

For me it's simple...play Borini up front and luis LWF or buy an out an out goal getter, like the ones mentioned.
But it's clear, as last season that this is what is needed

Sinner21

Who where those players you suggested Ed002 sorry I can't find the post

RedsMatt {Ed002's Note - The players were Lisandro Lopez and Negredo.}

Lewondowski would easily cost 18-20 mill...
TT

TT, I did point out that they would only be possibilties IF we had the money

Chris in Tamworth

18-20 million is a reasonable pricefor aproven cf

Starting to get concerned that we are getting too far left behind. All well an good saying we aren't the club we were to attract players not offering champions league and all the other reasons, we're man city in champions league when they started to bring in top quality players? No they got there by investing and paying what it took to get there, what are the chances they won't finish in the top 4, Chelsea in serious trouble when abramovich took over, they spent what it took and paid what they had to to get back into the top 4, how many times have they finished out of Europe? Man u guarenteed top 4, they pay the wages to get the players, 1 place left too many clubs playing for it for us to have a serious chance, it's about time FSG asmitted they have bitten off more than they can chew, they aren't going to pay what it takes to get back in the top 4 year in year out. Don't gets wrong I appreciate what they have done for us, but unless we pay the wages to attract the players like the other top clubs do we are not going to get back into the top 4, are we even going to be able to keep our amazing youth players if they get their heads turned by better wages? Football changed, it is about the money for these lads it's their job, we need to pay the money needed to earn a top 4 place to earn the prize money too be forward. I love Liverpool have for over 30 years our history is legend to have a future we need investment in players like these.

Probably best to go for grant holt or kevin davies these are the type of players lfc attract nowadays none of the above players would leave clubs challenging for honours to become premiership also rans think the fans need to wake up and realise

It takes liverpool 3 months to sign a single player doubt it'll happen

Dempsey and a good striker would be makings of a great season
avoorochie

Sinner21 i agree, we was on top of WBA before they scored,wonder/lucky goal. Game was over for us on Aggers sending off. They only scored goals on our mistakes not through out playing us. Also Dowd made sure with the amount of cards dished to us but none until the end for them. I'm quite sure we will see a different side against Man City.

I would put Sterling in place of Downing,luis on the wing with Borini and AC up front
Lee73

20 Aug 2012 03:44:53
Hey eds, any interest in Kevin Strootman from LFC? And roughly how much would he cost? I think he'd be a terrific buy. Cheers {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at KevinStrootman earlier in the season but tentative enquiries were met by a reluctance to sell so soon after arriving. His recent performances have attracted further interest from AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Hamburg but it is Valencia and, in particular, AC Milan who are doing their best to persuade PSV to sell.}

20 Aug 2012 01:17:35
Ed001 or Ed002, Is it true that we are going after Isco from Malaga after missing out Sahin. {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

20 Aug 2012 02:11:15
Liverpool and Sunderland favorites to sign Adam Johnson. Liverpool can get Johnson for a lesser fee than Dempsey and deal may occur after the two clubs meet.

Liverpool enquired 2 days ago but only wanted a loan.

Johnson and Dempsey are not like-for-like players at all. If rumours of £10mil for Johnson are true from SUFC, Dempsey would be much cheaper anyway..

Doesnt compare with Dempsey two different style of players

20 Aug 2012 00:14:13
Liverpool have accepted a season long loan offer{with a £3m option to buy} for Jay Spearing from Bolton, all thats left is for Spearing to agree personal terms and pass a medical. Charlie Adam has today stated that he is happy to stay at Liverpool but Rodgers would prefer to move him on and with Stoke,Fulham and Everton interested I can see him leaving Anfield for around £5m. Joe Cole will be staying at Liverpool, Rodgers would prefer to get him off the wage bill to make room for new players but no clubs are showing any interest at the present time. Liverpool have lost out to Arsenal is the race for the loan signature of Nuri Sahin who will replace the Barcelona bound Alex Song. Liverpool's back up plan for Ibrahim Affelay was Oussama Assaidi and they are going to have to use plan b again after failing to secure Nuri Sahin. Liverpool will make an initial bid of around £5m for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama. P.S. Liverpool have completely lost interest in Dempsey but are planning one big move before the window closes while they are still trying to get what they consider value, Ramirez or Walcott will sign for between £12-16m more likely Ramirez.

Why did you waste your time writing this nonsense lad.

Liverpool will not loan Spearing. Cash only deal. Trust me, teams are offering cash up front, no way he will go to Bolton on loan. JD.

If this is true I only have one question, what is our obsession with midfielders we need a striker ASAP otherwise it will be more of what we saw last season and what we have allready seen this season!

What personal terms? Its a loan.

RedNorway - pronin

Adam is going to be a problem for Liverpool as he would quite happily sit on his arse and collect his wages. Carroll will do the same unless Liverpool accept a low offer from Newcastle. Carroll and Newcastle seem to have Liverpool in a difficult position which I am sure will end in them getting Carroll for as little as £12m-£15m come August 31st. I am not sure Spearing could raise £3m, perhaps a little bit of wishful thinking there. The only thing holding the Dempsey deal up is that Liverpool are struggling to offload players to free up some cash and more importantly lower the wage bill. With Agger looking like staying much to BR disappointment, Joe Cole's injury so unable to offload and BR begging the Liverpool board to keep Suarez there is little funds available for new signings, hence the signing of Assaidi instead of a more expensive and more established winger like Affelay, Ramires, Johnson or Walcott. The club scrambling for loan deals is another indication that there is little money to spend. I have to say Kenny has put you back a couple of years and you were already some years from a CL spot.

Disney!

Erm, hasnt it been announced that Ramirez is signing (or signed) with Southampton...?

Ramirez likes southampton project walcott is pure tosh expect another pitiful signing like wes hoolahan of norwich

Ramirez is at southampton

This can all more than likely happen. Ramirez has not gone to southampton that deal has fallen through. Adam, Carroll, spearing and Pacheco are the players we are looking to offload. There is a plan b for the sahin deal fallen through but the priority has changed to a proven striker. Dempsey is being considered but as well all know he is a midfielder.

20 Aug 2012 00:06:09
Ed just heard Liverpool Fc have told Adam & cole that they can leave. Is it true ? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Adam has been told he can leave, Cole has not.

Who exactly would take Cole on?! two matches and two injuries! Hes a new Owen!

Thank god. Bless rodgers.

Jovetic is an option that we are planning a move for as Carrolls replacement. I'm also hearing that we are considering a move for Müller after enquiring earlier in the summer. I'm pretty unconvinced about that though.

Hey eds, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel would be a cheap buy, he's a poacher, finishes well...do you know any news of him being linked, all I know is that we were linked with him a while back. Thanks eds. {Ed001's Note - not since Hodgson was in charge no, he is not very good and I doubt we would have any interest in him at all.}

You'd have to be very strong to carry that waste of space around

As a newcastle fan the relief of reading your amended post was immense!

EdS please post on main page,,,,,

lfc fans i am not in the know, i am as optomistic as you all, but pleas get a grip, there is no need to keep asking Eds if Sahin coming,

he will make a choice on where he thinks will improve him as a player, playing at the highest level,

players like him crave champions league,

that is us out,,,,, that is all.

Gutted gutted gutted gutted gutted! what a way to start a season when there was such a positive feeling too! im just glad it was mr clarkes team and not the mancs, spuds or chelski. ive just flown back from oz via detroit and was speaking to some lads about lfc only to flick sky record on and witness that! man all i can say is we need a stiker fast! anyway on the way back, i was told that dempsey is a done deal but fulham are holding out just incase someone else may bid so i guess that might go till the last day. plus, we have enquired for johnson and walcott will be bid for once sahin joins arsenal. thats all we are going for for now! this is what i was told on the plane by a fan returning home and he had read it in a lfc boston mag! personally i like the sound of it as it looks like we could do with them but hey, we aint seen assaidi play yet. finger crossed for this weeks two games!

after sahin snub liverpool will turn their interest to isco from malaga

M-H

That what I wonder, its reported that he would be available for around 8 million given their financial trouble and he would be an excellent winger, love to have him

£16 million buy out clause. Malaga may drop to £8 million due to their problems

He would be cheap and an excellent buy
