Pierre hojbjerg being mentioned on the net now wanting to work with klopp. one i hope is true but i'm sure has no substance. Anything Eds? Have we ever watched this young lad? Danes have always been good at anfield.

You can't judge anyone on YouTube, but you can better judge a central midfielder than attacking player in my opinion, and Hjojberg looks like he is physical, has a great touch and is a good set-piece taker, so would fit in our midfield nicely.

He is a technical good player, but not sure if he is ready for PL. But if we had the option I would take him. Having Him and Can bossing the midfield over the next 8 years would be tops.

BBC Gossip linking Pepe Reina with a return.

Surely not. was past his best when he left and we have just signed a keeper.

Interesting link. His distribution is definitely right up Klopp's street, but he did have a couple of error strewn seasons before he left. At only 33, he's still young for a keeper.
My view is this would only be credible if Migs was on his way out. Leaving Karius and Reina to fight it out for a starting position - probably Pepe to start off with - and then Ward to come back after a year long loan.
I think it could be a very shrewd move with an experienced, generally reliable keeper who plays to the strengths of the team, with Karius then learning and adapting as heir to the jersey.
Wouldnt be too upset if that transpires, but having Migs, Reina, and Karius, as well as Ward on loan, would be crazy!

Just wondering, if the above does transpire, and Reina comes in and Migs leaves, has there ever been a situation where a player has been bought to replace someone else, who leaves, and then comes back to replace the replacement?!
Only one I can think of is Rushie and Aldo, albeit Aldo stayed for a bit longer and overlapped with a returning Rushie for a season.
Any others? Any clubs.

Only one I can think of is Lukaku at Chelsea who came as 'the new Drogba'. Then he left and Drogba came back.

If you follow the BBC link to the star article (which itself was a rehash of an old foreign article) you see it was clearly written before we signed Karius but only just published. Bizarre.

I would love him back at the club, rogers made a boo boo letting him leave IMO. A great back up option who could genuinely push for No.1 spot.

Wrong, Von. I wanted BR gone but giving Reina the boot was one of the best decisions he ver made. The man was aweful for two years prior yet was taking the mick out of us boys saying he would either leave or stay while winking at Barcelona to come for him. If another player did that, you'd be on to of him like rash but because its Pepe, you give him a pass. He is old and no longer wanted here. Karius is the future, end of.

Pepe seemed to lose his desire IMO, a bit like Enrique but not as marked.

The Italian media seems to think we have signed Samuel Bastien from Anderlecht for between 4.6 million and 6 million, do you know anything about this E. D?
At first I thought it was lazy journalism, a writer trying to trick people into reading his story, but the player isn't someone who would bring in views. He is a relative unknown, at least to me, and I can't recall ever seeing his name being linked with us before.
Bastien, if he signs, would clearly be one for the future as, according to the same article, he wouls be loaned out immediately after joining us. Ala Divock Origi.
Anyway, wondering if you are aware of this or even know the player because I know absolutely nothing about him. Best wishes to all of you and I hope you have a restful few weeks before the transfer window finally opens :D.

Labled the 2nd De Bryne no less. I guess this is the way now, rather then the next (insert former worldy here), it's now 'the second coming'.
Anyway, seems this could be an 'under radar' CAM over both Coric and Gotze. At 19/ 20 he can hardly be 'one for the future' looking at the age of some first team players.
This is Klopps way right? Sign young unknown players from lower sides or leagues and then create. We might see Gotze etc as 'a smokescreen', when in actual fact it's Bastian, Chilwell, Karius and a like.
I've highlighted most football clichés, but feel free to add more :)
