Liverpool are front runners for Kovacic. Roma would be unwilling to match the asking fee set by Real.

Martin Skrtel at the Slovakian press conference earlier today, when asked about his future " I am fully focused on the Euros and will have a look at the other stuff after. I will keep you guys informed,
there is nothing decided on my future" as for the Kovačić rumours, Liverpool ‪have not been in touch with Real about him and although Roma are favourites to sign him, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are, sorry Harry you can blame Twitter if you want ‬.

We don't want him and are not interested, Harry. What part of that is hard to understand?

Kovacic and Can with Grujic behind could make a formidable central trio in a couple of years.

Redohio

Spending €15 mill on Zielinski who wouldn't even start ahead of Can or Hendo is a very poor business to me. Kovacic would challenge Hendo / Can and is a completely different player to either. We need a 3rd quality midfielder in case one of Hendo / Can is out injured ( Hendo is carrying an injury which cannot be cured ) .

Harry, I'm not in favor of Zeilinski and the fact that you have continued to try to force Kovacic down our throats on this forum for over a year now, just shows that you are the only one who wants this fellow, one who I watched at RM last year and I was not impressed with him at all. Let it go, we don't want him and he isn't coming here because if he rejected us last season after we acted like fools with Inter, why would he want us now over Roma who have CL football next season?

Apparently Skrtle has agreed a three year deal with Roma. If true good luck to him.

Thought they liked a good defender over in Italy? ;-)

A little fed up with the stick people give Skrtle. For all his mistakes there were countless games he sealed for us.

His heart was always with us and he didn't bitch and moan like a lot of so called "top players" some of you seem to want to bring here.

I agree Gareth. Some people just like to run with the narrative given here. I don't here him slated outside of this site.

Come on fellas, he disappears everytime there's a physical striker in the vicinity. Don't you recall that game against Oldham a few years ago when he was made to look a right muppet by a striker who hadn't scored for 2 years? Or any game against Villa where Benteke played against us? And what about constantly manhandling players rather than trying to get the ball?

Thanks for the service of course but time to move on!

He was shocking. He flattered because he looked physical but he fouled constantly. Always dragged out of position. Slow to react and was invisible during set pieces.
