Eds any truth in Coady joining sheff utd on loan and Reina to Napoli {Ed001's Note - yes, they are in talks and not that I am aware of, I heard Cesar was nearly done.}
Believable19
Unbelievable3
If Liverpool are loaning Coady does that mean they'll be looking at signing a dm as cover for Lucas? Or maybe Spearing is going to be staying another year, I like the lad but don't think he's cut out for Liverpool (Spearing that is)

Evening Ed just wondered if there had been any movement by anyone for Inan? I haven't heard anything about him since the window opened {Ed002's Note - Metalist Kharkiv are the only side to have made any significant effort although there might still be interest in Spain. I think he may well stay.}
Believable2

Thanks Ed looks to me as though Brendan doesn't know who he wants
Agree1
Disagree7
Probably does know what he wants. Should treat paper talk as speculation, I don't think Liverpool is easy to get information out anymore so papers are making up rumours and its obviously getting fans believing whatever they write.
Agree2
Disagree0
I disagree. BR will have clear targets, watched throughout last season by his scouts. A lot can change in that time & what was once a target, due to a drop in form for example, interest can wane.
Posters on this site can be v negative at times, with unfair criticism. Coutinho & sturridge were great buys, mignolet was one of the best keepers in EPL last season, whilst many Spanish based commentators think Aspas is a very shrewd buy, backed by fowler & rush.
So get off BRs back, he is moving us in the right direction. Brace yourself because things own happen overnight, so patience is needed, as we improve bit by bit, remember we r not bankrolled like other clubs.
Jimbob
Agree12

Well, it looks like he wanted Aspas, Toure, Alberto, and Mignolet. All likely in the game day 18 and 3 likely in the starting 11. How many new players do we need?
Agree0

I'm happy with the signings so far and I'm not getting on anyone's back I just think he's not sure which way to turn in terms of a CM player. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he didn't go for one now

Hi eds, just wondering are we still interested in getting douglas from fc twente on a free? It seemed like a good deal to me. {Ed002's Note - Dinamo Moscow Reading, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Rubin Kazan and Ajax have all shown interest in Twente's Douglas in the recent past but Inter would have liked to take him for defensive cover whilst Spurs were considering if he would be suitable as a replacement for Gallas as an alternative to Alderweireld. Interest of Liverpool would have been of no surprise but there was none. I expect a move to Dinamo Moscow will be confirmed later this week.}

This might sound silly.But Ed do you think Liverpool has looked at Alen Stevanovic of Palermo?I know LFC can't sign everyone out there. :P Reply much appreciated. {Ed002's Note - He moved to Palermo last week - and only on loan. He won't even have played for them yet. Asking questions about players you find on fantasy football games is simply a waste of my time. Don't do it anymore please.}

Ed(s), Do you see Lorenzo Insigne as important to Napoli's plans seeing as they have signed a couple winger/forwards and are looking to replace Cavani with a couple more?
His movement, speed and agility is amazing. Great centre of gravity, bit like a young Suarez.
Just asking if he may be up for sale, not necessarily to Liverpool because we obviously haven't shown interest but could, you never know.

Right, I have heard something today which may prove a bit controversial on this site.
Don't shoot the messenger but in have been told it is likely Borini will return to series a this summer
There is clear interest from one club and possibly interest from a few other teams too.
I have no information on the fee or when it'll happen exactly.
I feel for the lad, I do but if a bid comes in (which is expected) then there's a good chance he'll go.
Cheers eds and keep up the good work

Man I hope so! Bring in morata instead prolly be cheaper than what we paid for borini and twice the player!
Agree1

He is a decent player but he has struggled bad with injuries which is why he has fans questioning weather he is good enough to succeed at Liverpool, he looked good for Italy recently but I wouldn't be surprised if a decent offer of around £8M+ arrived from an Italian club for him then I feel we would seriously consider it and so would he himself.

Well Puzzled Red I like you am I bit puzzled by your initial responses, the amount of people bleating on about give him a chance he's great he'll be super and if an offer comes in they start to think truthfully that it may be best for both parties!
Agree1

Was injured fr the vast majority of last season so fans have automatically decided that he is pants. Very harsh, needs to be given a chance and extended spell in the team - he is not going to be a 30+ goals a season striker but if he can bang in 15 and gel well within the team were constructing then he'll be a good asset to have. Sadly a lot of fans seem intent on driving him out the club yet were the same bunch saying Carroll should stay and be given more time to prove himself. bizarre.
Agree3

At his age he should be playing regular first team football and he's nowhere near good enough to do that at Anfield. I think Ibe is a better option.
He won't be missed
Agree1

He's a 22 year old back up striker with good potential whose done nothing wrong at all- works hard, trains hard, and by all accounts is a good kid. Who else could we get that would be willing to play backup to Sturridge that would be better? I like Borini a lot and have no desire to see him leave.
Agree6

Well look at all these super fans that are prepared to give players a season. Probably the same fans that thought Henderson wouldn't improve.

No patience at all. Give him another season and if he injury free he might start to shine. I don't think anyone has seen the best of him yet.

Right well the fee which he might move for never even came into the equation but tbh I think something around £12m mark - and if borini thinks the move is right for him - then it'd probably but good for all parties at this present time.
Anyway let's hope he has an awesome pretty season starts scoring for fun and he stays with us for many years to come!

You can't say that Ed. All the Fifa players have them down as dead certs. So much so that on the teams page, unless you include Bernard Eriksen and Alderweireld, you will get 9 disagrees and 0 agrees, and be told your team will be relegated. On the contrary, include these 3 in your dream side, and you will have fan boys bleating about even winning the league.
I'm glad you've said this though Ed. Maybe everyone will start to be more realistic on that particular area of the site from now on. then again, it is the Liverpool site :/

Eds could you shed any light on weather or not this is true so we can all put it to bed as you have repeatedly told us that he won't be joining us.
Danish daily Ekstra Bladet are reporting that Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has agreed a four-year deal with Serie A giants AC Milan. Liverpool have been heavily linked with the highly-rated 21-year-old.
Source: tv {Ed002's Note - It is true that his representatives have spoken with Milan to agree a deal, but I don't know what the details are. At this time, Milan has yet to agree a fee with Ajax.}

It seems like they will need to sell before they could afford the fee. Do the eds know if boetang will be bought from them to raise funds? {Ed002's Note - Kevin Prince-Boateng is available but there seems to be little or no interest at this time. Milan have has no offers for him but will look to see if interest from Monaco remains at the €15M they desire - and even though the money will be used to bring in Eriksen, it does not mean that he needs to be sold first.}

Is Bruma an option? {Ed002's Note - There have been a number of offers and there is plenty of interest. There is a mess to sort out financially and UEFA are involved, but there is no interest from Liverpool. Bruma is one of the three players who Chelsea are targeting now and is a player that both Manchester City and Manchester United would also like to buy. Galatasaray have put a significant offer on the table but they are not the preferred choice. All of the interested sides would rather pay for his services rather than get involved in awaiting the outcome of any arbitration process.}

hi eds. do u still think skrtle will be sold? I watched him againts preston an he's very prone to mistakes and very slow (acceleration wise) wisdom looked in a differnt league to him. if he is sold do u think his money will be used for another CB or is rodgers happy with wisdom as cover. hopefully we can skip it and use the money for a DM because if lucas gets injured again we screwed! {Ed001's Note - I believe he is available for sale, but so far he is still here, mainly because we haven't secured a replacement and a number of clubs have been sniffing around Agger. While I think it unlikely Agger would want to leave, he loves Liverpool, I think he might find it difficult to turn down Barca if they do firm up their interest in him. Which would mean Skrtel stays for now.}
Believable10

I really hope agger turns barca down again, the man has shown true loyalty to the club. I wouldn't begrudge him moving on, but would be gutted to see it happen

Ed001,
So you do not see a situation where Liverpool could sell both Agger and Skrtel and find replacements for the two of them? {Ed001's Note - you can never rule that out, but it is unlikely and not what the club are planning to do. Well not in one go anyway.}

Eds,
-Is Arsenal's Cazorla available? If Arsenal really want Suarez, why not consider Cazorla + cash. I think he would do good in our squad. Is LFC has any interest in him?
-Last I heard we have interest in Bernard before Rodgers become manager. So now, does Rodgers still keeping track this Bernard? Looks classy to me in terms of skills, passing, goal scoring.
Thanks Eds.
Have a great day ahead. {Ed001's Note - no Cazorla is not available, it was just nonsense about Atletico, who rubbished the report themselves. We have kept track of Bernard, hence the recent rumours, but I don't know of any move made yet, just a watch on him.}
Believable6
Unbelievable14
We don't need cazorla, yes he is a good player, but so is Coutinho and Alberto plays the same role also. I may be a biased fan but I would take Coutinho any day of the week before Cazorla, mostly based on age and potential. Fingers crossed on some first team additions, would love shaqiri
Agree2
Disagree0
When you say, yet, it means you expect a move to be made later or just that a move hasn't done? {Ed001's Note - just that no move has been made at this time. I don't know of any plans to make a move for him, but things can often change in an instant, depending on other players rejecting moves etc. Just remember the January we bought Carroll, he was nowhere near first choice, Llorente was, but Carroll was the player we ended up with as he was all we could get then.}

Believable8
Unbelievable2
We haven't agreed a fee because we haven't sold or agreed a sale with anyone for our existing CBs. If teams stump up cash for Skrtel & Coates I'm sure we will bid.

eds do we have any interest in any leftbacks? also when we sell suarez, do u expect us to buy a replacement?
thanks {Ed001's Note - we were scouting left backs all last season, so we must be interested, it is just not the first priority obviously. I would expect that means Robinson will be given another chance to establish himself as Enrique's back up or even push him for his place. I expect us to buy an attacking player, not sure it could be considered a replacement for Suarez as such though.}
