Ed would Sergio Canales be available this summer? Great talent.

Jonesred {Ed002's Note - Canales missed most of the season with a crutiate injury but remains at Valencia. He is on a loan to buy deal and will not be moving to Liverpool next season. I suspect that the player has no interest in a move away from Spain as demonstrated by the previous interest of Manchester City and Arsenal being rejected.}

The guy was class at racing santander Was a real shame he could not get a game at Madrid and then the knee injury, he is definitely on for the future.

After studying his tatics, philosophy, the players he is interested in and those that would fit into his system, whilst making a clear difference but at the same time being realistic signings, I really think Rodgers will go for the following:

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)
Milos Krasic (RF)
Jordy Clasie (DM/CM)
Matías Suárez (ST/LF/RF)
Approx: £40m

Cheers JK {Ed028's Note - i say the two first players you said are most possible but who knows what the future has to bring}

Suarez just signed a new 4 yr deal

If he believed he had a chance to sign clasie when he was at Swansea, then we must have a chance. Although I do not believe he is a player that we need at the moment.

Krasic is awful...he isn't wanted by his club because he's rubbish- is that the type of player we go for now?

Can you post links and stuff to were you have studied rodgers? His philosophy, tactics and stuff would really love to read about him. Would be much appreciated.

Cheers, jack.

Higuain, kaka and villa doesn't seem to be wanted by their respective club. Does that mean they are rubbish?

Krasic isn't wanted because he doesn't fit the system juventus plays, but he is a good player. Not a world beater, but better than what we have now. Also at his price he is a bargain.

Does he use four strikers?

Higuain, Kaka and Villa? Surely you can't put Krasic in the same sentence! ...Villa was playing fairly consistently before his injury; Kaka and Higuain look amazing players when they do play, Krasic doesn't.

Sigurdsson yes
krasic yes
clasie no
suarez maybe

Yah breaking your leg would ake you lose favor on the team sheet. Higuain might not of started but he played alot and Kaka was not the same after his injury a couple years ago.

With rumours of Skrtel leaving (hopefully not). Whats the situation with Simon Kjaer. Loaned out from Wolfsburg to Roma are they looking to sell. Great young defender and a fellow Dane. Him and Agger look pretty decent for Denmark {Ed002's Note - Roma did not take up the option (by June 1 from memory) but the player is still hopeful a deal can be completed with them. He has made it clear that he will not return to Wolfsburg under the extant management.}

Agger and Kjaer.
I like it

I'd rather have Kelly and Agger or Coates and Agger.

Keith YNWA

This is the Danish defence that shipped five goals in three games? No thanks. Kjaer's problem is that he's too similar in style to Agger - someone like Skrtel, who has a big physical presence and is stronger in the air is a much better compliment. Kjaer is exactly the opposite of what we need.

I think we could get granero lot speculation last year an year b4 but think he will sighn for us type of player we need plays every posisition In midfield wot do u reckon ed do u think he is good enough {Ed002's Note - Granero is surplus to long-term requirements in Madrid and will likely leave the summer. Granero could interest any number of clubs and may be used as a makeweight in a transfer. Only solid interest at this time has been from Blackburn Rovers and Sevilla back in January but unsubstantiated rumours have linked him to Liverpool and Espanyol as well but there is no confirmation of either clubs interest.}

Yes, he is good enough.

Red7.

Hey eds,
What's the deal with Afellay now? I've used the search function but can't seem to find anything recent about him.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited but the kid is keen to stay and Barcelona seem keen to have him as a squad player. However, I think it is still possible that he will be available in the summer and that Barcelona would listen to offers. Italy looks like one option available to him if he is sold and there may be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle.}

After tonights performance barca can keep him

At 26, I dont think he should be called a kid anymore {Ed002's Note -I have children older than him - so I can call him a kid.}

Like the majority of Dutch players tonight he was very poor.
The words "barge" and "pole" spring to mind

Couldn't agree more he's been crap all 3 games and not as good as people seem to make out . I think to many play fm 2012!

Affelay did not do himself any favors in the Euro's. He didn't look that great to me so hopefully Liverpool does not even look at him.

He looks average to me

Rumour that Utd. are interested in Sigurdsson, could this be another ploy by Fergie to get Liverpool to pay more? Remeber Adam, 'He's worth 10 million just for his crosses' - yeah, sure Fergie. Shut up! {Ed016's Note - I think it's just media nonsense.}

I thought that sigurdson is a man u fan

Adam Only cost us around 7.5m the fee between liverpool and blackpool was undisclosed but the fee payed by blackpool to rangers for the 10% sell on fee was announced as 750,000 the maths speak for themselves

You could be on to somthing there mate it could well be a ploy from the purple one.

gee man

His crosses could still be worth 10m

Kaizer

17 Jun 2012 19:22:38
hey eds
do u think that Cristain Tello of Barcelona could end up at Anfield next season.
Thanks
Scousered {Ed002's Note - It is possible rather than likely.}

Really hope he and krasic come in. to think our most impact winger was actually babbel. he wasn't good at starting but he was a great super sub. never the less he would give MUCH needed competition for downing since Maxi might be gone. although maxi might think he might get more game time with BR because of the style he plays.

still i'd be pleased with

RW - Milos Krasic - 6m
LWF - Cristian Tello - 7m
AM - Gylfi Sigurdsson - 7m
LB - Henri Bedimo (lb cover) - 5m
ST - Soldado - 20m
CM - Raul Garcia (adam and spearing replacement)- 6.5m
CB - Dejan Lovren or Raul Albiol 6.5m
should cost around £60m

Aquilani - 2.5m
Kuyt - 1.5m
Maxi - 1m
Adam - 5m
Spearing -3m
Skrtel - 20m
33m

net spending of 27m to 30m

Not at chance

Hi eds, read today that sigurdsson is in talks with Liverpool but is this just an assumption that he is in talks with us or is there some truth in it? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has certainly spoken with Hoffenheim.}

Ed, do you know what other teams have been in contact with Hoffenhiem over sig? {Ed002's Note - Swansea, PSV, Zenit and, reportedly, Juventus.}

Hi eds, i get today that manutd has contacted hoffenheim, is it any truth in this or just poor journalism? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any contact by them.}

I think Siggy will be our most likely first significant signing, hopefully one or two others will follow, but it is not just the players you sign that matter, it is what you do with them.We may not sign the biggest names but that does not mean we will not be competing at the top end of the table.
CR

17 Jun 2012 16:00:58
What I don't get Edds is why are people saying soldado is going to join Liverpool yes he got left out of the euros but he's playing champions league football

It's simple. If you check, you'll see that a player has been signed for Liverpool in each of the last 7 seasons with a name ending in "O". That's why Soldado is on his way.

Hmmmm, apart from nobody last year signed for us, with an O at the end of their name, unless you count the real youngsters, and Ojo signed, whose what, 16?

Burnsy

Wake up burnsy,hes pulling your leg.

A terrible expression but so suitable here........LOL

Thanks guys, was great for a laugh, we need some humour on this page with all these guys that give the ed's so much crap. He stated it so matter of fact too.

Hendo?

17 Jun 2012 15:42:43
Sigurdsson is pretty much a done deal, take no interest of sly spouting crap about other clubs taking interest in him. They seen it on Twitter and then labelled it as "other clubs" without naming who these clubs were.

Muniain and Sturridge are the other two Rodgers is very keen on. If things go to plan they will sign along with a centre midfielder.

Sigurdsson, Muniain, Sturridge and a midfielder, I would be ecstatic with that.

Didn't you write the same thing yesterday?

If you'd have signed this post it would be a lot more believable. The fact that you haven't signed it makes me think your trying to hide because you know/think you're lying.

You are probably right about Sigurdsson though. Not sure on Muniain/Sturridge, both are possible I guess but to me don't seem likely. Of course that is just my opinion - other than the Eds on this site I have no means of finding out about general transfers haha

Reid the Red

I doubt Maniain would come, he's settled at Bilbao and let's face it what have we got to offer? We're not in the Champions league or Europa. It wouldn't be a step up for him, plus it's just to early. Lets face it we can't attract top players any more.

Red Joe

We are in Europa Joe

Here was me thinking we were in the Europa...

Your not much of a Red, Joe

That should read as ..red faced joe...lol..rayzor

"red joe" we are in the europa , cmon FANS know this sorta thing

Not much to offer were Liverpool football club.

Still not convinced about Sturridge.He will be very expensive and there may be other options of similar ability.

Well if someone else posted it then its more reliable, no? Look Sigurdsson is basically done, the other two are nowhere near completion but Rodgers likes them. Belhanda and Ramirez are also possibilities.

Muniain is too expensive at over £30 million and will probarbly go to the likes of Barcelona

Liverpool will loan out Aquilani for another year to Milan with an obligatory buy-out clause set at €1 million. (via Sky Italia)

Hi Ed, anything on this? after Juventus & AC Milan did to us over the past seasons are we again falling into the same pit. I think its do do die with Aqua man. We should not get fooled by AC Milan for the second time.

Bosco

{Ed002's Note - See earlier answer.}

So they have offered us 3 million euros but we will loan him out again then sell for 1 million euros, well that makes sense

Nobody is going to buy him. We should accept it. Every club knows he does not want to be here which in turn makes him immediately unsuitable to be in our squad, in my opinion. Couple this with the fact that it is now his last year in his contract and he has no value. Why would any club want to compensate for his wages now?

This whole saga has made us look like amateurs. I know it was under different owners but FFS the italian teams are making fools out of us.

I hope the club has learned a lesson or two out of this mess.

Rodgers should put his foot down, sell him for no less than the 7 million euro's agreed. Or hold him to the contract he signed. Alberto is a complete crybaby, he needs to man up. Also it would send a message to these Serie A clubs that we aren't gonna be messed around anymore.

LFC should make Alberto "an offer he couldn't refuse"

We should refuse to sell to Milan. Even actively seek out their close rivals for a deal.

17 Jun 2012 14:05:28
Hi! Eds: Do you think the fact that Rodgers coached Fabio Borini at youth level at Chelsea and also he's done reasonably well at Roma and got in to Italian Euro squad mean the rumours of LFC interest? could have some legs?
kidmillions {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any links to Liverpool right now.}

17 Jun 2012 13:59:34
Henri Bedimo of montpellier has been linked with liverpool and newcastle and has said he is going to make a decision about which premier league club he is joining next week. Do you know please if liverpool do have any interest or not?

many thanks
REDSFANBEN {Ed002's Note - See earlier answer.}

Liverpool could be doing with him, jose enrique is a terrible defender hope we move him on at some stage

Enrique has been hindered by Downings poor form.Not convinced Benimo is an improvement personally and I suspect that if he is making the decision it will be Newcastle because it will be easier for him to get a game there.Not convinced we are interested personally.

Hi eds, just querying if the likely vertongen transfer to spurs has been cast in doubt since Harry left or do you still see it as his likely destination? I know it's difficult to say but u may have heard something. Also have we ever shown interest? I known its a highly unlikely but should skrtel leave do u see him as a potential target due to previous scouting?

Thanks,
Jason {Ed002's Note - Vertonghen will not be moving to Liverpool this summer.}

His agent has said the move to Spurs is still on... time will tell I guess.

As has the player

17 Jun 2012 13:47:18
I see it is likely that we will loan out Aquilani to Milan again with an obligation to buy for 1 million. Do you know if Milan are paying all of his wages?
If so this might be the best we can hope for.

CR {Ed002's Note - I really doubt this.}

So we reject a 3 million euro bid from them to sell him in a years time for 1 million euros

That is the rumour on Twitter and this is a rumours site.

Oh twitter great, why didn't you say, must be true then I reckon

17 Jun 2012 13:32:26
Ed's what the crack with Milan and aqualani to be honest think we are getting taken for a ride by these Italian sides first juve now ac if they want him surely just cough up the doh heard its only 3 mill for god sake?? {Ed002's Note - The offer they made was 3M euros - the contracted figure was 7M euros.}

Its a business, they'll do what they can get away with. The problem is they know Liverpool wont force Aqualini to fullfill his contract. So they can offer peanuts and Liverpool have little choice but to take it.

There is new news on this but the Ed's decided not to use my last post.
It seems we are going to loan him to Milan for a season with an obligatory buy deal of 1 million next season.
If they are paying all his wages that may be the best deal we can get for this scumbag.
CR

Apologies Ed's. I see the post is there now.

I heard rumours about Walcott, and he actually isn't a bad shout. He supported Liverpool as a kid, plays in the position we are weak in, still young, has that burst of speed, we are desperately lacking. Also he wants to play a little more through the center, with our current striker problems he may well get that chance. In my opinion, it all depends on whether Arsenal are actually looking to get rid of him , or whether its just paper talk.

On another note, also heard about Asamoah, would be a great signing, if we were to pull that off {Ed002's Note - Asamoah will not be moving to Liverpool.}

Also has the lack of end product we already have and will cost 3 times his normal value, seems a perfect signing

Even the gooners think lennon is twice as good as theo!

Funny how you mention how he would sort out our right wing problems but then want to move him into the centre..?? YagEraDetinu

17 Jun 2012 12:44:50
As I can see it , it looks like Krasic (circa 7m), Sigurdsson (9m) Diame and Kalou (free) will be the first 4 signings and a great bit of business all round with a couple more to follow. Any more leaving will be replaced. Carlos from down under {Ed002's Note - I would not be so sure about either Diame or Kalou.}

Krasic 6m, tello 7m, sigurdsson 7m, soldado 20m

No one wants Kalou at LFC. Very lazy player who isn't what we need, IMO.

Gaz1975.

Be very happy if we got those four...see im not always negative...if not kalou and diame, krasic and sigurdsson would be a great start

Guys on the Liverpool website in an interview with Brendan Rodgers he said his only bringing in one or two players. Bit disappointed by that personally hoping for three or four.

This would be dreadful. sigurdsson is the only good one

17 Jun 2012 12:16:39
Hi Eds. Are liverpool still interested in elia, afellay and krasic because they all want to leave and i think we can snap all three of the up for less than 20 million. I still think they are world class and i reckon them three can solve our wing porblems. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool will not by all three. There is certainly interest in Krasic.}

What are chances of affelay?? {Ed002's Note - Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited but the kid is keen to stay and Barcelona seem keen to have him as a squad player. However, I think it is still possible that he will be available in the summer and that Barcelona would listen to offers. Italy looks like one option available to him if he is sold and there may be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle.}

Elia has been crap since the 2010 world cup and sick note affely will no doubt be another aquilani

is krasic any good? I thought I read something about him win.ing seria a's worst player for last season?

Thanks
Tom

17 Jun 2012 11:56:00
Hey Eds, is it true Soldado is about to sign a contract extension with Valencia?

Thanks
Amz {Ed002's Note - I am aware they would like him to stay and have offered a new deal - I don't know if he will sign it or not.}

17 Jun 2012 11:48:36
Is Walcott a real possibility for us as he and Adam Johnson would be great signings and only a thought but what about Jose bosingwa as back up to Jose Enrique at left back I know people will say don't want Chelsea rejects but free agent, just trying to be realistic, would love to spout of a load of champ league players but at moment they ain't going to come, heard Walcott is lfc fan

Walcott has his first good game of the season and now he would be a great signing

Bosingwa won the champions league, he could offer plenty (of eyebrow)
Caterpillar {Ed002's Note - Bosingwa is a right back, not a left back. His financial demands are also well beyond what Liverpool would want to pay.}

He is a lfc fan

The lad made more assists then any of r players probably goals aswell so it wouldnt be just 1 game would it I would sighn him cause he would improvement on the squad we have now if any 1 thinks other wise ya mad

I don't think he's technically gifted enough to play the way BR would like

If LFC buy A. Johnson they will help man city off load an expensive unhappy player and help them to fund the purchase of Thomas Muller. Why should LFC not go hard for Muller instead.

Bloody right back not left and a crap one at that, although pretty good going forward defending is bad! Rather see him played further up the pitch If anything

Just because Downing has been so poor it does not mean we have to sign inconsistent players like Walcott. Seems to blow hot and cold to me and I am not mad.

Walcott isn't the answers to our problems up front. He is very very fast but very poor in front of goal.

Don't get me wrong he changed the England game round on friday night, but he isn't consistant enough so I wouldn't want him to join the other misfits we have.

Gaz1975.

Bosingwa is crap with massive wages. adam johnson is overrated and walcott will not be worth the money we will have to spend for him. granted he has speed and can beat men but what is the point in beating 4 men when he has no end product
derryred

Gaz 1975 do you not think c ronaldo was inconsistent once consistency can be worked on -ZINC

17 Jun 2012 11:04:30
My friend is studying in Madrid an he told me that o. Thursday he was reading a Spanish paper think he said marsa he said there was an article on Bruno soroano of Villarreal saying he was open to a move to England an he said there had been previous enquirys in him from Liverpool an spurs an he said he would love to play for q big club in England he's a player who would suit Rodgers system as a deep lying creative midfielder

Yes he wants to play for a BIG club. Liverpool aren't a big club. I'll get my coat.

What is a deep lying creative midfielder?

17 Jun 2012 11:03:48
hello eds, any chance og getting lewandowski ? ..bvb r goin for de jong...perhaphs we can get lewandowski...he's a deadly striker {Ed002's Note - Don't hold your breath. Dortmund's Lewandowski has been watched by Liverpool, Real MAdrid, Rubin Kazan, Manchester United, Spartak Moscow (who are concerned about losing Welliton) and Lille. I very much suspect Bayern Munich would be top of the list with a cheque in hand should he not agree an extension at Dortmund but Dortmund certainly do not want to sell him to BM. The other more viable option is Manchester United or possibly Real Madrid if Higuain moves on. At present Dortmund and the player have been unable to reach agreement over a new deal but that does not mean that they won't.}

He misses so many chances, I'd rather just have an out and out poacher

Yeah sure...thats y he's bundesliga player of the year

17 Jun 2012 11:01:55
Hi Eds really dont understand these rumours this morning about Sigurdsson bid being hijacked by United? Havnt they just signed Kagawa who plays a very similar position and after watching both - very similar players?
RedRob

It is easy to understand they and their press cronies are trying to get his value raised.

It was rumoured by caughtoffside nuff said!

ITS SO FUNNY to me yes we havent won the league in twenty plus years but still utd fans and manager still get visibly frightened and start to scratch like pussy cats every time we do anything as a club i hope they enjoyed there last twenty years success ITS COMING TO AN END there the everton of manchester now HA

Thats more of reason why we should speed up the process of signing players,like Arsenal/Chelsea and United have secured their first player, we should've made every effort to tie up Sigurdsson as soon as BR identified him as a player he wants to sign.

Roy

17 Jun 2012 10:57:34
sigurdsson is a young(22) quaility player,technically good,excellent shot and is a good passer that suits BR's system. At around seven million,we will have bought a quailty player that will go straight into the first team at a bargain. Right winger will be addressed. This ultimately means that the majority of the funds I believe will be spent on a striker which I strongly believe will be soldado'

Melbourne'

OR Borini

I don't see us spending big money on a striker whan we already spent 35 million for one. i think we are likely to spend the money on a right winger

17 Jun 2012 10:56:56
Hi Eds,
Cameroon and Montpellier left-back Henri Bedimo:"next season i'll play in England,and i'll announce which club i'll be playing for,next week".
Newcastle and LFC are said to be interested.
Can you give a clearer view on this,Eds?

Cheers. {Ed002's Note - Not really. There is apparently interest in Bedimo from both Liverpool and Newcastle and I assume is would be a pretty much straight replacement for Aurelio in the thoughts of Liverpool. I remember him at Toulouse a few years ago but he is one of those easily forgetable, but probably reliable, defenders to be honest. I don't know where that would leave Robinson.}

On loan to someone perhaps?

Robbo is going out on loan to villa

17 Jun 2012 10:49:15
With Chelsea buying all these strikers hulk huntalaar and the other one I can't remember his name, what do you think of bringing Torres back think he'd hit it straight of with Ferrara again and we could probs get him for less than half what we sold him for also Owen might be a good free transfer if wages are right

This is defo a wind up post

What is wrong with you? why would you want torres, hes getting old now, not in his prime, cant you people just face that he has lost it!! plus.... hes a traitor!

Get a grip on yourselve man

Here we go again,brings a downer on the posts!

Stop it! just stop it!

And 5 people agree..Sigh..

1st point chealsea have not signed hulk or huntalaar.
2nd who's Ferrara
3rd there is no chance of Torres coming back we can't afford his wages
4th. Owen really ?
5th go back to bed

Are u insane, why would owen come back to lfc.
Ok, he was quality at lfc, but he's always injured and Torres will not come back, could u imagine the reaction of the fans?

Bring back Fowler as well and Rush.
Isn't Roger Hunt still alive!

Oh so we'd get Torres for just under half what we sold him for? Cool! we'd only have to pay 20 to 25 £million for a player who walked out on us.Always assuming he'd be happy to go without Champions league football.Then there's the question of his sky high wages.Yeah his return is really likely.As for Mr Owen well he spent most of last season unfit for the Mancs so why would we want him back regardless of his wage level? And as the other poster asks who is Ferrara? You are clearly a balloon mate!

Give Your Head A Wobble Fella !!

Fernando is that you ?

Sorry guys my thinking in the point was if Torres came back linked up with gerrard not Ferrara (predictive txt) he might find is goal form and shoot us to the champions league like before, that way not too many new faces relied on to gel quick, I know he's not a very liked person at anfield, but him a gerrard were on same wave length, and he doesn't become a bad player over a season and half, wasn't sure what wages he's on at Chelsea obviously too high, but that was just my thought guys not saying it should happen. Keep a look out for my next comment, have a nice one guys and hope we get some of the players we're all wanting and get the success we all want.

Dont worry i will look out for your next comment linking us with heskey. Lol :)

Are you serious?

Dont listen to the mean posters! You made me lol like i aint done in a while, Even if your post was a load of bulls**t! Oh btw you forgot to add that lfc are set to to also sign messi, ronaldo, casillas and john terry (to keep the wags on their toes) on their surge for champions league football ;-)

17 Jun 2012 10:44:11
With walcotts future at arsenal in doubt, are we at least interested in signing him!? Fits our transfer policy down to a t! Any info eds? Keep up the good work! :) {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest at this time.}

17 Jun 2012 10:33:11
Eds how likely is it that Skrtel will leave?

Keith YNWA {Ed002's Note - There has to be a chance.}

Ed I know this will just be a guess but what sort of money could we get from city

Also I am a massive believer in selling at the right time and now is the right time for skrtel we could easily replace him however if Agger were to go I think that would be a different story

Thanks {Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry.}

17 Jun 2012 10:30:54
Hey eds
What's the situation on Honda.
Thanks
Scousered {Ed002's Note - Liverpool were very interested at one time but may have blown their chance of Honda in January 2011 when he was available for about £8M. During the mid-season in Russia, Wolfsburg and Juventus were interested in Honda but the player said he wanted to move to Spain and the 25M euro asking price put them off. Recent enquiries for the player have been from Lazio, PSG, Sevilla and Palermo and Lazio nearly signed him in January. I suspect Lazio remains the most likely destination but Liverpool could revive their interest. Talk of a move to Arsenal periodically arises. Perhaps one for the January window.}

17 Jun 2012 09:45:17
hello great site i was just reading that man utd are trying to hi jack are are bid to bring sigurdsson i hope not i recall the same thing happened years ago with wright philipps when chelsea done it do you think we will get are man edds {Ed002's Note - I really don't know what Sigurdsson will decide.}

Ed do you know if united are interested I don't think they really need him

Thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in him from Manchester United at this time.}

We got lucky with Wright -Phillips.

17 Jun 2012 09:44:45
Any truth to the Fabio boroini rumours eds?

Cheers
Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any links with Borini.}

17 Jun 2012 09:35:23
Hi eds great site. , been reading for a while now and have never posted but am now fed up with all these ITK merchants that actually know nowt ! So I'm gonna let you know exactly what's happening. The decision on what's happening re: stadium has been made and announcement will be made in a couple of weeks. BR has been told that money is available for striker and Winger and if they fit in with fsg plans then fee is irrelevant, the money will be made available . After that players in will be determined by money raised from sales and agreeing "sensible" wages.
If I'm wrong, you can slate me no probs . But I'm not
Tellitasitis

Looks sensible, thanks for the info!

Do you have any idea what the stadium decision is?

JanBorman

Sorry I don't , and if anyone says they do then they are lying because only a handful of people know . The owners and high flyers at the council .
Tellitasitis

Thanks Tellitasitis, lets hope it is a good decision ;) Can't wait for the summer! Hoping for: Soldado, Sigurdsson, and Mertens. Muniain is the dream, but I can't see it happening tbh

JanBorman

OMG its like reading old news ,anyone can say that about the stadium.stop saying what others have said before.

Oh my lord , a know all mood hoover ! Im telling you what IS happening not what clowns like you THINK is happening !
Tellitasitis

Daniel Halliwell have you reinvented yourself again?

You are telling us all that some time in the future there will be an announcement that Anfield will either be re-developed or a new stadium will be built? Well how amazing is that? You clearly have inside info that nobody else has.

If you are so ITK, why bother reDing this site?! Seems a bit retarded to me!

Tellitasitis you know jack s**t,anyone can look at the forum and say the same.i think Anfield will be re-developed or a new stadium will be built, thats cause i have seen it on here you clown

I guarantee we're redeveloping and a hotel is being built. The press will have some of the info by tuesday.

A hotel? In Anfield? Have you ever been to Anfield?

Rumour has it in fact that part of the development around the ground will include the construction of a hotel.Whether there's any truth in that remains to be seen.

@ the one querying the hotel. this is precisely FSG plan if we end up staying at Anfield, it will be built in the area of Lothair Road after the site is cleared (back of the main stand)... mate this isn't a secret.

You sound like bruce grobellar did we sign that south american striker you wor talking about yet haha-ZINC

Eds I totally respect the job you are doing dealing with all these muppets ! I come in here to pass on info that is 100% and get sh*ep I assume that's cos I never said we was signing messi .
Tellitasitis

Tellitasitis backup ur cliams then ,instead of crying to the EDs you MUPPET

All sounds very sensible, thanks for the post tellitasitis

Red-pasty

How do you want me to back up my claims nameless Einstein ? Tell you how I know ? Yeah I'm gonna do that and risk not gettin any more info . I feel the fact I do know what's happening is making you feel a little inadequate ? Tellitasitis

You r full of bull all you have done is say what others have said,with all the post on here its not hard to come up with the crap you say,i cant say my name i might lose my job lol

You really are not paying attention are you ? At what point did I ever say I would lose my job ? Ok little boy , this is a site for the big people so you pop along now and get back to your Lego . Tellitasitis

ED002, have United agreed a deal with Athletic Bilbao to sign Susaeta?
KiwiRed {Ed002's Note - No.}

with the contract talk of theo walcott not good with arsenal i think we should bid for hime. he had a great game against sweden. he is a liverpool fan aswell. also we should go in for adam johnson from man city and also wwe should go in fro sturridge(spelling)

Have to agree with the Eds on Theo, good athlete but a so-so footballer will probably cost a lot and will play well once every 5 games

Prelen

Sigurdsson A.Johnson Walcott and Sturridge Thank you very much!! : )

Sigurdssen in the middle (hoping ol' red nose is just letting us know he could if he wanted to, like he did with Adam), Johnson on the right, and 'Liverpool fan' Walcott given a chance in his preferred central position might be a promising, not too unrealistic summer's business. Great squad plus options on the bench...

Raised Eyebrow

Agree with you mate except for sturridge.
Walcott will never be a winger as long as he has a hole in his arse,why nobody plays him upfront ill never know the guys lightning fast,and as for johnson i think the guy is class, like chrissy waddle on steroids!

Ginerbolox

I can't believe it people saying Walcott not good enough he is well better then the wingers we have got now an being a Liverpool supporter he would work hard for us

Hes had 35 mins in one game where hes played well ,last 2 seasons zip
Well left alone swap Downing for him hes doing F A

No thanks. Beats people then can't put a cross in. Opposite to Downing who can't beat anyone but can cross. Now, if you thought you could morph them together then we might be talking.
Long live the King

Is that you King Kenny?

I would welcome walcott. but i would not use him as a winger. he got pace but he is tacticly weak. up front as a pacy striker along with carroll or suarez would fit him well

You want the wwe to go in for sturridge?? I know hes pretty useless at football but im sure hes not that bad that he'll pack it in and switch to pro wrestling ;-)

Sturridge Walcott and Johnson! Would pretty nifty

Fellow reds

I've just come back from Germany where I have been studying further business management degree at Munich university. Reports here ate that with lewandowski leaving Dortmund Luuk de Jong will be joining the German champs. Is this true eds and does this mean a move for saldado is more likely now.

Dankun kirt {Ed005's Note - It is certainly possible that De Jong will end up at Dortmund. He looked a good shout for us but interest has cooled which perhaps suggests Rodgers wants someone else, but then again maybe he wants De Jong, who knows. As for Soldado, it may increase our chances of looking at him further but it is all down to BR.}

Hi long time reader but it's my first time posting!
I'm sorry if you have already been asked these questions before, may have missed them!
1. What is the situation with Muniain at the minute? Is there any chance that he will sign for LFC?
2. I know you said that Soldado was being looked at, any more news on him?
3. Heard a rumour that the Mancs may be signing Sigurdsson instead of LFC. Any truth in that?
4. Last but not least, heard a rumour that LFC were considering Walcott! Is that possible?

Hope I didn't take too much of your time! Great site and thanks in advance!
YNWA!
Forever Red!
Nicholas {Ed005's Note - I would say no on all four. Maybe Man Utd are considering Sigurdsson however they've signed Kagawa in that area now and I remain confident Sigurdsson will be an LFC player pretty soon.}

Sigurdsson will join LFC as he have good relation with BR. and he may be warm bench if he join man utd chelsea or city.

Remember that sigurdsson rumour was started by caughtoffside...the only team trying to get sigurdsson is maybe reading but he doesnt want to go there

If we bid for Munian surely we have a chance {Ed002's Note - Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao in January - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros. They won't get it because I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has had some off field issues. If the price comes down to a reasonable level (20M euros might be an acceptable figure) I can see interest from several English clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool. Napoli and Roma interest is still there and rumours abound of Juventus and Malaga interest but perhaps an eventual move to Barcelona beckons.}

I would like to ask the ed.If skertal does end up leavening and I no we've Kelly and Coates and carra.I think we need a half decent CB then.Who do you think that's out there can come straight in to the 1st team that you'd like if he does go.And would be available at right price.cheers. MATTYLFC {Ed005's Note - There are plenty of good quality centre-backs out there I'm sure. Who we like is hard to say really because I'm sure we planned to keep Skrtel and didn't anticipate losing him.}

Kelly and Coates have alot of potential in my opinion and Kelly use to be a CB and can still play there which is good because he has pace,strength,height and he can head the ball

Lovren?

Kjaer

You forgot agger but if skertal does go we will need cover for agger and carra.
cheers mal

If Skrtle leaves though I think we will need a good CB,not just decent.We will have a lot of games next season9hopefully) so will need plenty of cover .I don't think he will go though to be honest.

Douglas free

Not quite sure with your wording there ed 5, have we already lost skirts? confused. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Kjaer instant chemistry with agger and a top player anyway, should be available for approx 9-12mill so we wouldn't lose out

Walcott, Sigaurdsson and Muniain are current top transfer targets, Allen will be bid for if he hands in transfer request. Strikers still being assessed, top target yet to be decided.

Cheers JY

Joe Allen is tripe.
We have Henderson who is miles better.

Would love um all bar Allen.

Lol to the poster who said joe Allen is tripe, you clearly don't know nothing about football.

He's the player that makes Swansea tick, everything good involves him and with a higher pass completion rate than any of the barca team he is the type of player all top teams need

Seen a post earlier asking for any info on friendlies.. I am a steward for LFC and got the letter of return yesterday morning.

It states the following on the letter:

Possible Europa League Play Off game
Wednesday/Thursday 1st or 2nd August Kick off 8PM

Possible Europa League Play Off game
Wednesday/Thursday 8th or 9th August Kick off 8PM

(Above dates depending on the home/away draw)

Pre Season Friendly
Sunday 12th August 2012: Kick off TBC (Stated most likely mid afternoon, and opponents are yet to be confirmed)

Start of new season
Saturday 18th August 2012 (Watch the press to see if were at home)

All the info I have for you guys.

Your 'info' would'nt be called 'This Is Anfield' would it? They published our pre-season fixtures and possible Europa League dates, at 10.42 last night.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Leave a name in future so we know who you are! Thanks, though.

BthekingB

This letter is true as i am a steward and got it as well

Im a steward too! I've not got my letter yet, maybe I'll get it tmrw!

Liverpool don't have to qualify for Europa league as we were FA cup runners up and Chelsea are in the CL. {Ed002's Note - The dates are correct - UEFA would not recognise Liverpool's FA Cup qualification.}

My bird is a turnstile operator and she got the same letter yesterday morning with the same information as this guy did, so no he is full legit.

Thanks MarkoLFC85

Also an England friendly versus Italy on the 15th of August, 3 days after our final friendly and 3 days before the start of the PL season.

All I can say is well done FA another great job :|

Ben

B****cks. My sister is getting married on the 18th. I'd better not miss the match!

Thanks for taking the time to post this.

BJH YNWA

Sly sports has reported that gylfi sigurdsson is in talks with Liverpool. I do hope it is true he should be a great talent still with potential :) any news on this ed? {Ed001's Note - all I know is we spoke to his club to sort out a fee, I believe we have to pay more than Swansea would have because their deal was agreed as part of the loan, and have been given permission to speak to the player's reps.}

So eds it seems like your info is to repeat rory smith word for word from @rorysmithtimes on the dreaded twitter lol

Perhaps edd001 is Rory smith........

Hi Eds, great site this one!
How available is the Tcheckian right back Theo Gebre-Selassie? Seems he could be a great ( and cheap?) replacement if Johnson left us - imo.
Tunkvalo {Ed001's Note - no idea, I don't know anything about him, other than him being the first black player to represent the Czechs.}

Couldn't help but put my head in my hands when I read Tcheckian.

BthekingB

Don't put much hope on the player, mate. He is very interested in moving to Werder Bremen of the bundesliga, and Werder are very interested in him.

The fees for him is being trashed out between Bremen and the player's present club presently. So you might as well forget him.

Theo is Czech pls not that bull that u wrote. He plays for SLOVAN LIBEREC and got buy-out-clause that is 800,000 euros and Werder want to meet that money after what they saw in our matches

16 Jun 2012 22:46:05
Early reports from multilpe sunday papers say Sigurdson is wanted by Liverpool, United, Arsenal and Chelsea. This was always the case. The 4 teams were always interested in him. The only reason the Liverpool interest was made public was because of the whole Brendan Rodgers/Swansea/Liverpool thing happened. Spurs were also interested, But now that Redknapp has gone their interest has cooled. All 4 teams have had the 6.8m transfer fee accepted by hoffenheim.

You mean caught offside? Complete bullocks.

Papa G

Twitter alert! i read that earlier bostonredblox

Your info became pointless at the 6.8 mil fee which was only a part of the loan deal agreement with swansea. Hoffenheim now want more money

Do not believe the press, only liverpool and swansea are in for him

None of the press today are saying Chelsea Arsenal or Manu Utd have bid. The only source quoting Man Utd is caught offside SAY NO MORE!!

If united and chelsea have interest in him ( which i doubt they have) he wont be signing for liverpool then
