If we could get Torres back for £20m would mean Carroll only cost the club £5m. Might be a good thing for everyone.

Huyton red

How did you arrive at that conclusion

I personally would love to have Torres back. A lot of us fans gave him stick in his bad form and kind of forced him out, then chelsea offereed 50 mill and we couldnt say no to that! To get him back for 20 mill would be class. We need a 3rd attacker as Suarez is amazing carroll is class but needs to hit form torres is need to add that extra angle and so we can have a good striker on the bench.

However i expect chelsea would not sell him back to us for anything like that amount, they would want alot more or they would have basically given us 30mill to loan torres off us for a season :/

Manno

Why do you want him back hes rubbish

Your maths is poor

Would just like to throw out a lol

Why would we want him back the dressin room was a shambles when he was their and for the record he's at a bigger club sh the t**t!! Jay dublin

Where do you type of people come from? id expect that sort of question from a not so bright 12 year old. wat an person you are

And that £20M comes from where?

Carroll cost £35M, irrespective.

I kinda don't want to be mean but...have you ever done maths before {Ed009's Note - We make 50 million from Torres before buying him back for 20 million. That leaves us with a profit of 30 million, which would mean spending just 5 million of unearned money on Carroll and still having Torres. That is his logic.}

Carrolls not even worth £5m

Torres not even worth 20m

I loved FT, but we dont need a fair weather player. Good luck to him for the rest of his career and may he earn loads of money.

GUYS! drop it! It's boring now!

Aye I know all the negative stuff but Ive got 3 shirts with his name on the back! We need him back at any cost!

Not just a question of money. Bringing back Torres means switching to an older style of play that we have left behind (quick long ball from Gerrard into channels for Torres to run into). We will play a more technical, possession game going forward. So not gonna happen.

Too many injuries too early in his career similar to Owen. Will never be the player he was. At the end of the day Carroll and Suarez were effectively a pound for pound swap for Torres and Babel. Whilst yet to prove himself, I think we are better off with the two we have now, and the wage bill less.

Some people on ere av no idea yes he left liverpool for chelsea and has struggled but the boy is class and will come good carroll however is at best average does put effort in which people doubt on ere but lacks quality same as lucas until we buy quality top four is all we can hope for!

Behave yourself lad, another huyton red

The fans forced him out?! What planet are you on, he handed in a transfer request giving us a day or so it get a replacement, he believed his own hype. Was it Liverpool fans fault if was crap in the world cup too? He's on his way down, injury prone, lost pace. Good riddance, move on

Dalglish doesn't have any time for him so I can't see it happening. I don't want to speculate on the reasons why they fell out after being pretty close, but there was a whisper that as much as Nando disliked playing the lone striker role, broken promises ect.., the straw that broke the camel's back was trying to drag poor lad to see Westlife on the Arena

I was just watching last years game with Fulham. I was very impressed with Maxis performance. I wonder why he doesnt get a chance on first team anymore. He is brilliant.

Maxi played last year last 6/7 match and did very well. he have a good understanding with suarez dont know why he not even play a game?

Ahh. Good evening Mr Rodriguez... how are you today? Impressive site eh?

I wouldn't go as far as brilliant but he's well worth a run on the right of midfield. I kind of assumed that was where he would play when he was signed but it hasn't really worked out that way. fair play to him though, he did that tricky left hand side job when nobody else could.

Len

I have to say maxi is a terrific squad player. I know he isn't young anymore but his reading of the game is great and he's an intelligent player with the ball. Plus the guy scores goals. I noticed a lot of lfc fans showing a little respect for him by wanting to sell which is madness for a squad player who last year scored two hatricks... A lot more than several other players have ever achieved at the club.

Maxi over Henderson ANY DAY !

ed, i thought martin kelly was injured but he is on the photos so is he fit and ready to play? {Ed002's Note - The best guide for such things is Physio Room which collates information from the clubs themselves. At present, they are listing the following Liverpool injuries:

G Johnson Hamstring Injury Available 12th Oct 11
M Kelly Hamstring Injury Available 18th Sep 11 slight doubt
S Gerrard Gilmores Groin Available 21st Sep 11}

Steven gerrards groins available ed? lol

MIKEY {Ed001's Note - Ed009 will be interested to hear that ;o)}

Just spoken to Adam Sandler, Happy wants his groin back!

Ed - Do you think FT has realized what a big mistake he has made to leave Liverpool for Chelsea, I would take him back for half the price thou I doubt that will ever happen. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea; but he is gone and I don't think he will be returning to Liverpool. I think you really need to accept that.}

Agree Ed02: He has chosen to leave. Let it go people. Why do we have to go on the Chelsea apge giving them stick over him.
We will survive without him

I still can't come to grips with 'fans' who would want him back - why, why?! he turned his back, spit on us, trampled on our good name... but above all, he's lost everything about his game... lordy he can't even find the goal to save his skin! SingRed

He looks a pale shadow of his old self, why would anyone want him back

Pardoe

A Chelsea fan sure say that :) is in it ED 002 {Ed001's Note - I would say that too, as would anyone with any sense. He is not welcome back and it is extremely unlikely he will be coming back, thankfully.}

ANDY CARROLL

I agree with the majority, he isn't welcome back, but he will find his form, and the back of the net before too long. It's a shame he didn't have any faith, but then nor did that midget and we won the champs league after he left so....

I was making the point that he has made a huge mistake leaving us, I'm sure if you all herd he was coming back you wouldnt be on here posting to stop the sale. Yes he left us and pissed us all of, but dont forget how good he was 2 yrs ago!!

Why would you want Torres back? What has he proved over the games he's played for Chelsea? Carroll has played a lot less yet scored more and everyone is on his back.. Come on get behind Carroll and forget that Torres ****!

I would take Torres back if he sincerely apologized for his actions. I would not turn my back on someone who would apologize. I try not to keep hate or ill feelings in my heart and it would be great if more people could try to do that as well

1: I disagree with Ed when he says FT will find his form again, i watched him for years in Spain and then for us and IMHO we've seen his best. he's lost his mojo.
2: I agree with the poster who tells us to get behind Carroll.

Wat a muppit, another so called fan with a s**t comment

As ive said before im interested in where and why these Torres rumours have suddenly started coming from and in my opinion, for the right deal and the right words of apology id not be totally against his return.. But I dont see Chelsea selling him for less that 25m..
However, If Kenny told us that Torres was the man he needed and asked us to forgive and take him back, how many of us could say no to the King?!
Players do return, Liverpool have previous for cashing in and then getting a player back for bugger all.. Rush, Bellamy..
ItsNotRocketScience

The Rent Boy is where he belongs. Forget about him. Let him rot at an artificial club... He might have as well chosen Citeh.
By the way, by "artificial" I only mean Abramovich era's Chelsea. I have a lot of respect for the club as it was before that money bag came.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out making Yossi Benayoun's loan switch permanent, on the same day the midfielder revealed joining the Gunners instead of Liverpool was 'an easy choice'.

1st choice in an Arsenal team in London where ya dont have to move house etc and uproot ur family.. or squad player in up and coming Liverpool squad where u have to uproot ur family and move!
I think it prolly was an easy choice!
ItsnotRocketScience

Itsnotrocketscience hit the nail on the head there. Any move back to Liverpool would only have been for 1-2 seasons. He's not long moved down south with all the family disruption that causes so he was hardly likely to repeat the process for the sake of no more than 2 years.

I think that fact that Liverpool withdrew their interest probably made the choice even easier.

Of course it was an easy choice as there was no chance him being in our starting 11 !?

Grat replies to this post

It's very simple. This is sump true worst arsenal team we have seen since the mid 90's. Someone said that it'll be a dogfight between lpool and arsenal for 4th spot. At the end of the day. Arsenal just made 4th last season since then they have sold their two best players, and get crap players to replace them? We will finish in the top 4. The reason is because we are the 4th best team. It's very simple, don't panic

Oh yeh u showed how good you was sunday! lmao 4th my arse C.O.Y.S
