Also just heard Gerrard is in advanced talks with Liverpool over a coaching role with the academy, not saying it's true but this is a rumour site after all.

Wow, has it been in the press at all? always wondered why people put news like this on this site, it may come as a surprise to these people, that if you have access to this site then you can pretty much guarantee that they have checked pretty well all the football news sites as well, apart from the radio news, Sky news etc.

Maybe Henlow red heard this off a source close to the club or someone they know, who provides good information. or maybe we should flood your inbox so you can filter out what's been reported on. I hate moaning posts (as I write one) but your post John B has no point to it whatsoever.

Its not just posting the rumour to share it, but to enable us the ability to discuss it too. If we don't post about stuff that's all over the press, how can we collectively rip it to pieces for being rubbish?

I might be wrong Zeddicus but I doubt that Gerrard has all the badges and licences required to be a manager yet, like many internationals.
There was an article the other day proposing that Lampard and Gerrard should be fast tracked through their qualifications given their knowledhe of the game.
Eds, any idea on the coaching qualifications Gerrard holds?

I'm sure I read that he is very close to or has just finished the UEFA A, which means he can coach in the second tier and below.
