Would llike to thank all of the board for revamping our hopes and dreams, i hope purslow will be rewarded with a place in our fantastic club, what do you think ED will he be kept on? {ed's note - I believe there is a very good chance of him and Ian Ayres staying with the club thankfully.}

Had to laugh at the Hicks interview sitting under a picture of the proposed new stadium trying his best to convince us liverpool fans that he was going to build it, it reminded of the interview he did from the states with the kids up with liverpool scarves around there neck yawning with tiredness. Shame he has to sell that picture of Stanley park and the kids scarves to pay his next heating bill. .Haaaaa Haaaaa Haaaaa

Think I am going to hav my best night's sleep for a long while. Just watched the Hicks interview. Wiped the tears from my eyes. Wife said I was cruel to be laughing like that. Here is my own questions

1) You knew the debt was a burden on the club why did you only attempt to repay YOUR loan to RBS today. What has happened for the last 3 1/ 2 years.
2) Why didn't you address the supporters and explain the situation regarding the finance markets. instead you distanced yourself from fans and between you and Gillett caused chaos
3)Know that are issuing a law suit are you and Gillett talking now
4)When in 2008 the finance markets collapsed you had the opportunity to accept a new bid from DIC for £500 million. You blocked Gillett from selling. This was before you allegedly ploughed in £144m of your own money. This would have given you both a £120m profit each

Interesting line in a Telegraph piece about the takeover mentions "of eight spoiling measures Broughton's lawyers had predicted, the Americans used three." I'm certainly impressed that Broughton and co were prepared for this, but curiosity has me wondering what the other five petulant acts possibly could have been. Hicks chained to the railings perhaps or maybe a dirty protest in the High Court?

What will be henry and N.E.S.V. plan of operation

1. . . . . there top guys will be looking at the best way to promote liverpool in america and the middle east and asia as this is where they see most revenue prospects

2. . . . . there won't be a new stadium they will look to update anfield and raise to a 65,000 stadium work will start as early as next summer

3. . . . . .hodgson will be replaced by christmas you got it here first

4. . . . . . 40 million will be handed out for january with a 100 million kity for new manager in summer N.E.S.V. will buy big for first two transfer windows then rely on profit from club to finance transfers as they look to make liverpool self funding by 2012

NESV. .whats the combined wealth of all the members? ?Anybody got an idea?

As far as i am aware there are up to 17 in this NSVE group, up to 10 of them including John Henry have 500 Mil plus each, the rest 250 Mill plus each which roughly would be around 7.5 Bill

If Hicks and Gillett think they've been swindled perhaos they would like to explain ho a club which they bought for around 180M three years ago and was sold for 300M today (an increase of over 50% in purchase price in 3 years) is a swindle when they have invested nothing (all investments were in fact loans taken out on the club).

The reality is if they had recouped the purchase price less the loans ( a negative equity) they would have broken even.

Which is roughly what has happened.

Wow! Wot a last couple of days. Amazing relief about today's events . The last 3 days have been hectic . Great job guys and the Ed for all your imput, but can I just big up the Gaurdians blog on this whole thing. Amazing, amazing coverage. We were never out of the loop. I was constantly refreshing the page and then checking this site incase anybody heard some new news before me!

Ssn should be ashamed of themselves. That was a pathetic line of questioning to old f@&k face. Didn't put him on the spot at all. Just lapped up his sob story. Ed- it's my understanding that lfc cannot be implicated in his proposed move for damages in the uk court but rbs and the 'home team" are. I'm sure they would have covered every possible scenario with the amazing team of lawyers that they had but if hicks wins some sort of case against the directors. - would he sue them personally - and would they not get any protection from the club because they might not be working for lfc at that time

Omz {ed's note - Hicks would have to sue them personally, so I doubt the club would be able to do anything other than pay their legal fees. The guy is deluded, his case rests on very little, as soon as I get definite info and can really positively explain what he is referring to, I will share it with you all. But suffice it to say it is resting on very little other than the 'Home Team' thing and how they referred to each other in emails and letters.}

"Just reading the interview with Hicks, i always thought the man was greedy and devious, but does anyone else wonder whether he has a genuine problem with reality. His ramblings, as well as those spoken on his behalf by his lawyers, are positively delusional, now the conspiracy involves the entire British establishment. "

Swindler that you are you will no doubt be in cahoots with RBS and Purslow to deny that Maxi was first man on the moon!

"We all know hicks is full of s* te, but I do think he talked sense when talking about Rafa losing the club & buying average players!"

Yep - s* te like Saint Martin and monster and s* tty Nando.

If we want your opinion mate we'll ask Hicks if he'll take his d* k out your gob and allow you to speak.

It's enough to drive me to drink - as father jack once said while renting a car!

It's not only NESV's combined wealth that matters. As I said, these guys have connections with the biggest financial instutions in the world. If Liverpool want a new stadium, and they need money, they will get the better deal from these banks than anyone else could. Especially Hicks. Cos he doesn't repay.

Just reading the interview with Hicks, i always thought the man was greedy and devious, but does anyone else wonder whether he has a genuine problem with reality. His ramblings, as well as those spoken on his behalf by his lawyers, are positively delusional, now the conspiracy involves the entire British establishment. The claims are so far removed from the truth and a comprehension of his own manipulative actions it is almost bordering on comedy. Quote of the day - "There was a bit too much debt, no question, but we were going to fix that." I've gotta say, whoever hired this Steve Stodghill to represent him has done us all a favour as he sounds an absolute plumb in comparison to Grabiner.

Ding dong the witch is dead!

Was Hicks swindled out of the club?

+Well if he had the money to pay RBS, then why didn't he pay up early.
+He called us internet terrorist. I liked being called a terrorist by Hicks. lol
+He said Beni spent £150m the 2nd highest in the premiership, SFA a good manager and beni just wasted the money.
+ He wanted to build the stadium but plans took too long and cost £30m and then the credit crunch hit the world and no money around.
+ He thinks the club was sold to the wrong person, better investors who want to invest real money in the club including building the stadium.

NESV. .whats the combined wealth of all the members? ?Anybody got an idea?

Approx. 1.5B dollars with all 16 investors, but with all of them having their hands in the financial sector, they can get money at the blink of an eye if needed.
