The clearance from Son late on in the final epitomised Virgil for me. Anyone else and Son would have been in on goal. Best defender in the world right now, bar noneš.

Interesting fact that. I remember seeing Gomez was clocked with the fastest sprint on the training ground. CBs with pace is perfect four our high line defence.

Goodmorning Eds. Is Klopp really open to a Salah sale as it is reported in the media and if so are there any interested teams in taking him?

{Ed001's Note - this has been done to death on here. RTP.}
15 Jun 2019 09:21:07
The decision seems to be in Salahs hands and behind closed doors and to his agent he has shown a desire to go elsewhere in the past (and possibly again) . That hasnāt worked out due to contractual demands and now possibly the team he wants to go to having other plans.
Klopp does not seem the sort to hold people hostage of they want out and from what we have seen and heard there has been early moves to have options in place should Salah take this ādreamā to the next level. I posted that I had it on very good authority that we asked to be informed over SanĆØ (clearly a tough option of impossible as City would be crazy to sell to us) and PĆ©pĆ© is now the buzz word around the forum. Both would only be considered if Salah went so are preparation moves rather than actual declarations of intent.
So it looks like Klopp wants to keep him but is preparing for the worst but wouldnāt fight it if Salah became an issue/ problem.
Thatās how I see it based on what Iāve seen and read on here.

Thanks BeckersGloves. Can I just make an observation to the Eds. I have been a reader of this site for years, and seen it change from a rumour site (e. g. "my mum's best mate's gardener is also Rafa's gardener and he heard. ") to more of a gossip and opinion site, and that's all fine. I occasionally posted a rumour as I knew someone who worked at Melwood, but no longer. I dip in, more on a weekly basis nowadays, but still enjoy the gossip and the narkiness and snipes of the eds.
My observation is this: I understand the frustration and snipes to posters in relation to oft asked questions on the same subject over and over again but I find the 'RTP! ' answer a little frustrating also as using the search function is a little like splitting open a thousand oysters to find a single pearl. Is there a way of creating a 'Common Rumour Status' page that the RTP reply links to, with headings such as "Mo Salah and Klopp disagreement and possible sale. Current status"? Or some other way of helping us and maybe making your lives easier and more chilled? Just a suggestion, but if you want to have a go, I'm a big lad, I can take it!

Why would Salah leave. It was him and Firmino that was hassling Mane to sign a new contract. Why would he care about Mane if he was going anywere. Previously Salah and Klopp had fallen out and his agent had used this to get another payday but Klopp and Salah made up. All his world fame had come from playing for Liverpool and the success he has had with us so why would he take a chance of losing this.

Iām not worried about this at all. If Salah wants to leave, heās mad in my view.
But if he does, I have enough faith in the set-up now that we would not be damaged by it.

100% agree stemfr. You need to be a big boy to comment on here sometimes with the way comments are ripped to shreds (not always by the Eds) . Of course the Eds are entitled to get narky every now and again. When dealing with the public it's inevitable.
Just another observation with regard to the site, typing a comment takes an age because the site becomes unresponsive. Anyone else have this issue? .

I agree verdo although sometimes I think the Edās responses could be a little more diplomatic. I enjoy harmless banter as much as the next guy but sometimes it does go beyond that.
Letās not forget this is a site run by the Eds for the posters. Therefore without the posters there is no site.
The Eds deserve a lot of respect for what they do of course but so do the people who take the time to post on the site.
Iām not having a moan but as we had got on to the subject I thought Iād air my view.

Salah wants to go to Real Madrid. More than Real Madrid want Salah.
When and if Real Madrid want Salah more, Real will pony up the money, and Salah will leave.
Klopp won't stand in the way. Because Salah is not irreplaceable.
Is that about the gist of it?

Can we stop with the āWhy would Salah want to leaveā comments now. This thing may disappear or may snowball but itās a known fact that he wants to go RM, if they had accepted the terms that his agent asked for (agreed by MS), he would already be playing for them. There is a fear that he missed the boat by asking for things that would not be granted and his team when back with a different set of terms.
At this stage heās not going anywhere and it may seem absurd that any player would want to leave us at this current stage but we need to accept that he wants to go to Madrid and itās only them stopping it from happening at the moment. I guess the only question I would like to know from Eds (as itās one that I donāt think has been covered) is, have his agents approached any other clubs or has there been any signs that his desire to leave is anything other than to Madrid. That may (or may not) put it in to perspective that itās āhim and not usā as I get how the thought of any player looking to āupgradeā brings a level of butt hurt to fans.
If he has been looking at anywhere other than his ādreamā then itās a totally different situation and one that the club will be way ahead of in preparation for a sudden shift.

I think we got to realise with Salah, that he grew up in Egypt, during a time where Liverpool were not the dominant force in world football. id hate to see him go, but deep down i can understand his desire to play for the team he idolised. he's not trying to get out for any old team, he's following a lifelong dream. il prob get slated for this but im trying to put a non bias angle on this. were fans, and we love our club, he's an Employee. i hope we keep him, really, but i don't want to hate on him if all he wants is to fulfill his ambitions, wrongly or rightly.

We all as fans would give everything to play for Liverpool, the ultimate dream. We can never grasp why others might want out, even when we were struggling we always had this confusion. How the likes of Torres will never be loved by other fans like we love him etc. Fact is we are red fans, these players aren't. We are strong as ever right now but Madrid are still Madrid. It's the pinnacle move for ever player in the game.
