Hi Ed02, just wondered what the situation was with Tevez? And what striker will most likely end up at Anfield? I know we have Sturridge, origi and Ings, so that could be as far as we go I guess. Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - Boca Junios would like Carlos Tevez to return this summer but (a) money for a transfer and wages will be an issue, and (b) Daniel Angelici has seriously miffed Juventus by instructing Tevez to terminate his contract by whatever means are necessary. Trading some cash and options on midfield prospect Adrián Cubas, striker Guido Vadalá and/or Federico Bravo may be something that suits all parties - but the players would need to agree. Adrian Ruocco has said Tevez will see his contract out and then move to Boca as a free agent. I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Tevez, although the Liverpool fans are getting their rocks off thinking about him.}

Thank you. So with Sky Sports (I know not always right ) they claim an English club is interested but not us. Any ideas or just rubbish?

Hey ed, I know it will drag out a bit, but has there been any actual change in the situation with Kovacic in the space of one day? Some quotes from Inter director and whatnot?
Also, rumours about Joe Gomez gathering pace? Haven't heard much about the lad, seems a youth signing, and one making little sense after the Illori fiasco and Lloyd Jones still looking a bright prospect - unless he is signed to play right back, which does not seem to be his favored position.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed with MK. I am told by the Sports Editor of an English paper that there is interest in Joe Gomez from Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. He says Charlton will look to hang on to him or to get a very good fee and a loan back for at least one year. He doesn't see Dortmund as a viable option and he is not convinced any move will happen this summer. This could be one to drag on, like Tyrone Mings and Will Hughes, with nothing happening in the end.}

As I mentioned earlier having spoken to him he's very exited and keen for a move to Liverpool, he's turned down arsenal I've no idea if he'll be loaned back to charlton but do no he really wants the deal to go through.

I said from the start we would not sign Kovacic and I still feel the same.My reasons are that he is such a good prospect if he does move it will be to a richer ,more glamorous, club.
Pity though.

From my friend the Saints Fan: Apparently Clyne agreed terms with Liverpool but due to their lowball offers when they thought they were the only team in the running Saints have rejected.

Now Man U back in, since Alves signed new contract with Barcelona. Man U is Clynes preferred deal so he is hanging on.

Sounds about right.Sóton are tough to buy from though.Look how they got all that money out of us for Lovren and Lallana last season and did we improve them as players or get the best out of them ? Certainly not. Maybe Sóton had a better manager and coaching staff than us.

Hey Eds, Telegraph reporting that Arsenal are looking to bid for Sterling. Have you heard anything new and, if so, any whisper of Walcott coming the other way?

News this morning that liverpool are going back with an improved bid (15 million) for Clyne.
Seems to be getting a bit expensive now but definitely an improvement on the players we currently have.

Clyne thrives going forward because Wanyama is there to cover for him when he does hence, he looks effective in that system. However as a one on one defender, he is not that good when exposed and if Wanyama isn`t there to plug that hole, he will be caught upfield and out of position. Wisdom is a much better defender and very good on the ball. With BR selling Lucas with no DM to replace him and preferring Allen to play DM, we will struggle mightily there. Wisdom should be given a chance because frankly, i prefer a defender who can defend first and do the rest after.

Totally agree on the above point re Clyne, however the Wisdom point I'm not so sure about. Andre Wisdom did not start a game for West Brom after the arrival of Tony Pulis, who we all know loves a good defender. Surely if Wisdom was that good he would have got more games at the back of a pretty average team like West Brom.

Morning all,

I was told last year that Yannick Bolasie was seriously being considered but it obviously never happened. Was again told over the weekend by the same person that interest may be reignited if Sterling moves.
Please don't slate me because you don't think he's a good enough "Marquee signing", It's only what i have been told and thought I'd share it here. I personally don't think we would need him with the players we currently have. Thanks.

I have heard this too from good sources, it would be no surprise if Liverpool were interested after the way he has dismantled our defence the past two seasons.
