Do you think perhaps de bruyne would be available at an affordable price? {Ed002's Note - de Bruyne won't be moving to Liverpool.}

Believable10 Unbelievable47

De Bruyne is going to be an important player for Chelsea this year - he will be Mourinhos new Duff on the left wing.

Siem De Jong looks very good player, why are LFC not looking at him rather than Erikson?
It looks like Strootman is NOT Man U bound as they are looking at other targets (ie Fabragas, Thiago, etc). Any chance we might be in for him? {Ed002's Note - No interest has been shown by Liverpool in either player. You and the Metro may think otherwise, but Liverpool cannot buy everyone.}

Believable8 Unbelievable31

Strootman is off to Roma!

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe because Erikson is a much better player and Utd will have a long wait for Thiago.

Agree0 Disagree1

Siem De Jong isn't that amazing.
He's good. But you'd struggle with finding a position for him.
He can play many positions, but none seem to suit him too well. The closest thing to a good fit would be CF, kind of off a main striker. He reminds me of Tim Cahill. Not a striker, better off arriving late in the box to get on to chances. But, not a good enough passer to play in the no10 role. A nowhere man

No interest from us, anyway.

Eds I'm going to mention the word Erickson but bare with me. At the end of last season it seemed the Ajax lad was target for a number of clubs and it was presumed (by a number of people, not necessarily yourselves) he would move fairly quickly. I know its still early in the transfer window but nothing seems to be happening. Do you have any insight as to why no one has (seemingly) approached Ajax yet. Is he not that good? To expensive? Have off field issues?
Would like to here what you think

kind regards

RedDan {Ed002's Note - His penchant for talking about other clubs tends to make folks nervous. It is not dissimilar to Hazard in that someone at Chelsea needed assurances that it would stop before he would OK the purchase.}

Believable19 Unbelievable14

Agree with Ed there, last year he came across as a big head . He thought at the time he could pick and choose .The last season he has gone off the boil a bit that is why he is mainly letting others do the talking this time round.

Eriksen in Suarez out

Agree2 Disagree2

He wanted a move to either of the big two in Spain.That ain't happening, probably because he ain't that good.I mean Barca just sold Thiago for a pittance for god sake!They are hardly going to spend that money on a player half as good.
So when he realizes that non of HIS preferred destinations are going to happen, he MIGHT take us into consideration! Oh thanks, but no thanks I hope we say.

Agree1 Disagree1

I can't believe people are again trying to slag off a player before we even know if he's going to sign. He's 21, just had a season where he scored 1 in 3 games played, his team won title and he impressed in the toughest CL group ever. People here are sheep. He's mentioned a few times but so does every top player. Put it this way, he's taken a ow of silence compared to our number 7. If a player is told to do one from LFC because he says he'd like to play or Real or Barca then we are in trouble. Love the group think on here sometimes. Of course he could sign for Spurs tomorrow and suddenly Ayre would be accused of bing an incompetent tortoise.

Kidder

Agree3 Disagree1

Yeah, he has talked too much about it but in fairness to the lad he has flat out said that he feels he wants a challenge somewhere else (and money too, sure) but he's also said he won't run his contract down, and he wants a move to the right club for him. Yes, he mentioned the Spainish bigs, he also mentioned BvB, and Liverpool. He's basically said he'll only move to club that he considered worth leaving Ajax for but one that will suit his football. And, whilst everyone can their own opinion of the lads ability you'd have to be mad to not want him at LFC. The lad is class. A true talent and he'd walk straight on to our first team. Cou in a year or so might be better or an equal, Gerrard was better but Stevie was a once in a life time player. The only reason Eriksen wouldn't be our best player should be sign is if the DF hangs around for a while longer.

Just wondering what is the deal about Skrtel, he seemed likely to move at one point but it now it doesn't look so certain? {Ed002's Note - Skrtel was certainly expected to leave but I am told that Csonto has told Zenit St Petersburg that his client will stay in Liverpool and it will be Agger that will leave. That seems a little surprising although it was clear that Agger wanted to hear what Monaco were putting on the table via his agent. Now it seems Barcelona may turn their attention to Agger if their preferred choice is not available. If Liverpool sell Agger or Skrtel then another centre back will be required. If not, then perhaps Ilori will be it. We will see.}

Believable5 Unbelievable38

No.Noo.No no no no! Take any defender but Agger! lol

I personally reckon both Agger and Skrtel stay and Barca sign Thiago Silva. Anyway Ed any progress on the deal for Tiago Ilori? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool seem deteremined not to pay the asking price or anywhere near - so no change.}

Agree1 Disagree0

It seems like PSG may sign Marquinhos from Roma, which may pave the for Silva to go to Barcelona so maybe Skrtel will become available again.

Agree2 Disagree0

Interesting - i'd hate to see DAgger leave but I think as an Liverpool fan he has been loyal through bad times so he maybe deserves a chance like Reina and Suarez at playing in the CL and winning league titles before he gets too old or nobody wants him.

I do wonder though if Rodgers wants him to stay maybe he should give him the Vice-Captains role because he deserves it, if Rodgers believes he is going then I don't expect him to give him the VC.

If we're not going to get Papadopolous, I would actually quite like to see Toure, Skrtel and Agger battling for the 2 CB places, knowing that we have back up in Wisdom, Kelly and maybe Ilori (if he signs). Skrtel and Agger know each other well and were looking like a formidable partnership until Skrtel got the wobbles last season, and Toure has the quality and experience that we lost with Carra!
I'd turn the attention to someone to challenge Enrique t LB if I were BR.

Agree1 Disagree0

Getting very lazy editors this reply is just a copy and paste from a while back {Ed002's Note - So what do you expect if nothing has changed? All we seem to get is bitching from the cretins who want every post given an answer, even though it is the same, or the anonymous trolling vegetables like you who expect me to waste my time writing something different even though nothing has changed. I don't have the time or inclination to do that - you are fucking lucky to get anything at all.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Ha ha ha ha ha don't piss the eds off your get ripped to pieces (and quite understandably!)

Agree0 Disagree0

Im with the Eds in that I'd rather come to this site and see a single new and interesting post every day or two than the same crap day in day out by the same people. People who have a Football Manager mindset that demands to see something new every few minutes.

Agree0 Disagree1

Skrtel needs shipping out - his heart isn't in it anymore and his performances are subpar.

here here Ed002, if people don't like the responses they can snod off

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger to stay. Skrtel out

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how Suarez is getting grief for his lack of 'loyalty', but people are saying good riddance to Skrtel because he lost his place in the team for half a season? How can we expect loyalty from players when that's the attitude, and it'll be from the same people who were crying for Henderson to be gone 12 months ago! I just hope Skrtel can emulate what Jordan did this year!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed how come you can swear at us it if we was to swear at you it would not be shown {Ed002's Note - Csonto is not a swear word, it is the name of his agent.}

if eriksen and shaquiri loan were to join lfc i'd fancy us to push on big time. lots of energy and attack minded football. whilst I think we won't get them! i'd imagine its a no brainer to at least make a bid . fail trying would be better than hesitating . is there any interest from the stocker fella from basle edd. don't hear much from him, given he had a good season in europe also
5 gold stars {Ed002's Note - Borussia Monchengladbach got as far as negotiating a deal for Stocker but they were unable to reach agreement. Enquiries were also made by Everton, Hamburg, and Werder Bremen but none put an offer on the table. Talk of interest from Bayer Leverkusen remains unconfirmed.

Believable23 Unbelievable17

Well, here i'd say, Stocker would be a waste of money.

he hasn't got the clout for the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes, loads of players that can run lots and create chances, but who is there to win the ball back in the centre of the park? We need some additional feet there too imo.

Plus, wish people would come back from la-la-land with Ericksen. Any chance of us getting him are so slim they are positively annorexic. that's not being defeatist, just realistic.

Agree0 Disagree2

There is a chance of Eriksen who I feel could be world class in the next couple of years. I think behind the scenes Liverpool FC are working hard and over the next few weeks will land 2 or 3 players that will bring smiles to our faces.

Switzerland's newspaper 'Blick' is reporting, that Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers made an inquiry about Xherdan Shakiri of Bayern Munich.
There seems to be a bid on the table of Liverpool of about 28 million CHF (19.5mil £).

But it seems, that Bayern only wants to let him go on a loan deal.

Believable39 Unbelievable36

Good player. I don't see why they wouldn't sell the have signed gotze and thiago in his posistion. 25m and him for suarez I wouldn't complain

Agree3 Disagree0

High price to be honest!

Agree0 Disagree2

£19.5m no thanks, much better players out there for that

Agree0 Disagree2

My first thought was the same - the price is really high.

but I think he has a massive potential, is skillful & creative, a power pack and would fit in Rodgers policy. kind of couthino's style with more power on the right wing.

Agree3 Disagree0

Worth every penny for me one and on par if not even better prospect than mickey

Forny

Agree0 Disagree0

Hahah no chance why would he move from Munich (trophies galore) to looserpool (no trophies) the guy isn't looking to destroy his career

Maybe so he could actually get a game and make a name for himself? person.

I'd be very happy if we signed Shaquiri. IMO we should be looking to play Coutinho in the AM role and spend the money on a versatile winger, to replace Coutinho. The money is irrelevant, not our concern, Shaquiri is young and very good and better than our current left or right attacking options. Coutinho is a beast in AM, I don't understand why we would be looking to get another other than as a back up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see it for two reasons:

1. Bayern have a boat load of matches this season, plenty for everyone to get some game time.

2. Guardiola puts Rafa in the shade with rotation, I'm not sure how many games in a row he went at Barca before playing the same team twice but it was a lot. He also averaged something like 3 changes a match.

Also I was under the impression he plays wide, why are people putting him behind Alcantara and other central players in the supposed pecking order at Bayern?

I`m always amazed by the people that think lose is spelt loose, if you want to call Liverpool Loserpool at least spell it right. You`ll still come across as a person but a slightly more educated person at least.
As for Xherdan Shaqiri, looked a great prospect at Basel, not see much of him since he went Munich but would still seem like a quality signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

His career will be destroyed sitting on a bench waiting to move
