Liverpool are confident of finally signing Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony with a new bid set to be lodged in the coming days. A new bid of about £16 Million is set to be lodged and Rodgers believes it will be enough to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Reports from Spain saying we're "hours away" from signing Song from Barcelona.
He is no doubt a good player but he disgraced himself at the world cup. His elbow to the Croatians spine was absolutely outrageous and then there was tge match fixing allegations etc. It's mainly that brutal attack though. Not sure how well it'll go down with Lovren.
He's just a more athletic Lucas which in turn makes him more versatile. A good player, but an awful person. Perhaps I'm to morally correct for modern football, I don't know :/

I think you mis-heard, Beeny. I believe the quote was "hours away from a song" - the Barcelona fans will be serenading us to a Spanish rendition of YNWA which was an agreed part of the Suarez deal.
Or the reports could read that we're an hour away from SINGING a song?
I know it was stupid and disgraceful of him at the WC but I don't think it will affect lovrens attitude towards him if he came to Liverpool

It was a low act and stupid, but I actually don't think it was that forceful. Plus he didn't connect very well with Mandzukic's back. Mandzukic made a meal of it to make sure there was no doubt about the red card. Footballer's need to be a bit tougher these days - they break a nail and they go down screaming.
Will be interesting if he arrives at LFC.

lfc won't be bidding for bony again. or even for the first time. and obviously no ties with reus from dortmund.
so I think we can all leave that for now. . .and start praying that mr sicknote aka sturridge gets wrapped up in cotton wool until january.

Can anyone explain the hold up in announcing Moreno? I've seen him posing for pictures, pictures of him training etc. But then Rodgers said it's not done yet.

A report in Sport, via TVE, claims Gil Marin said: "Reus has never been on the agenda of Atletico and his profile does not fit the current needs of the team."

Rodgers said today and it's in print on the LFC website, article named: ''Rodgers update of injured quartet''
"Young Jon Flanagan is still in rehab, but coming along very well, " Rodgers told reporters at his pre-match press conference.
"Adam Lallana is looking very well.
"Those two will probably start training with the group in the week beginning with Manchester City.
"Young Markovic is still unavailable this weekend but doing very well.

Moreno deal is done he will be unveiled on Friday and should be in the squad for the Home game against Southampton on Sunday.
