My pal's a big Stoke City supporter and he insists they will be in for Downing come January. He's probably talking BS, but I thought I would share it anyway.
That is about right, Stoke buy anybody!
£6mill and stoke have a chance of getting him. I'm sure rogers would accept that for downing.
They don't seem to like playing football so he sounds like a perfect match for them!

Not sure if he fits into Pulis' philosophy of rough-housing the opposition, hoofing it long, and parking the bus for a 0-0 draw.

we are going to TRY and spend in january. As of this moment we seem to be targeting llorente walcott and someone else. There will be lots of competition for llorente in particular. January is a long way off so it may change.

Hi Eds,
I know that we considered Leandro Daimao as a target in the past but what is the likelihood moving forward, i understand that we will face tough competition for him but he would be the ideal foil for Suarez, fit in to the style of play Rodgers wants and also in the FSG plan of buying good young players who will have good re-sale value. Thoughts please? {Ed002's Note - Daimao is not going to happen. Sorry.}

Llorente will not happen as he is too much like Carroll.
Walcott is a good chance if not it will be Zaha of Palace.
BigD {Ed001's Note - Llorente is nothing like Carroll! Clueless people assume he is because he is tall, there are no other similarities between them. Watch Llorente play and you will see a totally different player, one who provides far more to the team than just being big and strong.}
Oh Rite, i just presumed he was ed001, but either way we all know it ain't gonna happen so don't matter we will end up with Ba, Hooper or stay as we are.

Ed can u say why it wont happen is it just over the amount of cash he would cost or something else as he is still young and not really a star yet i would have thought we had a good chance to get him thanks {Ed002's Note - There is no interest from Liverpool and the price wanted is well beyond Liverpool's means.}
Also alot of teams in spain are looking for him. Barca and madrid will probably fight over him.

He is too expensive in our owners eyes. Forget players of that quality to come to liverpool anytime soon as we can't afford we will be looking players for loan or young/pontential or players who are running out of their contract(if their wages are not high)

Ed002 do you think there is any truth in the story that we have enquired about remy? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle and Lille have shown varying degrees of interest in Loic Remy but there have been no approaches to Marseille regarding Remy from Liverpool - and this is as of today. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to England but Marseille have no interest in selling cheaply. If a very good offer is made (circa 20M euros) they might be interested as they do need the money. There was discussion with Chelsea about Remy during the negotiations over Azpilicueta but it came to nothing.}

From what I have seen with my own eyes Remy Is a pile of over hyped rubbishe. I'd rather resign sinaman pongolle.

have been told by stepmother who is a structural engineer for wsp (a major firm in london) that shes heard of planning for a new stadium, not the best source i know and probably mere rumours within the industry so i am in no way sayin this is on the cards but just passing on what iv heard (i personally hope anfield is refurbished)

A brand new stadium is needed or we will end up with an eyesore like St. James Park. These ground may be big but if you think they look good, I would hate to see the dump you live in. Four different sides of a ground!! It will look awful.

Liverpool have enquired about buying Loic Remy for January.

Should have picked him up a couple of seasons ago. doubt it will happen now. heard spurs and chelsea are sniffing around him too
We looked at him late last transfer window but nothing came of it, too late I think
