I have it on god authority that lfc are only signing 1 player and it's not a goalkeeper
Klopp still has faith in karius and he will have something to prove next season
If a gk does happen it's only a number 2 so nothing for the first 11.

Origi will be back and keita an Fabinho is enough for the midfield

Clyne is back for right back
So that's two for each side

So all in all a huge mistake from lfc because by reaching the final - they believe it's enough to push on next season.

Clearly they have no idea every year gets harder
Oh well.

theyre trying/ tried to sign fekir. so your saying they're not bothering now for a cam. Its not just about the player but the position that's important.

Did God say anything about what happens when we die? Is there a purgatory?

I have it on good authority that's not true and a couple of little birdies the edit this site told all of us what the plans are.

If we have this on "God authority" then we must be signing Pope.
I'll get my coat. Apologies to all.

There’s nothing wrong with going only for 2 players.

I’m just saying for liverpool, they need more cos we have people who need a rest, like the front three - so we need quality in those departments.
And people like lallana will always be injured. hendo night so we are short really short. So I’m saying it would be a huge mistake.

No problem at all if Origi returns, the Ed's have said that Klopp wants him back to develop him, a better option as back up than Solanke at this point IMO. Maybe a loan for Solanke this summer?

Was under the impression that Clyne is possibly out the door this summer? We have a good back up in Fabinho so Clyne isn't really needed apart from being most average anyway.

Pretty certain that Liverpool know what needs to happen if they want Fekir, and the Ed's have suggested he is still wanted and expected to arrive. As is a goalkeeper and a player to cover the wide positions.

I think at least three players still to arrive, a GK, CAM and a wide player as back up.

I think there'll be 2 more. A GK of some sort and Fekir.

Not replacing Karius is a step backwards, the defence doesn't have confidence in him, I can see our defending getting desperate and players being pulled out of position to try and stop shots by not having faith in the keeper, if we only sign one player it has to be a keeper, I hope all the concussion stuff isn't a get out clause and an excuse to keep Karius.

Equally though LancasterRed, wasting money on a keeper who is no better (Such as Cillessen, Navas, Butland or Pope), would be worse. The way I see it is if we can’t or are not prepared to buy an elite level keeper, then there is point as it would be repeating mistakes made in the past.

Fowler said no such thing.

I see everyone has disagreed here but no one should question rebel reds dedication to liverpool fc.

He has God's ear and he asks him about Liverpool's transfer business. True fan.

Frankly, agree Cillessen and Navas would be no better but Butland and Pope is an improvement most definitely, my point is we are going to have to spend big to get the best, we don't have a choice, we kept faith in Mignolet for too long and there has been nothing in Karius that says he is good enough, he isn't calming, his distribution is poor ( think of how Reina used to get us on the attack) a top level striker goesf or 100 million now which is ridiculous but a keeper is just as important when needed.

Agree1 Disagree3

14 Jun 2018 15:27:16
Butland and Pope aren’t anywhere near the calibre of keeper we should be looking at. They’re not elite level and never will be. De Gea saves United 15 points a season. That’s the type we should be after. Not also rans.

14 Jun 2018 15:43:26
I think we all know we will sign more than one more player. Butland was all but done before the CL final so klopp has changed his mind from that game and decided to sign no replacement or competition for karius. Unlikely. We've been looking for a coutinho replacement from before he left so that still a priority and I'd guess fekir will be done after the world cup. Been told before that Cb and left back could be added to also if we get some sold.

It's easy guys just listen to Ed01, Ed02 and Macca for the best transfer gossip/ news. Everyone else is just guessing.

If anyone knows their stuff it’s definitely Ed002.

We all want a new keeper but if we didn’t sign another outfield player I would still be confident as we have vastly strengthened midfield and if Origi is happy to be back up striker I could live with that. He knows the system, loves Klopp and has room to improve. Plus he was reliable the 2 seasons b4 he left. Add Harry Wilson, Gomez and Mario back fit and all in all there is depth and quality throughout that squad.

Everyone needs to back off the keeper issue. Karius will come good, the abuse he is getting is very unfair.

If you look at the 2nd Bale goal, the reason he let it slip was due to slight indicision. He was primed to punch then last minute changed his mind to catch. That slight indecision has cost him dearly and the best thing about it is that he will never make that mistake again.

He will be like a new keeper next season having learnt some hard lessons last. If we do sign a keeper, it will be to replace migs and push karius for the starting spot, which is really good and will bring the best out of him.

How long did it take degea to settle. If you all remember he was getting even more abuse, but now you lot would take him in a heart beat.

Just chill and let MOTD feaver take over with the world cup.

“I have it on god authority that lfc are only signing 1 player and it's not a goalkeeper”

“If a gk does happen it's only a number 2 so nothing for the first 11”

So we may only sign a number 2 goal keeper and that’s it?
I have my doubts about this claim.

I thought Waro was referring to his post next year about the 2019-20 fixtures?!

I'm confused!

The fixtures went up on the BBC site 3 hours ago for all teams. but I like the way how Tottenham and Chelsea away in September followed by Man City at home is part of a 'fair few weeks'. we haven't even got the UCL fixtures yet, which'll add to the melee. I personally think we've got a good November and December. Let's hope all the lads come back fit and raring to go.

Waro you’ve outdone yourself lad, didn’t think you’d top those ITK starting lineups you pretended you didn’t steal off Twitter.

I'm actually pretty pleased with that!

We too often find ourselves struggling in August and falling behind. If we can't get at least 7/ 9 from our first 3 games, we shouldn't be in the running for the league.

Let's hope that they've stocked up on Sour Dough and Bitter for the home fans that day?
