Rumours regarding Coady coming back.
I think he is good but found his level for a top 10 team. Fighting for LE at best. Any truth in the rumours?

I would take Coady back but only if Matip moves on. It would only marginally (If at all) improve our strength in depth, but it would help with the home grown quota and whilst I don't think he is good enough to start, he is a leader in the dressing room. He has arguably only ever looked good in a back 3, but I think playing for Liverpool he'd raise his game to a level above what he'd play at for any other club.

It wouldn't be what I'd advise him if I was his agent though. He is captain at probably the 7th or 8th best team in the league and should stay where he is.

We won't be signing any CBs for the foreseeable future. Expect Matip will sign an extension and Lovren still has 3 years remaining on his contract. And everyone knows that VVD and Gomez will be our long term CB partnership so pointlessly adding squad players when we have so many options already within the club is gross mismanagement of club funds.

Coady left to get games and give him his dues he's turned into a great player for wolves. He's hardly going to come back to us and not be guaranteed to play. Plus we would have to pay stupid money for their captain in this window knowing we are light at CB.

I would love to see him come back and be great for us but I just don't see it happening.

I think every time he plays well we will be linked with him.

He's been playing most of the under 23 matches.

He is too good for the u23 - great passer, good game management. He looks frustrated but Im not convinced he has a future with us. Ed001 might know better.

{Ed001's Note - he did look like he might have a chance but Fabinho has taken his place I think.}

a shame i did genuinely think he had a good chance with us to atleast push for a squad player.

Ed01, that must be the ever-question for academy vs buying aye? I feel as tho a youth has to be over the top good, or at least assessed that way, in order to get a shot.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes mate and this is why I would like to see something done to force teams to look to their academies.}

Morning Ed002.

Was thinking, if Salah and his representatives are / have been attempting to engineer a move away, are the owners and those running the club not aware of this? Surely they must be, I'd be astonished if they weren't

If so, are they making provisions to replace him in the Summer? One can say the summer is a long way off but replacing someone like Salah will require some work. As we all know if a player wants to leave and there is an opportunity they will.

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Salah doing anything specific, and his representative can speak to whomever they wish - it is no different from another players agent talking with Liverpool, Arsenal or anything else. I am not aware of any club looking to buy Salah in the summer at this time - it was seemingly a begging activity which would see Salah's future opportunities removed if Real Madrid were to buy the forwards they are looking at. Right now, I would not worry too much.}

Seriously Edd 002, an extremely well balanced answer, to a much too frequently and unoriganal question.

{Ed002's Note - It is simply the situation as I understand it right now.}

Hey Dorgie, how did you manage to get 3 thumbs down for saying Thank You!

Gosh there are some lemons on here.

If we analyse the way a thank you is delivered, we can start to ascertain why people may deliver a 'thumbs down'.

In years gone by, it was accepted that a nod, a tip of ones bowler hat or, as people expressed themselves more liberally, even a wink would be enough to acknowledge appreciation.

As times passed, expressing gratitude, evolved into a verbal exchange using the words 'thank you', which became shortened to 'thanks' or 'cheers'.

However, in this digital age, things developed further, with people going all out in expressing their appreciation. Phrases like 'Totes amazing', or wholly over the top comments meant that simply 'thanks' was of a bygone age.

So there we have it, I suspect the thumbs down was a result of vegan millenials passing by on their digital device and not recognising this more traditional way of expressing gratitude.

If you have read this far, then you a totes amazing and a far more superior being than me. I hereby tip my hat to you. Thanks.

That should have covered everything and everyone there.
