Hi eds. hope all is well.
Quick question, hope you might have an inkling. I would assume the squad needs drastically trimming down in the summer, especially in the striker department.
My question is, with BR seemingly now realising he needs an apparent "plan B" do you think it's likely that one of either Lambert or Mario will be let go, if not both? I consider Borini already gone tbh. I only ask as Mario seems to at least trying recently, and Lambert seems out the picture altogether.
Thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - I think Lambert would probably be the firs out of the door. Others need to go to make space for Origi and Ings. Balotelli is keen to stay a few years if other options are not available.}

So Ed, you're basically saying there's a good chance Ings will be a Liverpool player next season? I'd take that!

{Ed002's Note - See above.}

If Ed002 just said Rickie may have to make way for Origi and Ings, that implies that Ed002 believes there's a good shout Ings will be a Liverpool player in the summer!

I would suspect we'd try to move on Aspas and Borini for sure and perhaps Lambert as well. Not sure about Yesil, but he probably needs to move on as well.

Sturridge, Ings, Balotelli, Origi seems like a fair amount of depth to me.

RDL, i would be happy with Sturridge, Ings, Origi and Balo as well but only if it is the Balo that we saw on the pitch in the last two games. Ings and Origi have little experience on the big stage and pairing them with an established goal scorer will take the pressure off them.

hi Ed002 regards balo, you say he maybe keen to stay does this co-inside with his last to games has the penny dropped. what do you think or no? I think he could be a good player for us certainly looks good with sturridge. also is brendon starting to like him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool want to sell him but are asking far too much money. His agent says the only other option is for him to stay. I think the club need to decide what they want to do with all of these strikers.}

I think Mario has started to improve recently more because we have a proper striker back on the pitch. Mario is best played in a support role as opposed to being the main man. As long as Sturridge is there, he will continue to look good.

My personal preference would be to offload Mario, Indian Buzzer, but I can't see anyone really wanting him so I think he may be here another year.

hello Ed002, is that 'far too much money' more than what we paid for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The amount is unimportant, but it is far too much. Liverpool will have a better idea about Ings in a week or two - Moyes is trying to get him to sign a pre-contract.}

We've signed or are about to sign Hugo Logan from Mk Dons he'll be in and around the u18s apparently

Hi Ed002,
I'm a little bored in heathrow at the minute so thought I'd ask a quick question. In regards lacazette, have Liverpool shown no interest in the player whereas I saw other clubs had, Roma and arsenal for example?
Or is there another reason for the certainly this early that he will not be moving to liverpool?
I'm not yurning after him or anything, just bored and as I'm sure we all do when we're bored, our minds turn to Alexandre lacazette!

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Lacazette has attracted interest from Liverpool and many other sides. Lyon are aware of interest in both Lacazette and Fekir and are unwilling to let both leave. Lyon are particularly difficult team to negotiate with but had accepted that Lacazette would be allowed to leave in the summer and have held discussions with agents and representatives of another club about him. However, there is now a push by Lyon to reverse that position - keeping Lacazette and selling Fekir. All may change again by the summer but Lacazette will not be moving to Liverpool.}

14 Feb 2015 13:15:36
Eds what makes you so sure we won't make a move for him price?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No it is more than price.}

14 Feb 2015 13:41:16
Hi Ed, can you say what the other factors are?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - They are already in discussions with two agents who represent two other clubs and indeed have held discussions with one of those clubs. Liverpool are looking elsewhere and are not in a position financially to buy Lacazette. I have explained the issues the club has financially and with FFP, the investigation, the withheld prize money etc. - for reasons unknown to me you don't seem to be able to grasp any of it.}
