eds,
are we still set to sign finnish kid (pohjanpalo)
he looks like a star in the making who knows the way to the net!
hope we sign him soon ! {Ed002's Note - Borussia Monchengladbach have put an offer on the table for Pohjanpalo and I understand that Rubin Kazan and Napoli are still very keen but Bayer Leverkusen look set to make a deal.}

Do you mean a Finnish kid or a kid that can finish?

Would Liverpool be able to buy Arkadiusz Milik in January and then loan him to a team like Bayer Leverkusen (who are also interested in him) for the remainder of the season or would that contravene a UEFA ruling? Thanks in advance. {Ed002's Note - No, that is not allowed.}

Hi, then how did Courtois and Thorgan Hazard do exactly that? {Ed002's Note - Yes, sorry - if it is to a none English team it is allowable. Regardless, it won't be happening with Milik whose move seems determined now.}

hi ed

I was wondering whethet there is any reported interset in Kurt Zouma(Centre Back).
French newspaper lequipe a reliable paper but want to be sure on whether it is true {Ed002's Note - He plays for St Et and much is expected of him. Arsenal looked at him about a year or so ago. Manchester United in the summer and Manchester City now.}

Boot room blarney - well Chelsea are another big club on the trail of Walcott,i wonder which club he will choose as being a liverpool supporter- any guesses ?

Obviously Walcott will choose Liverpool because there a much bigger club than Chelsea

If he follows the example set by many players recently, he'll go where the most money is offered - so not to Liverpool!

I agree he will go for the most money offered , and not move out of London !!

Chelsea. money.

Chelsea are not a big club. They are a little club with a rich owner. Pereniel no marks until Abramovich. They do not have the worldwide reputation of Liverpool and never will have.

He will probably follow the money like they all do...

Money talks, so prob rubbishty or chelski

I think he will go to chelsea even tho there would be little chanve of him playing up top well i look at it this way if he does go to chelsea it just shows hes only interested in the money im not saying i wouldnt like walcott at the club because i would but if he chooses chelsea over a team his family support maybe he werent the right player for us sad to say but hopefully he will prove me wrong i personally dont he will end up a reds player i thimk like Ed002 said he will sign a new contract or go to city or chelsea {Ed002's Note - From my perspective I still think that a new deal coul be agreed and a new contract signed by Walcott. However, in January, if no deal has been agreed he will be able to talk with the likes of Juventus who have apparently shown tentative interest. There remains the thought that Liverpool would be interested in taking him, although they cannot speak to him without the club agreeing before the end of the season. As we stand right now I remain unconvinced of Liverpool's interest. Arsenal can easily stonewall a move in January so I don't know if Walcott will even be available for a move then - nor what other options he would have if he were. Deciding to leave Arsenal may not enhance his career, particularly if he wants to stay in England.}

"Deciding to leave Arsenal may not enhance his career, particularly if he wants to stay in England.".

Your answer Ed 02 is perfect until that sentence above. How exactly will a move elsewhere not "enhance" his career. Look, a footballer needs two fundamental things to be happy, one is his salary cap which must be to a degree both the club and him find acceptable which of late Arsenal are nowhere near matching as much as you seem to say so. Also consider that Oxlade Chamberlain and Ryo are both ready to take Walcott's place should he leave. Another thing he needs is to be played the way he likes and by that i mean his preffered position. Walcott would never get that position at Chelsea, moreover considering that Falcao seems dead cert to join. Infact, it is my belief that Sturridge will join us, allowing Chelsea to operate with two strikers in Torres and Falcao i.e. Torres wont be sold. Walcott may challenge Torres who is on-off, but Falcao arriving just kills everything, so much so that even RVP and Rooney cant touch him!!. Now at Arsenal he may get the chance, but IF Wenger is so reluctant to play him there, why must he agree to a new contract??.
He may want to stay in England but if he a brain which surely he does, then he must consider leaving London...That Ed, is what i believe is going on. Finally, IF he is a born and bred LFC fan he will know where to go.... {Ed002's Note - The reason I wrote the sentence is that it is my view that his opportunities at the likes of Juventus and, in England, at the likes of Chelsea or Manchester United would be more limited than they are at Arsenal - which is something you seemingly go on to agree with. As for a move to Liverpool, perhaps if an acceptable offer is made then it might be something he wishes to do. I am by no means convinced that is the case at present. As for his "salary cap" - I don't mention anything of it and therefore do not understand your comment.}

With all this talk of the deal for Ince being close to completion, would you think that there is any chance of us signing Matt Philips as well? Or potentially in the summer

Red Head {Ed002's Note - I understand from Ed001 that Liverpool were indeed looking at Matt Phillips as a possibility in the summer and there was interest from Reading as well. However, I am not aware of any interest in the player right now.}

I'm from Blackpool and watch them on a regular basis and Matty Phillips is average at best. He has 2 -3 good games then does nothing for the next 10 games, very inconsistent. Meanwhile Tom Ince performs week in week out at a good standard but I'm not sure if he's ready for the premier league just yet.

Let's raid Blackpool hey

Personally I would be happy with Tom ince and Daniel sturridge. Demba ba seems to be another target but I would prefer sturridge. I see demba being the type of player that flops at a bigger club.

14 Dec 2012 21:49:53
Can't believe you would pick a very average player like sturridge over ba. Sturridge has never had a goal scoring record. Couldn't even get in the chelsea side when torres was miss firing says it all ,another overpriced English player. when will we learn ,we wasting 80m on British players under Kenny. We could have got falcoa, turan and mata for that money far superior players . We should go all out for Llorente by giving him a big signing on fee to keep his wages inside are wage structure.

I think Demba could be as good as Samuel Eto at his peak - but that won't fit our current play so it's no use thinking about it. I think he would be a good signing for PSV or Athletico Madrid - would be a top player for either.

LOL so your saying sturridge is a better buy than Ba the overrated player who cant even get into the chelsea first team. Get your facts right mate!

Also don't mind ince back he was quality but we need a top class player LIKE falcao but not him because he wont come.

Also would like to see more of yesil even though he is young he can score goals the kid!

Just being realistic. Llorente will not come to liverpool, due to the fact that he want to be playing champions league. I doubt he's even being considered. Walcott will probably go warm a bench at man city, Chelsea or continue warming th bench at arsenal. Hunterlaar has already indicated where he wants to go (which is not liverpool). Demba ba no doubt is an option but I would prefer the versatility of sturridge considering he can play anywhere along the front 3. Demba ba cannot, and never in a million years can he be compared to Samuel eto. Get real lads. Sturridge and ince I will be happy with. I know there are better options but rogers seems to want to play it safe.

How many more clubs will sturridge flop at?

I dont know how you can say sturridge has flopped at any club did fantastic for bolton on loan scored a goal in 2 games at chelsea last year plaed in a less favoured posistion hardly can be called a flop but whatever floats your goat

If we signed ba which i dont think for 1 minute he would pass a medical his knee would probably go 8 games in then all we would hear is stupid rodgers taking a risk like that plus hes not suited to the way we play but could do well i personally think sturridge is a better shout would rather see us make a effort to sign bony or welliton

17 Dec 2012 18:08:00
Ba would flop at a bigger club? Good job hes not bein linked with a bigger club then

14 Dec 2012 18:28:43
Hi eds, is welliton of spartak a target? I don't know how the permit situation works but this lad is class, fits the br style and is available for much less than the dreamers target cavani ect....? J {Ed002's Note - Welliton will be available at the right price but I don't see that Liverpool have any interest in him at this time. Interestingly Dortmund were interested about a year ago and proposed a player exchange involving Lewandowski last January, but that never happened. I know that there has been interest from Metalist Kharkiv and from Istanbul BB in Turkey, but would suspect that an acceptable offer would see him move to England, Germany or Spain in preference.}

14 Dec 2012 18:01:25
eds any chance of Isaac Cuenca? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it. Cuenca has just returned from injury and is subject to enquiries from Valencia (loan to buy), Malaga (buy) and Granada (loan).}

14 Dec 2012 16:26:29
ED's I thought the interest in Ince was dependant on sterling a contract? I seen 1 of the ed's mention that he has signed his contract. Would that mean Ince was being brought in for cover/ squad rotation player?

I like Ince and was sad to see him go so hope it is true just not for too much wonga.

Thanks
Rk {Ed002's Note - I do not see the Ince situation being dependent on Sterling's contract - other Eds might do. My understanding is taht Sterling has an offer but has not yet agreed to it or signed it - but there is no immediate rush. There is no Liverpool interest in Wonga, he looks like he will be moving elsewhere.}

Wonga...? Who's wonga?
Singred

Who would you prefer, sturridge for £12m or bent for £12m?

No chance of wonga what so ever hes exactly what we need right now would be awesome in a front 3 of saureaz sterling and wonga fsg fault should go all out to make sure we get wonga

You dopes, hes on about to much money (wonga is a slang for money) he means he hopes we dont spend to much ince dear me

I enjoy your wit Ed002. Just a pity not everybody is sharp enough to realise when youre havin a little laugh :)

I just do not believe it, made me chuckle.
Robbie

Sorry the wonga advert has clearly done a good job and yes to all this confused it is money.

Rk

We don't want greedy Far Eastern players, so Wonga's out of the question.

14 Dec 2012 15:53:10
Is it true that we are enquiring about MIROSLAV KLOSE? Italien media say so , what do you think ed? {Ed002's Note - Sounds like Twitter to me, but no I am not aware of Liverpool making such an enquiry.}

I think klose would be an excellent addition to our squad ,just who we need ,hope we get him -SALLY-

Liverpool are definitely not interested in Klose and have made no contact with Lazio regarding any players recently.

14 Dec 2012 15:50:47
Any chance of a pre contract agreement for Sanchez in January? {Ed002's Note - None - he is not out of contract in the summer.}

14 Dec 2012 15:08:21
Hello Eds,
I know LFC need a striker but why do people keep on dreaming about Cavani come Jan? I`d be in deep shock if he was to arrive, or Llorente for that matter. I believe that Sturridge is the most likely striker to come. But I hope for two more quality players to arrive. Don`t know who, just hoping for good players. I`ll be happy if Sterling signs a contract, that will be a good Jan transfer. {Ed002's Note - It was a spoof article on Twitter that people have taken to be true so it is not so much dreaming as folks being misled.}

14 Dec 2012 15:07:40
So as Macca has just posted and Ed002 has said, it looks like out 2 transfer targets will be signed come the 1st week of the window, in Ince & Sturridge, i am happy for these two as they are young both English have pace and know where the goal is, we desperately needed cover and more attacking options in the final 3rd so well done to Liverpool FC

BigD

If true about Sturridge (and I'm going to throw Walcott into the same pot), then very clearly...nothing much has changed with LFC.

Terrible reflection on management if the best they can come up with is Sturridge when it is plain to see how selfish and disruptive (referring to his on-field activities only) he is.

Same old lazy, unimaginative, go-for-the-obvious scouting and assessment of talent we have been plagued with for the past several years. Do we really need to pay mangagement and a scouting staff to come up with names like Sturridge and Walcott?

Overpriced...overhyped..underperforming (if they haven't realized their potential by now...got news for you...they won't. Anyone, anticipating a dramatic change in form from what we have already seen from Sturridge or from Walcott just because they would be wearing LFC colours is dreaming. Stuff like that rarely happens at the ages they are at) There is a reason Chelsea is willing to let Sturridge go. There is a reason Arsenal don't want to hold on to Walcott at any price.

Signing these two, will be yet another clear case of more good money thrown out of the LFC window...added to the sums lost on Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Adam, Cole, et al in recent times.

Fans have no right to be complaining aboutLFC not having money or being unable to compete with the Mancs or Chelsea...no right at all. We have had money and we have spent it...the problem is the people in charge have spent very, very, very poorly. I mean £35 million on Carroll...really??...stupidity of the highest order.

Sturridge and Walcott will be more of the same. Why do we keep chasing after other clubs' rejects?

It would be unbearable to watch a season of fumbles and bumbles and poor finishing from Walcott running at 100 mph but, in fact, going absolutely nowhere.

As for Sturridge, how frustrating will it be to watch him shoot over the bar when Suarez or Stevie will be in a wide open position? ...and he has the nerve to demand a wage close to £100k per week. Really?

There are players out there that would more than adequately fit the bill. Most importantly, they are team players, they are hungry, they take pride in what they do and they will move LFC forward...not just fill a place on the field like Sturridge and Walcott. Honestly, how do they not feel guilty collecting a pay packet based on their performances to date?

It's the job of management and scouting to come up with these players...the hidden gems...not just take the easiest path and go for the obvious names. That is pure laziness.

This transfer window will be one of the most important periods in our club's recent history...LFC management don't screw it up! {Ed002's Note -

Really all that because you don't approve of sturridge he could come in and do a fantastic job last season he did well played out of position the season before at bolton was quality for them played through the middle cant remember the exact amount of goals but was a good few in low amount of games at least 1 in 2 games thats exactly the type of player we should be looking at and can improve only young plenty of scope for improvement i wont be 1 to say support no matter what but if he does come at least give the lad a chance the last thing he will need after a move to a new club is fans on his back after 65 minutes because he hasn't scored a hat trick give him time lets see what he can do im not his biggest fan but ill reserve judgement until iv gave the lad at least half a season to adjust he deserves longer but it seems like fans are going to be against him before he even puts on a lfc top this is only relevant if he signs but its looking possible

Sturridge might come to be good for us, but simply I don't see it. As the OP said he is overhyped. I believe him to be in the same bracket as Downing. Before he came we were so anxious to see his crosses and assists. He was a failure and I believe the same will be with Sturridge.
But if it is a player we will get I hope we will also get a strong name to compensate if Sturridge fails. Yes this window and the window in the summer are the most important for our future.

14 Dec 2012 14:59:11
Philipp Hosiner from Austria Wien looks a great shout do eds know if theres any interest?

WickklowRed {Ed002's Note - There is interest but not from Liverpool.}

14 Dec 2012 14:52:12
My source has told me that the owners are giving BR limited funds unti the summer and told him to use it wisely so he planning these according to him,
henderson off to the championship on loan not sure were he says
Joe cole to west ham 2-3m
downing will stay until the summer unless liverpool can find a left back
he also says liverpool are chasing some ukranian called milvesky whos a striker availible cheap
his other targets include mertens, Lallana and suiljeman (spelling sorry) and left back who hes not sure about yet

Why would henderson go to a championship club on loan no matter what some fans think hes a good player and im sure theres a good few premier league clubs would take him straight away why not send him to scottish third division for some experiance really championship club lol

Ridiculous post. even if we were to send henderson out on loan there would be at least 6 premier league clubs looking to take him stop spouting nonsense and making stuff up

So hes chasin a left back but hes not sure who it is yet!absolutely ridiculous post

You have been told before that Lallana is not for sale, not in this window and doubtful further forward. If you have to post rubbish at least make it for someone you could afford-if there are limited funds available why include a "target" that is above your budget? Even when Suarez signs for Saints in January to play with his pal Ramirez, you will still not be able to afford Lallana. LOL

Lmao probably the worse post ever! made my day

Saints 4-Vanilla 1
Liverpool 1- Vanilla 3

Clearly Lallana to stay at Saints, Suarez to link up with him in January. LOL

Hey eds,

I can't help but get the feeling this whole Sturridge situation could fall flat on its face. I don't have facts or anything substantial, only the fact that Liverpool don't like to announce who they are after. The media is pumping it up as usual which makes it more annoying. I for one really rate him and would luv him in our red shirt but just wondering if any of the eds or public look at it from the same point of view as me? Thank you {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has not announced anything about Sturridge. It was me who told you weeks ago that they had approached Chelsea via his agent.}

No club likes to announce who there after its all part of the transfer dance

14 Dec 2012 15:01:22
It looks like Ince is nearly done..

Cheers

Macca
{Ed033's Note - Confirmed as the real Macca

14 Dec 2012 15:29:11
Is it just me or does the return of Macca just warm your heart. i've missed him on this site :)

How many people are gonna be happy with this signing...i'm gonna say Nada...

14 Dec 2012 15:30:44
Macca what are your thoughts on the (likely) return on Ince? Do you feel he is a good purchase?

Dan.

14 Dec 2012 15:33:40
it's good that we're getting the transfers done quick Macca! We'll move up the premier league table now lol :D

KrishnaYNWA

14 Dec 2012 15:33:52
Cheers Macca. Good to hear from you mate.

Mighty reds

Should be going for better players than him as don't think he is going help us for top 4 push especially at prices going about...

Seriously! I thought wed aim for a proven goal scorer in the prem such as demba ba who would be cheap or even berbatov think he would be a great buy

What are u doing...slow roasting him in the oven...

Thatracoonstolemybacon

14 Dec 2012 15:32:16
Cheers Macca, any news on Walcott?

14 Dec 2012 15:35:56
Macca, Does us being close to getting Ince mean that contract talks have failed with Raheem?

Thatracoonstolemybacon

14 Dec 2012 15:36:16
Cheers Macca, Info appreciated as always.

What is the financial situation with this Ince thing ed002 ?
It's a weird one, sell him and then buy him back a few months later !
Liverpool's transfer policy is all the over the shop.
Should this one be laid at Ian Ayre's door, or Kenny's ?
Simple Simon {Ed002's Note - (1) There is nothing complex financially. Liverpool have to make an offer to his club and make an offer to the player and if both are acceptable the transfer can go ahead if everyone agrees. (2) He left at the end of the season before last, not a few months ago. (3) If he is a player that Rodgers wants then I don't see any issues with the transfer policy. (4) Why are you looking to blame someone.}

If he can get his form from the Championship and use it for us in the Premiership he could be a massive player for us, him and Sterling on the wings pace just hope Ince finds it easier to score than Sterling has

Do you mean a deal to sign Ince is almost completed?! {Ed002's Note - As opposed to?}

OK ed002,
Got a decent car you'd like to sell ?
A nice mustang or something ?
I'll give you $1000 for it. If you want it back in a year, it's yours for $10,000.
Deal ?
Simple Simon {Ed002's Note - If you truly don't understand that Ince may well have improved since he moved to Blackpool and that is why Liverpool are interested then there is very little hope for you.}

I've got no problem with Ince, ed002.
But isn't that what loans are for ?
Or the occasional cameo in the first team ?
Simple Simon {Ed002's Note - My understanding is that was not what he was looking for.}

Simple Simon

I always thought that these usernames were nothing more than a thump to the keyboards for the purposes of getting a comment approved quicker.

I'm beginning to believe that in this case, if your name really is Simon, then your username is a more than fitting description.

Here is a better comparison to the Ince situation.

I sold you some shares in my company for £1000 2 years ago. They were valued at £1000 at the time because the company was only beginning and was not making major sales.

Your input in to the company however has added value to the shares, much like Blackpool has developed Ince as a player.

Two years on and i want a larger share of the company, however the value of those shares have gone up due to the success of the said company.

You are selling your shares for £5000 i am more than willing to pay that amount because even though i sold them to you for cheaper, i understand that the value has gone up.

I see no problem in Liverpool selling a player, him developing at another club and then Liverpool wanting him back, sepecially as it is under new management.

I am interested in buying your £1000 Mustang though.

Why have an Academy then mate ?
Why not have a system whereby promising youth players are promoted to the first team ala Suso, Wisdom and Sterling ?
Or perhaps we should sell Sterling, let him develop for the next couple of years and then try to buy him back at £35 million or something ?
Simple Simon - the Steak & Ale pieman. {Ed002's Note - Is it so difficult to grasp that he wanted to leave for first team football?}

Ed002 was it you who said manchester united had interest in ince too only reason i am asking is people saying hes no good just trying to say surely if man u were interested in him he must have something going for him iv only seen him 3 times since his move iv always been impressed with him always the standout player for blackpool even if it is championship the championship has quite high standard of play right now {Ed002's Note - It was me.}

Thanks pal , keep us posted really respect your info , have you heard anymore about walcott ?..............andy.

Ed002,
No it isn't difficult to understand that he wanted to leave for first team football.
But is he gonna get that regularly now ?
Is he gonna play every week ?
No - understudy sub, and..wait for it..occasional cameo.
Simple Simon {Ed002's Note - I would think it will be a question he would ask during negotiations. I would be surprised if the answer contained any commitment from the club. He can then decide.}

His dad is a bit of a chap no doubt, but this kid is the real deal. The Championship is as good or better than some of the leagues outside England, Spain, Germany or Italy. Ince is the best player in the Championship by a country mile. If we were buying some top young unproven talent from a lesser league like France or Holland, you'd all be happy.

14 Dec 2012 18:47:49
Wow! Cheers Macca!

Jack D.

14 Dec 2012 18:48:20
Cheers Macca - it had crossed my mind that Blackpool would have liked to keep hold of Ince for the remainder of the season, especially as they had the option of a further year on his contract and also as he's been their best player by far this season, to keep hold of him hopefully to give Bpool a fighting chance of reaching the play off's.

Do you think it possible LFC could tie up the deal with Ince remaining at Bpool for the rest of the season, or do you see him arriving in Jan.

Cheers - JJ42

14 Dec 2012 18:52:56
Alright Macca! I heard the same yesterday and posted it on here last night. Can you confirm if its for 6m and if so does that include the 35% from the sale future sale agreement.

Dan

14 Dec 2012 18:53:14
Thanks Macca. Will look forward to the signing with cautious optimism.
Davey Liver

14 Dec 2012 18:53:57
I personally would be surprised if Macca has got this one right - unless there was some form of condition in his sale.

A number of reasons:-

Ince will not improve our squad, or he would not have been sold.

Cannot see Blackpool wanting to do any business with Liverpool following the Adam fiasco

I feel his father may influence him from returning following him being discarded, especially if the other clubs allegedly interested follow that interest up.

Rodolfo obviously didn't think he would make it in the PL.

Ed002 - he actually left Liverpool officially in August 2011. He did have a 6 month loan spell at Notts County the previous season. {Ed002's Note - So you agree with me that he left at the end of the season before last. Do you know what season this is now? Some of you are really hard work.}

14 Dec 2012 19:25:25
Whats the situation with Raheem Sterling? {Ed002's Note - There is no situation with Sterling.}

14 Dec 2012 19:25:40
Cheers Macca any idea on the fee? Dubred

Charlie adam situation you mean after that we loaned them 2 players i can think of and they bought some of our youngsters of us for a fair price im sure they love doing buisness with liverpool

15 Dec 2012 07:31:27
thats fine as long as he doesnt bring his dad, sterling suso ince and suarez looks exciting with lucas sitting behind we just need a cool headed finisher, how i wish fowler was 19 again

14 Dec 2012 14:32:13
Sturridge has 6 months left on his contract in Jan. Matty W {Ed002's Note - No. 18 months.}

Sorry ED's but it's 6. {Ed002's Note - No Matty, you have been misinformed. You will have to trust me on this.}

I wish everyone would stop going on a out Sturridge he is terrible

There is no public record of any contract extension anywhere - CFC always publish contract extensions via their official site. His original deal expires 6 months from now. {Ed002's Note - "No public record" eh? I really don't care if you believe me or not.}

14 Dec 2012 14:02:02
The link to Gary Hooper seems to have gone cold. Ed do we still maintain any interest in him or have we moved on to other targets? Personally, I would be happy with him Sturidge this January. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has moved on to another target by all accounts.}

Celtics managed to get into knockout round. I think that might be a factor.

14 Dec 2012 13:51:57
Ed1 or Ed2 please. Cavanis agent says he will be talking to us and Arsenal. With Suarez and Coates already at the club do you think he will move to us in January? {Ed002's Note - No, Cavani will not be moving to Liverpool in January.}

How many times will this Question be answered :(
It has been asked repeatedly and answered repeatedly (mostly by ED002)

Any chance in Summer Ed? {Ed002's Note - No.}

14 Dec 2012 12:22:23
We have shifted up to favourites to sign Fernando Llorente in January, I know this does not mean much and he has said he would like to wait till June, but surely his club will be trying to ship him off if they can. Do you believe there is a chance we could move for him or do you believe that he is definitely going to wait till June or elsewhere will be his eventual club {Ed002's Note - My opinion remains unchanged about the interest from clubs in Llorente.}

Cheers Ed002, I think he would be the perfect striker for us having watched him, his touch is good for such a big man and I think Suarez could work round him well, hopefully the case changes and he does want the early move and we could tempt him as I believe he could definitely help us finish top 4 looking at the state of how the league is going at the moment

14 Dec 2012 12:22:14
Hi Eds.
Fernando Llorente is now 11/8 from yesterday's 8/1 to join us. Something new about him? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. The feeling is that he will sit it out to the summer - but he can of course sign a pre-contract agreement in January. Note that odds are also adjusted by the amount wagered.}

"Ed002's Note - odds are also adjusted by the amount wagered."

That's an interesting way of putting it. Surely the amount wagered is the major thing that effects the odds, unless you are suggesting that the bookmakers have insider knowledge, which would be illegal, no? {Ed002's Note - There was no hidden messages there. Odds are set initially on the bookmaker's assessment of the probability of something happening. They are then adjusted according to new information and the amount wagered.}

Didn't something similar happen with Ribery a few season ago?

Thought juventus were nailed on to get him maybe its time for the rumour mill to start gatering pace now.Tommy Irish Red

Some person has probably just put a grand on him to join Liverpool

Hi eds, been reading that we are interested in doing a deal of some sort for Alexis Sanchez? Is there any truth in this at all? because it would be amazing if there was!

Thanks

Gaz {Ed002's Note - I do not expect Alexis Sanchez to leave Barcelona in January.}

Hi eds, just a quick thought have we previously looked at ben arfa or looking at him now as a target, still fairly young which BR likes great technical ability and good engine and a eye for goal.we could play him up top in a ben arfa walcott suarez, and also can play a deeper role from midfield,newcastles valuation of him might b high but surely we could part exchange? Downing and 10m or henderson and 10m, or if west ham don't want to sign AC in the summer we could do a straight swap for him with ben arfa, also what are the chances of us landing danny rose,think he'd be a great addition and for cheap, would love 2no your thoughts on this.thanx {Ed002's Note - Ben Arfa is not a player that Liverpool has shown an interest in. And why would Newcastle be interested in Downing? If Downing goes anywhere then perhaps back to Middlesbrough is the best bet.}

Why on earth would anyone want us to sell Henderson and certainly not for 10 million !

Now Ben Arfa would be making a statement...absolute quality. What a pair he and Suarez would make!

Dear Santa,

I have been a good boy this year. For Christmas (or shortly thereafter) I would like Ben Arfa! I will follow-up with a request for a proper striker in the summer.

Thanks Santa!

morning eds

any truth about fulhams interest in henderson?

thankyou

bigW {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest although toward the end of the summer window Henderson's agent was told he could find a new club for him.}

Okie dokie ed thanks for the reply have a nice day

bigW

So eds is it not true that Fulham accepted a deal regarding a part exchange involving Henderson for Dempsey? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Fulham accepting such a deal.}

Has LFC's stance on Hendo changed since? He seems to have moved ahead of Sahin in the pecking order and has done well the last few games

Henderson can do everything allen can do rodgers should of just waited dont get me wrong allen is a young player and will get better but so will henderson we could of using that 15 million on a forward,mark

Yup, I think Hendo had played himself into BR's plan.

Henderson is improving game by game he is staying

I haven't heard anything about huntelaar or llorente recently, will they be moving elsewhere in europe or do we have a shot, since they both seems as if they're not signing new contracts and so wouldn't be too expensive and could make the difference in pushing for europe {Ed002's Note - There is a very good chance that Huntelaar will move in January. For now it looks like Llorente will bide his time through to the summer and leave at the end of his contract.}

There is a rumour amongst the Madrid fans that Sahin will be allowed to stay at Anfield come the summer if an acceptable offer is received. A replacement has already been found and they are worth on the deal.

I did post about the Sahin deal previously before it happened and got shot down as everyone linked him to Spurs due to bad reporting in the press.

Again my source is the same, the every consistent Madrid season ticket holder.

Lanarth

Mourinho gave an interview recently saying Sahin's loan to Liverpool will ensure Madrid receive good money in the Summer when Madrid come to selling him.

Whether we or Dortmund or whoever buy him in the Summer, it's evident he hasn't a place at Real any more.

I'd like us to buy him. A player of his proven ability would enhance our midfield, once he gets over the cultural shock of the pace and directness of the premier league.

Why would we want him

No thank you. Funds could be better spent elsewhere.

~Fresh

It seems Sahin wants to play in a DMF role.

I can't see Sturridge moving to liverpool.
He is Chelsea's only other available striker.
With Lampard and Cole both on there way out, Chelsea's homegrown list will look a little low.
They won't want to sell to a rival unless of course we pay stupid money.
Brendan wanted him on loan in the summer, I don't think Brendan rates him as much, he was far more willing to throw £12m at borini.
From Sturridge's point of view he will be a sub here as well, if he does play then its wide rotating with borini/sterling exc...
It will be more likely Sturridge looks for a team that give him champs league and a starting place, like arsenal maybe?
Sturridge has a well known attitude and ego, will Brendan mind that, will the supposed senior players mind that?

Just my thoughts, your welcome to comment on, I just feel this is in no way a done deal, just a option being considered. {Ed002's Note - It has gone rather further than "an option being considered". Chelsea will not stand in the way of Sturridge leaving.}

Well ed are there any other clubs targeting Sturridge? I am sure Chelsea would much prefer to sell him elsewhere? {Ed002's Note - Nobody else has recently (since last January) made an approach to Chelsea about Sturridge. Chelsea won't care at all where he is sold to if he leaves.}

In all honesty, the word 'home-grown' appears askew when you're talking about chelsea. rephrase? lol

KrishnaYNWA {Ed002's Note - That's a very embarrassing and stupid post.}

Hello Eds,
Any truth in us looking at Arkadiusz Milik (18 yr old Polish striker) ?
has a very good scoring record at such a young age and has been compared to robert lewandowski. I say now is the the time to get him. {Ed002's Note - Arkadiusz Milik has attracted the attention of Hannover, VVV Venlo, Everton and Udinese. However, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are best placed to take the player in January.

Totally agree that now the time to strike, let him play in tgeyd reserves for a season and filter him in, much cheaper than buying him in 2years once he's proven

Ince for 6m is a done deal.

Dan

Can't see ince coming back, heard off a lot of people him and his father were hated at the club because they are jumped up dicks!

14 Dec 2012 12:28:18
Is that fee before or after the '35% discount' we had placed in his contract when we 'sold' him for '£250,000'?

The apostrophes by no means indicate sarcasm ;)

I'm not rubbishing your rumour btw mate, I know there is well documented interest from Liverpool FC regarding Ince, I'm just struggling to comprehend how people can believe the sell on clause!

YNWA! (Adam) {Ed002's Note - Ince was not sold for £250k.}

I'm not to sure if its before or after the 35% to be honest but I will try and find out. People will say he's not coming but I guarantee 100% he will be a liverpool player by 1st February 2013

Dan

Not for £6m! Why would he be sold to Liverpool at a fee way below what other clubs would pay? Do you think Blackpool run a charity shop?

Photo leaked of Swansea Pre printed DOWNING jersey all over twitter and Facebook anyone heard anything or is it a wind up?

14 Dec 2012 00:26:38
Swansea fan whose last name is Downing, got a personalised shirt?

Swansea seem to buy relatively cheap players, and then these players excel when given the chance........same can't be said for Downing, so I'd say its a massive pile of BS. other teams just have a better eye for a decent player that doesn't have an over inflated price tag.

Downing for Dyer?

JJB Staff Member on a wind up? Cardiff branch probably...

If its on Twitter & Facebook it must be true

23, i guess Situ isn't in Swansea's plans if true then, I doubt it though.

Yes, because its common to be able to see the inside labelling through the transfer lettering of the name as you can in that picture. Thats one lousy photoshop job

Have it on good authority that sterling and wisdom will both sign new contracts by the end of the week!
Gary

Your authority is late...Sterling signed yesterday but no news has been released as yet. A bit bizarre though because they did do the Brad announcement yesterday.
