Hey Eds, we haven't heard anything about sakho. Haven't seen him in any training photos lately either. Is he on the way out? Honestly had kinda forgotten about him.

{Ed002's Note - He will be sold if a buyer can be found.}

Dang that's crazy. Difficult situation this.

Thanks Ed.

He will be back training with the first team this week!

Is this because of the drug test Ed? He was great last year prior to that debacle.

{Ed001's Note - no.}

Its to do with him being sent home from the pre season tour in Erica I guess.
Showing complete disrespect by being late for the flight, then a training session and then a club meal.
Klopp showing everyone who is boss by bringing the hammer down hard.

A preseason tour in Erica? Must have missed that 😳.

Although I respect your opinion/ info Ed, I highly doubt both Klopp and LFC would be so niave to sell one of their best centre backs due to a behavoural issue. Don't get me wrong he has a lot to do, to get back in to the first 11 but selling him would be complete madness, leaving us then with Klavan, Matip, Lovren and a very inexperienced Gomez who is still recovering from an Acl and Achilles injury. When on form he is vital to our defence, we missed him hugely in the Europa league final too.

Cheers ed, absolutely ruthless from Klopp but these are the likes of ball I wish Rodgers would have shown.

from using the search function, do you know if roma are still interested ed002?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - No, they have taken Fazio on loan. Housseyni has been spoken to by the club and Besiktas are known to be looking for a centre back but at best will want a loan with an option to buy. Housseyni however is insistant that Sakho stays and if that is the case he will no doubt be spending his time looking for the deal that suits them and not Liverpool. Housseyni has been told that the club expect to recover their investment in him.}

So that would make Lovren, Klavan, Matip and Gomez our 4 centre backs.

Hi Ed, is this a case of Klopp setting a clear example to the rest of the squad in terms of behavioral expectations or would it be fair to say there's a little more going on?

Obviously getting sent home from a pre-season tour is a serious matter but you'd be forgiven for thinking it didn't warrant selling the player.

Perhaps it was simply the final straw given the banned substance debacle etc?

Agree2 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - isn't enough that he is going? Klopp has made the decision and that is the important thing.}

thanks ed002 for the update.

Hi Eds, the signing of Klavan seemed to be a bit of a surprise at the time but if you're correct about Sakho hindsight makes it look like he was brought in as his replacement. Is there a shred of truth in that or am I making a connection where none exists?

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - The decision regarding Sakho was taken after Klavan signed but you would think that there was some thought process involved.}

I really liked sakho, he seemed to be warm to the fans, have a bit of a personality which is good for morale and was easily our best cb (not the hardest achievement)

Shame his attitude appears to have dropped, has he always been like this or is it more recent?

Thought the club were sticking by him after the drugs incident so is it that it was ultimately disrespectful of him to be how he has after that or more long term issues?

Hi ed, would Sakho of been informed of this decision or not?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He will know that the club are open to taking offers for him and he will have spoken with Housseyni.}

I was excited when we signed him to be honest, but having watched him live a few times I'm glad we're selling. Everything else aside I just don't rate the lad and I've stated that before. I never got the Enrique thing and people on here raved about him? Like the look of klaven think we missed a trick with Ashley Williams and should spend big on a spurs LB. although I'm thinking klopp rates milner there.

I find this upsetting - to me, he is the most able CB in the squad and losing him will be a significant blow to us and our ability to play out from the back.

I'm glad don't rate Sakho always a liability for a mistake.
