Hi Ed, not a Liverpool question but I've seen a rumour circling of arsenal agreeing a deal for higuain, do you know anything of it and do you expect him to move this summer (I don't mean do we have a chance!)?
Also, what is the situation with dzudzsak and could you see us going back in for him after a loan enquiry in January?
Finally, what do you see happening with strootman this summer?
Appreciated as always mate, cheers! {Ed001's Note - I expect him to move, but I don't know about Arsenal, or ourselves, being able to match his wage demands, I think one of the two big French spenders are a more likely option for him. I don't know what is happening with Dzudzsak, but I would be very surprised if we made another loan bid, maybe a permanent one though. I expect Strootman to join Moyes at United.}

Look if you want the truth about christian eriksen and the possibilities of him joining us, il give em to you straight, as faar as dortmund, the only comment he has ever made was saying that dortmund was a decent club and they play the kind of football he likes, he's also been quoted as saying that he was negotiating whit dortmund, this is a lie aswell, the only thing that ever happened was, dortmund asked if he was available for purchase, wich basicly only means he's one of a number of targets they have, on top of that I wanna say that most of you seem to forget what Liverpool truly is, we ain't some small time club, in denmark where christian is from, Liverpool have a very good reputation, and you better be damn sure they are considered one of the bug guns, none of that has changed because of the recent years, infact most people are impressed whit the way we tackle our current situation, right now there talking about us having the second best attacker in the premier league, 2 of the most aspirering talents sturridge and coutinho, believe me he knows what's going on, and he knows what it means to be a Liverpool legend, all the statements he keeps getting quoted for, well its christian doing the polite thing, but because there's no real story in that they fabricate so much bs, don't believe what you read about him in the papers, of course he wants to play champions league next year, but I garantee you, main priority is he's longterm goals, like play everytime and being important to your club, we provide those things, so if its right now between dortmund and Liverpool, i'd say they only have a slight advantage, because of champions league, but its nowhere near as big as people make it out to be.

Hello Eds, I would just like to pick your brains on sevilla, s Medel. I can't remember which eds it was but he was saying that he thought Medel would be a good signing for Liverpool that he could bring them on a level, but what I wanted to ask was after watching him play (only twice!) I personally think that he is a carbon copy of Joe Allen. He drops in to the back line, takes the ball of the back line and starts the play off. Is that not what Joe Allen basically does? and so do you not think that we should be looking at a different style of midfielder maybe more of a combative type seeing as money needs to be spent wisely. Would just love you`re opinion or anyone else`s on Medel. Thanks eds.

Ed002 - What is your opinion of Cristian Erikson. Regardless of the rumours etc, as a player is he as good as is said or was he a top young player a season or two agon and now isn't as good or showing signs he will no fulfill the potentual?
Reason I ask is I'm not seeing him linked to the usual suspects. Spurs, Man U/City, Arsenal, Bayern, Juve, Milan, Madrid, PSG, Monaco, Chelsea etc etc. I recall he was europes top prosect and after Ajax played either Arsenal or Utd in the CL it was ALL about Erikson.
Can't understand, as much as I love LFC, how/why we're only linked and now Dortmund. How come no one else?. Your thoughts are appreciated {Ed002's Note - You must be confusing him with someone else. Dortmund, AC Milan, Liverpool, Roma and Spurs remain interested in Eriksen but I would personally not rule out PSG, Arsenal, Manchester City (although he has already rejected Chelsea) or other previously interested clubs regaining interest in him. Back in July 2012 the Milan Press Office were convinced of interest from Manchester United and they let it be known that they expected a bid to be made by for Eriksen by them, although it came to nothing. The player remains adament that he will stay in Amsterdam until the end of next season before moving to Spain but would likely jump at the chance of a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona if the opportunity arises. However, Ajax will not let him run down his contract so a move beckons this summer. The player will see out the rest of the season at Ajax and see if he can attract attention from Spain, or perhaps Italy, whilst now himself courting Dortmund who are certainly interested, PSG and Manchester City as interest from Spain has not arisen. Whilst all of these clubs continue to watch the player, no one has yet come forward with a firm bid but I would suspect there will be one from Dortmund amd if Manchester City were to make a bid then they could well be a consideration regardless of the player previously turning them down.}

Hi EDs,
do you think Cristian Tello could be a possibility without a Suarez swap deal? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know. General enquiries about the player's availability were made last summer by Porto, Seville, Malaga and Liverpool. Discussions about loans of one type or another were raised by Valencia, Ajax, Benfica and Atletico Madrid - all of which came to nothing. Tello agreed a new contract in January which assures him that he will not be left in the B squad and with Sanchez and Villa leaving this summer he may well make the transition he desires. However, whilst there remains speculation that Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool could be interested it is hard to see Barcelona simply selling him on with the others leaving. If the situation is such that Barcelona decide to make an approach for Suarez, it is possible that Tello might be part of the negotiations.}

Liverpool have reportedly agreed deals with Ajax for Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen and Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld.
There is no secret that Brendna Rodgers has been keeping a close eye on Eriksen and it is believed that only personal terms need to be agreed.
However, 24-year-old Alderweireld is being considered to replace Jamie Carragher in defence, according to reports.
An initial fee of £25m is being touted for the pair.
Eds - You heard of news to support this? {Ed002's Note - Just waiting for it to appear on Twitter.}

Agree0

Would make sense if true as we have been linked with Eriksen for the past 2 seasons and Alderweireld is a cheap option and would slot in alongside Agger as we all know Skrtel & Coates will be sold and Carra retiring, £25M is about right as Alderweireld will cost £8M & Eriksen £15M.
Alderweireld's move to Roma has fell through & Eriksen is not in talks with Dortmund just yet, they have spoke to his agent about his availability.

Although he isn't explicitly to have 'snubbed' Liverpool's particular interest in him from the quotes tv just confirmed, do Liverpool still stand any chance of Christian Eriksen's signature with Champions league-finalists and possibly Champions League winner Borussia Dortmund in the frame and possibly his preferred choice? (if obviously interest from a Real Madrid and/or Barcelona enter)
Also, do Liverpool hold any interest in the Spanish star Isco from Malaga? He recently signed a contract but that was rumoured to only bump up his minimum fee release clause from a bargain reported £17m to a fee now closer to £30m.
Thanks. I'd really appreciate a fresh reply ED's, something of your actual opinion on the latest updates of Eriksen's transfer and any interest in Isco and the impact he can make rather than one of those repeated answers and/or 'search the engine please' because this is pretty new! {Ed002's Note - Eriksen is himself courting Dortmund, PSG and Manchester City as interest from Spain has not arisen. I don't see Liverpool as an option. Isco will certainly not be an option for Liverpool.}

Sandro can play as an unorthodox RB as well ala Phillip Lahm, so if he can do well there he can naturally play there with Digne and Robbo competing for LB slot. Enrique can adapt as a LW and has played some good soccer like the Swansea goal. So sign them both, combined fee of about 15-18M.

Have Dortmond bid for Bernard or at least talked to his club? {Ed002's Note - Yes. Atletico Mineiro's Bernard rejected opportunities to join Zenit and a Qatar side last summer but there is a lingering thought that he may still move on. Inter went as far offering part ownership of others in exchange for part ownership of Bernard last summer, but again that was refused. However, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow, Terek Grozny and Shakhtar Donetsk have recently approached Atletico Mineiro and whilst a 12M euro offer from Terek was rejected, it looks like a deal could be still be done and perhaps AC Milan will put together a package including a player as part of the deal or Dortmund who would offer straight cash. Whilst he is certainly attracting interest from several sides and a very good offer could tempt them to sell, I suspect Atletico Mineiro and Bernard would prefer to hold off on any move for, say, another year. Chelsea has been keeping a close eye on his progress as have Manchester City. He was one of the South American players that Liverpool were scouting earlier in 2012, but that was pre-Rodgers.}
