Ed are Liverpool interested in Christian Eriksen? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Roma, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. Back in mid July last year someone from the Milan Press Office told me he had heard of interest from Manchester United and that may well be the case. The player has expressed an interest to move to Spain. Without Champions League football it is likely that a move to Liverpool may need to wait.}

Ed Raul Albiol isn't getting a game against Madrid, would he like to move to Liverpool and would we be intrested.

Cheers Dano

P.S What does everyone else think?? {Ed002's Note - He will stay at Madrid if Mourinho leaves and otherwise will likely move to Italy with, perhaps, Juventus.}

If Mourinho leaves ed? any story to share why?

Kaizer {Ed002's Note - I don't really know what you are expecting me to say. It is possible the Mourinho will be moving on the summer.}

No i mean, u said Raul Albiol will stay if mourinho leaves, im taling about the Raul Albiol part, not mourinho part. I mean if mourinho stays he would leave? any reason why? something happened between them?

Kaizer

Hello Ed002,
I hear that some papers talk about Liverpool interest in Kuba Blaszczykowski from Dortmund. Any truth in that Ed? I am a Pole and great fan of the trio in Dortmund but I think only Piszczek would do job at LFC. Don't think Kuba is consistent enough to play good quality football every week for Liverpool and I'd love this club to be the champion next season. Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I think Blaszczykowski moving to Liverpool may just be paper talk right now.}

Is that be in the Champions' League or be the Champions? Because one is much more likely than the other.

TSP

How could he possibly fit his name on the back of a shirt?

Hi eds,

Not strictly Liverpool related but thought some people might be interested. I heard from a friend at the Bernabeau that come summer time Mourinho is off and Rafa will take the reigns. When I asked where they thought Jose was going and why she said Jose wanted to come and win titles in 3 different countries (which he will come end of season) and only intended on staying for 3 years anyway. She said they think he is coming back to England. Anyone else heard this?

Nevada

His original plan but it changed, this happens ! {Ed002's Note - Spain will be his fourth different country to win a title in.}

I have it on good authority from within Real Madrid the the Special One has already signeda pre contract to replace whisky nose but not until the end of next season - watch this space

Reina Kelly Carra Skrtel Enrique Spearing Henderson Gerrard Downing Caroll Suarez

team ive just been told is playing not to sure how reliable this is though

We need to play the sane team we just had regardless of who us fit with Agger as an exception. Kelly made the first goal possible and with Carroll taking a extra cb and mid out if the game suarez got the kind if freedom he had at ajax

ed do liverpool have any interest in Yann M'Vila cheers {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Ed do you think we will go after him? I know hes a good player but considering we have Lucas playing in the same player, it seems unnecessary to spend £20mil+ on M'vila

AZ {Ed001's Note - probably not, I think we have other priorities right now, but maybe, as it does look likely he will be moving somewhere.}

Is he a cam cdm or just a cm eds
taran {Ed002's Note - Defensive.}

13 Mar 2012 18:15:54
could lfc go for vargas in the summer eds? {Ed002's Note - Not a priority after buying Enrique. Probably not.}

Would love to see Brendan Rogers come in as manager if and when Kenny decides to leave, he was gone to europe and studied the training and playing techniques and implemented them over here with great success.
But still believe Kenny is the man for the job.
Dr. A

Whilst Rogers has done a great job, he doesn't have anywhere near enough experience. He inherited a squad of players that had been together for a few years playing a particular brand of football, all be it easy on the eye. He's improved Swansea but is simply not ready.

What we need (if Kenny leaves) is a coach with experience of managing in a top European league and the Champions league.

Still not enough experience for me

Brendan Rogers is the man to take the club forward,he could be manager for years give him time and the football he likes to play wuld be so much better to watch.I do think kk has done a good job at rebuliding the foundations again but not the man to take us forward.

Rafa, klopp, low and deschamps.

Take your pick people, four very very good coaches.

I'd say low or even rodgers

Brendan Rogers? RFLMAO.

Thats gotta be comedy post of the month.
That and "NESV are really gonna be good for us.."

Hi Eds, I know it's only March - But I just have 2 or 3 questions. First Moussa Sissoko, I know that we have or atleast had interest in him, and Comoilli is a big admier, do you think that he will be a good buy? I think he's very underrated imo. And then I'm wondering about Gaston Ramirez, Liverpool were linked to him in the summer and first half of the season. He's got so much potential and has already prove himself in Serie A in a club like Bologna - How high do YOU rate him? And do you think any of theese 2 are possible signings?

Let's hope for 3p tonight, YNWA {Ed002's Note - Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko is a fine player and has attracted interest from Lyon, Roma, Genoa, Juventus, Liverpool and probably Napoli. Arsenal and Milan's previous interest waned over the summer. Damien Comolli let Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool see his man as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard but for some reason Liverpool failed to make the final push in the summer. Sissoko remains available but Liverpool have yet to follow up their previous interest.

Whilst Gaston Ramirez is a fine player and has been watched by Liverpool I remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club. A move to Sevilla, Palermo or Juventus, who have made a firm offer, is also possible - although unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested. He was available in January for about 15M euro and his agent was looking for a signing on fee for the player as well.}

hey eds sorry for this question again , but do you think sterling will leave liverpool any time soon or rather will liverpool want to sell sterling?...........RED INDIAN {Ed002's Note - The kid is just 17 and the club expect him to have a good future. I don't see the club wishing to sell him.}

Hi Eds, IF, and a big if, KK decides to step aside or for some other reason won't be manager come next season, would AVB be a great candidate if he hasn't found a job by the summer? He's young, talented, yes he had problems at Chelsea, but so has another 6 or 7 managers. I think he would be great for the long term.

Thanks

Martin {Ed002's Note - I don't see AVB making the move to Liverpool, but you never know.}

I like AVB and im sure Chelsea fans did also he just had too many politics at Chelsea to deal with an ageing squad and an impatient owner.

I think with the correct backing he would do well with Liverpool and I think FSG would back him - lets face it he cant do any worse than the stats of this seasons.

NS

And the winner for joke comment of the year!!

If he is still jobless by summer and Kenny does go then for me his the favourite for the job. Infact i expect LFC to get him without hesitation. I believe he and Torres were just not suited to Chelsea's management and style of play respectively and also for AVB the added fact that there is a trigger happy owner like Abramovich. I personally feel that he would suit LFC really well. The track record in the past 10 years says it all. Im sure if you drew up the win percentages for UK born managers i.e. Hodgson and Kenny and compared it with their counterparts from outside UK i.e. Houllier and Benitez, you will see the difference...

How can you say that AVB didn't succeed because there was too much politics to deal with. The fact is he didn't understand the English game, his tactics were all wrong, and half the time he looked a's clueless a's his players did on the pitch. I know that the owner and ageing squad etc didn't help him, but it would be a massive gamble if we hired him, a gamble which we don't need. A month ago arsenal fans were calling for the club to sack wenger and look at how he's turned things round, who says that dalglish can't turn things round for us! Get behind your team and get behind your manager otherwise we'll end up like Chelsea sacking a manager every 6 months. YNWA

I'.m sick 0f these so called fans wanting other managers for liverpool
get a grip please. go and support another a club.
chrisssy

No thanks, Chrissssy, we'll stick with Liverpool.

I see Eden hazard is whoring himself to man united now.
The more time goes by the less I want him anywhere near Liverpool.

MIKEY

You wont be dissapointed then.

A bit harsh. From what I read he simply stated being happy to be linked to United having being watched by Fergie. Not the end of the world and hardly 'whoring himself'.

Eds,
Is there a chance Loic Remy is coming to Liverpool in the summer?
And please don't say use the search function, i used the search function and there are only statements about a January move and I asked about the summer. {Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed. There have been no approaches to Marseille regarding Loic Remy from Liverpool but in January a third party (an agent) suggested to Marseille that there was interest from Spurs and some sort of exchange for Pavlyuchenko was proposed which was immediately dismissed. Spurs went in to discuss options for buying the player outright and Marseille said he was not for sale. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to a leading side in the summer but Marseille have no interest in selling unless a very good offer is made. There has been a suggestion that Arsenal could be interested in Remy.}

speaking to a friend today. Bulgarian friend showed me an article today from a bulgarian press that liverpool are looking at berbatov sorry spelling. For 5 million. Have you heard anything eds or anyone else. Thanks j.canada. {Ed002's Note - Somehow passed me by.}

I would love to get Berbatov. He is a true goalscorer with tricky feet. Although he is slow and lazy he will always be in the box trying to score a goal.

BthekingB

I wouldn't believe that story, read that a few days ago pal, dont have no friends in Bulgaria doh!! Refering back to when we tried to buy Gabriel Heinze, on that basis Liverpool highly unlikely to ever get any players from Manchester United, EVER

Rocky

His contract ends in the summer, but I still dont see it happening

I was shocked as well but i think he could do a Ian Rush job for us. if he is on a free this year maybe but if not i dont think fergie would let it happen. J.canada

I`m almost certain berbatov had a clause in his contract that allowed united to have the option for a 1 year extension and they have applied that clause therefore he is contracted to them until 2013

I would want to get him, lazy and stuffs i dont think he is, look at rooney he puts so much effort and score goals and berbatov is cool and relaxed and he aint given big opportunities still he scores as same as rooney. he is such a waste in man u, i would want thim in liverpool

Eds,

I have been reading the details regarding KK stepping down at the end of the season. Ed2 seems pretty in the know about this situation. Just wanted to know whether this just a 50/50 or more like a 70/30 that he will step down?

Also I have heard from quiet a few people that we will look at Mourinho or Deschamps for the role of manager.

What do you feel the possibility of one of these two coming in would be? I think Jurgen Klopp would be a great shout, young, vibrant and has his teams playing great attacking football albeit in a lesser league.

If you can let me know your thoughts on the above please Ed's! Great site.

Thanks

Jon LFC {Ed002's Note - We are not going to get in to percentage chances of Dalglish leaving. If he were to leave then an approach may be made to Marseille to talk with Deschamps. I really don't think Mourinho will be arriving.}

49/51

Ed
why are you so against kk
chrissy {Ed002's Note - I have absolutely nothing against him at all. You are confusing me with the Liverpool fans who want him out.}

To Jon LFC, (or any one else who can help)

You said in your post you have been reading the details regarding KK stepping down at the end of the season. I'm assuming the details you read were on this site as you mention Ed002. I've been looking through the posts and search but I can't find it and would like to read it, would you happen to remember what day/time roughly you found it?

Cheers

Hi eds

What use make of this sterling situation u think it's the media looking to sell papers an u think Liverpool will give him more first team chances now worried they'll lose him

Thanks {Ed002's Note - It is not a situation but simply a snippet someone has come across and published. He has a good reputation and scouts will be taking a look at him.}

He turned 17 only 3 months ago and he is not physically strong enough to play in pl

Ever heard of punctuation?

Eds,
I noticed sterling arrived with the first team for the arsenal match at anfield.
Was he in the squad? {Ed002's Note - No, I suspect he travelled with them to get some experience.}

13 Mar 2012 12:33:38
last summer lot heard about mario gomez to lfc. are we still interested in him? cheers ed!!!
som {Ed002's Note - I am sure that you won't see Gomez at Liverpool this summer. In all probability he will sign an extension to stay in Munich.}

13 Mar 2012 10:09:43
is it just the people inside lfc not seeing we need big investment in the summer. as i see it we need 2 proven strikers a creative midfielder and a winger now im not saying these all need to be 20+ million signings but with the likes of stevie n bellers not gettin any younger and suarez apparently wanting out we will need reinforcing here are my options

ST -
huntelaar - 12-15 mill 34 goals this season-schalke o4
demba ba - 8 mil clause - 20+ goals-newcastle
defoe - 8-10mil - proven goalscorer-tottenham
LW/RW -
brek shea - 5-10mil - FC dallas
iker muniain - 15-20mil - ath bilbao
andre schurrle - 15-20mil - bay leverkusen
CAM -
erik lamela - 15mil- roma
carlos eduardo - 10-20mil - rubin kazan

{Ed002's Note - For various reasons including wildly inaccurate prices, complex ownership issues, age, a misunderstanding about a contractual clause, I don't see most these as viable options really.}

Well only Muniain of these may can be tempted, but his price tag is far greaer than that and thats why it seems very highly unlikely. About other perhaps there is no interest. May be ba, too. but all of these seem unlikely.

Muniain couldn't be tempted either I'm afraid

The standout name here has to be brek Shea... I'm afraid he wouldnt even make the bench for for the u18s.

I think lots of people are gonna be disappointed.The conjuring trick the last 3 windows was experienced stars on high wages sold to fund also rans on lower wages.
Every squad deteriorates over time. Thats why u need to net spend and keep wages in line with inflation.

Saying u can use stats to buck the trend is a load of pr and bull. NESV arent smarter than the big league. Infact, they know nothing about football.

Hence our pitiful performances on the pitch! Sad times for us real reds .. : (

Just out of interest eds why does my post get put on the dodgy rumours section whereas the guy who thinks we could sign Huntelaar for 12mil and Munian for 15mil gets a prime time slot. Surely this is a dodgy rumour if ever I saw one.
RealisticRed {Ed002's Note - Your post was more gossip than rumour.}

In all honesty I would be inclined to agree with you ed0002 however it is more of a rumour than this guys personal opinion surely.
RealisticRed {Ed002's Note - If that makes you happy, sure.}

Just wondered if we need a great striking coach than new players? We don't have bad players, just misfiring ones right now! We need Rush and Fowler to be having a few sessions with them!

hi ed it seems to me that since lucas got injured we have struggled in the DM position so why didnt we address this in jan, to me it was poor of daglish and the management team not to replace lucas.

and in all honesty i hope that KK does step out of the hot seat and hpe we appoint someone with a bit about them. i know there is few managers out there that people would want but i can think of a few who i wouldnt mind comin in.

1,Didier Dechamps
2,Jose Mourinho
3, Klopp
4, Brendan Rodges

So wat is the eds view on these managers?

also ed i firmly believe tha Suarez will leave in summer so what do we replace him with as to me de jong isnt good enough for LFC, and it is evident we need a striker who is going to put the ball in the net not against the post.Also we need to get rid of the deadwood in the team

Henderson
Adam
Agger( although i dont class him as deadwood he is rarely fit)
and i would keep Glen Johnson

and this season has proved our Marvelous captaoin has lost his pace now and we need to try to replace him with another world class player.

And now it is time we gave the youth players a taste of wat is to come for them and this carp about not being old enough is stupid if there good enough there old enough, and we will never know if there good enough if we dont give them a chance

plse post ed

midlands red {Ed002's Note - You will find my view about the manager and my views and postulation about Suarez by using the search function. To be fair to Dalglish I think there is sufficient cover for Lucas in the now fitter Gerrard and in the likes of Adam and Shelvey returning from loan.}

And spearing who is quality

Gerrard Hatrick tonight...He has obviously lost it...
u Tosser...

Phooey

Hey phooey he has 1 good game all season and you call me a tosser, i think Gerrard has been the best player at the club for many a year but unfortunately he is ageing, as happens to us all, So yeah we need to replace him as if we dont wen he breaks down with yet another injury, who do u want to cover his position Adam your a clown mate,

i say he needs to be replaced just like i said carra needs to be replaced not because there carp cause they are getting old

13 Mar 2012 08:03:18
Do you think Cavani will leave to join Liverpool in the summer? {Ed002's Note - No.}

13 Mar 2012 07:54:41
Hi eds
Did jao Carlos texiera sign in the end {Ed002's Note - Yes, but not for the first team.}

13 Mar 2012 04:59:44
Liverpool to sign any 1 of either marin , matt philips,or l.de jong to play on rw .- mihir

Well I believe De jong would be gret but I hope, if he's sogned he is viewed as a striker. Thats his best position.

Hi Ed's. Theres abit on the Daily mail about Sterling being targeted by Tottenham. It also says he's "struggling" to settle into Merseyside. Do you know if this is true? {Ed001's Note - not as far as I am aware, sounds like typical Fail nonsense.}

I thought it looked quite bad, I mean he has 3 years left on his contract here, it says that he's frustrated with first team chances, at only 17 that sounds very unlikely.Finally how would he get a chance in spurs team when they have bale and lennon? {Ed001's Note - he says himself that he is just a kid.}

Personnally cant see it. not only because the daily mail wrote it but because hes still a young lad with big oppourtunities at liverpool, if by 20 then yea. but he is fine. i expect a few appearences anyways after the next gen vs ajax wednesday

Dont completely dismiss this , I dont know about spurs I am sure there will be a lot of clubs interested in Sterling's potential, I think the main point is "struggling to settle into Merseyside" not necessary LFC , but maybe find it difficult living in Liverpool.
Roy

is it true Raheem sterling is getting ready for a spurs switch? ive heard a few newspapers on it.

Its paper talk? dont believe everythin you hear {Ed002's Note - Don't you mean "read"?}
