Gladbach want to keep Dahoud for another season and Liverpool are prepared to wait and have viewed it as part of a long-term plan, meanwhile Swansea City have officially approached Liverpool over Joe Allen but have yet to put a price on their interest, Liverpool will not allow Joe Allen to leave on the cheap and expect a fee in the region off £10m if he is to leave.

If Walcott is valued at the reported 25 million then 10 million is a steal.

Liverpool are tracking Freiburg's attacking midfielder, Vincenzo Grifo.
Grifo has scored 14 goals and has 15 assists. He is a set piece specialist with half of his goals coming from direct free kicks.
Klopp had his scouts attended for the second division games last season.

Buy him now.
He'll enjoying playing alongside Henderson, Milner, Can, Lucas, Grujic, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Ibe, Markovic and Zielinski - we'll have to leave Goalie, Defenders and Striker on the bench though.

A rumour I've heard that's not flying around in every newspaper is that JK holds an interest in German youngsters Maximilian Mayer and Leon Goretzka. make of it what you will, they certainly won't be cheap though.

If football manager is anything to go by those two would be world class in about 2-3 seasons. imagine a midfield of Can, Goretzka, Couthino, Firmino and Mayer. Would seriously compete with when we had Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Gerrard and Mascherano.
I would rather we sign Gotze. I think everyone is easily getting on the back of Henderson, he has the potential to be a real player as he has already shown. Henderson, Can, Couthino, Firmino and Gotze with Sturridge up front is a pretty fearsome strike force with lots of goals. Clyne-Sakho-Matip-LB? with Karius as GK = We have a pretty good 1st XI.

Walcott is another Sturridge, could be really good but no one would buy him for full value with all the injuries.

He's nowhere near as good as studge though.
This rumour pops up every single window, seem to remember he was being looked at the same time as studge but we chose wisely.

Very harsh to compare Sturridge with Walcott when their injury record is the inly thing comparable. Sturridge is a better player by a long way, Walcott has incredible pace (or used to) but absolutely nothing else. If we were to sell a few strikers he might not be bad as back-up though - seemed to do better there for Arsenal than on the wing.

No I meant and said he's a good player that no one in their right mind would pay full whack for because their injury record is so bad. Walcott, on the few occasions he's been fit and on a run of games is a good EPL player. The problem being that only happens maybe once every couple of seasons.

With Coutinho maybe going and koeman no longer at saints, would we look at Praet?
Still hoping we get Gotze, give him the 10 shirt.

{Ed001's Note - he would not be interested in joining us, so it is irrelevant. To leave Leicester, he wants a team that is regularly competing in the Champions League.}

Was just about to come on and give out about the spurious bullsh*t that I heard had been spouted by the Daily Sham.
Why indeed, would he leave the Champions to come to a club that's not even in Europe? There are half a dozen of the top sides in the world that want him, he could walk in any top European squad that he chooses. So why even bother asking this as if it's even close to the realms of possibility?

Thanks Ed001.
Why even bother posting your piece Jurgen Meister? By your rationale no one will sign for Utd or Chelsea this Summer either as all players want Champs League. £20m is an amount we can afford and will most likely exceed paying on at least 1 player this Summer.
Ed001 do you see Henderson and Can starting as the 2 holding midfielders at the start of next season in a 4-2-3-1 formation? Or will be play a different formation?
Agree1
Disagree9
{Ed001's Note - depends on injury and form, but that is the most likely pairing.}
14 Jun 2016 15:48:25
If them two are our two holding midfielders then prepare for another hit and miss season as both need someone behind them and are defensively unpredictable. A midfield trio with one behind them allowing them to push forward. Grujic could be that man possibly.
