Hi eds, I was wondering if anything is happening with Enrique? Is he staying or are we looking to sell him? Cheers.

PS: If we did sell him, who would you guys use as back up LB? I'd suggest promoting Stewart to play there instead of buying an average one. He could also play a lot of other positions too (CB, CDM, maybe more).

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - he has been up for sale for a long time now.}

13 Jun 2015 14:53:35
Will we end up paying him off ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - seems likely he will just be sunning himself at our expense for another year, sadly.}

13 Jun 2015 16:54:49
Don't want to be disrespectful here because I know ED'02 hates it(sorry ED'02) but hopefully Dorset Red after paying him off,we go for Garbutt.I Have checked the Everton site and the last update about him was that he has options and will consider them before making his decision.Any updates ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are on the wrong page - try the Everton page.}

13 Jun 2015 17:02:29
Is there zero interest in Enrique?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Replacing him is not a priority.}

13 Jun 2015 11:24:56
Hey Eds, just wondering have Liverpool showed any interest in Hernandes as it looks like van gaal doesn't rate him and could be a cheap yet reliable signing

Cheers

{Ed001's Note - no.}

Hi ed(s) thanks for the great work, is it true that city are looking at including daemons part of the sterling deal.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - daemons? I would not have thought so!}

13 Jun 2015 11:55:59
Matt Damon? I don't think so dude. Demons? Nah, we already have Brendan.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jun 2015 12:20:33
Daemons could be useful though, double the number of players on the pitch. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2015 12:51:26
My guess is Daemons was an auto correct from "Dzeko as" and the person missed the space. I could be wrong and he really meant that the denizens of hell would be included as part of the deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2015 14:19:55
I did mean Dzeko, but I wouldn't say no to daemons, always said we need a bit of fire in midfield

Hi Eds,

With the chances of Sterling leaving increasing, are we likely to revisit Konoplyanka? I presume Pedro is still not viable?

Cheers

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - so far we have shown no signs of resurrecting the Kono deal.}

13 Jun 2015 14:16:11
I don't understand why not. How can he be identified as a top player one minute and then not good enough the next minute eds? As a free signing it's a no brainer even if sterling stays.

Had seen previously Liverpool had been linked in passing to kongdogbia along with arsenal. Any truth or just lazy reporting?

13 Jun 2015 11:11:45
*prays*
Any interest eds? You'd said we had him watched a few months back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not so far this window, but we are obviously short of a few midfielders to complete the set so why not add another?}

13 Jun 2015 11:37:42
Ed1, Kondogbia could sit in front of the defence and ultimately replace Lucas if he leaves, which is the kind of player we need much more than Kovacic, no?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I agree, but Rodgers doesn't, he prefers a playmaker there, such as Kovacic.}

13 Jun 2015 14:44:45
This flaw of his will be his downfall. Can't see him lasting too long with 3 attacking midfielders and no defensive minded one, in the same midfield.

Pepjin Linders could be the new first team coach

13 Jun 2015 10:39:38
Whoooo?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is already at the club as a coach, we got him from FC Porto I think. Unless I am completely mistaken!}

13 Jun 2015 11:00:58
Yeah, I just found his profile on the liverpool website:
Pepijn Lijnders was appointed coach of Liverpool U16s in August 2014, assuming the reins from Michael Beale. He switched to Merseyside from FC Porto, having also spent time with PSV Eindhoven.

Hopefully might help bringing through more young players, if the above is true.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - cheers, I never even thought of checking the offal site doh.}

13 Jun 2015 14:30:34
He's a very impressive coach and his ideas are breath taking . great education as well!

have a read of this site, also played a large part in educating Depay and Ryan Gauld etc. Another coach I'd look at Cathro from Valencia, Scottish coach! another great education, have a read up on him.

{Ed001's Note - Cathro just left Valencia to return to Scotland for personal reasons, I don't think he will be willing to leave just yet.}

Eds
Have we ever shown an interest in Gnarby of arsenal, was injured last season but the guy looks like he'll be top quality.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - none that I know of.}

Hi All,

I work at a Football news & analysis company. Word at the office is that City have returned to us with an improved £40m package. They're ready to spend £200m this summer and Sterling is a prime target due to his home-grown status.

No word on whether or not Liverpool will accept this. Personally don't have an opinion on it as it's just an aggregate of what our social team tell us.

Cheers

I'm not saying this isn't true but didn't one of the eds say yesterday that Liverpool haven't responded to city's first offer yet.

Id find it hard to believe that city would come back instantly with a 40m offer but I could be wrong.

Anyway out of interest what kind of price would you want for sterling?

My gut feeling is he will end up at Real!!

{Ed001's Note - why? They have not shown any interest.}

13 Jun 2015 10:30:04
I don't mean to doubt your company, but how do you suppose Man City justifies spending £200 million, even with the relaxed FFP rules?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2015 10:42:21
If true just have to accept. It's basically this £40m or half season of poor attitude, performance, team disruption and constant negative press headlines. Followed by a Webster ruling, more drama, more of everything else and LFC left with nothing.

Please, can't wait for it to go now

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2015 11:44:24
Webster ruling won't happen here.

Once a satisfactory deemed amount is offered . from whomever, (United the only possible exception), the owners will definitely sell!

Whilst their footballing acumen and sense may be questionable their business acumen isn't, irrespective of what Rodgers may or may not think or say, they (the owners) will not risk holding onto a asset that is viable and can presently command a relatively high fee, rather than keep him and watch it "depreciate".

As the Eds have mentioned time and time again the Webster rule is indeed a possibility (if it ever came to it) and with Mr Money Hungry Ward pulling the strings don't be fooled into thinking that he wouldn't advise Sterling into "employing" it if the occasion arose . if the player is as genuinely as unhappy as it has been purported and portrayed in the media then the owners will sell!
