Ragnick Said after today’s game against Schalke: Liverpool haven’t asked for an early transfer of Naby. He will still remain as part of the team and will complet the transfer in the summer.

The post from (i think) yesterday that German media reported the deal is done was published by „Bild“ and Bilds reputation is even worse than Suns so i wouldn’t give them too much credit for their post.

Sorry but he's obviously talking crap considering that we know Keita is desperate to leave. Bild are not the Sun.

SG- Where does Crammie state that RR says that Keita doesn’t want to come?

14 Jan 2018 07:54:04
I admire your stance Stable. but you can't be so sure, I know RBL are sick of the sight of him.
But they're no push overs.

Alright lads maybe related to what macca said but in hearing from my friend who's father works for the club that we are going to try and pip arsenal for Malcolm. Klopp feels him or mahrez could play salahs position while salahs slots in at cam or secondary striker when we play 442.

Believable1 Unbelievable13

{Ed002's Note - There was a meeting regarding Malcom in London late morning tody. But not with Liverpool.}

13 Jan 2018 18:41:56
First time poster. Been following this sight for years. I absilu6ely love it. In response to what lerchy mentioned. I understand from someone who knows a bit that Arsenal are getting Malcolm. Utd in for Sanchez and greizan will be going Barcelona in the summer. Nothing on Liverpool though. Keep up the relentless work eds.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Dudley.}

13 Jan 2018 18:46:35
So Klopp has explained his tactical thinking for general circulation around all staff at LFC, yet even professional journalists (and Macca) are keeping quiet on the identity of our targets.

Unlikely I’m sure you would agree.

Agree8 Disagree3

13 Jan 2018 16:15:40
We haven't signed him yet mate. We have an agreement, that we will sign him in the summer. As far as i know this picture is a fake that came around sometime in the Summer.

Agree3 Disagree7

13 Jan 2018 16:17:34
It was confirmed when he signed he was going to be number 8.

Agree10 Disagree3

13 Jan 2018 16:24:47
Sturridge has no future at Liverpool.

Agree13 Disagree4

13 Jan 2018 16:58:27
Why would he wear 15 when he just established a company called "NK8". The photo is from when he signed in the summer. If you Google any article from the summer you can see that. I swear people just come here read the first two post then are quick to be the first to post " ".

Agree10 Disagree4

13 Jan 2018 17:22:47
The picture is clearly fake, it's Salah from when he signed, look closely at the name and number. Regarding taking number 15, who's going to pay near £30mil for studge?

{Ed002's Note - Half man, half kiwi fruit?}

13 Jan 2018 20:00:42
Yeah, someone with the same name as Keita and his agent would be as officers would setup the company. Maybe it was Sparky the Wonder Dog, however prior to setting up the company he got the fat kid from Bolton. The both went down and changed their names to Naby Deco Keita and Bjorn Alexander Bezemer then opened the company.

Agree8 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 15:56:26
Didn't this photo surface in the summer too?

Then again the presumably fake van Dijk photos (he had van Dijk on his shirt rather than Virgil) surfaced both in the summer and then again a couple of days before his signing was announced in December, so maybe it's a good sign.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 16:18:26

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 23:44:26
stable genius what was it that ron said that made you think he didn't know many germans he made no false claims or said
the germans are masters of efficiency or
at the first signs of summer they like to get naked or
the germans have no sense of humour or
the Hoffis a demi-god or even
the germans train always run on time
not sure what he said for you to arrive at that conclusion lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2018 23:57:10
ed2 do you expect the potential arrival of keita to make a difference to Can leaving or is it unrelated?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Emre Can will move to Juventus - they would prefer that to happen at the end of the season but if Liverpool are reasonable of a transfer fee now he could move this month. Certainly having Nobby available would help facilitate that.}

13 Jan 2018 10:45:06
If the extra fee that RBL want and what we could get for can now are similar there may be a compromise.

Agree10 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 11:03:37
First get hendo back fit and playing then look to facilitate something like that. Otherwise what’s the point, I don’t even think naby can play in the CL for us can he? If that’s the case keep emre, no point doing something else this month that’s illogical.

Agree4 Disagree11

13 Jan 2018 11:05:12
Isn't Keita going to be cup tied? Won't we be short in midfield if Can goes in Jan?

Agree7 Disagree4

13 Jan 2018 11:06:02
That is extremely doubtful Den82, juve won't offer more than 5-6 million euros.

Agree2 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 11:09:58
Keita and VVD would help address two of our main weaknesses so far this season in terms of our CBs and the lack of goals from midfield, specifically the bod to box roles of Milner/ Gini. Obviously the GK situation is not ideal, nor is the loss of Coutinho but with Karius playing more and Lallana back from injury I think we can survive until next season if the right player to address those doesn’t come available.

Agree3 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 10:43:11
I’ve i missed something is kietia joining this month ed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

13 Jan 2018 12:10:48
In relation to Kman92, I will keep it short.

Problem = Weak centre midfield.
Solution or a piece in solving that area = Naby Keita.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 12:31:50
If that is the case and Can leaves with Nabby arriving that will leave only GiGi, Hendo (if fit), Ox and Lallana for midfield as Nabby is cup tied for CL is he not? Oh hang on when Griezmann signs we can drop Bobby back deeper! Sorry couldn't resist.

Agree4 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 12:40:36
Given that Keita can’t play in the CL we may as well keep Can since the pittance of a transfer fee we could get wouldn’t make up for an early exit.

Agree3 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 12:58:30
Stupid to sell can now.

Agree6 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 13:09:38
No way. Is it better to have a couple of extra million in the bank or a decent holding midfield option for the rest of the season?

Agree6 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 15:39:09
I for one hope that Naby comes in now and EMRE stays till @ least Summer. CL awaits us and he could go out a LFC Hero (Ataturk)

Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season with VVD at the back. (Its a huge boost defensively but I don't expect regular clean sheets just yet) GK needs addressing but I'm sure JK has a short list. defensive midfileder a must

Good morning all

Ed001, Do you no if we are still after one more to come in as well as Keita (assuming he arrives) or would that likely be our lot mate?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - one more. Though I wouldn't get my hopes up mate.}

13 Jan 2018 11:20:44
Cheers ed. Have a good day mate.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Jan 2018 12:00:08
Excuse me Ed001, but you wouldn't get your hopes up for what. Naby coming in, or the other potential signing?

Best regards.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the one more mate. I think RBL will accept it is best for all concerned to get rid of Keita before he disrupts their season any further.}

13 Jan 2018 16:19:37
In relation to the other player, would we be going after someone more attainable if we weren't also trying to bring Keita in early?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 06:38:23
A question for Ed01 if I may, I seem to remember you mentioning that klopp was after 2 centre backs before the arrival of VVD. Do you know if the club is still looking to get another centre back now that VVD has arrived or do you think gomez will be partnered with VVD instead?

If we are indeed looking for a centre back, I personally hope that its Aymeric Laporte. A top top player in my book and a french international that might take some persuading to leave bilbao? Food for thought maybe?

Lastly, I know I am late for this one Ed01, have been lurking around but didn't have time to post. Sorry for your loss Ed and stay strong mate. Great site and keep up the good work!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - not in January mate. There are other priorities in the summer, but Klopp would like one more still.

Thank you very much COR.}

13 Jan 2018 09:34:47
Akanji is a possibility in summer, wouldn’t mind if we did. Also there’s Gimenez and De Vrij who would be available for free in the summer too.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 10:59:44
cheers ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

13 Jan 2018 12:00:13
It would make sense convincing de vrij to sign a pre contract for the summer. Akanji is not quiet ready and very similar to vvd.

Plus we will need to look for a top class keeper and possibly another midfielder and attacking midfielder if we don't get one this window. So saving money getting a free but decent defender for the summer makes sense. Disclaimer: i know its not really free with signing on fees, agents fees etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You can forget De Vrij.}

13 Jan 2018 13:08:12
While I think he is a good defender, I am not convinced that De Vrij is the answer. I think he is abit too slow to play in the system klopp likes to play, and I can see him having a similar problem to Lovren in our system.

I agree with you regarding Akanji. I think he is a good prospect, but if we are going to get him and play him alongside VVD, we might as well give gomez a shot. If not, keep gomez at rb and get a more accomplished centre back.

I'd like to apologise for asking about random players, but if Ed01 is around, can I have your opinion on Laporte? I personally like him a lot (as you can see from my original post! ) and he reminds me abit of Agger with his cultured left foot and the threat he poses from set pieces.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 13:17:45
Ed002.De vrij not an option anymore. would love to get him to play alongside vvd.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 13:32:19
We should offer alderweireld a pay rise from tottenham when we get CL and they dont.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 13:38:57
Shame if we've missed De Vrij.
I see media outlets yesterday saying he's still not signed an extension with Lazio but obviously we'd have a lot of competition to get him.
Gomez to CB next season then and get in a new RB if Clyne is gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 19:15:49
Thanks for the updates ed02, didn't know he was no longer available.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 00:49:19
Hi Ed's

Quick question I don't think anyone has asked recently especially with all the drama over the last couple of days.

Is there any serious interest in outgoings so far this month as surely with 2 just arriving
( including Kieta and VVD) and a possible 1 more to come before the end of the window? I realise some fringe players have gone on loan for experience etc but is there anyone who already has that and needs to move on for their own careers and so on.

Thanks guys I know your head's must be wrecked from all the other stuff.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes, Can might well be going, Sturridge, Ings are also possibilities off the top of my head. A few of the youngsters could do with loan moves as well.}

13 Jan 2018 04:17:36
Is Can going on a 'free' (pre-contract) as we all thought or is he going to be sold?

I hope at least one of Sturridge and Ings moves either permanently or on loan because they need to get their careers back on track. Think it's best for both the club and the player.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - really depends on the offers received and who we sign. LFC would have preferred to replace him and then sold him to get some money for a player that no longer wants to be here.}

13 Jan 2018 04:25:12
Ah right, thanks ed, much appreciated.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

13 Jan 2018 07:29:08
Markovic permanently and Grujic on loan too I would think. Kent has already left on loan and Brannagan permanently.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 07:18:29
Ed don't you think it's a shame it came to this with Can? Where do you think it went wrong?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Klopp does not see him as a first choice central midfielder in the long term, it is as simple as that.}

13 Jan 2018 08:46:20
I like Can but can see how Klopp would want someone a bit more mobile and who moves the ball quicker. Shame but I'm sure he'll do well elsewhere.

Agree9 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 11:06:13
Ed the rhetoric in the media is that we are fighting tooth and nail to keep him, but the reality is that we aren't overly fussed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Klopp would like him to stay but he is not losing sleep over him going, no.}

13 Jan 2018 11:51:30
Thanks Ed, think there was a tad of confusion when Macca said klopp doesn't rate Can!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no confusion, he is not in Klopp's long term plans.}

13 Jan 2018 12:02:51
Wouldn't that be a risk though, yes we have ings and solanke but neither are pulling up trees and we would be stuck if one or more of our three remaining first team attackers were injured. This is of course moot if that top top player signs this window but i believe it when i see it as they say.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2018 12:17:03
Sorry Ed I didn't mean confusion for everyone, just myself.
