Can you stop trying to guess whats going to happen with the take over your all going to do your own heads in!! The club are leading the media a merry dance and it honestly wouldnt surprise that the club has been sold/or is very close to being sold. As if a new owner would want to be named so that he has to pay through the nose for transfers, wages and so on . . . Give it a rest people all in due course :o)

Just got a message from my mate saying he knows for certain'as he drinks with a well known daily mirror columnist that liverpool will be taken over by sheikh mohammad and d.i.c this will be out over the next week.liverpool will not be buying any players till january. . .fact

In response to above.

There could be substance in what you say as it is doing the rounds in the forums that Sheikh Mohammed has come in with a late bid to buy LFC.

Like i said it's just doing the rounds at respected forums.

But who know's what's happening!

I'm sick of listening about the Takeover to be honest we've got Arsenal on Sunday and this is the most optimistic i've been for a long while heading into a new season. Remember G&H will be gone IF not soon then October no matter what.

The same DIC that is BROKE and had to borrow 10 Billion off Abu Dhabi to pay one of there debts? This is why the Burj Dubai (as it was suppose to be called) was changed to Burj Khalifa after the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi, I know this cause I live in Dubai. Sorry but you or your mate are talking nonsense!

One thing is very clear about the takeover talk, we are never going 2 know the full facts or what is going on until its officially announced! I think its time that all liverpool fans focus on supporting the team and not on who and how this takeover will happen! The is nothing us fans can do except hope that the board make the right decision! I for one am glad that the takeover wont happen before the transfer deadline! We dont want to splash the cash and be despised like Man City! Liverpool will do it the right and dignified way and take time before deciding on which players take the club forward! Well not be league winners this season! We need to consolidate and then push on next season! Lets get behind the team now. .

13 Aug 2010 22:39:41
I am not sure who will buy the club but i can guarantee that DIC do have a bid on the table. 100 true. Ed can you confirm my info is normally pretty good. Cheers all. Macca

The Liverpool FC Board has reviewed a number of proposed bids for the club at a meeting held today.

The Board will continue to act in the best interests of Liverpool Football Club and its supporters, doing all that it can to ensure that the club is ultimately sold to a buyer who has the resources and real commitment to give it a long-term, stable and secure funding position for its plans.

The sale process is continuing. However, its timing and outcome remain uncertain. In the meantime, we will not comment on rumour and speculation.

Instead of speculating on the takeover why not read the official statement on the club website. Talks have been held today but nothing has been signed agreed or confirmed. It will happen but it will not be rushed.

Liverpool have yet to identify a front-running bidder to buy the club from Tom Hicks and George Gillett, with an official "holding position" statement released this evening on Liverpool's official website.

The statement says: "The Liverpool FC Board has reviewed a number of proposed bids for the club at a meeting held today. The Board will continue to act in the best interests of Liverpool Football Club and its supporters, doing all that it can to ensure that the Club is ultimately sold to a buyer who has the resources and real commitment to give it a long-term, stable and secure funding position for its plans.

"The sale process is continuing. However, its timing and outcome remain uncertain. In the meantime, we will not comment on rumour and speculation."

The operative word in the statement is "proposed" in relation to bids; these are thought to be outline plans, not funded offers, hence the uncertainty of the rest of the statement.

Kenny Huang, reported last week to be the front man for a takeover backed by the $332bn CIC sovereign wealth fund, has not yet tabled any offer, it is understood. This would be consistent with what his Chicago-based business partner, Marc Ganis, told sportingintelligence earlier this week.

The Premier League has yet to begin the "10-day countdown" to a takeover: the League requires 10 days' notice of a potential buyout and it has had no such notice from Liverpool and does not expect that notice imminently.

In an interview conducted and released in China yesterday, Huang rated his chances of success in a Liverpool takeover at 50 per cent. In the interview, with a basketball magazine he bought late last year, Huang stressed he would not be using any of his own money. He declined to name his backers but insisted that a respected investment manager, Guang Yang of Franklin Templeton, was involved.

Dorine Johnson, a spokeswoman for Franklin Templeton, said today in relation to whether Mr Yang is involved with Mr Huang's bid: "Our position hasn't changed. We stand by our statement [from earlier this week]."

That statement said: "Franklin Templeton has no involvement in the Liverpool FC bid and Guang Yang, EVP, Templeton Equity Group, has also stated that he has no involvement."

Huang's interview with his magazine involved the paradox of him speaking about signing a confidentiality agreement then talking at length about the process, and he also talked specifically about rival bidders from the Middle East and North America who remain unconfirmed themselves. He said he has hired a PR firm to help him but has actually used that same firm – Hill & Knowlton – for more than a year.

Huang was in Beijing yesterday and then traveled on to Qingdao to attend to basketball-related business, according to one source in the Chinese capital.

The Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi, an acknowledged friend of Gillett, has indicated via spokespeople at different points recently that his own takeover – reportedly back by Sharjah's ruling family – was close to completion. There are major doubts over Kirdi's credentials.

Why are some of u people here so stupid and delusion? Aguero will never come to Liverpool. He is far too mediocre and over-priced even not guaranteed he will adapt with the english game. Technically gifted and skillful but lack of pace. Do not compare him with Torres as the latter is very fast and physically suitable with Liverpool style of play. Forlan is better than El Kun but still he may again find it difficult to make it in England.
Turan also will never arrive, decent player but much like Benayoun and not very speedy.
I hope Mascherano stays but seems he will be offloaded if the right offer is received. Bellamy was very good in a Red shirt but his off-field activities cost him since Benitez was a very strict man about discipline. Insua will remain ask Aurelio's cover. Ngog will also leave soon.

BREAKING NEWS: Brad Jones has passed a medical and will be unveiled to the press over the next 48 hours.

TRANSFER TALK:
RUMOURS: Roy Hodgson may attempt to hijack James Milner's move to Man Cit, while he has also been keeping tabs on Slovakian world cup star striker Robert Vittek, who he values at 8 million.

Likely: Liverpool have seemingly agreed a 2.5 million fee for Luke Young with the ex-England international expected to head to melwood to agree personal terms in the coming days

ALSO: Roy Hodgson has reportedly made offers to anfield legends Jamie Redknapp and Alan Hansen to become part of Hodgson's coaching staff, joining up with the likes of Sammy Lee and Kenny Dalglish.

I'll keep you updated

RH is looking for one more signing to finish this summer's transfer window. ( 2, depending on if Mascherano leaves )

The signing will either be:
Crouch or Doyle, for £7m and £8m respectively.

Also Brad Jones will arrive for £2.5m

Likely outcome of the squad;

GK - Reina, Jones
RB - Johnson, Darby
CB - Carragher, Skrtel
CB - Agger, Kyrgiakos
LB - Insua, Aurelio
RM - Maxi, El Zhar
DM - Mascherano, Spearing
CM - Gerrard, Aquilani
CM - Lucas, Poulsen
LM - Jovanovic, Babel
CF - J.Cole, Kuyt
ST - Torres, Crouch, N'gog
= 25
Youngsters: Pacheco, Shelvey, Gulacsi, Kelly, Ayala, Wilson, Mavinga, Amoo, Shelvey, Eccleston, Dalle Valle

My preferred line-up:
- - - - - - - -Reina- - - - - - -
-Johnson-Carragher-Skrtel-Agger-
- - - - - Gerrard-Masch- - - - -
- - - - Maxi- -J.Cole- -Jovanovic

( If Mascherano leaves: )
Steven Defour has been lined up, or Mario Balotti - the reason Kenny went to the Ireland/Argentina game.

Next season expect to see bids of: ( not all of them )
Ashley Young, SWP, Adam Johnson, Craig Bellamy, Theo Walcott.

Liverpool FC is owned by an American duo that virtually every supporter wants to see relinquish control of the club. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as though a takeover is going to happen very soon, with The Guardian reporting that the board aren't expecting any deadline day bids for the club.

Martin Broughton, the Liverpool FC chairman made Friday 13th August the deadline for when he hoped the board would receive some solid ownership offers. However, nothing has materialised from either the consortium led by Yahya Kirdi or the one fronted by Kenneth Huang.
Kirdi's potential bid to buy the club is likely to be delayed after news that Sheikha Maryam al-Shamsi had died, the mother of Sharjah's ruler. The family now mourn for seven days and no business will take place.
To compound matters, it appears as though George Gillett and Tom Hicks will be subject to an additional £60million in penalty charges if they fail to find a bidder by 6th October. At the moment, the American duo are racking up £2.5 million a week in interest charges and the RBS loan expires in less than two months

Skysports.com understands Birmingham are stepping up their interest in Liverpool's Ryan Babel.

The Reds are ready to offload the former Ajax ace so that they can fund some of their own signings before the close of the transfer window.

The news has rekindled Birmingham's interest in the 23-year-old with Blues boss Alex McLeish a long-term admirer of the versatile attacker.

Birmingham failed in a bid to sign Babel during the January transfer window, but they have been keeping tabs on his situation at Anfield.

McLeish has been frustrated in his attempts to bring in attacking reinforcements after missing out on Moussa Dembele and he could now refocus his attentions on Babel.

Now wikipedia have reported Mascherano as a Man city player.

Wikipedia is not reliable as anybody can input information, especially people who want to spread transfer rumours and speculation.

But it is interesting because a man city move could be possible, even though inter or barca look more likely to sign masch.

Why do people continue to quote wikipedia as justification/confirmation of there posts? Do they not understand that anyone can edit the information on wikipedia! I could post that we have signed Messi!! Would that then make it true? Get a grip guys and think before you post.
The fact the Mascherano may well sign for Barcelona does not justify the source.

Mascherano is probably not leaving now after all as RH has said there has been no offers so far, so i dont know where everybodies coming up with this player + cash deadl from barca.

RH also said that poulson's signing was not made as a replacement for mascherano and that mascherano could be playing in the game against arsenal on sunday.

He also said that his targets for this transfer window are all done and that if there is any more activity it will be players leaving the club to fill the new 25 man quota.

13 Aug 2010 19:35:57
If we don't buy a world class centre forward as back up to torres b4 the end of august we will seriously be out of the running for the title this season. Both the mancs the gooners and Chelsea have more than one world class centre forward. How many of these would have ngog as there 2nd centre forward? Forget crouch, bellamy, ruiz, Carlton cole, remi, if we mean business this season we need go make a statement raise as much money as possible from the mardy Argie, lucas and any other of raffas rejects and go and buy Aguero please!!!!!!!!!!

"People need to shut up with all this "he isn't first choice at _ _ _ _ _ so why would we want him?"

Need to stop putting too much stock in how other teams/managers rate other players. Joe Cole was expendable to Chelsea wasn't he? Thats some of the worst logic i've ever heard. Bellamy, Crouch or whoever could come here and be just what we need. So freaking what if said player didn't fit into the plans of another team, they could very well do it for us.

If your against a particular player coming here then how about you voice a better reason than we dont want another teams "cast offs" etc"

Good point, isn't this how arsenal got cesc fabregas? Anyway, would love to see warnock back cause he's proved to be a capable player, and i've heard that it's looking more likely that mascherano is staying, which might be better news than first thought.

AND! also mascherano couldnt even get in the west ham first team. . good point made!

13 Aug 2010 18:58:33
I think that Liverpool will make a sneaky bid for wright-phillips and roque santa cruz from manchester city, if the two of them dont make the 25 man squad, which i doubt they will. About 6 million each?
If the takeover gets completed soon (doubtful) or mascherano is sold, then expect Liverpool to offer 30 million for Agbolahor and Young from Aston Villa!!

Chillin.

To All Fellow Liverpool Fans:
With the Team Liverpol Have At the Moment I Think we Could Beat Arsenal on Sunday. There Will Be no Mega Signing till Christmas As the takeover WILL Not Be Compleated Before Deadline Day(I HOPE SO)Babel will be Like A New Signing Anyway As he got Around 4 Hours Play All Season. .He will Help Nando upfront the youth has Started to Come Through. . Liverpool to be 3rd-4th by Christmas Then We Will Sign (BIG)With the New Owner At the helm. If I Had My Way the only Signing i would do now is.(Darren Bent)15 Mil/Bryan Ruiz 12.5Mil
Mash Will Not Be Going to Rafa as he Shafted us Plus He would only Pay Around 20mil for him All this Talk About All these Plyers Coming: I DONT THINK SO
Also ED You are Doing a Fantastic Job….Keep it up

Forget Crouch or Carlton Cole, Roy's next two signings are going to be Brian Ruiz (made an enquiry months ago about the German League's second highest scorer last yr) and Craig Bellamy (homegrown ex-LFC player who would fit in easily) who both can play as striker or off the wings.

13 Aug 2010 18:29:26
I work at Melwood and was there for todays press conference and this is what I can say. Roy Hodgson has confirmed no bids have come in for Javier Mascherano. Now that Inter have £25m from the sale of Ballotelli, they will finally have the cash to splash on Mascherano. I have been told that Liverpool will not risk Mascherano at the weekend in case an offer comes in. He will not make the bench either and Christian Poulsen will watch from the stands too as he is yet to train with the team.

In the meantime, as we all know from what Danny Murphy said about Hodgson selects his team and tells the players 2 days before a game so they can work on link up play and train and gel together, therefore I can confirm the Liverpool line-up for the Arsenal game will be.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Reina. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Johnson. . . .Carragher. . . . .Agger. . . . . Aurelio

Kuyt. . . . . .Gerrard. . . . . Aquilani. . .Jovanovic

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Cole. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Torres. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Subs. .Cavalieri, Kelly, Skrtel, Maxi, Lucas, Babel, Ngog.

These players have all been training together alone from the rest of the squad, therefore I would presume that these will play, and I would believe that is the strongest line up?

Who is the fella who wrote all that bulls* t about Rafa Benitez on trial.

Rafa Benitez is in Anfield folklore for more good reasons than bad and this should not be forgotton.

The records prove it,
Winners- Champions league, European super cup, Fa cup, Community sheild.

Runners up- Champions league, Fifa Club world cup, Carling cup, Premier league.

Oh and lets not forget the super signings of Torres, Reina, Alonso and Agger, along with transforming Carragher from a utility midfield player to a world class central defender.

Apologies redmen,

As i stated before liverpool will be taken over by a group represented By harris this is about to be released to the press trust me we are nearly there.

As i sais earlier they are the only ones to have abided by agreements that were signed.

H*G will walk away with a gratuatous offer of 10 mil each as a send off otherwise BOTH will be hauled before the courts for financial iregularities, tehy are very concerning worse than the glazers apparently, they have been sifting quite a bit of money out of the club for a while now, also rick parry was a key member in outing both of them to broughton recently, as well as kop holdings having a very nasty secret as well.

Are no other liverpool fans getting annoyed now?
I know we're not rolling in money this transfer window, but I find that being linked with rejects quite insulting. If Craig Bellamy, Peter Crouch etc can't be regular first team players for their teams why should they be regulars for ours? I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have some of the old favourites like Riise back, but with them we'll be going backwards.
The one that has now annoyed me most is Hleb. Barcelona are blatantly trying to get rid of him. They offered him plus cash for fabregas to arsenal. If barcelona were really trying to help us with a part exchange they should offer someone who plays in a position that we are looking for.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, we don't need the new owners to win the league (would obviously help but it's not necessary).
GK - Reina - wed never improv on that
RB - Johnson - same again, and I believ this year Kelly will be adequate cover
LB - Aurlio is good enough but maybe look for (cheap) cover?
CB - Kyriagos, Carra, Agger, Skrtel and Wilson - They're good enough and I think you'll find wilson is a better signing than you think he is.
Poulsen and Lucas are good enough to play in defensive midfield
Cole and Kuyt are adequate to play level with Gerrard but on the wings. Cover is good enough with Babel and Jovanovic. Aqualani would also be cover for Stevie G
Up front obviously Torres.

Mascherano sale for cash only £25 to £30 million. All should be lumped on Aguerro to partner Torres up front. Maxi could also be sold to help buy aguerro and maybe buy cover for LB.

Ends up with

GK Reina
Def Johnson - Carragher - Agger - Aurelio
DefMid Poulsen
Wings Kuyt - Cole
AttMid Gerrard
Str Torres - Aguerro

In roy we trust!

This is not a rumour just an observation. In an interview given today by Roy Hodson he said "I haven't spoken to (managing director) Christian Purslow because he is in London with the rest of the board but I'm hoping that transfer will take place and the sooner the better," .I think Kirdi or huang are not front runners to take over. I am assuming there is unreported bidder quitely negotiating and have made substanial progress. If All board memebers are in London talking to the FA about the possible takeover, there will be the front runner presenting their proposal and financial capabilies. I am assuming the takeover is on track and should be concluded before the transfer window closes.

To use the player's you used; Gerrard is a 10, he runs the team, Torres 9.7, Carragher 9.5, will always give his all for the team, Cole 8.5, Kuyt 7, he tries hard but just isn't quality enough, Babel 5, N'Gog 6. He gets unfairly slated. He's only 22 and has great positioning, all he needs to do is start composing himself better. I agree we need a better backup at the minute for Torres, but he isn't too bad, gets goals and gets into the positions, but is still quite young.

Roy has stated in todays PC that he is happy with his summers business nd therefore dont expect too much more transfer activity. maybe 1 more attacking option(lukaku of anderlecht or conor wickham of ipswich). we simply dont have funds to buy top class striker and no champions league football aswell means roy needs to work with what hes got and steady the ship in which rafa was sinking. i expect some fringe players to leave shortly as roy stated today

I believe were only two world class or good players short of winning the league a winger and a striker,im getting worried about the take over, something just doesn't feel right, back to the players i would bring in on a low budget firstly i would put dirk and ryan and play them as strikers,i don't mind n'zogbia as the winger and lol the nutter with the putter as the striker and these im sure we could get on a tight budget.

13 Aug 2010 16:10:34
Hodgson to go for a LB and striker. Either:

Warnock and Bryan Ruiz

or

Figeuroa and Crouch/C. Cole

The thing is one of the two will be English, just a question of whether it's the LB or the striker. Personally, I'd prefer Warnock and Ruiz, but some of it depends on the price.

I think Ibrahimovic is overated, especially the money that he went to barca for (I think it was 40 mil and Eto) In my opinion should have been the other way round. However I do think he is good at what he does, a bit of a target man who can also score goals. If we had no budget or a budget of 20 mil plus I would probably shop else where but I would certainly take him as part of the Masch deal as I think he would work well with Torres and can also play up front on his own. The other reson I would take him is that I dont trust H&G to give us the full amount we get from the Mascherano Sale. In Fact Until the ownership is sorted out I would probably look for part exchanges in any of our dealings, ya know Ngog for money and Aguero Hahahaha! That sort of deal.

The new dawn that came with his appointment as Internazionale new manager seems to have come too soon for Rafael Benitez Maudes, the former Liverpool manager who-whether it was by his tactics, transfer dealings,or demeanor-divided opinion like never before seen at the Merseyside clube.

Apparently, the Merseyside Football Prosecuting Authority (MFPA) has officially charged the Spanish tactician on thirteen counts of:
-imprudent use of transfer funds
-flawed transfer policy
-poor man-management skills
-public outcries
-lack of passion
-over pomposity
-lack of faith in youth
-bad team selections
-costly tactics
-bizarre
-frustrating football
-regimented coaching approach
-manipulation and hoodwinking of Liverpool fans

Lead prosecutor Andy Gray revealed that the MFPA have six confirmed witnesses.Albert Riera,Ryan Babel and Robbie Keane, who all played under Benitez, will be giving player accounts,as football pundits,Jamie Redknapp and Paul Merson will provide expert testimonies, with Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp testifying as a transfer market guru.

Advocates Paul Tomkins and Guillem Balague will act as Benitez's representation at the trial, which is set to get underway on October 2 this year,at the Merseyside Football Crimes Tribunal.
Chief Justice Malcolm Glazer will be presiding officer, with jurors Martin O'Neill,Sam Alladyrce,Steve Bruce,Alex Ferguson and Alex Mcleish making up the jury.

Well, seems like Senor Benitez still got business unfinished on Merseyside.

If your against a particular player coming here then how about you voice a better reason than we dont want another teams "cast offs" etc

In response to the bloke saying that masch is worth £40m. That may be his value but that in no way means we will get that much for him.
1. He has just one year left on his contract meaning that he could leave us for free next July. This significantly decreases his value.
2. He is demanding a transfer. (has he handed in an official transfer request?) Again this lowers his value. Masch will be sold for 25m.

YNWA"

Hang on. This chest-thumping and flag-waving is all very good but surely completely naive?

City are the richest club in the world and have spent what, £300 million on players. Therefore they will have some good players who will not be in their 25, or first XI anyway.

They also finished ahead of us last year and I reckon they will do so again this year.

They are a smaller and less successful club, I agree, but they are richer and have better players. Who would you rather have. .

Ireland / Babel
Bellamy / Ngog
Robinho / Kuyt
Richards / Kyrgiakos
De Jong / Lucas

I'd be delighted if we signed any of those players who will struggle for a game at City next season but under the right stewardship (Roy), with good players around them (Gerrard, Torres, Cole, Johnson) and a run of games would definitely improve our team.

"Heres a question. .if gerard is rating 9.5 out of 10 and torres 9 out of 10. carraghar 8. kuyt 8. cole 8 or 9. babbel 6-7. .what rating wud u give ngog. and what exactly does he offer liverpool. i think hese our weak link. .make ur own post to answer this or press believable if u agree"

Here's (note apostrophe) an answer. If Gerrard (note double r) is 9.5/10 then Torres is about 9.6, Carragher (note e as penultimate letter) is about 5, Babel (note single b) is about 2.5 and Kuyt is about 2. Ngog is therefore about 2.3

Let's hope the Mascherano 15M plus hleb is just a rumour. I agree with some of the comments about Yaya and Mascherano being equals and we should receive no less than 25M for him. However, there are a lot of potential great players that are going rot at the end of the Barca bench and I think we should consider Bojan Krkic plus 16M OR Suarez plus 21M ! Suarez is in the mould of Pacheco but Suarez can be loaned out to asses his first team quality. Now Bojan will have his fellow Spainards in Nando and Pepe to help him fit in. This gives us the option to sell Babel or Kuyt(who I'd prefer not to) and still use Ngog in certain situations and Bojan in certain situations. Bojan would give us that "Chicharito" factor that the Manc's have.
Let's avoid Hleb as we've got Stevie, Aqua, Lucas, Cole, Pacheco and potentially another youngster such as Spearing as MID's. with Jova on the Left and Cole on the right at times with Kuyt, Bojan Krkic in the deal seems like the BEST DEAL for Liverpool to make!
Then sell Babel, Pleassis, Cavalieri (promote Gulaci), ElZhar, Itanje, and loan out Darby, Spearing, Eccelston, Amoo, Irwin, Robinson, Martin and then use some of the money to buy another trickster in Arda Turan and a capable LWB that will allow us to finish this puzzle and WIN THE TITLE!

I really don't think we will sign another LB, we have plenty of cover especially after Kelly impressed the other night. Javier Mascherano. I would like to talk about his transfer value.

Yaya Toure. 28million. Mascherano has a much better ability than Toure.
Cristiano Ronaldo. 80million. Mascherano has half the ability of Ronaldo.
Kaka. 55million. Mascherano is almost as good as Kaka.
If Mascherano is half the ability of Ronaldo then he should be worth 40million.
If he is much better than Yaya Tore then he should be worth 40million.
If he is almost as good as Kaka he should me worth 40million.
Barcelona and Internatzionale are making a mockery of us. Some reports suggest 20million! That is half of what our value should be. Arsenal can do it. They held out for 50million for Fabregas. Barcelona couldn't afford that and so gave up.
If we hold out for 40million, Internazionale will either drop their interest or have to pay us 40million, the same goes for Barcelona!

* The difference being that Fabregas is happy and prepared to stay and play for Arsenal for one more season and probably has a deal that he can go for a reasonable price then, Mach wants to go now, he doesnt want to play for LFC and therefore we do not want to be paying him, he is the type of player that would just refuse to play, Rafa valued him at £50m in order to do a deal like Fabregas now has, in which case last season was Mach agreeing to stay and now he wants to go. we should be getting £30m for him imo, he is the Argentinian captain! We have got a replacement in Poulsen so Id image a deal is being done somewhere, the longer it drags on the cheaper he could become though. .
Its not rocketscience

No idea if Hleb has been offered, but if he has - please - give the guy a chance - From memory, he was a good consistant performer for Arsenal - Quality final ball and can take people on (not great pace, but skillfull) and, lets be honest, look when he moved to Barca - At the time of his transfer, they were unplayable, therefore he must have been producing something good !

Just like to put a few people on here at ease for a few days so we can enjoy beating arsenal on sunday.

As i stated a few days ago neither kenny or kirdis bid will be accepted. Why do you think he is talking to supporters groups, and the other one is blabbing all over the press.

Because like i have stated before harris is fronting the only suitable bid from Kuwait as well as being the only ones to abide by the agreements that were signed they are the only ones that dont need the fans to back them like kirdi and kenny do as we will all love them when it comes out in the wash on sunday morning.

The future is bright very bright the future is wearing a shemag.

Some Rumours on this site are ridiculous!
Simon Kjaer. He has gone to Wolfsburg.
Arda Turan. He is cup-tied.
Adam Federici. He is old and not up to top 4 standard.

Real Rumours.
Connor Wickham-7-10million. Tall. Can turn well. Can score tap-ins or 30 yarders. English and only 17!

Remy. -13million. Goalscoring ability. Liverpool scouts watched him along with 7 other premier league scouts when he played for France against Norway.

Banega-10-15million. Considering Valencia bought him for 18million. We would have to may alot for him. The same player as Mascherano, but, can pass and is younger. Xabi Alonso and Mascherano rolled into one.

Brad Jones-3million and we have got him. 2nd choice keeper for the Aussies behind Schwarzer.

JamseyBoY.

At the age of 25 i wouldn't class Federici Old

Sorry this is nothing to do with Liverpool or rumours just something i won't to clear up, i've watched Ibrahimovic play many times and i cannot see what the big deal is, i don't claim to be the most knowledgable football fan but i just don't see how he is so highly rated! I just hope that if we do come into some money then we don't waste it on him!

Please click believable if you agree with me that he isn't a great player and unbelievable if you think i'm wrong (my wife say's i always am) and he is a good player

Either way let's all hope we have a great season and get back our Champions league place, new owners, and great new future, YNWA.

13 Aug 2010 12:58:17
I think liverpool should be looking to bring in two strikers, winger and IF insua leaves then a left back.

The best options i believe would be to bring in N'zogbia who has handed in a transfer request. Great player who is still only young with premierleague experience. He can play LW RW or even LB if needs be.

The strikeing options could be craig bellamy from city? would be available on loan or for cheap however, may have problems getting city to sell to us or another option is roque santa cruz? with robinho, teves, adebayor and balotelli upfront for city it surely leaves no room for him?

I saw this posted last night by a very well respected RAWK member (Bamba):

Possibly my last bulletin on this 'ere takeover - I certainly hope so. The Huang bid has been presented to Barcap. There'll be a little to-ing and fro-ing as Barcap inevitably try to persuade them to increase their offer. Over the next 24 hours Huang & co will get to a point where they say "this is it - this is as high as we're prepared to go". Offer will go to LFC board - possibly even tomorrow. Therefore, logically, there's not much more your Uncle Bamba can tell you. The next we'll hear from now on in will come when an Official source announces that the bid has been accepted - or not. Here's hoping.

RH will not be looking to bolster defence cuz he feels that we already have enough talent there CB-agger,skrtel,carra,kelly,wilson
RB-johnson,kelly,carra
LB-aurelio,agger,kelly
and so he is looking to bring in a striker which is a must(bryan ruiz12.5mil,loic remy13mil and possibly huntelaar16mil) a winger(arda turan15mil-very likely,recommended by dalglish) and a defensive mid.(banega12mil,gago14mil)
if u r wondering where hes goin to get d cash, apparently rafa is very keen to bring mash and kuyt to milan and liverpool are willing to let them go for 40 mil.and aquilani is goin nowhere RH has big plans for him, turan will be bought to replace kuyt.

Your Dad is a youth "TRAINEE" at Arsenal. Wow that's amazing, considering your Dad is a "TRAINEE" at Arsenal, I'm well impressed that you're able to use a computer at 1 to 3 years of age :)

(Before everyone gets upset, I'm sure he actually meant to say trainer)

But on a more serious note, how & why would an Arsenal training coach have any knowledge of Liverpools transfer targets?

What the hell are we playing at , have we Liverpool fans lowered our sights so much that some people get excited at the prospect of Crouch returning, he is not a even first choice at Spurs? That we will get rid our Masc, and take a second rater Hleb as a make weight in the deal?. We have purchsed Poulson again a player who could not get a regular game for his last club, and is at the very end of his career .

Seems to me we re selling player but the replacements that we are paying for are no better, if not worse.

Give the young players a chance, forget Crouch, SWP , Hleb and co. all not good enough for the Pool . That is unless we are ready to settle for mid table obscurity.

Hodgson is looking for:
Full Back - Wayne Bridge/Micah Richards/Steven Warnock £8mil
Replacement for Mascherano as Poulsen isnt good enough - Ever Banega/Gago/Steven Ireland £10mil
Striker to partner Torres - Bellamy/Robinho

A lot of Man City players will be leaving as they are unhappy and also need to cut their squad!

After the Arsenal match, Liverpool will start to wrap up all potential signings and Hodgson will start to build his back room staff. As Mark Hughes has now been appointed Fulham manager, apart from Ray Lewington, all of Hodgson's Fulham coaches have left the club. His former assisant and goalkeeping coach Mike Kelly will join and will become his assistant alone with Sammy Lee becoming First Team Coach. Reserve team goalkeeping coach John Achterberg will become First Team Goalkeeping coach. Any other coaches who have just left Fulham will join.

Latest update from RAWK by BAMBA

Bamba has been extremely accurate up to now - will be interesting to see what emerges over weekend but still like to know where / how Keith Harris fits into the picture??

Lets put s few things straight:
Maxi WILL NOT be leaving this summer - Due to FIFA / UEFA regulations, you cannot play for 3 clubs in a calender year, so the earliest he can move will be January 2011 and, if LFC are doing well, why would he want too ! I personally think we should do our best to keep him - He rarely loses possesion and works his socks off for the team - Good tackler and will start to score (his record at Atl. Madrid was great).

Kuyt - Will not be leaving - he has stated himself he does not want to go and, atho personally not a massive fan, his ability to play in several positions will prove a bonus this year - Think we may see him up front !

Masch - Will leave - Juve will pay £25m for him

13 Aug 2010 10:58:52
I dont want hleb, barca should pay the full 25-30m then we can buy a decent striking partner for torres or backup such as suarez, and give youngsters ago like pacheco the one to watch this season,
that way nr 19 will be a peace of piss.

There is a small diagreement between Purslow and Hodgson over the sale of Javier Mascherano, nothing serious or violent, just a little disagreement. Purslow would prefer to accept a player plus cash offer from Barcelona to spite Rafa Benitez after he publically accused Purslow of his departure, whereas Hodgson would obviously prefer to sell to Inter as they are offering a straight cash deal which is more attractive to Hodgson to sign more players. The hold up is due is because of the impending sale of Mario Ballotelli to Man City as Inter need that money to sign Mascherano.
As soon as Mascherano is sold, Hodgson wants to use that money to sign 2 players, Loic Remy and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Yeah I can imagine Roy saying to Kenny - "Go have a look at that boy Duff. I know he played under me at Fulham for a season or two, but for the life of me I can't remember if he was any good. I don't even know what his first name was. Go over to Eire and have a gander at him."
Somehow I doubt it. I'm sure Roy doesn't need to be told about a player he previously managed. Good luck getting your balls back.

Have just read the Kenny Haung report on Sky sports news and i interprete it as that there is a Syrian bid (kirdi) who we all know about and a middle eastesn bid i thought that they were part of the Kirdi bid so does that mean that there is a completely seperate bid from a middle east consortium?

Can anyone help ED?

You talk about transfer "kitty" like children in the school yard or girls in the office canteen. Ye'all sound like Boardman on here. There is no kitty, that's not how a football club works, comings & goings, salaries, fees, overdrafts etc etc have to taken into consideration by the clubs finance dept after Roy has identified who he would like to have and take it from there. As for Hleb, I thought he was fantastic at Arsenal. Roy has to be allowed to bring a few of his own, and we need to trust him that he knows what he's doing & he'll get the best out of them (remember Garry McAllister) God knows our last manager was allowed enough mistakes over the years. How Roy would like to have available to him the funds that Rafa had each year despite all his whinging.

Is true or what

13 Aug 2010 10:28:47
If the reports are true that Hicks and Gillett face upto £60 million in bills if the club is not sold by October 6th, maybe this is why potential buyers have recently stated they need more time, to panic them cowboys into accepting lower offers (though the death of the mother of Al Qassim (thought to be part of Kirdi's group) may also have affected their offer)

Despite all this, I remain confident that under Roy's management the team will fair far better than last season!

Why is everyone saying that the takeover won't be completed by the end of the month, where have you got these ideas from? The reason why is hasn't been completed yet is because of the 10 day takeover rule, we notified the prem on the 3rd of August, so the takeover cannot be completed until today, I am not saying that it will happen today, just that it will probably be finalised way before the end of the month

Why would Liverpool waste money on Carlton Cole.
Better get someone young and more Promising eg Remy, Ruiz, Suarez, Muller etc
Lfc 4 Life"

Well, first off - Cole has Premiership experience and is English.

Secondly, I think Liverpool were offering far less than the £20M West Ham wanted - so, it won't be happening.

Also, the likes of Suarez and Mueller would cost a lot more than we currently have. Suarez is expected to fetch about £25-£30M and Mueller would be even more (I suspect). I also think that Mueller, much like Schweinsteiger (sp?), would be very unlikely to move from Bayern and especially to a team that could only offer Europa League.

Someone also mentioned picking up Higuain for about £15-£20M - no chance, he's worth a lot more than that. Now that Mourinho is at Real, Higuain has been given an improved contract and is firmly placed in the starting 11.

Mario balotelli is at man city £23 million,Mascha needs to make up his mind where he wants to go,i'd try a sneaky £8m bid for Barry, does a job in the prem, turan on the wing for £12m class, kjaer along side agger in def,or blow the lot on Aguero

13 Aug 2010 09:53:05
So Marco Balotelli is on his way to City for a medical.
If Inter get their finger out maybe they could pip Barcelona to the signing of Mascherano, then we wouldn't have to take Hleb as a makeweight. I'd much prefer to take £20-25M in cash to spend as we want to spend it. Hleb is a decent player, but I don't see him fitting into our team, especially when there are other areas that need attending to first.

13 Aug 2010 09:53:05
Apparently, we're going to be adding another £20M to our debt should the club remain unsold by the end of August. This would be a 'ticking fee'.

Obviously, this could mean that any transfer we recieve for Maschie could be swallowed up by the owners to cover this, or they'll just add it onto the huge amount the club already owes. If the plan is to use the Maschie transfer for this, I suspect the Hleb deal could be genuine - at least Roy would get an extra player in the deal.

I've obviously no idea whether there'll be any news about the takeover today (or over the next two weeks), but this news just reminds me how much the takeover is needed. We need to get these clowns out of our club as soon as possible.

My gut feeling says that we won't have new owners before the end of the transfer window, but - for the good of the club - we need to get this sorted out. It'd be so much better if we don't have this hanging over us for a large part of the season. Right now, we need the players to be feeling confident and at ease - constant rumour and speculation will only detract from the actual football.

Parma Violet.

GEORGE GILLETT and Tom Hicks will have to pay the Royal Bank of Scotland a £20million penalty if they do not sell Liverpool by the end of the month.
And with a takeover now unlikely to be completed before the end of August, despite Chinese entrepreneur Kenny Huang publicly confirming his interest yesterday, the payment will merely add to the two American owners' money worries. The state-owned RBS will benefit from the fees, but the size of the bill is another stark indication that the bank is fed up with the constant prevarication from Gillett and Hicks in their attempts to sell Liverpool.
Hodgson could do with £20m in the transfer market.

£20m penalty if they do not sell by the end of the month. very intresting ? where did you read or get this info. thanks

DAILY TELEGRAPH TODAY - The mess H&G are in is unreal - they have also tried to ensure Kop Holdings is seperate from the rest of their empire so if it falls as the Texas Rangers did they are protected - it looks like RBS were on to this and made a little insurance policy against them! If they still own LFC on 31-August this is a personal penalty to them and not the club who is already paying £2.5m in interest per week to RBS to keep the Americans out of trouble - and everyone wonders why we cannot pay for big name players.

The sale of the club is actually paramount now - the issue for all LFC fans is - are the new owners funds leveraged, to what level and by who - if the leverage levels are even 50% of G&H's we will only be in the same trouble in a few years time unless within 12months of the sale a new stadium is built and in use - this is what G&H were meant to do but didn't. NOTE - The capacity of Old Trafford is all that is saving Manure from the same problems and even that could be an issue for them!

Liverpool could be slapped with a £20 million penalty in fees by the Royal Bank of Scotland if the club failed to find a buyer by the end of August. Fortunately for the club, the fines will be against the co-owners instead of the club and were put in place by the bank to force through a change of ownership as soon as possible.

Hicks and Gillett are also reportedly personally liable for more punitive interest charges which RBS intends to take out of any sale proceeds of the club, which could explain the Americans' reluctance to accept the figures thrown around by potential bidders so far as they would not only fail to gather any profits, but also not cover the extra fees, especially if the sale amount falls below the £282.4 million total debt owed.

It was also reported by the Telegraph that the Americans' desire to hold out for a £600 million deal was to ensure enough could be made from the sale to cover liabilities suffered in their business empires back home. However, with Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi insisting that he would not pay a pound over his own valuation of the club, coupled with Chinese billionaire Kenny Huang's reported offer of just £400 million, the co-owners will not be pressured into making a decision regardless.

Meanwhile, Huang revealed in an interview published in China's Love Basketball magazine that he had already had an outline proposal approved by Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton and the board but admitted that he was only "50 per cent" confident of a successful takeover.

The Chinese businessman also attempted to assure readers that his offer was genuine and had backing from significant backers with sufficient funds, although he failed once again to reveal any details, claiming that he had already signed a confidentiality agreement with the Anfield club.

"We have signed a confidentiality clause with regards to the acquisition of Liverpool," Huang told the magazine.

"I am 50 per cent confident we will acquire the club. We have provided a large number of documents. Liverpool's board has approved our proposal and we will have an answer in less than 10 days.

"Liverpool's board have given us a positive response, but there are still plenty of unknowns. Our competitors are very strong and the board has not confirmed they will accept us. There are rivals from North America and the Middle East. We still have some distance to go, but we were informed the board regard our proposal as acceptable in the macro."

Huang also denied that he would drop his interest at the end the of week if a deal was not completed and named Yang Guang as his partner and advisor in the deal.

Someone may remember that the Norwegian international Erik Huseklepp was connectet with at transfer to LFC around christmas. Well now its heating up again. Several clubs are after him and according to someone close to his agent, mr. Lillejord, Liverpool is in the front seat.

On wednesday he scored 2 fine goals against France and he is playing very well in the Norwegian premier League for Brann Bergen.

Another important thing is that the striker has an agreement with Brann Bergen that he can move for a fee of only 1,5 million £.

Other clubs like Tottenham, Rangers and Blackburn is also very keen on the player. So this could go either way.

Personally I have followed this player for years as I am from Bergen and holds season tickets to Brann Stadium. I rate the player as not anywhere near the likes of Torres in abilities but clearly a better player than N`Gog.

This is on The Guardian football website

No firm bids to buy Liverpool are expected to be made tomorrow, the self-imposed deadline by which the club's chairman, Martin Broughton, said he hoped to receive solid offers. Yahya Kirdi, the Syrian businessman based in Canada, continues to express a positive interest but if, as has been claimed, his financial backers are members of the ruling family of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, any firm bid from him is certain to be delayed.

Yesterday the family announced the death at 95 of Sheikha Maryam al-Shamsi, the mother of Sharjah's ruler, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qassimi. All members of the family will now observe seven days mourning during which no business will be conducted.

So it is up to Kenny & CIC now ?? lets see what today actually does bring. myself I would prefer the chinese bid & so would The Spirit of Shankly.

Spanish giants Barcelona are set to land Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano, after striking a deal with the Reds, according to reports.

The deal will be comprised of a player-plus-cash offer, with the Anfield outfit set to receive midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb and approximately €15 million for the Argentina captain, according to Ole.

The report also claims that the player's agent has already met with Barcelona officials, and confirmation of the deal could come in the next few days.

Mascherano had recently expressed his desire to leave the Reds and join the Spanish side, or reunite with former coach Rafael Benitez at European champions Inter.

The Blaugrana were seeking another midfielder, after Yaya Toure departed the Camp Nou for Manchester City during the summer.

First of all I am a proud Liverpool supporter and i think that some of these rumors are just unrealistic. In my opinion the club will not be taken over at least until the end of the month. The club has obviously had some offers but i still don't know if any of the potential owners really want what is best for the club.

Mascherano will most likely be sold but i don't know if a swap deal with Hleb is the best choice for the club. Brad Jones could be good but being an Australian i feel that the future socceroos first team keeper should be playing more first team football.

We have already made 5 signings with some future talent and i feel that all that the club needs now is a striker and possibly still a left back if the Insua deal goes through. A good striker will cost at least 15 mil so i think this should be the benchmark.

Carlton Cole - I don't think he will cut it
Bryan Ruiz - Seems like he would be ideal with a decent strike record
Peter Crouch - I personally liked him but don't know if he is the right partner for torres
Loic Remy - May be one of the better options with a bright looking future ahead of him

Despite this i still believe David N'Gog will have a great career ands just needs some more playing time and the right coaching and direction

NEW YORK, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Royal Bank of Scotland, a major creditor of English soccer club Liverpool Football Club, is supporting the club's sale by offering financing to potential buyers, banking sources familiar with the matter said.

Banking sources said that RBS was discussing financing terms with potential lenders before Friday's bid deadline.

"RBS is trying to facilitate the sale as much as possible and has even offered price talk of 500 basis points (bps) over LIBOR on the potential financing," one of the bankers said.

RBS could not immediately be reached for comment.

Creditors originally asked Liverpool FC's two owners, sports tycoons Tom Hicks and George Gillett, to pay down 100 million pounds ($157.5 million) of its debt of around 250 million pounds.

The two could not make the payment and the debt financing was amended and extended "at least six times" since 2008 before the club was put up for sale in April.

Several Middle Eastern buyers expressed interest but the owners could not agree a purchase price, the bankers said.

Barclays Capital is handling the auction process and bidders have been asked to submit bids with proof of financing on Friday, the bankers said.

The club is expected to fetch a price tag of around 400 million pounds or more, the bankers added.

According to British media reports, as many as six potential parties are looking to buy the 18-times English league champions.

One of those is Chinese-born American businessman Kenny Huang, who is said to have teamed up with China's sovereign wealth fund, China Investment Corp. [ID:nSGE67503F]

Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi said last week he was in the final stages of negotiations to buy Liverpool. ($1=.6350 POUND)

For starters Hleb is not coming to LFC in part exchange for Masch plus 15m. Some people believe to much media bullsh!t.
Secondly some people seem to think Maxi is going to transfer OUT from their mock up squads they post. ('IN's' and 'OUT's'). Maxi cannot transfer, he is transfer banned.
Thirdly there must be a lot of Everton supporters coming on and ruining our site because there is so much sh!t posted on here. Or some of us Red fans are just a bit delusional.
Finally I do believe the sale will be pushed through before the end of the window. I cant see the RBS allowing G&H to postpone the sale to Huang much longer. . .I'm 90% sure that they will be forced to sell the club to Huang who is favoured by the Spirit of Shankly and the majority of the fans. And as a final twist a possible high profile signing before the end of the window. IMO.

Stefan jovetic,no news on him. what i have been told is that kenny huang's consortium bid will be accepted by the board tommorow, after initial talks with barclays proved positive today,he also, through a representative showed the liverpool board the funds in which he has been allocated. .i havnt heard a price but i was told it was way above the figure first mentioned to push through a deal. .was also told that the syrians bid was greater although did not have the backing that huang possesed, therefore it could not be turned down. .G&H have untill october to sell, and the nearer it gets, the greater they lose after RBS yesterday confirmed to them that there would be no more re-financing come october. .im just passing on what ive heard so dont shoot me just yet!and im not one for takeover news, this is just what ive been told tonight. .im glad though because it finally looks like an end to all this crap!!

Hey guys. I would like all of you to think about this.
Roy was given a transfer kitty of 15million, Plus cash from all sales which is equal to around 25( assuming insua's sale goes through. He has insisted that an lb,replacement for masch, and striker to support torres would do to bring the club back into contention. I think he s absolutely right. Now the takeover saga has added to the confusion but it now looks clear that its unlikely before the end of the month.
Roy hence has to continue with his bargain buys. Poulsen-4.5 with an initial payment of 2.5. So we have still 22 left. Why is it tat any potential buy depends on masch's exit, and cash obtained from tat. We are in desperate need for a striker even for the first game, which is a must win. Why havnt we gone ahead and signed one ? With 20k available.
Lb Can be bought with the cash obtained from masch.s sale isnt it ?
This brings me to question which I wish all of you would answer.
Is the transfer kitty of 15m true or the yanks have fooled us and roy again? Roy is an honourable man. Am sure he can work with whats in hand , without fussing. But the club needs some more quality.

Is Yaya Toure worth more than Javier Mascherano?
Liverpool will not sell Masch for a fee less than 20M. . .
Maxi to Espanyol -2M
Lucas to Palermo -8M
Insua to Genoa -5M
Kuyt to Inter. . Pretty soon
Possible Ins
Turan,Remy,C.Cole,P.Crouch and L.Young
YOU'LL NEVER NILE ALONE

More about the two T* TS

I dont know if this is a rumor its just me applying common sense. We've heard rumblings that Aqualani could go back to Italy. Now with Hleb coming here this seems more likely. Hleb can play wing so its not like that have to sell Aqualani but it makes sense. My thinking is this:

Mascherano out for 15 plus Hleb
Pulson in for 5, leaving 10 from the Masch deal
Aqualani out for hopefully 10 or so.

That could give us 20 mil to spend on an attacking player. These numbers arent exact but it seems like if we sell Aqualani we should have somewhere between 18-22 mil to sign another player.

First of all can I just say that Dalglish was at the Ireland - Argentina match to watch Emiliano Insua, however would have been able to send back a glowing report on Fernando Gago, the man of the match.

Stevsn Jovetic!!! Thats like saying messi is coming to Anfeild for a fee of a big mac meal. Fiorentina already turned down a deal of 25 mil for him. The only two positions RH is looking for is a left back and a striker. Huntelaar anf brian ruiz are high on the list for a striker. Carlton Cole will never come to anfeild until he can prove hes worth that price tag. Hodgson at least wants some one who will guarantee 15-18 goals in the premier league. Theres talk of Aguero and that has been discussed but i doubt the board can afford him, if yes thenwe can be a great team and play keep away with Chelsea for him.

BREAKING NEWS: Danny Wilson may start against Arsenal due the Greek having fitness issues and Agger taking a minor knock. This isn't definite though my source tells me as Martin Skrtel would be standing in the way.

TRANSFER TALK:
DEFINITES: Brad Jones - Liverpool for 2 million.

LIKELY: I can confirm that a deal has been agreed between Barca and the Reds for the services of Argentine captain Javier Mascherano - the deal being 14 million and hleb. Personal terms still have to be agreed and the transfer isn't definite though.

RUMOURS: If the Mascherano deal goes through then Maxi Rodriguez may ask for a transfer with Espanyol ready to pounce. Also Roy Hodgson may make a move for Bulgarian Stillyan Petrov.

I'll keep you updated

Seriously Stevan Jovetic the Montenegran Messi! oh only he's injured and ruled out for the next 8 months.

For god sake and the amount of people that post rumours that they've just seen on news now from some of the most unreliable websites like tribal and goal.com is ridiculous.

As a fanatical Liverpool fan, hello to all fellow kopites. All this delay over the take-over is typical of the yanks trying to scew every last dime out of the club, its simple, if you want to sell and you have a buyer with sufficient funds, then get on with it, you are doing the club, the spirit, the way of life, no good whatsoever. What chance does Roy stand with all this goin on in the background. Right, onto transfer rumours, firstly Cisse, Owen, Bellamy, Riise, are not coming back, simple as. Roy is not going to sign anyone from Fulham either. 'Kun' has already confessed to Athletico that he wants the move to Anfield, H+G are willing to make this signing as long as the new prospective buyers include the transfer amount of 'Kun' in the buying price. This is the truth. To finish of, all these rumours of MASCH now wanting to stay, don't be so niave, he's wanted an escape for the last 2 years, no player is bigger than the club, if he wants out then let him move. After last seasons finish, trust me, that will not happen again anytime soon. Always believe and most importantly, FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BOLD, IN ROY WE TRUST.

I just want 2 say to everyone that comes on hear tell'n lies about lfc takeover. 1 thing i do no that no1 no's who wil takeover the club. So the likes blair mayne and co. No1 will no who will buy the club except the 5 board members

You're spot on with the 5 board members BUT you forgot about RBS, Barcleys and Barcap i think they might know somthing to. After all they are dealing with the sale of the club.

I think a REAL and smart LFC fan would have known that!

If the mascherano to barca for 15mil+hleb is true, then I think this would be a decent bit of business. Hleb is a high quality wide man. If he came I could see him as our starting right midfielder and dirk kuyt could then move to his natural position of striker. This would give us more depth at each of those positions. We could then use the 15m + 5m when we sell insua to buy a top left back such as contreao.
