Appalling performance defensively, absolutely shocking. Haven’t felt this nervous about having a 1 goal lead for a very long time.

On a plus note we looked decent going forward and Salah is looking very very sharp.

YNWA.

Hopefully its just opening day rust but it was shocking to watch. Allison doesn't look himself since they've started back.

It was like watching us pre Van Dyke. 3 points on the board but watching us this season will not be boring.

Their third was telling: halfpoor throw, Mo switches off, Gini halfhearted effort, Fab is nowhere to be found, Van Dijk goes headless, Jones is zoned out and doesn't pick up the run. Lucky to have Mo, good to have the mentality we do.

Can only get bettet, but desperatly need to get better for the next game.

Salah is back to his 2017 best, but so was our defence.

Alisson couldn't have done anything about those goals. The defeding was horrendous.

looked like a pre season friendly!
sloppy passing, poor defending and trying passes that just were not on.

Early days and some real positives.

In fairness Leeds played their part and 3 points is 3 points!

We were all over the place defensively for each of the 3 goals and those errors were punished but let's not go into panic mode. Over 90 mins we did not see Leeds cut us to pieces, they scored from every chance they had and aside from those 3 lapses we didn't allow Leeds to threaten our goal much. We caught them offside numerous times which I feel made many of us nervous and thinking that they were getting in behind regularly which they weren't.

It reminded me of the Norwich opening day last season where we won 4-1 but in fact that day Norwich actually threatened more than today. Leeds were clinical and punished our mistakes but to let the opposition only have 3 attempts on target over 90 mins isn't exactly a major issue. Considering Leeds had so much possession they could only get chances when we made errors that were out ofcharacter. VVD or Trent will not play as poor as that again and I expect they will learn from those lapses.

On a positive note I thought we could have scored 7 or 8 and we still looked dangerous despite midfield and full backs not even at their best. Let's not overreact and instead look forward to next fixture. 3 points in the bag, salah full of confidence, no injuries and we now can learn lessons and work on things that might benefit our defensive focus going forward.

Simply well done Leeds Utd. Played liked a seasoned premier league team. They wanted a result, played us at our own game and out possessed us at home.

Lucky 3 points today, let's just hope it was an off day for us. Salah today was outstanding, movement, dribbling and of course the hat trick hero.

As well as the defence Firmino has lost all confidence in front of goal. He had a shocker.

Honestly, Leeds deserved something from the game for their efforts. They didn't sit back and defend and tried hard everytime we scored. But let's hope we learn well from this game to bring us to greater heights. 3 points in the bag, we go again!

3pts but not very convincing at all. Good to see Mo back to his best.
Our back four were shocking and Wijnaldum seemed to just run round like a headless chicken all game!
I don’t understand why Jürgen didn’t replace him with Minamino who’s looked vastly improved, energetic, and one of our best players during pre season.
Bobby needs to be a lot more clinical and aggressive in front of goal. We need a lot more goals from him this season.
Hopefully we can put things right before the Chelsea game .

The elephant in the room is how awful Keita was. Didn’t look up to it I’m afraid. If we’d have started with Fabinho, Henderson and Wijnaldum Leeds would not have scored three. As it was having to carry Keita our far too much work on Henderson and Wijnaldum.

@6Times I think you're sort of right. This was a bad match to start with Keita and such a high line. This gave no cover to our defense and kept leaving them in two-on-one and three-on-one situations. IMHO it was a tactical error in our set-up. Keita's stats for the game were very poor but I'll put some of it down to first game jitters as well. Mo was (as everyone has said) the best player on the pitch but our frailties showed. let's hope JK manages to change those frailties to strengths as soon as possible.

Going to be a long hard season this, the 12th man is missing and it shows. I expected Leeds to go all at it, their style of play is exactly that and they pressed, they will do OK this year and suprise a lot of people, I was hoping to see Brewster on loan there if he isn't going to be given a chance this year with the first team, would suit him and our style of play.

So does Gini get a free ride again? More experienced than Keita in this league but apparently the "job" he does in midfield justifies his wages every week? Fab and Curtis came on and did far more in the time they had compared to Gini? Oh but he scores in big games my bad, guess this wasn't that big a game huh? Every games a big game when you're challenging like we are these days.

It's obvious signings need to happen, Gomez for me is a back up CB, Matip is too injury prone to be relied on for a whole season, feels like an injury to Van Dijk (or Salah or mane) our season over, can't see City dropping points again like they did last season so a couple of draws like today very nearly was could be all it takes to lose out on the title. We need a starting CB and another forward. I don't understand how if FFP even exists anymore Chelsea can be dropping £250m on players and we only have £11m for a back up left back in the bank. Really concerning performances right back to before the lockdown when we lost to Watford .

Salah was awesome, best I've seen him play for a while. Looked well up for it, stronger and less likely to be shoved off the ball easily; and his shooting and dribbling was on fire. Great game for a neutral but I guess we can now see why Klopp wants another central defender. VVD is becoming complacent and is making a lot of errors so needs cometition for places to keep him at the top of his game. If I was Matip, I'd be thinking what needs to happen for me to get a chance. Firmino should also feel slightly under pressure as he doesn't score enough and his link up play wasnt great. That wasnt a game for Keita as we know he leaves holes and doesn't track back. Play him in the games where we have the possession and need to break down teams not in high pressure games.

Not well done Leeds, these were there for the taking, should have beat them at least 6-0. I'm pretty sure Jurgen will have them in today to work out the problems they made for themselves.

Have it on good authority from a friend in German football that the Thiago situation is very much a case of him being undecided between staying at Bayern or coming to us and as it stands the ball is in his court.

Move along nottin to see here! Won’t be any in’s till outs as klopp said yesterday this club spends what it earns and as 02 has put too us they’re isn’t fook all about for us to spend at present!

If Bayern want anywhere near 40m for a player that’s going to be available to sign for free in jan (to join in the following summer) then they’re in over their head. Imagine we valued Gini at £30+mill, clubs would think we’re crazy and over pricing our players, but when other clubs do it, it’s just them trying to get the most value for money.
