susaeta is so over rated will be a good way for us to waste 15mill if we can even get him i hope we buy Sigurdsson in nearly half the games he has made more difference for swansea then susaeta has made all season less of a risk in my opinion as we have seen him in the league and no he can handle it

Susaeta is not over rated, he is getting praise where it is deserved and sigurdson is not better than Susaeta you have obviously watched him minimal times.

How many times have we tried these one season wonders thought that are prem proven....

Just cos sigurdsson had 1 good season in the prem for swansea doesn't mean he's good enough. I'm not saying he's a bad plaayer I'm just trying to say he still isn't a proven premier league player, just look at adam, henderson, carroll and keane, they were all signed on the same basis you just proposed

Someone needs to start watching football

I totally agree, let's just get ronaldo who's proven on all stages.

Just wanna say honestly sigurdson is pure quality, all the big prem teams missed out when he joined hoffenheim. I have watched him live loads, he has everything apart from pace

Susaeta is a winger, Sigurdsson is a CAM and apples are better than oranges.

It's fantastic to see a true footballing connoisseur come on here and give a glowing insight into world football. It's what we need more of.

I really hope that you pass your C.V. on to Old Trafford with the genuine expectation of you getting the chief scout's job. That way we can guarantee that Utd never get that far ahead of us.

Aye okay whatever you say mate ;)

Do I have to remind you about Charlie Adam? Amazing 1st season with Blackpool in prem league... Hmmm wonder what happened at Liverpool. Possibly one of the worst performing player in the prem this season

Charlie Adam had a good year Blackpool and now look at him. Susaeta would be a great signing.

Charlie Adam didn't make one tackle for Blackpool, for that position u need to spend big or u will always come up short

12 May 2012 22:47:46
to be perfectly honest all we need is de jong/soldado or giroud as a striker only one of them. also we need a right mid-belhanda/muniain/james rodriguez/eriksen or susaeta.

Well that's two things for a start.

Dirks Engine Room

I'd take one of those strikers you just listed plus jackson martinez.

12 May 2012 22:15:56
eds can you see us going after any Bilbao players in the summer? {Ed022's Note - According to speculation Liverpool like the look of pretty much every one of their players. In real life, Liverpool are interested in Muniain and Susaeta mainly, but perhaps Martinez and DeMarcos but that isn't confirmed.}

Would love Munian hows are chances eds plus I note the club really wants him by the looks of it as macca normally names players who we really go after and bid for {Ed022's Note - Our chances are possible, but not likely.}

Ed, how many of this season's first team players, will Bilbao have at the end of the transfer season?

Keith {Ed002's Note - Most of them.}

12 May 2012 21:41:27
Would love Tixi Bergistain at the club. I hope Balague was letting us know that he is en'route to Anfield. In my opinion, we couldn't get a better DOF.

Fingers crossed.......

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

While I would also love it, I can't help but think that what worked there may not have the same success here. Fingers crossed if it goes through though!

And he likes yo bring in young players for the academy.

12 May 2012 21:34:18
do you think there will be any chance of liverpool going for :
dempsey
hoillet
susaeta
soldado {Ed002's Note - I expect interest; very doubtful; yes; yes.}

12 May 2012 21:31:36
luke de jong is defo signing, PSG are going to test our resolve for suarez and come in on a starting bid of 40mill. KD WILL GET ONE MORE SEASON.

This is made up... Everyone with a brain would know Liverpool would reject the first attempt to buy Suarez. So for psg to come in at 40m first time is stupid as they will have to increase before Liverpool talks. Any bid would start at 30m and pushed up to 35m.

12 May 2012 21:25:31
liverpool are on the verge of signing heart of midlothian ace rudi skacel. goal machine.

At 32 years old? That doesn't really fit in with the "transfer policy". Not a chance! {Ed022's Note - Bellamy?}

5 goals in 80 or so appearances for southampton probably suggests he is no goal machine either

12 May 2012 21:01:57
Please guys let's be realistic about future transfers,the names that are been mentioned will not join LFC without champions league football or a league challenge,both are still 2/3 years away.KK will be given 1 more year so the owners sort the backroom/stadium plans out,then with the club stabilised a younger manager will take over.

Cole,aqua will be sold or loaned again
Maxi,kuyt will also leave,Adam also if his purchased fee is matched.
Suarez may not have a choice and may leave if a large offer comes in,the owners are very upset with the evra problem.
No big name signings only promising younger players with a combined fee of around 20 million(plus and Suarez replacement if he goes)
The owners are sound business men with a winning mentality only success will bring them the money/ success required so come on fellow reds get behind the team manager and owners.
We are Liverpool not fickle utd or glory hunting city fans.

YNWA seasoned fan for 40 years.

I don't think Suarez would be used as the model for the new kit if the intention was to sell him?

If FSG sell suarez then they can fark right off. He is the first decent skillful player we have had in decades. They sell him, then in my books they are just as bad as HG..As if we will ever get anyone with even half his skills wanting to join us at the moment. He is the only thing worth watching at LFC. Downing, Adam Hendo, Bellamy, Yeah bring on the boredom.....

If he wasn't everyone would say that's it he's gone,but we always stand by our players regardless it's the Liverpool way

I hardly think bellamy is a boring player cant argue with the rest tho

Depending on arrivals to the 1st team i'd keep Cole, Aqua and Maxi for Europa league

54D13R

If we get 40 mil for suarez I say sell... yes he's absolutely brilliant, but 40 mil? Think about the Torres sell. A lot of fans were upset but once the dust settled that 50 mil looked awful nice, whether the club wasted it or not. I love watching him play but let's be realistic here. That's quite a good bit of business considering the 20 mil we paid for him.

Don't hate me :) I love this club and want to see us succeed. Just my opinion.

AmRed

Speculate to accumulate
man. city 1 fa cup +1epl= 930m
lfc 1 c. cup= 120m,if we really are
ambitious its gonna take the same
again and again,you can't win the
league on the never never, we need
to get out of this timewarp we've
been in for 20 odd years were
we need to get 4th, if fsg have got any ambition the need to
compete otherwise you get left
behind, time waits for no man....

12 May 2012 20:55:18
Wat r chances of doing a deal for hazard swoping cole and other waste players plus cash only both Manchester clubs are better but to compete with them we need decent players like him also Wat bout adra turan Diego and hernananas {Ed002's Note - No chance.}

Has chelsea got a chance?

Is hazard going to city

Thanks {Ed022's Note - Search function = omniscient.}

And tottenham

What about you posting in English, not t'ext gobbledygook'.

If lfc are serious about getting
back to the top they need to be
fighting for eden hazard's
signature, if they are not they
can't be serious,the said when
they came when top talent became
available they would be in there
fighting, eden hazard is quality..

Pepe Reina is staying put.

KT!

12 May 2012 20:41:05
interesting that martinez is due to have talks with whelan on monday and press conference at anfield monday the plot thickens . if martin goes then martin steps forward . THIS IS YOUR LIFE MARTIN KELLY

Is Martinez more likely to get us into CL than Kenny?

How is that interesting? after his talks with Whelan is him going to make a dramatic dash to Anfield, burst through the doors and announce he's left his ex to be with Liverpool?

@ OP Creating dramas in your head, aren't you? Must be fun doing that.

12 May 2012 20:26:25
All to be announced within the coming weeks...

Kenny Dalglish to remain as manager.
Txiki Begistrian to be appointed Director of Football.
David Dein to be appointed as as either Chief Executive or Vice-Chairman and will run the club on a day-to-day basis.
Ian Ayre to take up a new position on the Liverpool board (back to commercial possibly).

Dalglish will be kept on with a strict brief of finishing in the top four. Failure to qualify for the Champions League next season will seal his fate. He will prioritise the league as the clubs main focus, using the squad/reserves through the cup competitions. This is the reason why he has stated Liverpool are not looking to move anyone out this summer other than Aurelio. He needs a large squad to keep his best players for the league and use squad players for the cups. Hence another reason why Alexander Doni has stated he's not looking to leave as he is part of Dalglish's plans. He will be number 2 again in the league, but will play through the cups.

This does not seem like a bad situation

If Txiki Begistrian does become DOF is the writing on the wall for Pep to become manager next year. Give Kenny another year so Pep can recharge and come full of freshness. I think Kenny is a total legend but he would be the first to say nobody is bigger than the club and he isn't getting any younger. He would step aside if it was the best thing for the future of our great team. Don't know if it will happen but reading between the lines and putting 2 and 2 together.

Gazza {Ed002's Note - So you think FSG are planning to sack Dalglish in a year's time? Interesting.}

Seems like a possibility, would be great for the club in my opinion..

This is what should happen but it really happening is another story.

Playing devils advocate there ed002, i would hope step aside rather then sack but if pep were to be available and interested in the job, who wouldnt be excited at that prospect?
EMAN

I really like the sound of this ,Arsenal fans cannot say enough good things about Dein , Begistrian has a very good CV and Ian Ayre seems to be great at the commercial side of the business. I think it fair to say to Kenny 1 more year = top 4 or goodbye .
Guinnessred

Or Kenny achieves top 4 or even win the league but goodbye, anyway.

12 May 2012 19:58:48
Less than 24 hours till Kenny Dalglish ends his second stint as manager , the great news is that he is staying at the club .

My own hunch is that he will be shaking hands with his successor just before kick-off tomorrow , Brendan Rodgers will be the new Liverpool manager .

Guillem Balague backed up by Steve McManaman announce Daglish to be given another season with no hiding places, fininiacially does not suit the club to remove him after one season, they think a full season playing together with 3 new additions of real quality will be enough to see us challenge again

How are you so sure?

No chance.

Red Owl

I hope it's not Rodgers

Directly from Source within club mate. Little fella who plays Centre Mid who everyone slates, sorry no names! Basically believe it or not Xabi Alonso has an agreement to come back pending any hiccups for backup. Do not listen to anyone stating miracle signings, they are after De Jong for sure, Munian for a certain price if it gets silly they will pull out and Salado from Valencia, Jackson Martinez as back up if this falls through.

So the mandate is Champions League and we're going for a manager who has never won a trophy and has zilch experience in Europe and we're hoping to recruit 2 players who have their pick of suitors yet will be convinced by an outfit managed by a man who was plying his trade in the second tier less than 2 years ago? Dream on mate, lay off the whacky baccy while you are at it.

Its the spear report guy

As if jay spearing would know what jon henry,s plans are no dis respect mate i know he,s small but whats he been doing hiding under desks listening on phone calls and conversations

He doesn't even do that, he wraps himself around a pencil and pretends to be a novelty rubber. To the OP, your hunches, just like your rumours, are dogsh1t.

To be honest, I don't think anyone knows what is going to happen. Some rumors will be plausible than others - that's it. Very tight ship run by owners.

But it's obvious no one's job is safe. And "given another year" means nothing. If we are 7th or 8th come December or Jan I suspect the owners will pull the plug.

You say Dream on mate but watch what will happen then. It's not the Spear report at all.. it's direct from the club. peace...

12 May 2012 19:35:39
Hello Eds,
why would Liverpool be interested in Berbatov? Can people stop write nonsense gossips? PLEASE! Doesn't make any sense to me with Suarez, Carroll and Bellamy in the squad. Berbatov is either young nor with great record in recent months. Just a piece of stupid news IMO.

Betbatovs sheer ability to score goals is exactly what we need we just need a younger model he would be perfect

Dude, Berbatov hasn't been playing in recent months due to Whiskeynose's love affair with Wellbeck! It took Suarez about 20 matches to reach the league goals Berbatov scored in, like, 10 appearances!
He will not be comming to Liverpool - but if he did, he would be immence!

Drigan

Berbatov's record is quite good actually he just doesnt get played very much anymore, hes should get played more than he does!

Neither*

He's lazy.

DaveyBootle

Get real! Whiskey nose will NEVER sell to Liverpool. Remember Heinze and Paul McGrath who Ferguson sold to Villa for half of what we offered.

12 May 2012 19:32:17
I'm yet more convinced than last week KD will be given another year to secure Champions League football. His recent comments suggest his arguments with the owners are well rehearsed and that he's confident they'll see there's more risk (both in a football sense and financially) in ripping things up and starting again. KD is also playing their game - he's bringing kids through, trimming the squad, reducing the wage bill and reducing the average age of the squad. I'm not glossing over some of the problems of the last year but I think KD deserves at least another year. I expect a net spend of c £25m again this year and this would be my best guess at the level of ins/outs.

IN: Ramirez (Bologna, 16m); De Jong (Twente, 12m); Dempsey (Fulham, 6m); Affelay/Tello (Both Barcelona, Loan) = 34m
OUT: Kuyt, Cole, Maxi, Aquilani, Aurelio, Amoo, Eccleston, Pacheco = 9-15m (No way we'll find buyers for all of them)

I think these targets are all achievable and would give us a young No 10 in Ramirez who can be groomed to fill Gerrard's boots, guaranteed goals and work-rate from Dempsey and PL nous (a great replacement for Kuyt) and a young back-up for Andy Carroll in De Jong who (being Dutch) could very well adapt quickly to the PL and become a regular in his 1st season. Affelay or Tello could both be loaned out by Barca and Affelay especially would give us another goals from midfield/ playmaker option. If we sell 6/7 fringe players it frees up space for some kids to be given Europa/ Carling Cup experience. Wilson, Sterling, Coady and Wisdom the most likely with maybe Suso loaned out.

PieInTheSkyMan

This all makes sense to me. Glad to see someone posting something decent. We are forced to read some crap on here from bored couch potatoes (BCP). I just wish the eds could label those posts with a BCP when posting them.

This is far more realistic than most, however de Jong will not join if he is bought as back-up for carroll. He is too good and probably about the same stage of his career.

I would rather see a youngster blooded than to pay over-the-odds for dempsey

Hope Kenny stays on, the team has played some good stuff but haven't had the luck at times. With a few changes and a bit more luck, can see us getting into the champions league next season

Tello to Valencia on loan

I would have Affelay ten times before Tello.

£6m would not be over the odds for Dempsey.

If he replaces Kuyt who generates 2-3m and Dempsey is on lower wages then the cost of replacing the Dutchman with a proven, injury-free, intelligent goalscorer would be neutral over a 3 year contract.

I like the sound of that, realistic also

12 May 2012 19:26:48
eds is Luis Suarez playing his last game for LFC tomorrow and he didn't look very happy at the last game at anfield against chelski + he was waving to fans (saying goodbye maybe) {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

I find it a bit strange all of this speculation about suarez cos he was waving to the fans, but werent all of the players, like gerrard and carroll, are they leaving too

Another idiotic post, all the player's were waving to the fan's. So in your pea sized brain, that must mean the entire the squad must be leaving.

^^ the guy above took my exact response but guessing for the guy who originally posted we must be having a busy transfer window rebuilding club because the players waved bye

LFCHero :)!

His personal Facebook page on which he writes on after everygame put about saying goodbye to the fans but I think it's just his lack of English skills and perhaps he ment goodbye till next season

Idiots -.-. It was the last home game, he is saying bye to the fans since it's the last home game!!

All the players were waving lol

All the players were waving goodbye because it was the last game at anfield?

Probally didnt look that happy because he didnt manage to get a goal

12 May 2012 19:24:53
Just wondering, Guilem Balague has announced on his twitter that We have decided to keep Daglish but are actively looking for a DOF and he mentions Txiki Beguistian. Now with Maccas news the other day I'm inclined to believe this is the truth, but the question is how would Balague know? I know he was close to Rafa so when news came from him I tended to believe it, but who now?

Cheers

He probably follows Macca on here the same as us!

MR EM

Exactly he dont know, they havent even had there meeting yet. RedTurk

And how would you know that they havent had a meeting yet? :) nobody knows so why comment.

Spot on Mr Em

12 May 2012 19:23:43
Ballague just tweeted, owners r keeping kenny. Can he work with tixi bloke ,?

"tixi bloke" lol! tixi the pixie!

12 May 2012 19:20:13
Gulliem Ballague tweet: Lfc owners have decided to keep Dalglish. But they are looking for a DoF. Will someone like Txiki Beguiristain work with KD? Intriguing

Makes perfect sense. Hire Txiki now to search for players who are technically capable of Barca style and let Kenny coach for one more year before Guardiola steps in.

YNWA!

12 May 2012 19:10:03
any interest in Lazar Markovic ed's? {Ed002's Note - He looks bound for Chelsea who are negotiating a deal - money is proving to be an issue.}

12 May 2012 19:05:17
Soldado droped by valencia coach for last game of season.left at home commentator says and bust up with coach..good news for us..

Red indian

Valencia can keep him... Having him here will only slow Carroll's progression. The only striker that I personally think is worth having is luuk de jong.

Good news for us? Is the player who complains and fights with a coach the type of player you want?

Curious Red

He is a great player but Lukk de Jong is a better option

The coach is leaving... {Ed022's Note - Where's the coach leaving to? I like day-trips.}

Luuk De Jong is not as good as Soldado, fact. {Ed022's Note - They have different styles of play completely so it isn't an easy comparison.}

If he is going to fall out with his coach then perhaps he has a bigger ego than we think so should we go for such a character ?

Emery is leaving Valencia at the end of the season. So the bust up would mean nothing to Soldados future. Come on ed, keep up! {Ed022's Note - Are you always an idiot or do you just do it in your spare time. My reply was talking about a 'coach' as in a 'bus'. Come on anon, keep up!}

To be fair i've been done. can't blame me for looking at it in a footballing sense though! apologies ed022..

12 May 2012 19:00:41
Eds,
The following players should fit
FSG transfer strategy. Which ones
Do you think is possible?

- Oscar Hiljemark(instead of Elm)
- Ross Barkley
- Sime Vrsaljko
- Junior Hoilett
- Yann Mvila
- Van der wiel
- Luuk de Jong

{Ed002's Note - De Jong there is interest in. The others there is not right now.}

Haha barkley you wish

12 May 2012 19:00:27
u seen this eds? 'But what I can say is that we are not actively looking to move anyone out' little worrying from KD isnt it?
NO cole aquaman out or is it a case of trying not to let their values drop? {Ed002's Note - I would not read too much in to it.}

12 May 2012 18:51:49
According to caught offside were looking at Berbertov from man utd

See those vital words, "according to caught offside"

12 May 2012 18:17:34
What's to become of Aquilani? It's now known he'll come back to LFC, but will he be kept in the squad or will Kenny be looking to offload him?

He does not want to play for Liverpool. In fact he does not want to play in the UK full stop. RED LENIN

12 May 2012 18:12:59
Liverpool to sign Liam Hearn on 4 year deal from Grimsby town. The fee will be around 100,000 pounds.

You heard it here first.

LM

Not a chance 26 years old recently signed a new contract and hes no where good enough

12 May 2012 17:58:23
Any interest in Nzonzi Ed002? and before anyone says that he is from Blackburn I think he is quite a good cm and probably will be available cheap {Ed002's Note - There is confirmed interest in Nzonzi from Anzhi, Aston Villa and Spartak Moscow with a chance that Roma will make a move over the summer.}

Not a chance. he is just a below average midfielder in the PL. He is wasteful, slow, clumsy and uninventive. Just what Liverpool needs.

LFC CCA

I think he's a pretty decent player Blackburn or not , I do think however we need a powerhouse midfielder like a yaya Toure, as much as it is unlikely to find someone similar

12 May 2012 17:37:55
Someone asked about the standard chartered issue a couple of days ago an an ed said he would find out and to ask tomorrow and I didn't see if the guy posted again sorry I can't be more specific eds? {Ed002's Note - We revisited the matter briefly and I decided not to give any more details. Folks get very emotional with such matters and some become abusive.}

Ok sounds fair enough

12 May 2012 17:35:11
Just about to watch Nick Powell fantastic talent really hope we snap him up, I fear united might get him before we get a chance.

Square tomato

Would be more worried about London clubs tbh.

12 may 2012 17:31:37
hey ed(s) i understand that fulham are looking to buy luciano narsingh in the summer. i think this is a player liverpool should also be looking at we have lacked quality and service from the right wing for ages now and this lad fits the fsg criteria young,value for money with a possible resale value do you now if we looked at him for the summer? these are his stats for the season so far.

34 games
8 goals
22 assists

achilles {Ed002's Note - As far as we are aware there has been no interest in Narsingh from anyone other than Ajax and Fulham.}

Those stats are insane!
AnfieldUSA

Fair play to Jol he knows the dutch league and there are some serious talent and bargains to be had there

12 May 2012 17:20:45
Eds, do you know if Lens may be willing to cash in on Thorgan Hazard this summer? If so, do you know which clubs have a realistic interest?

Thanks,

CSeiling {Ed002's Note - I doubt that Thorgan Hazard will move this summer as there was talk of a contract extension. If he does move the clubs who have shown an interest are Arsenal, Ajax, Lille, Barcelona and no doubt others I don't recall.}

12 May 2012 17:20:15
hey eds is liverpool still keeping tabs on cavani? and will joe cole return to liverpool? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have no interest in Cavani. There has to be a chance that Cole will return. Lille would take him if his wages were dropped - probably by half. PSG may well offer him an option.}

I wouldn't take Cole he wouldn't want to be a squad player and the wages is too much i'd let him go for 1m - 2m or free to get him off the wage bill.

12 May 2012 17:17:26
Summer deals
In
Adam Johnson 14m
Clint Dempsey 10m
Grant Hanley 3m
Marc Albrighton 7m

Dempsey and johnson yes others no!

Hanley will be going to Utd - have reported this before.

Robbie'sNoseband

12 May 2012 17:15:41
Eds or mecca are we still intrested in suseata would love him and munian playing on our wings {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris St Germain are interested in Athletic Bilbao's Markel Susaeta.}

12 May 2012 16:52:34
ed what clubs are sniffing around skrtel

also i dont know why everyone cares so much sell him on for big money and replace him with vertonghen or someone else

thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any that are, but Milan could be in the market for an experienced centre back if they lose Thiago Silva.}

Two clubs will table offers for agger!

Where is Thiago Silva going eds? Barca?

AG {Ed002's Note - Barcelona would like to buy him but AC Milan do not want to sell.}

Yet another clueless person who doesn't appreciate the true value of senior players nor has any idea how they would have to be replaced. Not fantasy football guy. So, so sad!

I dont really wish us to sell Skrtel or Agger cause i think they are a great partnership, they work well togetha and are on the same level. But if we did happen to sell 1 and need replacin, i would love us to go for PSG's Sakho, i think he would be great, maybe a tad expensive but for 22/23 years of age, he's exactly what our transfer policy is crying out for.

Carb

12 May 2012 16:46:01
Doni wants to stay on at liverpool and belives he is still a part of his Kenny's plans :)

Big T

Yeah but he'll probs only play 3 games at most a season

According to Kenny everyone except Aurelio is a in next seasons plans.

Money money money

12 May 2012 16:14:11
Hey could you tell me anything about Ivan Trickovski, if he will stay at apoel? Have Liverpool ever been interested? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in him from any club right now.}

12 May 2012 15:57:37
Hi eds, is there any chance of either Jermaine Defoe or Clint Dempsey making a move to Anfield this Summer? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Defoe. I am told that Dempsey will come up for sale and there will certainly be interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and a couple of German sides. Age and cost has to be a consideration of course.}

Clint Dempsey yes
Defoe no

12 May 2012 15:57:11
Rafa Benitez won't be Liverpool manager.

FSG certainly won't like the way he purchased players, changed the squad every new season and offered them ridiculous wages. No disrespect to Rafa he was a great manager and we had lots of memorable happy moments with him.

People think I am trying to be ITK, but was trying to be nice while I just pass on what I hear for you guyz. Plus my views and what I want.

I may not be as reliable as Macca nor that I am claiming to be or nor I am.
I have no intention of misleading any of you with false information. Am just a fan passing on what I here & someone who is seeking to have some banter with fellow reds.
After all this site is for Rumours & Banter.

Cheers
Armando

Agree fully matey.......

Kenny is staying put

Thanks Armando. I know I don't mind reading multiples, and it is nice to read another perspective/potential source of information. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to share your information and opinions.

Thanks,

CSeiling

How would Rafa have any sort of say on what wages a particular player would or wouldn't get? isn't that what Rick Parry was paid to do and didn't do a very good job of it.. by the way no one thinks your ITK as you put it, (May I speak for the majority here) we think you talk B**ll*ks!
it was my understanding any manager would identify a player and it would be up to the chief executive or DOF (previously) Comolli to bring in the player within the budget/valuation of the owners?

Thanks Armando, and of course any snippets of info passed on are always welcome.
It won't stop the idiots bashing you of course, but the majority will appreciate whatever info you have I'm sure.
The last thing we want is for the site to be taken over by the 'Cavani spotted in a taxi at Melwood' brigade.

Just seen cavani in a taxi outside melwood

Dalglish has another year as Liverpool manager. When his time is up Rafa Benitez WILL return as Liverpool manager. Wait and see.

Rafa will never return and thank goodness for that. We don't need another era of the boring long ball game. 6 years of that is more than enough to last one a lifetime.

LFC is back to pass and move footballing style and, who knows, we might even graduate to tiki taka style.

Sorry to cut and paste but this is pretty big news if true. {Ed002's Note - Please make the effort to read all of the other posts.}

So, where is your cut & paste? And what is your big news? {Ed002's Note - I deleted it, it was irrelevant.}

Eds and Macca, Liverpool have bought alot of young talents to their academy and reserves squad in recent years, including Raheem Sterling, Suso, Sheyi Ojo and Jerome Sinclair - all highly rated youth internationals.

But what about Mason Bennett, the 15 year old wonderkid who has allready 9 games in The Championship for Derby and also Joel Pohjanparo, the 17 year old striker of finnish side HJK, scored a hat-trick recently in the finnish Veikauusliga, and have a total of 4 goals in 6 apps this season.

Do you know of any real interest in these young strikers eds and macca?

Cheers Tom

and also, I WANT KING KENNY TO STAY ON AS A LIVERPOOL MANAGER.

Good man!
King Kenny Dalglish is the man to move us forward

I third that, King Kenny all the way!

It's true guys... KK is indeed on his way. I've got reliable contact in ESPN and they've been briefed to expect announcement on Monday morning. The news has already been announced to players, KK to take up new position within revised shake-up at boardroom level. Expect to see JC take on coaching role to possibly with reserve team at first.

Espn is a news channel if it's got
information it will break it first
it wont be waiting till monday
they will break it first for

Eds, any interest from Liverpool or any other team in Ki Sung-Yueng? {Ed002's Note - If you ask on the Celtic page you should get an answer out of Ed007 who will likely know.}

Ok thanks Ed

12 May 2012 15:23:15
hey Eds with AC milam signing Montolivo and not needing aquilani is there any chance a deal could be worked with bologna for G.Ramirez including aquilani? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know if that would be possible or not.}

If no one pays the £4-5 million for Aquilani, then he should come back to Liverpool.

Kenny has opened the door for Alberto, after two seasons away on loan. Many things have changed at Liverpool, the manager (twice), the owners, the coaches, the back room staff and the style of football and many of the players.

I think he should come back and finish his contract. He signed it after all. Liverpool have given him and his agent two seasons to impress an Italian team enough to cough up a cut price deal and both times Aquilani and Liverpool have been let down by other clubs (Juventus and A.C Milan.)

It hasn't happened, so Liverpool have been very understanding. I think a deal with Juventus with Krasic or Elia for Aquilani and maybe some money is the most likely outcome, depending on Antonio Conte and Kenny Dalglish of course. {Ed002's Note - Interestingly,

Yes Ed002? Interestingly?

AG {Ed022's Note - Ed002 is currently dusting off her beard of wisdom.}

Ed, dalglish saying no one out apart from Aurelio,does that give a hint we may keep Cole and Aqua or not? {Ed002's Note - And Kuyt and Maxi, Pacheco, Amoo? I would not read too much in to it.}

Hi ed, I personally believe (and it's not based on anything in particular) that kenny wasn't referring to the likes ok aqua and cole n other loanees, so he prob does expect them to go, but was talking about the squad we have had this year, if kenny is being honest then I don't personally see us signing many players especially anyone who will be good enough to improve us, I get the feeling Liverpool fc is longer an notions club and is in real danger of becoming a villa or fulham type of club I.e mid table. Oh well I'll still keep supporting them even of they have become an embarrassment :( rant over {Ed002's Note - As I said, I would not read anything in to it. Personally I am still expecting the likes of Kuyt and Maxi to leave.}

What he was saying was that he doesnt want anyone leaving not that noone would be allowed. If Kuyt and Maxi hand in transfer requests hes not gonna stop them, the same as if an offer comes in from another club that is to much to turn down

Gaz

He can't very well just come out and say someone is for sale or their value instantly declines, but look for us to move Maxi, Kuyt, Cole (maybe to West Ham if promoted), Aquilani, Spearing, Jones, and maybe even Johnson, Skrtel, and/or Adam (possibly back to Blackpool if promoted), if the right offers come in.

I thought Kenny was picking his words very carefully, letting people read into them what they wanted.
CR

Hi eds, any interest in ganso? Jayo {Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

Is it true Arsenal are looking at Ganso ed? {Ed002's Note - On Twitter they are.}

Lol, yeah ed023 said they enquired about his availability. {Ed002's Note - He is one of the Eds who is a big Twitter fan.}

12 May 2012 14:18:36
We used to be linked with Hugo Rodallega (after a good season, granted), so just wondering is there any interest now seeing that he'll be moving on for free? Cheers for all the good work, really appreciate it. {Ed002's Note - This was thrashed out yesterday - you should find it easily.}

Got it, cheers

He is useless

12 May 2012 14:14:11
Why is Agger 6/4 for Barca?

A good deal of betting odds are controlled according to the number of bets, and the cost of those bets, placed upon a given event. It could just be that a lot of people have bet on it, or it could just be that the betting company is changing the odds to encourage betting. I wouldn't read anything too much into it.

In any case, 6/4 is still odds 'off' happening, saying that they think its much more unlikely that likely.

12 May 2012 14:07:22
hi edds fellow reds,

is kalou out of contract in the summer? if so, is there any chance we could get him? would be a nice addition to the squad.

{Ed002's Note - He is out of contract but I don't know of interest from Liverpool.}

12 May 2012 14:07:21
Hi Ed's
Have we ever looked at Oussama Assaidi or MBark Boussoufa?
Cheers {Ed002's Note - Assaidi looks to be Fulham bound. Boussoufa will not be for sale and his wages would not be matched by Liverpool. Historically I don't know if there was interest.}

12 May 2012 14:02:01
Hi ed i m bit confused with the rumours on going that some rumour saying that kk could quit. But on the other websites news coming in which kk already planing for next season. Can u shed some light on that. Will he stay or not. Plz reply to this rumour. Thanx. {Ed002's Note - Please read the other posts - there is page after page of discussion.}

12 May 2012 13:51:26
hey eds , there has been rumours that we have reprasentatives going to to speak to g ramirez and l de jong, and niether of them are playing today, heard anything?

thanks {Ed002's Note - Nothing beyond what has been discussed.}

12 May 2012 13:34:59
We will be signing one player and thats matt jarvis of wolves, fabio will be leaving.

harley

How can anyone 'believable' this? i don't get this scramble for players like Jarvis and Rodallega, would United, Arsenal or Chelsea be looking at these players?! NO.

Mate get a life where do you get this rubbish from. So we are not going to sign a striker but instead are going to sign Jarvis. Get back in your hole!

Jarvis would be a good signing

12 May 2012 13:29:16
Hi eds, This is my first ever post on this website, but iv'e been following this website just before the January 2011 transfer window. Any way I was just wondering what position do we need to buy player's in. Also if we do need to buy a player for a certain position would the owner's give the cash to buy.

Thank You
Red Star's {Ed002's Note - A striker and a right sided forward or winger. I am sure the owners will be supportive - within reason.}

12 May 2012 13:26:51
should sign:

soldado or borja valero (striker)
farfan (winger)
granero (midfield)

{Ed002's Note - Farfan is not available.}

Borja valero is not a striker sunshine :)

AZ

Borja Valero a striker ha

Lmao no he might have a point about valero because if you apply the cf card and then the st card he can become a striker... lol get a grip mate and also farfan is left mid

Farfan is available on a free in the summer as far as i'm aware.......... {Ed002's Note - No. Farfan is staying at Schalke.}

Borja Valero had spell at west brom and did nothing... Good on ball but to light weight for premier league...

12 May 2012 13:21:20
Afternoon Eds,

I was wondering if there was any interest from Liverpool in Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal?

Thanks

Thatracoonstolemybacon {Ed002's Note - Musacchio would likely not be available and if he were a move to England would be unlikely in my view.}

12 May 2012 13:13:16
hey eds anything new on gaston rameriaz or belhanda think think these guys are exactly what we need also who would be the more likely to sign for us in your opinion. cheers

belfast red adam {Ed002's Note - As I have said previously Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool but I still remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club but would not be at all surprised if a push was made to sign him. He was available in January for about 15M euro plus a signing on fee - but Liverpool did not follow up on their initial enquiry. They will not now listen to offers less than 20M euros. However, Ramirez will move in the summer with interest being shown by Napoli, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Palermo and Juventus, who have made a firm offer. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested. Sevilla were interested but I understand that Ramirez has no interest in such a move. At present, Napoli are very much favourites for his signature. Discussions have now taken place between Bologna and Napoli - adding to discussions that have taken place with Juventus. Whilst Napoli are very much favourites for his signature at this time we cannot rule out Bayern Munich and Liverpool. My understanding is that his recent words from his agent about an offer from an "important" EPL club having been made has been clarified to say that he had been misquoted and that an offer is being prepared to be submitted by an EPL club. So he is not saying that he was wrong just misquoted and the offer is on its way - which I guess makes more sense. He also said he had spoken with a "significant" German team - which I assume to Bayern Munich but it remains clear if he contacted them or they contacted him. His final statement was that Bologna would not make any decision on the future of the player until the season is over - which sort of implies that Bologna have forced him in to all of this. So as before, don't rule out Napoli, Liverpool or Bayern Munich. There is confirmed interest in Belhanda from Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Inter and Roma. The player says he wishes a move to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Germany is not possible. A price of 30M euros has been quoted by Montpellier.}

12 May 2012 13:10:23
what bout jordan rhodes as someone to go after,only 22 and a great prospect is there anyone looking at him?

Hed be great to bring off bench and make an impact. If we get rid off Kuyt and Maxi maybe sign him and have Sterling on bench aswell until he can start

Spurs are favourites I'm sure.

Square tomato

I would sign him tonorrow, hes a lot like rushie but better in the air and heavier built, hes gonna be a big star in the future, would even loan him back for a season to bring him on a bit

He is currently a league 1 player. No. Nononono. If anyone thinks any league 1, or even Championship player is good enough, just no.

Chris Smalling was playing non-league football two seasons ago. Now he's a regular in the Man Utd side, playing CL football and was on the verge of going to Euro 2012 until he got injured.
Proof if it was needed that there are some talented young players in the lower leagues who can cut it in the Premiership.

Would love to see him sign, amongst others of course.

He fits the transfer policy
I'd have him anyday

What about bale, lescott Kyle walker sigurdson Adam Johnson victor Moses etc etc

Ian Wright ? Non league player to Arsenal legend.

Rhodes apparently has a great attitude, he's dedicated to football and very single minded - a bit like Owen when he was younger. A PL team will take a punt on Rhodes this summer.

De Jong and Rhodes to join Carroll and Suarez as our main strikers please...

12 May 2012 13:01:47
Hi all

I'm told the club have identified 3 top managers they want to talk too, 2 are currently contracted to their respectable clubs 1 is a free agent, now the owners will have to sale their ideas to the manager and like wise the manager has to sale his ideas the owner.

The Martin Skrtle rumores have a bit of truth in them, he's not very happy but it has nothing to do with CL or lack of progress the club is making...... He feels his been disrespect by the management.......

The_Insider

Utter rubbish.

Red Owl

Especially as he can't even spell his name right! Skrtel has been immense this season, and has a great understanding with Agger... Going nowhere

12 May 2012 18:23:03
Skittles is the only player that has played every minute of KK reign. He is POTY for LFC and is very happy to be at ANFIELD. Agent is the one releasing the rumours. Anzi are sniffing around and if the right offer comes in LFC will accept as we have Coates as a ready made partner for Agger. Jan Vertonghen is also an option to come in for as Ed022 says in his player profiles http://www.player-profiles.co.uk/jan-vertonghen.php would be available for 12M. Net 6 profit in the Skittles deal may be good business.

Chi-Paul

12 May 2012 12:40:48
Aqualini is attracting interrst from malaga espanyol lazio and fiorentina as become clear he wil not be signing for milan. No one willing to pay more than 2m because of wages.

Swop aqua for hernananas with lazio plus lil cash

No point selling him for 2m

Swop deals is for fantasy football ...

12 May 2012 12:27:27
Reports on claim Martin Skrtel will ask to leave Liverpool this summer, as he seeks Champions League football.

Mick D

When people read a rumour off the net or from a newspaper why cant they have a quick look down from that days posts to see if its already been posted. It will save the same rumour being posted 20 times a day.

12 May 2012 12:21:19
So, FSG is pulling out all stops and firing everyone involved, including Kenny, for the poor handling of the Suarez situation, right? So I guess Suarez will be playing his last game for LFC tomorrow, yes? Singred

What are you on about?

Martin

Luiz is modelling new kit,no chance he will be sold

The 8th place finish might have something to do also.

Martin, it was tongue-in-cheek, but it might happen. If Cotton was dismissed because of the bad PR surrounding Luis, why not Luis as well? If the owners are under pressure from StandChart, they might just sell Luis to please their sponsors. Singred

Exactly right its not about poor performances or not qualifying for the CL. Its all about our sponsers Chartered Trust coming under pressure at their AGM about supporting a 'racist' club.

Suarez has caused everybody getting fired, then. What a naughty naughty boy!

Singred... just shut up man! FSG should fire you.

12 May 2012 12:09:02
Eds it is clear we need another Alonso and adam isnt the answer. Are lfc looking at joao moutinho or sahin {Ed002's Note - Rumours persist of Moutinho moving to Chelsea if they would pay the 30M euros required. Sahin has had injury problems this year but rumours do persist about his long term future. If he were to leave I would very much suspect a move to Italy (possibly with Juventus) or a return to Germany would come before any thoughts of a move to England. Malaga also spoke to Madrid about the possibility of a loan and Galatasaray would like to take him to Turkey. I suspect that he will head back to Germany with Bayern Munich.}

12 May 2012 10:40:16
Have it on very reliable evidence that KK will indeed be gone by early next week - and has agreed to move to board/ambassador role. This is the final sweep of FSG who have been determined to be ruthless in response to handling of Suarez situations and results in the league. Commoli and Cotton have already paid price - expect Ayre to be doing same. Interestingly though, Kenny is said to be in agreement with the move and realises that he is no longer what is needed in terms of management...expect moves for Martinez, Lambert with Rafa by no means out of the question...

I beleive this would be the right step to take.if this is to be true then it would take an extrordinary manager to take liverpool fc foward. benitez is a no no martinez could be.

It sounds like Gypsy Rose Lee is doing a roaring trade, predicting the future in her tea leaves.
The Real KB {Ed022's Note - Damn I love that woman.}

Stop talking rubbish!
Kenny is STAYING

The way KK was speaking in the last few interviews make me think that he will be moved. I also suspect that Louis Van Gaal is being considered with Sami Hypia and Jari Lithmanen as part of his coaching set up.

Martinez? I hope you are not referring to the relegation struggler Wigan manager. I love that guy just like Roy but I hate seeing us prostituting ourselves in relegation battle next season. Please God no, no, nguh nguh, no, please God no, no, no, no...

That means Suarez will play his last game for LFC tomorrow, yes? Can't see them dismissing everyone else and not Luis, yes? Singred

Why do fools like 1 of the posters above dismiss people like martinez did you never think of the little budget that he has to work with at wigan then think what he could do with a bigger budget at a bigger club like liverpool he is is also part of the reason swansea are doing so well he can also attract great young talent so think before you speak where was wenger before arsenal ferguson before united at so called smaller clubs BIG BREN

BOG BREN, why do you dismiss posters who disagree with you as fools? Everything you have said about Martinez was said about AVB and look where he is now. You post is equally foolish in my eyes I'm afraid. If you'd take Martinez over Rafa Benitez then I really don't know what else to say to you?

Funnily enough I've been hearing the same - its going to happen...watch this space...

The owl

@BIG BREN.

So you would like Martinez as Liverpool manager because he kept Wigan up on a small budget? Well so did Steve Bruce & Paul Jewell long before Martinez arrived in town.
Jewell actually took Wigan to a League Cup final too. So where are Bruce & Jewell these days? Bruce is on the dole, whilst Jewell is struggling down at lowly Ipswich Town.

So BIG BREN based on your criteria, would you like Bruce or Jewell as the next manager of LFC? No thought not.

BIG BREN

mate i think you look a bit of a doughnut martinez is wigan manager not swansea!
lol
billynwa

It's impossible to know in advance whether Martinez would succeed at Liverpool. Yes, you can point to all sorts of examples to naysay, but that hardly constitutes some kind of predictive law. It's like saying "Alex Ferguson will never succeed at United because it's nothing like Aberdeen", or "Chelsea is nothing like Milton Keynes so Di Matteo will fail". Only way to know would be to hire him.

Martinez is his own man hes not paul jewel or steve bruce hes a good young up coming manager and he use to manage swansea before wigan thats what i said to the 1 the t**ts above i never said i wanted him i said why would anyone dismiss a good young up coming manager i would rather kenny be aloud to finish what he started which is rebuilding this club

12 May 2012 10:38:40
If bale moves to barca could villa leave, he is already below pedro in the team sheet, could lfc look at buyin him again. I no its a v.slim chance

If Barca buy Bale it will be for the left back position and will in no way affect Villa's future. Furthermore, Villa is not necessarily behind Pedro in the pecking order. Villa has been out since December with a broken leg and Pedro has had a few injuries and suffered a loss of form. Next season under a new manager either could be first choice.

Kieran

We won't get villa

Can we stop with the david villa fantasy's. Hes 29/30, and would come with a high fee and wages.

I'd be surprised if Bale was a target for Barcelona. As good as he is, his game's all about pace and power - and Barca much prefer to let the ball do all the work.

Bale is nowhere near good enough for barcelona, he isn't good enough, full stop, and a cheating diver to boot !

Barca cant afford Bale

Divid villa is a st,cf just because barca play him down the left and hes a lm on fifa people thing he may leave because barca are getting a natraul left sided player witch they lack an guess what barca also lack a back up striker to messi.....STOP TALKIN s**t

12 May 2012 10:33:33
Great site guys. This is no rumor but my views on what we need for next season. We really need player who can turn a game around, non of the new signings last year have that abillity. Well Carroll might.

Out:
Kuyt - job well done but time to move on, deserves to play every weekend.
Aurelio - no shocker, to bad we never got the best from him over time. Great potential.
Maxi - deserves to play, and we need to make place for younger talent.

In:
Gaston Ramirz - 1 with everything. Just what we need.
Pablo Hernandez/Affelay- would love to have both.
Jordan Rhodes/Luuk De Jong - sign Both, talent and natural goalscorers.

Dream transfer for summer would be yann m'vila?

Keynwa

Loads of people seem to want Pablo Hernandez when he hasn't even been able to get ahead of Feghouli in the Valencia pecking order. I'm baffled.

Kieran

Swap Pablo for Belhanda and I'd take that

12 May 2012 10:15:19
Joe cole in talks with reading over a possible transfer worth 3.5 million

Qpr and sunderland looking aswel

On 90 grand wages though? Can't see it to be honest, wouldn't mind Joe returning here anyway, he's a good winger and had a great season at Lille so he's in form. We're on about getting wingers when we have one of the most skillful englishmen in our ranks, i don't think last season did him any justice at all.

I dont think so since Cole is used to higher league football I think he will be staying in France or some US team would buy him

Cole got a great season in France ? He is not even playing regulary!

Cole to Reading seems a good shout, but I can confirm that, for what it's worth, that Michael Owen is definitely signing for them

12 May 2012 09:53:34
Doni to stay for another year as he is convinced that he will have his chances.heard it first here -mihir

No mate you read it in the paper like the rest of us

His chance in the reserves

Heard it in the paper yesterday first

His chances improve with every donut Reina eats. Will somebody at LFC please buy Pepe a trend mill!!

12 May 2012 09:49:28
I have just been informed that martin skyrtel, liverpools best defender last season is seeking a move away from lfc. He has grown unhappy with the lack of progress since the start of this season after a huge financial outlay given to
Kenny dalglish and would like to play in the champions league. RedTurk

I hope this ain't true he has been a bright light this season. However should he really want to go there is no need to panic. Kelly is really a centre back and should start being played in the middle and of course Coates has looked impressive when he has started although perhaps a touch green at times.

Long live the king

Someone reads

Martin SKYRTEL can leave then, there is only room for martin SKRTEL anyways. {Ed022's Note - Sky rtel sounds like an angry Murdoch protest chant.}

You've just been informed, RedTurk mate? Are you sure you didn't read it off ?

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96 {Ed022's Note - 'I have just been informed' usually means 'I've just thought this up because I have a pretty lame life'.}

Just been told, or just read on ? The same that had as an 'EXCLUSIVE' that Bielsa was to be the new Barca manager, just hours before Vilanova was announced. It's nonsense. Skrtel loves the club and will stay.

Kieran

Been imformed,haha why dont u just say seen it like the rest of us

steLFC

This is also in the mirror as per twitter, so I wouldn't read to much into it?

No Chance!! Martin Skrtel has always said how happy he is at the club.

12 May 2012 09:44:51
is reporting that Skrtel is going to ask for a transfer this summer. Is this true eds?

Thanks
Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - I don't know but am aware of the suggestion by goal.com - which is of course run by a Liverpool supporter.}

I think it's pathetic. We've been above his quality for years and as soon as he turns good he thinks he's better than us.

Had an 'EXCLUSIVE' about Bielsa becoming the new Barca manager just hours before Vilanova was announced. It's nonsense ignore it.

Kieran

This would be the best time to cash in on him for the club, as he had a good season, but Coates is better. Sell Skrtel for top $ and buy Scott Dann for cover on the cheap.

Sam Lyon's a Liverpool fan? Well I never.

And replace Skrtel with Coates and Coates with Scott Dann? I can see you're a manager of a top Prem team.

TSP

12 May 2012 09:36:11
Eds, is it true that Skrtel is/has requested a transfer from the club to seek Champions league football? {Ed002's Note - I don't know but am aware of the suggestion by goal.com - which is of course run by a Liverpool supporter.}

12 May 2012 09:35:31
Ed what are the chances of Dusan Tadic and would he cost around 8-10 million {Ed002's Note - He has already agreed to join FC Twente.}

12 May 2012 09:30:25
daglish held meeting with players yesterday and there is a press conference being held early monday morning,daglish could be out

Fingers crossed!

The guy will always be a legend for the club but he is not what we need to move forwards.

12 May 2012 09:24:23
Martin Skrtel to stun Liverpool by asking for Anfield exit this summer

Better not, to good to replace for sensible money but I recall that Anzi, the rich Russians, were after him last year.
CR

Not a chance

Why would that stun Liverpool? - average at best, Agger is far better and Coates will be our centre back for years.

How is agger better than skrtel

Complete utter BS
Our best player this season.
Why rip the foundation from our team.

Mirror say no more

12 May 2012 09:15:13
Not a rumour, just what I think might happen this window,
OUTS
Aquaman
Cole
Pacheo
Doni
Aurelio
Maxi
Kuyt(think we should keep him tho)
Wilson (prob another loan)
Robinson (loan)
Flanagan (loan)

Ins
Jackson Martinez (short term, hopefully move him on for a profit)
Belhanda or maybe A.Johnson on year loan
Luc de Jong,

What you think of these ed's, possible? also is it true that we are still paying Poulson's wages, well for this season past.
Cheers eds
Kopbob {Ed002's Note - I don't about Martinez - I have given my opinion on Martinez and I don't agree with all of the £3M deposit having been paid rumour. Belhanda perhaps but perhaps not as cheap as everyone thinks. There is interest from confirmed interest in Belhanda from Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Manchester City, Inter and Roma. The player says he wishes a move to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Germany is not possible. Johnson is looking less likely, particularly on loan. Luuk De Jong is a target.}

Flanaghan will stay
I agree that I would love Kuyt to stay
Your right about rest

12 May 2012 08:47:23
Ed's or macca have use heard anything about Liverpool agreeing a fee/deal for sigurdson ?

Cheers

12 May 2012 06:10:00
reports out of anfield suggest liverpool are set to hold talks with junior hoillet hes a fast right winger what liverpool need also adam johnson on loan as he has been froze out the man city squad i also believe that liverpool will put a bid in for the likes of steven fletcher (wolves) and demba ba ( 6 million buy out clause) what do you think eds ? {Ed002's Note - Don't see it right now, sorry.}

Newcastle wont sell Ba as he scored 18 or more goals this season and Manchester United wants him too

Adam Johnson would be great however I would sign him permenantly.
Fletcher is more realistic than Ba

Hi Eds,
i'm a regular poster on this site and i rate it very high.
Please answer my question;

-Are we currently showing interest in a central defender,or a player who can play there?,if so i'd like to see a few names mentioned by you.

Cheers.
Y.N.W.A {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any centre backs being looked at. The club seems well covered in that area.}

Hi Eds. Love the site, blah blah blah...

I have a relative in Australia who is close with Holger Osieck. (aus national coach).
He said that there have been a few Liverpool scouts out during the Aus domestic season looking to unearth some raw talent. Have you any idea if this is true?

And secondly, if Riena were to leave, do you know if Kenny would throw Doni into the firsts? I saw enough in the fulham match to make me believe he is good enough, and getting some regular first team appearances should see his confidence go up. I think he can be a great addition to the starting line up

Im Australian and i wouldn't believe that for a second. There is no raw talent in the A league. I play u-20 premier youth league and there is no one that i would say is raw. Portsmouth had scouts over at the end of last season as did Ipswich and everybody at are club knew they were watching. Thats why i doubt it.

Reina is staying at liverpool, u idiot.

So no aussie will ever play in the premier league again will they mate? Spotting talent is about finding players with the potential to LEARN the skills needed, not to find ready made Ronaldo's. There is talent in the youth league. Or do you believe that every single player in the future will be either english, spanish or italian? Kewell is from australia, Zlatan is from sweden, not really known for it's amazing youth systems, but he's made it, so think before you speak.

AND, let's not forget Mustafa Amini, Dortmund have owned him for a year now, and he's nearly ready to ship off to germany to start his development there. There are heaps of young aussies at clubs around the world with plenty of potential.

There is a Melbourne Victory player Julius Davies who has been at the Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim (I think it was Hoffenheim ) youth squads. That's not easy to doyet there is no raw talent in Australia
If Liverpool where scouting Aus I hope they had a decent look at the Mariners. They have some amazing young players like Bernie Ibini Isei and Matt Ryan (who if the pepe rumours are true is a replacement worth considering in my view). Mustafa Amini is one of there players too.
Yours truly,
Potato

I don't believe they are looking for the next messi, or ronaldo... but its plausible they are having a look. Lucas neill (Not the best) got scouted from a amateur league game in belrose by blackburn! And the first poster... you are 19, just because you play the game (which I do aswell) does not make you a talent scout.

Indian buzzer, It was a hypothetical you dimwit. Its a rumours site, there has been rumours going around. Beat it you divine-creature {Ed022's Note - Oh I do love editing...}
