Search failed. Ed's, How old must a player be before you can loan them out? I somewhat remember a post about Sterling maybe being too young to loan out. Thanks, Appreciated. {Ed001's Note - the rule was 18, not sure if there has been a change to it this off season, but that was the Premier League ruling for last season.}

is Higuain an option if we sell Suarez, and also did we have any interest in Mario Gomez? {Ed002's Note - No and no.}

Believable10 Unbelievable14

Higuain is an option

Agree0 Disagree0

Sturridge main striker. Aspas/Alberto, Henderson, Coutinho in behind

Agree0 Disagree2

Whether he is or isn't one things for sure we r gona have to spend big for someone because we always have a good striker and then make them a great striker.

Oh and by the way me personally I would love to see lukaku but I know it just won't happen

Guys, if you were playing for a CL team would you move to a club who are not and looks like they will not become one for some time

Hey eds great site really interesting keep up the good work!

Just wondering if you expect a bid for Bernard? He's a top quality young player who could really improve our team {Ed002's Note - Atletico Mineiro's Bernard rejected opportunities to join Zenit and a Qatar side last summer but there is a lingering thought that he may still move on this summer. Inter went as far offering part ownership of others in exchange for part ownership of Bernard last summer, but again that was refused. However, AC Milan, Dortmund, Benfica, Spurs, Spartak Moscow, Terek Grozny and Shakhtar Donetsk have recently approached Atletico Mineiro and whilst a 12M euro offer from Terek was rejected, it looks like a deal could be still be done and perhaps AC Milan will put together a package including a player as part of the deal. Dortmund spoke with Atletico Mineiro about the player but have seemingly dropped their interest deciding the asking price was too high following a rejected bid. Shakhtar Donetsk have also stepped back considering the price to be too high. Whilst he is certainly attracting interest from several sides and a very good offer could tempt them to sell, I suspect Atletico Mineiro and Bernard would also not have a problem holding off on any move for, say, another year. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Roma have been keeping a close eye on his progress, but all seem reluctant to make any move, certainly at the asking price. He was one of the South American players that Liverpool were scouting earlier in 2012, but that was pre-Rodgers and I am not aware of any solid interest from Liverpool at this time - and unless that changes, I doubt there is any chance of a move to Anfield. This leaves and Porto who are another club who would look to a deal possibly based on part ownership or a significant part of his fee being paid in the future. Whether Spurs pursue their interest remains to be seen.}

With our reported interest in Bernard from Aletico Mineiro do you think it would be easy for him to obtain a Visa/work permit eds?I've used the search function but can't seem to find anything!

Cheers

Irish Redman {Ed002's Note - A WP is not expected to be an issue if he moves to the UK.}

Believable19 Unbelievable5

He has dual nationality, I think. Spanish.

Hey, just wondering if any of the eds or anyone else knows anything about this bruma kid from sporting lisbon, is he on a free transfer, has he got any offers from any clubs? if he is on a free are Liverpool likely to make him an offer? thanks in advance for any thing you know. {Ed002's Note - Putting aside any thought that he might be "free", there have been a number of offers and there is plenty of interest. There is a mess to sort out financially and UEFA are involved, but there is no interest from Liverpool. At the moment it looks like it is down to a decision between two clubs, but the lower offer is from the preferred option. It'll drag on.}

Been reading today that Alderwierd is mulling over an offer from Norwich? Is that true? And if so, is it safe to assume our interest has totally ended as I'm pretty sure we would be seen as a more attractive offer by the player {Ed002's Note - He has an offer from Norwich.}

Believable12 Unbelievable3

If Norwich have agreed a fee of 6.7 million as stated then I think we also need to be registering a bid of same value and allow him to choose. I would rather take a chance at that price than the 18 million talked about for Papa.

Agree6 Disagree0

Completely agree! At 7 million pounds this guy is a steal. price has already been determined, just swoop in and get him. Could be first choice for years to come. Also a bonus that he would be playing right in front of mingolet.

Agree3 Disagree0

Alderwierld is not good enough, good player but not the typ we need.

Agree3 Disagree3

Let Norwich take him

Hey ed, not necessarily Liverpool related but are any clubs interested in Ajax's Viktor Fischer?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Viktor Fischer is subject to interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Hamburg and Werder Bremen. Ajax is negotiating a new contract with him and I would not expect a move in the summer.}

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Fisher has signed a 3 year deal a month ago ed

Eds.the ongoing saga of suerez leavin for Madrid thy just purchased another player for 38 million do u think Luis is still top of there list ynwa reddave {Ed002's Note - Their buying illarramendi is nothing to do with Suarez.}

Believable4 Unbelievable5

But surely with gareth high on there list they wouldn't have the funds to go after both, I know they are rich but come on! {Ed002's Note - Ignore the money - they have players leaving as well. Try the Real Madrid page.}

Eds I simply don't get how Arsenal are willing to smash their transfer record by miles on Suarez! As we all know, he is not the popular among other football fans. How come stingy Wenger would do that? He would not be a popular choice, and it does not look like Arsenal to throw so much money on a player. Thanks eds {Ed002's Note - Arsenal are interested in buying Suarez - there is really nothing unusual about that. I have explained that there is also interest from elsewhere and there is a reason why I would doubt that Suarez would move to another English club (we don't need to go in to detail). I still suspect his immediate future is elsewhere.}

Believable19 Unbelievable16

Edd this sounds like a poker move by the gunners, no doubt they would like Suarez but to me with the cost and history of Louie not to mention the ban it seems a strange one, could it be a ploy to flush out the real madrid forward?either way I gave LS the benefit of doubt and to even mention another epl club after the drama of the media excuses it stinks, for his sake and us supporters I hope he does get his madrid move because if people think the torres abuse was bad(by the way I did not blame him for moving at that time)then THE STICK LS is going to be off the chart which I do no not want to happen, to all reds fans let's move on and want players that want to play for us.

Agree1 Disagree3

Maybe because he is world class and will help them win trophies, something we won't be doing for a long time.

Agree1 Disagree9

Massive smoke screen in my opinion; they are trying to get Real Madrid to make up their mind either way by making out they have switched targets. then suddenly the phone rings and Madrid want to accept the previous Higuin bid out of fear of losing out.

That is my opinion anyway, I can't see Suarez moving to Arsenal, he is too much of a handful and risk for them to commit the sort of money they need. Look at who Wrenger has bought over the years. you just can't see it.

Chelsea on the other hand, yes! They love meeting inflated prices to buy off other English Clubs, need I say no more Fernando, Damien Duff, Scott Parker, Shaun Right Phillips (16m lol)! At the point they bought Torres he was in dire form for a good 6 months. Suarez is in electric form (but banned). On that basis, we could probably rinse old Roman for a good £60mil.

Agree0 Disagree1

Great attitude from anon there. If you can't support the club don't bother commenting negatively about them as us supporters don't want people with that attitude as fans anyway. We all get down from time to time but we share the same goal and rubbishty comments like that help nobody and don't achieve anything instead of making you look like a fool. David J

Agree3 Disagree0

I think it's a bit rash to say we won't win any trophies any time soon. We won the league cup not long ago and last season Swansea and Wigan showed that the opportunity to win a trophy in the uk for any premier league club is a very real. I'm not saying its easy but trophies are a possibility although we have to acknowledge that at the moment the premier leaguer is out of reach. Champs league is the aim and whilst that will be tough that is our ambition and we can go from there, but don't right the team off just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

We can win trophies just not the EPL (right now) and champions league.

Agree0 Disagree1

To the person who posted he will help them win trophies something we won't be doing, what a ridiculous comment how pessimistic are you if you can't see Liverpools improvement and you say stuff like that I'd rather you not support us

Agree0 Disagree0

As an arsenal fan there are two sides to a coin.

on one side, if and that is a massive IF, we actually get somewhere in this Suarez saga and we go all out to get him, then he would be a sensational player for us, as he was for you. World Class, better than RVP last season hands down.

on the other side of the coin, its the feeling of knowing what it feels like to be ripped of your best player, being handed over to your competitor who you play twice a year, and haunts you twice a year.

i guess for you guys it happened with torres and for it to happen the second time would really suck. for your sake and ours. let's hope he goes to Madrid and we end up with higuain.

Lakerville.

Agree2 Disagree0

To be fair, Torres has only haunted himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres' attitude and body language were appalling towards the end. He's not come back to haunt us (yet) and the club were right to sell.

Agree2 Disagree0

I remember the days when we bought top players from Arsenal like Ray Kennedy. Now they have the insolence to try and buy from us! I won't mention FSG, it can't be their fault. I mustn't be paying enought for my season ticket! {Ed001's Note - what about Clemence? He was a top player we sold while at our peak and he at his. Idiotic comments like this just waste everyone's time and show a complete lack of understanding of the world of football.}

Rumours saying we are in talks for Eriksen, any truth to this? Thanks

Believable74 Unbelievable55

I wouldn't put it into words we are in talks. It just fished out saying certain clubs are from his agent, and then input that Liverpool was interested, and make us try to put 1 and 1 together when it may not even be there.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ekstra Bladet, a big danish Newsletter just wrote that Roma and Liverpool is intressted in Eriksen and they might make a bid soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I can see it now - Liverpool just miss out to Roma and persons on here posting -" Eds, were we really interested? " or " did we even make a bid? "

Hi eds,

Do you believe if real madrid sign suarez, there is a good that
they might be willing to sell Jese rodriguez or Alvaro morata. {Ed001's Note - I think it is more likely they would send them out on loan for now. They have other players they want to move on, to make space.}

Believable8 Unbelievable15

No way are they going to sell jese! the top scoring u20 striker at the world cup.

Hi Eds,

I was just wondering if Vikter Fischer could be an option for Liverpool? I know Ajax would be loathe to lose one of their hottest prospects but an offer they couldn't refuse could see a potentially world class player slot in on the left of the front three allowing coutinho to play in his best position (IMO) just behind the forward line. I don't get to watch much of the Dutch league so if anyone has an opinion of the kid then give me your thoughts. Apologies if this is a fantasy manager question ed but I thought you needed a break from Suarez and Waro's eternal optimism. Thanks,
Matlock {Ed001's Note - I don't think he is for sale at a price we would be willing to pay right now. Also not sure Rodgers is interested, I have not heard of any recent interest, though we had him scouted repeatedly prior to Rodgers' arrival.}

Believable14 Unbelievable12

I was recently in Penang Malaysia talking to two lads that were season ticket holders at Ajax and they assured me he is rated higher than erriksen in the club.
