Any chance of Vydra? Would be so much better than Matri or Yilmaz for me. {Ed002's Note - Udinese has no interest in selling Vydra although they are aware of interest from Juventus, Sunderland Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham, West Brom and Olympiakos.}

Been told radio stoke was going to report movement by Liverpool for a crewe player tomorrow morning, apparently now its been postponed, but was just wondering if you guys had heard anything about it? Only possible one I could think of would be max clayton, didn't we look at him a while back?
Cheers eds {Ed002's Note - I can confirm that tomorrow has NOT been postponed and will happen as originally planned.}

Tomorrow will be Today, so this will then be Yesterdays news.

Reports from another Italian media source that Juve have accepted 12 million from Liverpool and Napoli for Matri. A bit skeptical seems though we've agreed with Cissokho according to Spanish media but Matri seems a similar style player to Costa in many ways big strong decent on the ball versatile so could be true.

Hi eds, Just read an article on the Daily Mail about Liverpool and Manchester United owners striking a pact to be strong against 'player power' and keep Suarez and Rooney against there wishes to join other PL clubs unless a 'mega offer' (80m quoted for LS) from Europe comes. I know as well as everyone else that the Daily Mail is only useful mainly as toilet paper and regular updates on Kim Kardashian but this seems the type of thing a couple of billionaire owners wanting to make a statement would do. Is any piece of this true? {Ed002's Note - I think they might be over-playing a simple situation whereby the American owners are not used to the situation we are seeing with Suarez, and rather less so with Rooney. The Glazers are pretty much hands off of such matters, but Mr Henry has shown himself to be a little naive. As for a pact, I hear there was deer found on Interstate 8 in Texas with all of it's organs missing; three elderly men smeared in blood were seen running from the scene. They were described as one wearing a red shirt with Giggsy on the back, one in a red shirt with Suaro on the back and one in a tie-die Grateful Dead 1977 Spring Tour shirt on. HArd to say if the pact is true or not.}

Ed, did two of those gentlemen look anything like Gilette and Hicks.?! {Ed002's Note - It would be cool if they did - and please register.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I definitely think something needs to be addressed on player power maybe every club should have a strong stand to this modern player attitude and childishness, maybe it's time for a new "bosman" type ruling which dictates power over the agreed contract. {Ed002's Note - In the big scheme of things most clubs control it or keep it in house. Wages have gone way beyond the curve and that is a problem - particularly to the likes of QPR, Portsmouth etc.. Behaviour is an issue with the youngsters - and clubs are standing up to it now - Chelsea sacking Hunte is a good example. Senior players are speaking out - Carragher is one. We have seen major issues in France with the International side that has not entirely gone away. It is thought by a few of the "people who are" that once we get down to a different structure we will also start to see individual sponsorship - and players who screw around (for want of a term) will not attract the necessary sponsorship. I witnessed a "well known foreign international" verbally rip in to a "well known English international" first hand. This was all to do with a story in a tabloid about the player that several English players found humorous. Attitudes are better on the continent, but are sadly dropping in some cases.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you've got the wrong paper for Kardashian matters. That's the SLUM or the Star.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would that verbal incident be Joe Hart and Zlatan Ibrahimovic by any chance? As they had a spat in the 3-2 game which England won. {Ed002's Note - These were players at the same club and not during a game.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Before you have a pop at the Mail try a few other comics like the Star, Mirror, Viz or the persons favourite, the Guardian. Now forgetting the press, I agree with the other intelligent poster. Clubs now need to stand up against greedy players who take the paying fans money through extortionate season ticket prices and make them stay loyal. Loyal being a word missing in Spanish! Make Swerez sit on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree2

We can`t have it both ways. On one hand we say that the owners are not that present at the club then when they get involved, we say they should be quiet. And because we are not used to seeing something happen does not necessarily make it wrong. Arsenal have disrespected Liverpool if what Henry said about telling Gazidis that we are not selling Suarez to gunners is true. Arsenal chose to bid anyway knowing that the bid(s) are NOWHERE near the evaluation. Adding the extra pound to the 40m is the height of callousness and disrespect. If henry thinks he`s been slapped in the face then as the owner, he should be allowed to voice his disapproval. Remember he did not say that Suarez will never be sold. He simply said that Arsenal should quit their childish games or pay the fee. That`s my honest take on the matter.

Agree1 Disagree0

Have to be more careful slamming the Mail now that Carragher writes for them.

Hi Eds,

A few questions here,

- I've heard news that as of today we have finally reached an agreement with Valencia over Cissokho, can you confirm or deny this rumour?

- Is there any chance we would be moving for Ganso? I thought he's excellent and would pair up with Coutinho well.

- I also heard there's a bid for Alderwiedel (not from us), do you see us making a bid soon as well, since somebody has already taken an initiative?

Cheers! {Ed002's Note - (1) No. (2) No. (3) Liverpool has not shown any interest in making a bid after their initial contact weeks ago.}

How does a reported bid from a Russian team convert to it really being a bid from Liverpool.?!

Agree1 Disagree0

What a tragic state that we cannot afford £6m for a top international CB for a position we clearly need and confirmed we want to strengthen

Agree2 Disagree5

It doesn't mean we can't afford £6 million it means BR isn't interested. Just because a player is available it doesn't mean we go after him automatically. If we bought all the players posters on here want us to we'd have the biggest squad of any club in the world. We'd also have a huge mixture of good and bloody awful players. {Ed002's Note - The bid is from Spartak and a bid is expected from Spurs.}

think the bid from spurs ed is for eriksen? i'm told they prefer chiriches or otamendi as centre halfs, I know that the chiriches deal seemed to have fallen through? but i'm told its still on going? {Ed002's Note - I am saying what Ajax are expecting - and they have nothing on the table for Eriksen at all - but expect a move to Milan still to be the most likely.}

You're probably sick of hearing his name but. Suarez 'could' be on a flight to London. My wife is from Chester and has just shown me a picture of a smiling Suarez getting on a flight to London which has been posted by one of her old school contacts. I can provide the photo but it's not as if he's posing with a copy of today's paper or anything, plus, I'm not sure if I can even post images on here (being a first time poster). He could be going to see the sites. he could be going to see Arsene?

Believable18 Unbelievable47

I can back this up as I all so seen the same picture by a lad from the hoole area in chester posted, but am guessing he's on his way to join up with uraguay were ever they are playing next .

JW Henry said he won't be going.

Agree1 Disagree0

So which bit of the 'he will not move to Arsenal' don't you get?

Agree1 Disagree0

He could also be going to get his connecting flight for the international break

Agree0 Disagree0

I think not mate. He is on international duty. He will not be sold to any club in the Premeir League, I cannot understand why people cannot get this.

I work with Americans and trust me they are the last people you want to upset. They are ruthless business people and if they are made angry, (as is the case with Arsenal and his constant comments about Suarez in the press) I can tell you he will never deal with Arsenal again.

This is personal now and I firmly believe Susrez will not be sold to anyone. JH is very upset and he would be prepared to let Suarez rot in the reserves. We hold all the aces, remember three years on his contract, no release clause and a World Cup year. Suarez will have no option but to apologise to get playing time for this years World Cup. You mark my words.

Agree3 Disagree0

The Plank 's response takes the cake for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

At last, Lang is one person that speaks sense in this Suarez story.
It was about time Liverpool stands ground on primadona players and show that players will not be getting their way that easily.
People suggesting to be sold on a rival team less than his true value know nothing about business and football.
Suarez does not have an ace in his sleeve apart, from burning bridges and crying in newspapers. If he wants WC or a big team coming to get him next year then he will need to apologize and play excellent as last year. Otherwise it will be a lose lose situation and if he is that stupid then let it be that way.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am with Langdale. About time someone other than me spoke sense on this site!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, Don. The prisoners can`t be running the asylum. Another thing, it seems that people want to have it both ways. On one hand they say that clubs need to stand firm and hold these players accountable for the contracts they sign and on the other hand, they want us to sell a player to a rival below his true value because he`s going to sulk and he won`t be happy or because he`s going to be a cancer. If he`s going to be a cancer then put him in quarantine as BR has done with Suarez. No one is bigger than the club goes both ways. Suarez could have refused to resign the contract last summer but he did and took all the money and incentives that came with it. We didn`t get top 4 and it was partly his fault for that too. Now he wants out and throws the club, fans, coaches and teammates under the bus. Ronaldo didn't do that just to move to RM and neither has Bale so those cases are different. Our club will no longer be taken for mugs and if we cave to his demands, we are sending a bad message to the rest of the players and to other clubs in general. Other players in the dressing room will think they can do the same and that MUST be avoided. He will go BUT only when we say so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to ad to what Langdale said. I live in America and what he posted is absolutely correct. Americans have and show no mercy when it comes to their business and assets. Arsenal have gotten Henry very upset to the point of him even commenting on the issue. Arsenal will NEVER have Suarez if he follows thru with what he`s saying and EVERYONE had better get used to it.

Hey Eds, L'Equipe are this morning reporting that Sakho has told PSG he wants to leave and will be allowed to do so. Also mentions that we will lodge a €13 bid this coming week, do you know of any truth to this? Thanks a lot. {Ed002's Note - See previous answer please.}

Hi Eds, Sakho has just told PSG he wants out. Multiple papers reporting that both LFC and Milan will bid later this week. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Monaco swoop.
Thoughts? {Ed002's Note - Sakho is on the list of targets for Monaco. Arsenal and Lyon have sustained interest in Sakho and there is some interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Manchester City and possible interest lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Baader has explained that AC Milan and Liverpool have recently enquired about his availability but PSG are not keen on selling and the player was adamant that he wanted to stay. However, Laurent Blanc remains concerned about his attitude and would be willing to let him move on - that could be facilitated after the departure of Leonardo who had been lending Sakho his support. Would be an excellent buy if Agger or Skrtel were to move on, and not out of the question.}

Believable18 Unbelievable6

There is worries that he is predominantly a left sided defender, where Agger plays. It seems Agger won't leave this summer so maybe Sakho isn't realistic right now.

Agree0 Disagree3

Hello Ed,
1) what happened to Skrtel's move to Napoli or Zenit?
I thought he was close to moving on.

2) Secondly is it true Rodger's has blocked Downing's move to West Ham as he wants him to stay?
Is he for real, the only real moment of happiness for LFC fans was Downing moving on and now he has blocked it. {Ed002's Note - (1) There is nothing to report about his move to Napoli at the moment. (2) I really have no idea what you are referring to.}

If Blanc has concerns over the guys attitude, do we really want to be picking up someone else with over sized ego complex. {Ed002's Note - You nee to get yourself registered.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Why is it that any player that we show interest in [ and in some cases show NO interest in ] should be automatically superior to a player already on our books. I was keen on the signing of Downing but freely admitted he had a poor first season. He had a much better season last time and while he's not a £40 million Brazilian super star he certainly wouldn't cause me to rejoice by leaving. We need a SQUAD not just 11 stars. We need to be able to use another plan or system during a game and we need to have cover for injuries. As to his move to West Ham well the press originally claimed he was off to Newcastle which the Geordies hotly denied so I guess now some football hack has plucked Fat Sam's team out of the hat and re-written the transfer rumour.

Agree5 Disagree2

Downings ability is poor, his work rate is one of the worst in the squad, his wages are ridiculous and there are much better players available both in the transfer market and within our club. He is the exact sort of player we should be looking to move on and if we do I'll be delighted.
