Recently there's been a lot of talk in Portugal about Liverpool being interested in Sporting's Rui Patrício and that he could be sold for around €15 million. Is there any truth in that? (Not discussing the money, just the possible transfer)

I was in Lisbon today, funnily enough nobody mentioned this.

Eds,
Is it possible we may look into a player+cash deal if we sell Sterling this summer.
For instance to Real Madrid with Benzema involved, or say, City for Jovetic + cash?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really would advise against complicating transfers but Real Madrid do have a lurking interest in Sterling as do Arsenal who have Walcott as a possible option for Liverpool. It sure as hell won't be Jovetic.}

I'd be tempted by Walcott + the 20mln if that money is spent on a Pjanic, Schneiderlin, Milner or similar. The deal would strengthen midfield + Walcott is a more natural winger, and can back up as a striker too and I'm sure his pace will trouble with Coutinho feeding into him.

I don't think Walcott will be as good as Sterling might become, but right now it's pretty close, and there's no guarantee Sterling will get there (and he probably won't be at Liverpool if he does either). In addition we have Coutinho/Ibe/Llalana so plenty of other talent to develop at CAM. The other trouble is Walcotts injury history but may not necessarily recur.

Would you go for it Ed?

{Ed001's Note - no.}

Don't see the big deal with Theo to be fair. Not consistent, injury prone, do we really need a player like him!

{Ed002's Note - Zero chance.}

Morning eds, are we likely to see llori playing for us next year?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is hard to say what will happen with Ilori, but I think it unlikely that Liverpool will be interested in having him back - unless there is a change of manager. Real Sociedad are keen to take Ilori on a permanent deal with Sunderland, Celtic and Hull also declaring an interest.}

Its a real shame that he doesn't get a place in the squad. he should be there ahead if skrtel!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't suppose is too happy at Liverpool failing to play him in his first season and then not knowing what to do with him, sending him out on loan at the last minute for the second. Ilori, Aspas and Alberto represent more than £22M of wasted transfer funds by Rodgers with no plan at all how to use the players formulated by the club. This is a prime example of the dreadful mismanagement of funds and players that the owns will want cut out completely.}

I don't see or figure how anyone can say he should be in the team ahead of skrtel. really???
