Daily star reporting that lfc are close to signing man city youngster Rafael camancho? Just wondering if the eds can confirm or deny please?

Believable2 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - no idea who that is sorry.}

10 May 2016 21:52:51
Apparently he's a 15yr old who city don't look like they will offer a contract to. Only going by the article. But thanks for the reply.

Agree1 Disagree8

{Ed001's Note - ah ok cheers, impossible to find out as he is not a professional yet, without asking academy staff. I will try asking but they might not even know as the contracts are not as firm at that age.}

11 May 2016 13:26:50
Daily star = deny 😄.

Rumours of Spurs £20m interest in Lallana and West Ham interest in Benteke. I must say I would be ecstatic to get that back for them two. We were never going to get back anywhere near what we paid for either seeing as we overpaid by about £10m on both.

Would not be happy to see Lallana go. He is a starter in our current squad, and even with additions I think will make significant contributions to the first team. He also fits well into Klopp's system and presses well.

Benteke obviously just does not fit.

Don't know what happened but half message has disappeared. £25m Benteke interest and £20m Lallana interest and I would be ecstatic if we got that for these two was my gist.

10 May 2016 17:41:17
Lallana is a key player for us. He's improving with every game under Klopp who seems to like him.
Why on earth would we sell him.
I can see Benteke leaving . but hopefully not Lallana.

Am starting to like lallana. Should b still a very good squad player next season. I would be keeping him in my opinion.

10 May 2016 18:48:19
Lallana has improved a bit but i'm still not a fan. In terms of Benteke i've always like him and have felt a little bit sorry for him but at the same time he doesn't really press the way Klopp wants and if one player doesn't do their job it kind of makes the others pressing just waste energy if a free bit of space opens up and he just doesn't seem to fit our system. I think a move would be mutually beneficial for both parties as it looks like he isn't really going to be in future plans. Good look to him though if he does go. Ill always remember his OHK vs Utd.

I really think Lallana as improved loads as the season as gone on, I would certainly keep him next season, continuity will be very important to a successful season.

10 May 2016 19:03:39
Lallana is a player Klopp loves and why would anyone be happy letting Spurs have a player who will make them stronger.

Agree14 Disagree10

10 May 2016 19:23:42
Lallana has improved a lot but still doesn't offer enough goals for the amount of games he's played and the positions he gets in.

Agree6 Disagree13

10 May 2016 19:29:47
Lallana has constantly been the trigger for the pressing game as the season has progressed . He goes the rest go with him.

Personally I think he's becoming an integral member of the team. Mind you he's JKs neighbour, and co actor in the face cream adverts, so maybe he's nailed on to stay now anyway!

Agree9 Disagree10

10 May 2016 20:28:27
I think the Ed's previously said that everyone could be for sale (they did say Coutinho and Frimino would ideally be kept to build a team around and also they have not heard of any interest in Lallana) .

To get £45m for both of those for me would be good business and give JK the ability to buy some players he would like (you would hope for £45m we could get a GK, LB and CB) .

Defo defo keep lallana. he's been great the last few weeks. Be madness 2 sell him the spurs.

Lallana to spurs, not going to happen. He going to miss Klopp's hug.

11 May 2016 11:08:26
If the rumors of Götze is reliable, and we can redeem £20M for Lallana, and get £25M for Benchteke, that more than covers Göetze, and probably will cover both agent fees and potential sign on fees, and Marios salary (B and L combinded)

And if Götze is arriving anyways, Lallana will mostly come off the bench in the big games and play as Allen have this year.

I wote for selling, if Götze is on the way that is. Besides that, Lallanas energy have been vital for our pressing game since X-mas.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't work like that Dan.}

11 May 2016 13:30:10
Kloppo loves Lallana. I think, in general, there are certain players who will only be sold if we are recruiting definite upgrades.
Lallana is one of these. He is having his best form under Klopp and is improving IMO. Unless someone much better is coming, he won't be sold.

Morning redmen,

Sorry there was no loan update last week, I was struck down by flu! But don't fear I am back to best.

Welcome to the penultimate loan update 😲

Grujic and red star finally lost! Losing 3-1 at home on Saturday. The recent curtail in results suggests many of them are already on their holidays.

It looks like Allan and st truiden are on holiday too, losing 3-0 on Saturday.
I have no idea how they are near the top of the league they seem to lose every week!?!

Returning from injury Luis Alberto helped deportivo beat villareal 2-0. Alberto played for 85 minutes.
Ever since we beat villareal the yellow submarines have been sinking. Sorry.

After missing a penalty last week ballotelli was an unused sub as AC won 1-0.

Poor old markovic, first he gets injured. Since then he has had to watch as fenerbache have let their title challenge slip away.
A 2-1 defeat at the weekend all but handed the title to besiktas.

Fsv fans look away now! A 1-0 defeat sees them slip into the relegation zone with just one game to play! Awoniyi came on for the final 10 but couldn't change the result.
Big game next week!

Samed yesil must think its Christmas! The forgotten striker came on for 2minutes as luzern won 2-1.

Swindon finished the season in 16th rounding off the season with a 3-0 home win!
Vigouroux is M. I. A at the moment though!? Was he one of the players doing balloons!?

Wisdom is injured again! And could only watch on as it beat Norwich 1-0. Relegation looms

Portsmouth and Fulton lost 2-1 on Saturday, however they finished 6th meaning they are in the league 2 play offs!
Unfortunately Fulton lost his starting place a while back.

Brentford wrapped up the season in style with a 5-1 away win to Huddersfield.
Canos opened the scoring in the first minute and played well until he was subbed in the 70th.

And that's your lot for this week redmen.
Next week will be the last loan update of the season. Its been emotional 😉.

Sint-Truidense near the top of the league? Where on earth did you get that from? They avoided relegation on goal difference and finished rock bottom of a rather crap Europa League playoff group.

No idea on grujic, the ap on my phone won't follow red star and i can't read their language! I can only relay the scores in afraid.

And thanks koparmy, makes sense as he suddenly disappeared.

It's okay about Markovic. Besiktas are a far cooler club than Fenerbahce, especially as their main fan group Çarşı literally fought the police forces of authoritarian Turkish President Erdogan during Gezi protests.

Forza Çarşı!

cheers la, these are probably my favourite posts to read here. Getting excited for Grujic and hope Allan's work permit issues are sorted in time for him to be considered "home grown" for us. The future looks promising - except for Wisdom of course.

Hey Eds and Reds,
I read on an ESPN transfer website (normally drivel to drive traffic), that Tottenham are looking to reunite Lallana and Poch for 20 mill.

I think it was Ed01 who said that he would not force Lallana out, but would take a decent offer. Just seeing if there is any truth that he is a target?

Also if there is merit in letting him go, as that is a good return, but I am somewhat conflicted on Lallana. He does run his mouth too much but he has been one of the few who seems to really enjoy playing for the shirt and he does try. Could we see him move?

Believable0 Unbelievable10

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of. I would have to say he can't be aware of it as of yet either, as he has not said anything to people about it. Like you said he does tend to run his mouth, which is why I am amazed he joined us, as he said a lot of things about us in the past when he turned us down a few years before.}

09 May 2016 18:13:14
Hope so please.

I'm trying to think who would fetch 20-25 mil in England, I'd be surprised if anyone offered that straight of the bat for benteke, maybe sturridge?

Agree1 Disagree10

09 May 2016 18:23:49
Michy Batshuayi, Alexandre Lacazette and Mauro Icardi.

Agree5 Disagree11

09 May 2016 18:38:11
Batshuayi or lacazette will be the €30 mil bid that he is talking about but he then said if that is unsuccessful the will bid £20-25 mil for an English based striker, tgey have been linked with benteke, bony and sturridge. Looking at the types of players the French based lads are I would be surprised if it was benteke or bony.

Agree1 Disagree10

10 May 2016 09:53:45
Actually I heard that the £20m bid from West Ham in the Premier League was for Theo Walcott. Which is good news from our perspective as it means that we won't be linked with him any more!

Agree5 Disagree5

10 May 2016 11:56:45
What did Lallana say about us in the past ed?

Agree1 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - said he would never join us as he was an Everton fan.}

10 May 2016 12:22:59
This is non sense. Klop values Lallana who is one of the first names on the team sheet. Lallana suits the Klop pressing game. Lazy journalism looking for sensational stories to print.

Agree4 Disagree3

10 May 2016 13:54:00
I know Klopp seems to favour Lallana (calling him his neighbour), but I believe Klopp would not stake his relationship or the potential of the team on any player.

Lallana can be upgraded if we are to challenge for greater prizes as his end product and score ration is woeful (does a nice FIFA turn though) . Same goes for Henderson for me.

Maybe someone like Kevin Volland could be such.

cue the naysayers.

10 May 2016 15:19:16
Actually if Lallana can sold and use to fund say. Reus. Seriously y not?

10 May 2016 18:47:51
No way we sell Lallana to a rival club and I can't see him pushing for a move to get there. I personally think he's been one of our more consistent players this year; he hasn't scored a ton, but he's chipped in with a fair few now, and he's clever with the ball when he gets it. Some of our best games this season have come with Firmino, Lallana and Coutinho attacking.

I feel our midfield is one of the deepest in the league, we just needed some time to get used to Klopp's style of play and some luck to avoid injuries to our forwards and centerbacks. Knowing Ings, Origi, Henderson, Gomez and Sakho will be back next year with Grujic and Matip in the mix makes me really look forward to next season.
