Liverpoolfc.tv have reported that Liverpool are potentially involved in transfer negotiating with Spanish club Sevilla for their winger Diego Perotti. Reds manager Kenny Dalglish is seeking creative ways to best utilize Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, and Sevilla winger Diego Perotti just might be an excellent addition to the Anfield outfit. Dalglish said when speaking to Liverpool.tv:

So Italian sources leaked to La Gazzetta Della Sport have apparently revealed a meeting between Roma officials and FC Porto manager Villas Boas where he has refused the possible offer from Roma's new potential owners to become their manager as he said to them that he has some form of agreement with Liverpool, pre contract possibly, and that Mourinho his old mentor advised him that Italy was not the right place for him at the moment. I don't know if these details are absolutely correct as the source is in Italian but what do you make of the rumours?

BBC Sport just retweeted a quote that claims Villa Boas has a pre-arranged agreement with Liverpool.

-IamTheCosmos

{Ed002's Note - So Kenny out then?}

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No idea as I've no connections to any sources or the club. When Roy was destorying the club I said that I'd like either Owen Coyle or Villa Boas. .but Kenny is doing so well and I'd like him to get the job full time. That being said, the quote could be wrong. .but I assume the BBC would normally be cautious about quotes and articles?

-IamTheCosmos

{Ed002's Note - Typically the BBC would quote what is being reported elsewhere to separate themselves from any chance of misreporting something.}

Yes, Tommo really said Enrique is a done deal.

"From what I've heard, yes the deal has been done and he will come to Liverpool, " he told TV2.

"It'll be interesting because he's done very well. He had a difficult first season coming into the Premiership a couple of years ago but he really understands the game now.

"He's one of those full backs who is good going forward but he's also a good defender and I think that is the main thing."

So, now Ed, do you think we should believe him, I mean how reliable, it's Phil Thomson after all? {Ed001's Note - hard to say, some ex-players are terrible sources, as are some current ones. I wouldn't take it as certain myself.}

told you all this 2 weeks ago lads its all over the lfc tv studios as a done deal as i said then hes not my preferred choice

Hey Ed002 , could you please gimme your standard reply on
Alexis Sanchez situation {Ed002's Note - Sure. I will try and explain what I know to be correct and what is “rumoured” about Alexis Sanchez. We know that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made unsuccessful bids, and we know that Manchester United and Barcelona have a declared interest. Juventus had previously been interested but were hoping that (a) Sanchez stayed under the radar until a deal could be struck, and (b) Udinese would look kindly on an arrangement that included some cash and several players either in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. As an aside Juventus have proposed a similar deal for Javier Pastore. Anyway, there was a January meeting with Chelsea in Monaco and broad agreement was reached over the transfer before Giampaolo Pozzo said that the deal must include a loan of the player back to Udinese. Whilst Barcelona were apparently willing to agree to this until the end of the season, Pozzo proposed that whoever Sanchez moved to should allow him to be loaned back for 18 months – hence the end of any discussions. I expect that Juventus will not come back in to the picture. Although Sanchez has been watched by numerous teams, there is nothing new other than a "rumour" that Manchester City may be preparing a bid as well. They have, like Juventus, recently been knocked back in a bid for Pastore and are likely to aim their cheque book in another direction – this may well be Sanchez. I suspect that we will see a saga drag out through the summer transfer window as Pozzo puts the player on the market, takes him off the market, values him at €100M and so on. Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter will all likely remain interested but could well tire of the expected drawn-out negotiations. Manchester United and Chelsea were both originally wary of the player being not quite as robust as needs be for the EPL. Perhaps Inter will get their man. Now you know as much as I do about the matter.}

Liverpool FC legend claims 'done deal' for Newcastle's Jose Enrique

by Richard Buxton, Published Sun 10 Apr 2011 17:58, Last updated: 2011-04-10

Phil Thompson claims that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Newcastle defender Jose Enrique.

The left-back has been on the Anfield radar in recent months with the Magpies expected to command a fee exceeding the £6.3million they paid Villarreal to secure his services in 2007.

Enrique is also a target for AC Milan but former Kop captain Thompson, speaking during an appearance on Norwegian television, understands that talks to make the 25-year-old a Reds player have been finalised.

Enrique has held off talks over extending his current contract at St James Park, which expires in 16 months' time, until the end of the season.

Afternoon Eds I see many names linked with us at left back but I personally think that the name that seems most likely as a target for DC (because of his age, price and versatility) would be Domenico would you agree? Are we watching him? How do you rate him?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed002's Note - I assume you mean Criscito. He has, apparently, been watched but firm interest has been shown my the Milanese clubs. Although not first choice for AC Milan, it is a likely destination. Certainly Liverpool could step in.}

Sorry Ed my apologies I did of course mean Criscito, I must have inadvertently erased his surname. Do you personally rate the player? Would you agree that he would fit the DC "profile"

{Ed002's Note - I have to say that I honestly have no recollection of the player at all. I know he is attracting interest but I would need to check for video clips on the scouting sites to see him play. As such, I cannot give much of an opinion. Sorry}

With Joey Barton's contract negotiations stalling i can honestly see us making a move for him. The guy has a awfull attitude but no doubting hes got bags of ability on teh pitch and is what i'd call a proper footballer. I know this won be to everones taste but i could see kenny and steve sorting his hot head out. Whats your thoughts ed's?

Adzii {Ed001's Note - no no no no no. He should be cleaning the toilets in McDonalds after a customer has been in with diarrhea. The lad is spam and should not ever be allowed anywhere near a Liverpool squad.}
-------------------------------------------
surely this is a joke, barton is a proper blob head

{Ed002's Note - Interestingly a regular "poster" (and I use the term in its loosest for), **e*****, has been saying for some months that Mr Barton is on his way to Liverpool. It seems a most unlikely pairing for me.}

Hi ed,
have you ever heard of nicolas douchez playing
for rennes cause according to the french paper
l equipe we are agreed in principal with the player
cause he is free at the end of the season,
thanks MALTA. {Ed001's Note - last week he was about to join Villa to replace Friedel, now he is joining us apparently. All I know is he is a keeper, and he is French, which means he will be linked with us because of Comolli and Villa because of Houllier. I don't think there will be anything more to it than that.}

For the summer we need :

LB- we can forget Baines, it aint happenin, jose enrique looks decent or oscar wendt

CM- looks like charlie adam is on his way but my choice wud be either javi martinez or pjanic

RW/ LW- willian wud be great but all depends on the fee, ashley young imo will choose united over us

ST- we need a class back up striker, because he will spend most of the time on the bench i think a youngster is the best option with either wickham or lakuku

ed wud like to hear your views {Ed002's Note - The players mentioned are generally viable except teh strikers. Wickham has just signed a new contract at Ipswich meaning it is less likely he will move this year. Anderlecht are seeking 30M euro for Lukaku and that has removed a number of the likely buyers form the chase as he is way too high a risk to take at anything like that price. If the price is lower, Liverpool may find themselves vying with the likes of Spurs and a couple of other clubs for his signature.}

Reina could be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, with Arsenal being the favourites to capture Liverpools prized asset.

However if Arsenal sign Reina, it could be part of a player + cash deal.

10 Apr 2011 16:31:23
Re Reina: Ex Arsenal goalkeeper and keeper coach Bob Wilson confirmed that Arsen Wenger had a £20m bid turned down in summer. They will try again for a big signing keeper this summer with Wenger very keen on Reina.

Hi Ed's. Lots of rumours going on that we are close to getting Wickham. Have you heard anything? And do you have any thoughts on him, I haven't seen much of him.

No1SAfan {Ed001's Note - I don't think we are chasing him at all right now, though Jewell is keeping the club informed on his status. Sometimes he is pure class, other times he just looks like a lump with a terrible touch. With the right handling he can be a top class player, but he needs to work on his technique as he is far too reliant on being big and strong right now.}

Heard that Liverpool are not interested in Charlie Adam anymore but are instead looking to Real Madrid's rejects.

Namely. Gago, Diarra and Canales.

This is what my mate texted me last night:

Baines has agreed to sign for us we just need to agree a fee with Everton.

Benzema agreed to sign in Jan, Real said wait until the summer. I expect a deal to go through.

Adam and Young are very close to signing.

We are in talks with PSV and Dzsudzsak currently and he is very interested in a move here.

Cahill is wanted for CB, Kenny and scouts have attended Bolton matches and are keen on the lad.

I expect one more signing, don't know whether it will be a winger or a centre mid.

"REINA. . IS DEFO LEAVEING IN THE SUMMER HE, S ALL READY TOLD THE CLUB HE WANTS TO LEAVE . BELIEVE ME OUR NOT BUT WAS TOLD TODAY BY A VERY GOOD SOURCE (NOT HP OR HEINZ)FROM IN SIDE THE CLUB THAT HES GOING . . TO A LONDON CLUB THATS ALL HE WOULD TELL ME . HE S NEVER BEEN WRONG IN PAST . .SO ED CAN U PUT THIS IN YOUR ARCHIVES FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WILL DOUBT ME SO I CAN BRING IT UP WHEN IT HAPPENS .THANKS 8 APRIL 2011. JOE THE RED Y.N.W.A"

Considering that Reina was in the Guardian saying that he would consider a move to another English club (even United) we can safely say there's a good chance a move away could happen.Not definite, but a possibility. I think he's preparing us after seeing Torres bullsh*tting us up until the last transfer window - I respect the guy for his honesty. So the questions are 1. Why are you so pleased with yourself spouting stuff that's in the public domain? 2. Why are you shouting? The eds right, turn off the cap-locks, people.

Ok, first of all I'm not a professionals son nor do I know a friend of a friend of a groundskeepers dog, however I do have a friend who is a sports journalist who in the past has given me some very accurate information about transfers ie torres, garcia, alonso, suarez and carroll, I'm not claiming to say that this is a "done deal" as so many claim but I have been told that since January tlaks have been under way between Liverpool and Arsenal regarding a swap deal that will see Reina go south and two players come north, apparently after Arsenal failed with a striaght cash bid in the summer Reina was told that he could leave this summer if the club failed to qualify for Europe (which is looking more likely) The information I have been given is that LFC are looking for Clichy, Arshavin and Walcott in exchange, understandibly Arsenal are reluctant to let these players go, Wilshire name has also been "mentioned" although LFC were quickly rebuffed after this suggestion. As I s talks are "ongoing" and it may happen in the summer, If I can get any more "concrete" information I will post as soon as I can. Interesting times.

Hey ed who are the 3 most likeliest wingers to come to LFC in the summer? {Ed002's Note - I guess Young and Marveaux are the most likely. Anything else would be speculation at this time.}

*******************
Not seen much of Marveaux and Young likes to have a roaming role and comes inside all the time (plus disappears in a lot of games).
Imo, Jarvis & Albrighton are two genuine widemen and prob best two crossers in EPL at present. I hope we having a serious look at them. they both seem to have awesome attitudes as well.
