The striker market is so poor at the moment. Any chance we decide to make do and wait until next summer, when there might be better options out there?

Maybe sign a lesser known kid to develop whilst sharing the role with Diaz/ Wirtz/ whoever can play false 9? Or utilise Danns/ Koumas in that role.

There is a lot to be said for spending money on one seasoned centre back, one to ripen at home, and then a striker who can be developed along with Danns, if he sorts out his injuries. Hato hasn’t been playing CB, so Ait Boudlal might be your ripening CB and Agbadou your PL-ready one. Up front, Stassin or the Rennes 9. I think the Isak money is better spent on defence (Hato next year) where we can improve and best Arsenal’s performance.

Neither Danns or Koumas are anywhere close to being ready for the first team, IMO.

We have the best set up on the planet to bide our time and choose well - i agree, it won't be long until the next great new thing has come along ready for picking.

Hope not. For all we know it market might even be worse then!

There’s a few out there who would definitely improve us though. Nunez, Jota and Diaz upfront is quite a far way off where we need to be, can’t be that hard surely to get someone in who’s going to improve us.

Although we can bide time if we can get as many first choice players in that we can afford and improve team then is time to do it. Whilst ahead from last season I’d prefer if possible to extend the gap.

Having said that, Isak and osimhen would bag a rake of goals between them.

As long as it's not Martinez watched him in the club world cup wasn't impressed.

I want to start by just saying that I do think that we need to replace Nunez with somebody far more reliable up top and Isak would be the dream, however.

If Nunez is still around when we kick off our pre-season I would actually be interested to see how he plays with the 2 new fullbacks bombing down the wing and putting crosses into the box. It might not make any difference at all but his big problems tend to be when he has time to think. On paper it looks suited to him and firing crosses into him might just allow him to play more on instinct and stop overthinking. Sometimes all it takes is a small change like that to release somebody's potential (and I do still genuinely believe that he has bags of potential in the right environment) .
