Ed1 who is better player between Wirtz and Cherki in your view.

{Ed001's Note - Wirtz, by a mile, he is not a lazy get. Cherki is a new Paul Pogba - great in highlight reels but does f all in reality other than a fancy flick or two for 90 minutes.}

Cherki first first for the goal last night was so bad all he could do was volley it- luckily it arrowed in. He’s a very good player but pep will probably drill those bits out of him and he will be a functional technical attacker.

Cherki could become an absolute superstar at Man City. Or he will become the next grealish as Pep beats the flair out of him. Interesting to see who wins as he fights it out with Foden and marmoush for the number 10. Or Savinho and Doku for wings - how many players do City need ?.

You are absolutely spot on there ed001. Hit the nail right on the head about cherki. I live in lyon and often go to watch ol play. He's the french jack grealish. Fancy dan who looks great on motd but little work ethic and rarely tracks back and works for the team. Wirtz all day long over cherki.

I haven’t seen much of Cherki but what I have seen he reminds me a bit of Payet that used to play for West Ham.

Bags of ability but seems a pain in the backside and thinks he’s the man so doesn’t have to put a shift in.

Have to say Cherki looked good last night - a big man - almost like a Zidane but that's just based on 30min football. Hadn't seen him before.

It was some game - that guy Barcola went past Porro like he was on a scooter. Some speed. Lamal - wow! Pedri. Super game for the neutral. Spain going to be around for some time!

IBou didn't exactly cover himself in glory though but he was surrounded by a few duds. Van dijk does calm him a lot however - very exposed in a France shirt.

A bit suprised at the price City were looking to get him, and they are the only club interested. Is that the reason why not many big clubs were looking at him Ed? Or does he also have off field issues or attitude issues?

It looks pep has signed two duds with him and the wolves left back also his January signings didn’t inspire much, considering arsenal are bottle jobs you’d have to say we’re clear favourites for 21 next season.
