Fair result given the first leg, but still gutted.
Have to say though, I was watching on my iPad propped up on the deck of my beachfront holiday accommodation in Rarotonga, cook islands, so it did soften the blow somewhat ?.

I thought we played reasonably well tonight but they just had more pace and energy so always looked dangerous. It does emphasise what we are missing as we don’t have the players off the bench. Robertson was short again tonight bar 2 crosses later in the game his delivery was terrible. Gravenberch struggled over the 2 legs for me. We are definetly a quality midfielder or 2 short as MacAllister and Szoboslai can’t play every match. And honestly I can’t believe Slot started with Jota tonight when you actually had a Nunez confident and in a bit of form. Never fancied us in the pens. but let's hope we win Sunday then its still a fantastic season!

Ibiza, what did Nunez contribute when he came on? I'd like him and Jota gone in the summer. Their careers with us have run their course. In the case of Nunez, his ran into an offside position.

Nunez started brightly when first on. It felt like we had more urgency but that was gone in Extra Time.

Jota played utterly awful. Every ball just bounced off him. So many misplaced passes or ultimately whenever he received the ball, the attack would die. I am surprised he made it to 70 mins in all honesty.

Nunez started well BUT we couldn't get the ball to him in good areas cos Salah was having a m'mare and Diaz looked knackered. We also looked jaded cos those games back to back to back are starting to tell on our guys.

I thought we played well and were the better team in the second half BUT it looked like as soon as Trent came off, we lost all momentum cos he was killing them in attack and defence. Pens? It is what it is. On to the EFL final.
