Imagine if you will.
Klopp releases a statement saying he made a terrible mistake and wanted his job back.
Would you take him over Arne?
For me, I loved Klopp, and will be forever grateful for what he did for the club, but Arne seems to have taken us to another level.
Would you want Jürgen over Arne?

Arne Slot all day.

Never. The past should be left alone. Arne is the future.

I'd have to tell him to come back when slot is finished. We all love Jürgen, but how could you bin Arne when he's only lost 1 game that actually mattered all season?

A lot of people on here will tell you that you have to keep moving forwards or you go backwards. We have moved on from . jurge, why would we want to go backwards?

Jurgen is a legend but they always say you should never go back in football and I agree. It was a hell of a ride and I always got the feeling that he adored the club but…. Arne is doing an amazing job with the same group of players that JK had in his last season. He’s the future for the club it would seem.

The irony being slot is flying with klopps squad. Ask the question in 4 years when this team has petered out and morphed into a slot team. Then we can have this team v slots team 2029 team.

I think Klopp was perfect for us for where we were at when he first came in and for several years after. But he wasn't the most tactically sophisticated. There's a reason why Carlo Ancelotti and Sean Dyche repeatedly did him over and that's because he repeatedly set his team out in the same way and they could make a game plan for that.

If we''re being honest, the football post-covid was nowhere near as good as the football in the years before. That's when they started to try out Lijndersball and it didn't really work as that isn't Klopp's philosophy and he was trying to be something that isn't natural for him from a style of play point of view. For where the club is at now, we need someone more tactically nuanced if we are serious about becoming serial winners.

Nah man. As much as I love Klopp and felt he was a perfect fit for us, it was the right time for him to move on.

He's one of our greatest ever managers, without a shadow of a doubt and that's how it should stay.

Best answering that question in maybe 2 years.

Klopp rebuilt the culture of winning at the club. That vibe we see at the AXA training centre is no accident.

Slot comes in to build on this with his coaching acumen and business-like approach to winning.

As of today, how can we suggest a better alternative scenario. Things are going pretty well - apart from the contract nonsense.

Klopp made his bed and we have moved on.

Aye, Klopp made his bed and we moved on. With the players that he left us.
Klopp built the team that Slot is managing.

Klopp will always be a legend for us, an absolutely one of a kind manager who gave us some of the best years we could have asked for. When he announced he was leaving, it felt like a bad breakup, shock, denial, and a lot of “what do we do now? ” moments. But credit to him, he knew when it was time to go, even if we weren’t ready to hear it.

Fortunately, we have been lucky with Slot’s arrival. In a remarkably short period, he has brought a fresh perspective and revitalized the team with his tactical approach. Given what he has achieved so far, his impact has been nothing short of extraordinary.

So that means we should just hire him back after he realised his mistake by leaving or what exactly is your point?

Again, Klopp made his bed and went to live another life, which is what he wanted and all the best to him and his fam. And we moved on and Slot has picked up the baton and is running with it. Get over it and most importantly, get over yourself.

I’ll answer this question when Arne has to rebuild his own squad under the FSG dregs. He will either keep us competitive or turn into Brendan.

I think we got both managers at the perfect time. Klopp is the perfect manager to completely revolutionise a poor team and transform the culture, Arne is the guy you want to fine tune and already well oiled machine. He’s adding a bit of perfection

Wouldn’t dream of comparing it to those two but Shankly and Paisley was a similar situation.

Jurgen reminded everybody what Liverpool FC is - in the same gregarious manner that Shanks used building Liverpool FC in the first place. There are the beginnings of echoes of Sir Bob in Arne - gets the job done in a ruthless fashion. I do think there may be parallels although, as has been said, time will tell.

Oli, I don't you understand what 'you've made your bed' means.
Klopp finished because he wanted a break; he was tired.
He made us into one of the top sides in England and Europe again. He left us in a strong position and we are where we are now and a lot of that is down to him.
I can only think of positives and the wonderful memories when I think of Klopp. I don't think that he should deal with the negative consequences of him deciding to take a break after more than eight seasons with us.

What are you on about Oli?! The poster was just asking a hypothetical question and quite a good one imo. Maybe it's you who should get over themselves!

I'd still with Arne, 100 % tbh! Love him and we are so much better tactically now. Love Klopp and what in done for us but we've moved on and so has he. YNWA.

Something like that @west Derby Wanderer. I know I am not liked by most but there's definitely a few bully boys on this site.

True Rigsby but I reckon he’s getting a better tune out of the team than Jurgen did last season for whatever reason, probably linked to Ljinders having too much influence, the timing of that leaving announcement and awful substitute decisions at times (my one big bugbear with JKs game management) . We’ll really get a measure of Slots ability when the players start to change over the next few years but it’s going really well so far and at this stage, I wouldn’t take JK back.
