Watching the Chiesa interview and the behind the scenes of his signing, it’s really nice to see how genuinely over the moon he is to have signed for us. Just watching that makes me want him to be a success story even more. Fingers crossed he can help the team and win those trophies he came here for!

In the eyes of the owners though perhaps Edwards, Hughes and Ward have been a success.

They’ve brought in quite a bit of money in transfers and the wage bill has been significantly reduced.

For business men that’s music to their ears.

In regards to what happens on the pitch s##t always roles down hill and they will be looking at Slot to carry the can for that if things don’t go as well.

I’m sure what JK says is true, but if we finish outside the top 4 FSG probably would look at others as well as Slot as it would hurt us commercially.

Our best chance of success on the pitch is always going to be the knockout format competitions so long as we take them seriously. Not sure if the Champions League changes help us in that sense. I like to format, and hope we get through the first phase but I suspect the changes won’t make it any easier to win, but should help us make more money.
