Nottingham Forest genuinely believed a money + Matt Turner swap for Kelleher would actually work?

I know this will not be the most popular take here, but I actually want Kelleher to move. He is a really good keeper and I want to see him get the regular minutes he deserves. From the little I have seen of Jaros, he looks good enough to deputise, and its unlikely Alisson will be out for 20 matches again this season. If we can get anywhere near 20mn+ for Kelleher, I think we should allow him to leave.

Ali is the best in the world. But he loves an injury every now n then. Kelleher knows this, knows he’s going to get games in the champions league.
He will likely go far in the cups and have a chance to play finals like he’s done before. It’ll be a hard choice for him to leave Liverpool when he knows the amount of football he actually plays here for a number 2 is a hell of a lot.

Scouse John, I disagree. If the opportunity to get Ali's replacement in place before he actually leaves then sorry, you take it and deal with the rest later.

Imagine we had to go into the market for a top GK the summer Ali leaves. Can you imagine the stupid money clubs will be asking for their GK's cos they know we are desperate for one? Trust me, we would not even be able to pay for Mamardasvili cos Valencia would ask for double what we paid now. Other clubs will be licking their chops, as well.

Sorry but in any market place even in the dating market place, never show desperation cos you will get rolled. Same thing in the transfer window. Kellerher IMO, will be sold next season when Maramadashvili arrives at the club cos he would have one year left on his deal and then he he will be no. 2 if Ali does not go. Just my take.

Don’t see a massive problem in going with Jaros as reserve for 24/ 25, and letting Kelleher go. He’ll be going anyway next summer and would give us a chance to test Jaros in cup games etc. We play a more solid system under Slot also.
