Hi ed001 . would you like to see us go for Ndombele from spurs as a season long loan as they are struggling to get rid and seem to be open to loan offers according to the rags.

{Ed001's Note - no, not on loan, I don't like signing players on loan.}

He's also not that good. I'd rather persist with Keita.

{Ed001's Note - that's not true, Ndombele is a fantastic footballer, his problem is attitude and work rate. Since he joined Spurs both of those have stunk.}

What happened to that guy? Looked so promising. Much was blamed on Mourinho but even Conte doesn’t feel he can rely on him.

I think he's a great talent, always remember Lyon beating Man City a few seasons back. Was wanting to see what all the fuss was about Fekir but ended up being amazed by Ndombele absolutely schooling Man Citys midfield, no easy task.

But then doesn't he have the same problem as Keita? One midfielder who can't be bothered to use his talent seems enough to me.

I love Ndombele, personally. His talent is clear for all to see if you watch him closely. The issue is that he is still very raw at the highest level (came from the French amateur leagues and is only playing his 4th season at the highest level) and if you are that raw, coaches like Mourinho and Conte ain't got NO time for you. That's his problem. Work rate and desire can be coached if he is told why both are important. If not, he looks the way he looks.

As Jude Nkunku said, he along with Houssem Aouar bossed that City midfield in the CL game at the Etihad. They couldn't get any where near him as he was schooling them for fun. The talent is there. He just needs to be nurtured, IMO.

If that's the case, then it wouldn't be such a bad purchase or loan. We need that one persistent, determined water carrier. Without the mouth dropping dribbles, tackles and what not. Milner does that, Hendo does that at times and I think we need one more of those types who just gets the basics done, and done very well each and every single time.

When it comes to man management, I have implicit faith in Klopp. So many times we heard of the troubles a potential player could pose, and after he joined, we never heard a word of those kind of troubles under Klopp. He runs a tight ship, but I suppose the players fear and listen to, him.

Is Ligue 2 in France amateur level?

Ndombele Was playing there in 16/ 17 and moved to Ligue 1 in 17/ 18 and Premier league 19/ 20.

Only my opinion but he falls right into the same category that Naby gets constantly criticised for.

Plus Spurs are chasing us so it would be strange in their behalf’s to sell us a player. We seen how much had ball they played last season with City and Kane.

Workrate and desire should be the bare minimum you get as a professional footballer. No way either should need to be "coached" into you.

Ed001 rumour mill going that Barcelona might not be able to register 2 players with the rumoured 2 being Christiansen and Kessie.

Do we think Kessie would be an option for us if that’s the case as I’m sure it was said on here that we were linked with him last season.

Also Ed002 if he were to leave Barcelona without kicking a ball would he still keep the big singing on few Barcelona gave him and could he also legally be able to sue them for his wages over the length of contract he signed.

{Ed002's Note - I think you completely misunderstand the situation with the registrations. Kessie will not be leaving. He may not be registered for the weekend game but he will be before the end of the transfer window as space and wages are freed up. There are a bunch of outgoings - including perhaps several today.}

Kane is a different scenario though, he is a regular for them and one of their top players.

Ndombele doesn't seem fancied so Spurs may just see it as a way to get a 'problem' off their hands.

It'd be a risk from our side but a loan with an option to buy could work. I wouldn't take a loan in any other scenario though.

A straight loan just allows him to use us and return for more money or a bigger move elsewhere and one with an obligation to buy doesn't give them enough motivation to kick on.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have no interest in the player.}

Ed002 cheers for the reply mate. I thought the article I read would potentially be misleading but then curiosity got the better of me as I don’t think that scenario has ever happened before so just wondered what the outcome would be.

Hope you’re well whether you’re enjoying the sunshine in some foreign country or down in Cornwall on the rattler.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks - I am indeed in Cornwall at present but I don't drink cider at all - although all the local pubs do sell it. Enjoy the good weather.}

WYred you’re spot on there mate it is a massive difference. But imagine the egg on Spurs face if they loaned him to us and he turned into an incredible player for us that plays a major part in us finishing above them.

A lot of ifs and buts I know.

I was down in Cornwall last month (Penzance to be exact), the day we arrived (after a staggered 3-day drive down), we went to the pub for a quick drink - 3 pints of Rattler later and I was gibbering like a budgie! Good stuff!

{Ed002's Note - You went to Penzance for a holiday?}

Ndombele makes Jan Molby look like Kate Moss. He’s so fat you could flick Maltesers at him and they’d find an orbit.

Ed.002 Currently down in Rock on the north coast, having travelled from Japan for the first time in 3 years. Been coming here all my life, grandparents were Cornish, a little bit of heaven with a G&T on the side. Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - Rock is a nice little town.}
