Am getting a bit fed up with all doom members of this site. We won 2 cups last season and were beaten in the final of the CL and lost the pl by 1 point. If you go back 4 years we would have bitten your hand off for a season like that. Mane is the only player to have left and we have bought an actual goalscorer which we have all cried out for, and he looks like a great acquisition. On top of that Utd are in complete disarray and we should look foward to playing them instead of just hoping we get a result. We can't win everything every year, but we will win trophies this season, the glass is nearly full rather than nearly empty.

You have to admit that this is our golden period and we have a golden team. Our best team in decades has coincided with cities dominance.
We could have won 3 PL titles and 3CLs and just have one of each. Its a little heartbreaking. Especially as we were just so close to it. City and real trumped us both times and its a little disappointing to having to come to terms with that.
If Klopp leaves us with just 1 of each trophy i think that is a major under achievement.
So if something can be done to cover that gap even if it is 1 point you can't blame fans for crying out loud for it.
I personally fell we need a defender better than konate gomes or matip and boy i would have loved koulibaly. Others feel it is a midfielder we need.
And that's just how it is.
Fully appreciate what we have achieved but can't help but think it could have been so much more.

{Ed001's Note - Koulibaly? He is no better than Konate and is 31, reliant on power and pace and lacks positional sense. No thank you. Far too erratic and inconsistent a player most weeks.}

Alwaysred great post mate and nice to see positivity. As Liverpool fans we are extremely lucky to have this manager and team and we will challenge for everything this season and we might win it all or we might not win a thing but we’re in the conversation.

(Alwaysred this isn’t aimed at you) Might just be me though but I’m actually getting more fed up on here of posts moaning about moaners over people sharing a negative view. It feels like every post now could be a good discussion, debate or bit of in house banter just gets turned into how dare you have a different opinion over mine comment.

I try to read all the posts on here daily and majority I might not agree with but I either try and debate, fish for a bite with some light hearted sarcasm or move onto the next post to read.

I think it’s a bit Ivory tower / high horse to start giving it I’m a better supporter than you.

Just my 2 pence I’m sure it’ll trigger some big more than happy for them to throw their views back at me.

I think there is two sides to it, being critical or negative is fine as long as its warranted. Everyone is entitled to their views, some see it half full and others half empty. Nothing wrong with that if we all felt the same it'd be a very dull experience.

Personally, it's flippant comments that annoy me but to be honest seems to be a lot less of those currently. There was a time where you would come on here and you think that we had just been relegated with some of the comments.

As long as you can back your view up then it's fair game and can create healthy debate and banter.

But whatever side of the coin your on we are all wanting the same thing and it doesn't make us any better then another.

Wyred spot on mate. I don’t get annoyed by flippant comments because I throw plenty of them and sarcastic ones out there myself.

Truth is if someone posted on here all our players are crap, Klopp is crap and we’re getting relegated I’d probably have a little chuckle but it wouldn’t actually affect me at all.

I’m sure everyone on here are friends with plenty of supporters of other clubs so surely they don’t get triggered when they get some tick from them. Some of the banter I give my UTD mates is great and they used to give as good as they get. But I don’t get all upset about it.

The whole extra midfielder is a non-argument really, Klopp (and the Ed) have said that we’d get the right man, when / if he’s available.
I suppose it’s the latter bit that’s the point of debate.
But Liverpool’s management, from the top downwards, has been very very good and I have faith in them to do the right thing.

Spot on, Juicer. Your comment is what these "fans" refuse to understand and it is this form of narcassissm (I know better than the club from the comfort of my basement) that has engulfed not just many in our fan base BUT footie fans in general, IMO.

This leads to lack of trust in the club and Klopp who btw, they claim to trust when things are going great BUT once things don't go well, they flip back to being negative again within a week. Talk about bipolar behavior.

Then to crown it all, they say cos we did not do what they wanted (sign a midfielder, for ex. ), ALL and ANY ill's that occur in our season (a 63 game season where we won things, btw) is down to that ONE thing the club did not do for them. Seriously? Can't be arsed, man.

Akira1892, I don't care about all that golden era stuff cos we have won EVERYTHING under Klopp despite being outspent by City, Utd and Chelsea throughout his tenure. We have either beaten City to win things or won things they have not won (the CL) . We don't have a right to win everything YET we have. We've won our share and will continue to do so. I'm good with that.

IMO, You cannot demand that we win things. That's spoiled brat behavior, IMO. You can only demand that we compete or have a chance to compete and BY GOLLY, we are competing so well that rival fans would rather see us lose than see their OWN teams compete. We win some. We lose some. Even City DON'T win everything. It's called sports, bro.

As to your point on Konate (I agree Matip should go), the kid just got here and performed very well in his first season with lots of potential to get even better and you already want him gone/ replaced? And replaced by someone a decade older than him who is WAY past his best in Khoulibaly? And this is what we're talking about. Good grief!

Oli so where do you now stand with this comment you made in Jun

Beckers, cos Klopp made a decision does not mean we all have to accept it like some type of cult where the leader dare not be challenged. There are a ton of stuff Klopp has done that I don't agree with (tapping players up gets my goat each time, for ex. ) and have voiced them on here BUT if your only argument is that Klopp knows best.

There's a few in the running ?.

I love the dual position of "we need a body in midfield" and "stop criticising this amazing team". It's super healthy and balanced.

I love coming on here and reading the replies. Regardless what anyone posts it genuinely doesn't bother me in the least. But I will admit that I love to throw a sarcastic "Klopp out" or quote something Klopp has said in a presser just for the laugh (I'm easily amused) and to see the reaction.

JK sarcasm is fine, although some struggle to get its sarcasm as you can't highlight tone on here like you can with speech.

And when I say its annoying it's more a mild head shake maybe a sigh and then go on with my day. Although sometimes I do want to give them a shake and remind them that it can get a lot worse then this and enjoy these good times when they last.

Klopp won't be here forever and there will be a time when we are just competing for top four again (or worse), we just need to enjoy the mild ups and downs. There was a time when we were losing at home to Blackpool!

WYred mate I was only referring to myself ref the flippant and sarcastic comments mate as it would be a little “people in glass houses” from me If I was to moan about others doing it. I enjoy reading your posts on here mate as I do all others.

I give Oli a bit of banter now and again ? but in all honesty I do love reading his posts as well. It’s a good group on here and if anything ever came around where a match meet up and a few beers were organised I’d be first in line.

I think keeping Henderson fit is the key to the midfield debate.
He’s still the most mobile in there, and provides excellent cover if Fabinho is out.
Bellingham would be his successor but it’s the between now and (hopefully) then which is the worry.

JK23 the feeling is mutual, man. Thanks for the compliment and yeah,
love reading your posts as well EXCEPT when you attempt to be sarcastic and it falls flat, lol. All good, bro.

That's the beauty, we're all allowed to have our own opinions.

The Juicer- Henderson is front and centre of the midfield debate. He doesn't have the legs to play this new adapted right sided 8 role since Klopp changed the system. Either Klopp needs to change system to use Hendo more appropriately or find someone with the legs and lungs to play there.

If we are to persist with this system and we continue with Hendo in right sided 8, then prepare for Fabinho to age before our eyes as opposition midfield runners storm through our centre.

PS if Hendo is our most mobile midfielder, then Houston, we have a problem.

Love the captain but he's not being used properly or fairly.

The Juicer - I wasn’t implying that was wrong. I’m saying that is a damning fact.
