Mane heading out for £28 mill plus add ons which will rise upto £35 mill.
Transfer committee ?.

Daylight robbery.

{Ed001's Note - what has the bull about a transfer committee to do with anything other than showing how ignorant Harry is again? The committee is not a real thing, no more than it was when Shanks or Paisley were in charge and the boot room were giving recommendations on who to sign. At the end of the day Klopp makes the final decision, not a committee.}

Yawn go back to the City page.

I don't get why this is so hilarious.

17 Jun 2022 15:32:08
A 30yo player who's showed signs of decline, with one year left on his contract and no intention of renewing, I don't see what's so funny about extracting a decent fee for that.

5.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 15:35:02
A good deal with someone in the last year of the contract.

6.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 15:37:33
Good deal in the end for us we only paid 31 million with 2.5 million in add ons 6 years ago. Plus replacement has already arrived. Good business by the club in my opinion.

7.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 15:42:50
Say Harry, how was the City title parade?

8.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 15:44:32
Wish him well. What a great signing he was. He's already scored a great goal at Bayerns ground. Now for a few more. So long Sadio. Thanks for the service and good luck.

17 Jun 2022 15:58:57
Completely agree.

He helped kickstart the good times again.

Only problem is my 12 year old gets home from school in a minute.

Have to explain to him why the guy in photo above his bed holding the CL trophy is no longer one of our players…

Best accentuate the positives?.

I agree. I thought Manes decline was at its peak from Feb-May this year it was like playing with 10 men with him.

He was a great player for us and Bayern have signed themselves a player that will no doubts produce the goods for them for a few years.

Manes on the decline at 30 but we currently have 8 other players in the squad who are all 30 and above and 1 more who will be 30 in Oct.

It’s an end of an era for me and I’m thankful for everything he’s done for us but things move on and I look forward to seeing our new look front line next season. But I’m not going to slag Mane off out of bitterness.

17 Jun 2022 16:05:04
Wish him the very best. He's been a phenomenon and a catalyst for the Klopp era. No fuss, no drama, no photoshoots, no flashy clothes/ cars. Just an elite pro with the heart of a lion.

Thank you for everything, Sadio. Legend.

He is worth more talent wise but contract length meant lower price.

He was a great servant and should be treated as a legend and with love by everyone associated with the club.

One mistimed joke should not tarnish anything. He has always handled himself with great professionalism and dignity throughout his time and played a huge part in many many trophies. I wish him nothing but the best for his future. Utter legend of our club.

100%, great player, very consistent for the team over a number of years. He turned out to be an absolute steal when we purchased him.

Glad to see Harry has found his balls after disappearing when it looked like Liverpool might actually win all 4 trophies ?. Welcome back, your nonsense has been missed.

15.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 17:01:54
Can I ask- did Harry actually change allegiances or is it just a little slagging? I missed when it happened.

{Ed0666's Note - Harry is currently taking lessons in Arabic & Geordie

Excellent purchase when it happened and an excellent sale now. The man should rightly be remembered as one of the club greats.

No comment on the persistent bull that infects this page since over a decade.

Thanks for everything you’ve done Mane and good luck in the future. Bring on next season!

Best of luck to him at Bayern, he'll do well there.

Important to remember that Mane was a key player for us, helped us win everything we won and is a world class player.

19.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 17:45:07
All this talk of decline? Can’t we just celebrate his contribution to the team and wish him well.

20.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 18:00:07
To be fair JK23, age has nothing to do with decline. Ronaldo arguably peaked between 30-35. Jamie Vardy too. It's a case by case basis.

For example Van Dijk and Matip looked as imperious as ever, but Henderson was often subbed off around 60-75 minutes because his legs are going and his gametime has to be managed.

For me, Mane lost a yard of pace over the last 18 months. It made him less effective as a winger, and thus we replaced him with Diaz. As it turned out, Mane was pretty nifty in the centre forward role so he did a job there for the last few months at the club. But make mo mistake that he is not a world class striker, as he once was a world class winger. His hold up play isn't good enough for one, but that's no slight on his overall time with us. It's just not his natural game.

Having said all that, the Bundesliga is a weaker league and defenders there tend to look like rabbits in headlights when anybody runs at them; pace or not. Robben and Ribery played on the wing until about 35 before they were finished at that level. So i do believe Mane will walk into their side on the left wing and probably continue to bag 20-25 goals a season for the duration of his 3 year contract.

As much as his interviews have wound me up the last 4 weeks, i do wish him all the best. For me he has done enough to be remembered as a legend. The timing feels spot on though in my opinion.

My comment was more about how we laughed off a derisory £23m offer. Holding out for £42m and sell for £28m.

Huff the add-ons, player in decline my backside. He is up for the ballon d’or. So I stand by my comment, we got robbed. Mané has been kicked from pillar to post and never misses a game, always the most likely to skin a player. Fit as a butcher’s dog after playing how many games this season? And humble with it. A rare commodity.

Salah is the player in decline and still playing his “greedy as” football, yet he is the one we are stuck with. I am happy to eat my hat if Salah has a stellar season and will eat two hats if he signs a new contract.

Time stamp this mofo post.

You’ll never Walk Alone Sadio! Thank you.

17 Jun 2022 18:44:32
Salah has scored much more goals in 5 seasons than Mane did in 6,has just had his 2nd most productive season and HE'S the one in decline? Liking someone more than Salah does not miraculously make them a better footballer than Salah.

24.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 18:49:16
Mk my 30 comment was just me being vacuous mate as I’ve seen it written on here many a time not just about Mane but also Salah as a reason to sell both was they were approaching 30. The only forward that’s seems to get away with it is Bobby and out of the 3 for me he’s the one who’s shown the most decline over the last few seasons and last season he contributed the least but we cannot mention that as the narrative is Mane, Salah or Jota cost us games or titles due to being wasteful.

25.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 19:23:58
Certainly @Irish.
Never wanted to come back but I missed the hypocrisy over here lol. It was time to expose a few which I would gladly do again and again.
And regarding the balls, glad to see Liverpool singing “ we almost won the league” for the third time I guess? Lol.

26.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 19:27:35
Sadio is a beast of a footballer, still one of the best out there on the flanks, Balon D’Or-worthy and the cornerstone signing of Klopp’s revolution. Won the lot and left us with magnificent memories. And most importantly, a true gentleman. Lovely, Humble with a mean competitive streak and a credit to his people in Senegal. See ya soon, bro and thanks for all the memories. YNWA!

27.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 19:41:28
Agree on that JK23. Good as he once was, Bobby is an injury prone squad player now. If he doesn't accept a huge pay cut this will be his last season with us.

28.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 21:48:08
Salah is not on the decline. He is exhausted. Mane was on vacation in the Afcon until the final while Salah played 120 minutes 4 games and carried the very very average Egypt team to a final. He needs a rest and Klopp could have rested him more. Especially when we signed Diaz and Minamino was scoring for fun in the cups.

29.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 21:49:57
155 goals and 61 assists for Mo in about 45 games less. Clearly Mane is better in opposite world.

30.) 17 Jun 2022
17 Jun 2022 22:44:40
He wanted out, didn't he?
That sort of weakens our position in what to do with him.
We can't begrudge him his move and we should all move on.

17 Jun 2022 22:06:09
I love it when Ed001 tears into Harry. Absolutely brilliant. It's almost like Harry wants Ed to rip his arse and he makes it way too easy.

17 Jun 2022 20:18:07
Thought the league is done after Haaland harry. Why still so bothered with Liverpool's transfer activity. Take a season's break and come back next summer maybe.

Bissouma - year left on his contract. Goes for the same money as Mané.
Gabriel Jesus - year left on his contract, awful stats, crap striker. Only thing on his side is age. Seems to be going for more money than Mané.

Daylight robbery. We were done. Had our pants pulled down.

And yes Salah scores goals but he passes the ball twice in CL final instead of being greedy and out of form/ tired or worse still in decline (since Jan) and no7 is in the bag.

Firmino is the conduit. Without him those around him struggle. 0 goals in 3 finals? Where is the creativity coming from next season without him? Thiago? Can we rely on him for 40+ games? Same with Harvey and Carvalho - risky pinning our season on two youngsters.

Looks like it is the Trent and Robbo show. Again. But teams surely going to suss this one out sooner or later.

Great nail biting season ahead. I cannot wait.

But Salah is not the Messiah (“he’s a very naughty boy” ….

{Ed001's Note - we have not had our pants pulled down. You get what you can for a player with a known history of going on strike when he wants to leave. If anything we did well to get more than £20m. Some of you will just find anything to whine about when it comes to transfers. What difference does it even make? We used to let players go on the cheap all the time as a thank you for their service to us when we had replaced them. He has been replaced, he should be going with the blessing of the fans and the hope that any money Bayern feel they have saved on the transfer fee can go towards the good causes that Mane supports.}

We struggle to score without Firmino?
