Not that we've signed him yet but with all the rumors thought this might be worth posting. Just read a piece on sky sports about Darwin Nunez's weaknesses. They wrote about him suspending his social media, blocking people and avoiding comments (not sure how he blocked people and avoided comments after suspending his social media but hey that's journalist logic I suppose) when he went through a bad patch and fans got on his back. They thought this was a weakness as it shows he can't deal with criticism. I think it shows a bit of maturity. Rather than getting depressed by negative comments or saying something stupid in response he just avoided the problem altogether. Curious to know what everyone else's thoughts are? Personally I think it would be best if players avoided social media as much as possible.

Sounds to me like maturity beyond his years. So are Sky now going to praise Richarlison for his social media outbursts seeing as he replies to his criticism? I know what i'd prefer from our players!

Generally, when a player is linked to us through every media outlet - we don’t sign them….

Nunez has phoned Jurgen and told him his first and only choice is LFC.

He also told Jurgen that he is having his Honeymoon in Wales,
When Jurgen enquired where in Wales he and his new bride would be, he said "he was going to Bangor for a fortnight"!

My full views on social media aren't really printable.

In short I think Nunez is a smart bloke if he deactivated or suspended his social media profiles in response to people being knobs.

If tuning out keyboard warriors harassing him is his biggest weakness, then he must be a hell of a player.

How reacting to social media is reflective of or connected to over par or sub par football performance (which is what Sky is trying to imply) is, frankly, beyond me. I mean, you could have a fight with a wife or a gifriend that day, and still shut down your online presence. What's next? How he likes his eggs in the morning?

Normally I would say avoiding a problem altogether is not a healthy response. But probably a good thing. Seems a bit hard to say with limited other info about what happened?
