Just reading that Salah picked up another injury (or a continuation of the same problem more likely) on international duty with Egypt but refused to come back to Liverpool for a scan apparently.
I know Egypt are very sensitive when it comes to Salah but slightly disappointing, speaking as a Lfc fan of course) that Salah didn't listen to the club.
Another sign that all is not well?

{Ed001's Note - he wasn't asked to come back to the club, just to have a scan to check it was ok before playing. He waited until after the game to have the scan.}

Ah fair enough then Ed, thanks for clarifying that.
A bit disingenuous of the Beeb to suggest that Salah was at odds with the club.

{Ed001's Note - Salah is at odds with the club, they wanted him to have a scan in case the injury was serious enough to keep him out of the game. He played anyway.}

Juicer, the BBC didn't suggest that, they clearly state he refused LFC's advice to have a scan before the game, that's all.

Love Mo and he's been absolutely amazing for us since day 1. But I'm finding myself getting very irritated by him recently. He's coming across as selfish and rather arrogant. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm doing him a disservice, but can't help how I feel about him recently. Be interesting to know what klopps thinking about recent events.

that’s all? Ha, not sure this is a that’s all scenario. If the club wanted him to have a scan prior to playing it would have been with the hope of having influence as to whether he played or not. That Mo ignored it says a lot imo.

Stuie, I may have picked up the article wrongly or it may have been tweaked slightly from its earlier form but as I can’t recall that, I’d say the former of the two scenarios is more likely lol. A bit early still.
Anyway, I agree with Faithinworks, he shouldn’t have done that.

I'm not sure of the ins and outs, but when he is with the national squad, I think the National team have final say over whether he plays or not. I think Mo is just determined to play every possible game he can, which isn't always a good thing. Even if he had the scan prior to the game, he still would have played I reckon.

Don't understand the criticism of a player who wants to play bbe it for club or country. Salah will know how injured he is himself. If he wants to play why is it a negative. He's been a ultimate pro in his 5 years here. Some fans have short memories.

National teams often dismiss whatever the player's club says or offers to do esp. when it comes to players' fitness. I mean, Naby played the full 90 for Guinea once despite the club literally telling the National team setup that he was injured and could/ should not play. These things happen so not too bothered.
