So now that the league season is over, who would be in your team of the year? I've gone with a 4-3-3 because that's what the top two teams played for the majority of the season.

GK - Alisson. I don't think there were any truly outstanding candidates this season. Alisson was huge for us though, coming up with big one-on-one saves time and time again to keep us in the title race.

RB - TAA. Is there a better fullback, let alone rightback, in the world right now?

CB - VVD. Might not be back to his very best, but a VVD at 85% is still head and shoulders above anyone else.

CB - Marc Guehi. Personally thought it was very risky to spend so much on a defender without any top flight experience. One excellent season after, it looks like a mistake by Chelsea to sell him, especially with so many CBs leaving.

LB - Joao Cancelo. Arguably City's best player this season, which is saying something.

DM - Declan Rice. Very good player who had another very good season. You can see why West Ham are desperate to keep him, and why the top teams are desperate to sign him.

CM - KDB. If I could take only one player from City to add to the Liverpool squad, it has to be him. Brilliant player producing brilliant moments in another brilliant season.

CM - Bernardo Silva. He really stepped up this season. I thought about putting in the likes of Conor Gallagher in this final CM spot, but City simply wouldn't have won the title without Silva's contribution so he gets the nod.

RW - Salah. Suffered a dip after AFCON, but he was arguably the best player in the world for the first half of the season. I also thought about Saka, Bowen and Raphinha for half a second, but Mo was on top of both goals and assists tables despite missing an entire month of league football, so impossible to leave him out.

LW - Son Heung-Min. Critical to Spurs's CL qualification and ended up equal on goals with Salah.

ST - Sadio Mane. He gets in despite playing half the season out wide. This was in part down to how good he was through the centre and in part down to how dreadful the other striking options were.

That's a very good side, OP.
One change would be Kane for Mane, for me.

Andy robertson is the best left backs in the world. He's the clear left back slot. Cancelo is right up there but robertson is definitely overlooked by even some liverpool fans.

Cancelo is dreadful defensively. Robbo all day over him.
