Minamino: Forgotten man. Comes in and scores.

Bobby: Not started for six weeks, been injured for half of that time. Needed a few touches to get his eye in, but once he did, he was brilliant.

Elliot and Jones: Didn't set the world on fire, but tbf they didn't really let us down either if you think about it, did they? No one breezed past them for a chance, they didn't constantly turn the ball over, they didn't give away stupid fouls. I'll take that on a night like tonight from inexperienced players who've not been involved a lot recently.

It doesn't feel like THAT long long ago when Salah went down injured in a CL final and our only options were a barely fit Lallana and Dominic Solanke. Bit different now, isn't it?

It was a good performance by a team that doesn't play together that often. Tonight was about getting a result and we did that without Southampton barely laying a glove.

On to Sunday. Anything can happen in a one off game. I'm all in until until something tells me otherwise. We have given ourselves a squeak of a chance, a lot more than we had in January.

@TIR, spot on - to get where we have in the PL given the gap at the start of the year is incredible. The (alleged) best PL team ever were 14 points clear and getting ready to win the CL.

Now they are one point ahead and will be watching us on the telly when we play in the CL. Hell of a ride.

I'm really excited with how that lineup performed. I was worried when I saw the lineup itself, but am very happy with the result.

Winning this weekend is all we can do. Let's hope Villa gives us some help.

Its time for us fans to wear our heart on our sleeve. Forget about logic and the chances of us winning. It might only last 10 minutes on Sunday and City might be 2-0 up or cruising 4-0 at HT but until then believe. Even if we don't do it at least we will have shown an emotion, much better than the negative fans with the fear of losing so they don't get upset or annoyed just so they can say "I told you so" when its over. let's enjoy it, a great team and manager. This will not last forever.

Spot on, boys. Bobbie was brilliant. Form is Temporary. Class is permanent" comes to mind here. Mino? The guy is mint. 10 goals in 24 games as 6th/ 7th choice striker/ forward? No team can boast of such a player with brilliant ability and great mentality and selflessness.

As for City, I bet you if Villa are up by 1 goal on 70 mins, they start bricking it.
