With Fabinho out tomorrow, I wonder if Milner would come into consideration in midfield. Personally I think I'd feel a bit more at ease with Milner coming into Fabinho's role alongside Thiago and Henderson.

I just look at Thiago, Hendo and Keita as a midfield three and think we could lose the game in midfield.

I'd rather Milner come off the bench, either as someone to close out the match or so he can take part in a potential shootout since I can't see him playing a full 120 minutes before then.

Milner is a good shout.
With those three though, and another game to come on Tuesday, it’s substitutions of who and when.
Keita, Jones, Elliott, Ox and maybe young Morton might get some game time.
If not in the cup final, then definitely next week.

Kieta started the last final against Chelsea. Posters might hate him but Klopp seems to rate him.

yeah midfield feels a bit weak. Just imagine another injury and it won't look that good. Crazy idea but i would either play a back 3 with Konate, VVD, Matip or let one of those play as a DCM.

Milner certainly won't be taking Fabinho's role. There is off course a chance that he could start on the right but Henderson will certainly drop into Fabs spot in my opinion.

Henderson was class against Villa when replacing Fab, im hoping he goes positive and its Hendo, Thiago and Jones,

Who is hating?

The point was - and I think it's clear enough - that a three of Thiago, Henderson and Keita would worry me a little, and that Milner would give us something closer to what we get from Fabinho.

Make it Milner, Thiago and Keita if you like, if that's not showing too much hate to Hendo.

Sigh.

Yeah I can see Matip play a 6 role for us with VVD and Konate behind him . Maybe that’s an option and like you say we can always bring Milner in later.

I seriously think that firmino would do much better in the role keita has been playing lately, hendo and thiago behind him. I know it's very attack minded, but why not just go for it. I think him and thiago would link up brilliantly. Whatever happens I hope jota doesn't start, I know he scores goals but he loses the ball far too much, his first touch is as if he's kicking a balloon.

RR Milner really doesn’t play the defensive anchor position very well. I’d far rather Henderson who can just about play there.

Keita's dropped off again since the couple of good games he had in April, so I'd say there's equal chance of him being brilliant and being invisible. Milner's level is more dependable but he'll probably be out of gas after 70 minutes.

Which gamble do you take?

I'm going for Hendo-Thiago-AOC. AOC brings more offensive threat than Keita even with Keita being in better form.

It'll be Henderson, Thiago and Keita. I prefer Henderson holding rather than on the right but I wish Fabinho was fit. There's not much cover after those three; well, not cover that has been playing regularly.
My prediction is Keita to receive a card. And Milner, too, if he comes on late on and we're hanging on.
