Huge win, unfortunately still need favours in the league which I fear won't be forth coming. However the two Cup finals are massive. And in all fairness we have played averagely for a few weeks and not been beaten. I think on Saturday and certainly the on the 28th average will not cut it. We need to start games faster, be sharper and be on it. There's a number of players dipping at the wrong time. Need to get beck up to thier high high standards again. So looking foward to Saturday, love the FA Cup and can't wait to see Hendo lift it.

Starting midfield was completely wrong for me. I *still* remain unconvinced by Keita. Was Milner injured? Jones *and* Keita weakened the middle too much.

@RedTed, we are at the stage now with 4 games left where winning is all that matters.

I live watching us playing brilliant free flowing football but I’d take 4 boring (1 - 0 to the Arsenal) type wins between now and the end of the season, especially if City contrive to drop 3 or 4 points in their final 3 games.

{Ed0666's Note - we were absolutely abysmal today. Mistake after mistake after mistake. I lost count of the number of times we lost possession. I’m glad we won but if we play like that against Madrid Modric, Benzema & the Brazilian winger will be licking their lips!

Taken as a one off game totally out of context I agree with you Ed.

However, given it was the 59th game of the season the fact that we won is all that matters. It’s fair to say that it wasn’t our strongest starting 11 either.

We were poor agreed but it isn’t a disaster.

{Ed0666's Note - city have played a few games this season they werent too shabby against the Geordie’s. We have to buy understudy’s first fab & Trent in the summer. We can’t keep flogging them both.
